Amotekun:
The Last Straw That Broke
The
Camel’s Back
Nigerians will pretend to be unaware until you hit the limit of
absurdities. Nearly five years now they sheepishly followed Gen. Muhammadu
Buhari (retd) and allowed him to revel in the gale of dominant and untouchable
warrior. He privatized, Muslimized, northernized, and fulanized governance with
brazen impunity. The southwest have answered him with Amotekun. Then his
fulanized supreme court responded with yet another spurious verdict on Imo
state election petitions.
The apex court created its own results by which it delivered a ruling in
which the number of votes exceeded the number of accredited voters. It
delivered that verdict to confirm to Nigerians that the man Buhari foisted on
the apex court lacked basic knowledge of arithmetic. He was a sharia judge.
Tongues are wagging. Masses are out on the streets protesting. But beyond the
entire abracadabra lies the evident truth that Nigerians have taken a stand to
resist the tyrant.
The southwest spoke with Amotekun. Just yesterday a team of Monarchs from
both the hinterland and riverine areas of Biafra who paid a condolence visit to
the home of the Supreme Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi
Nnamdi Kanu, spoke boldly in support of Biafra. They seem fed up with being
treated as second rate in their own homes. Prof. Itse Sagay, if anyone has
noticed, has recently been voicing displeasure over the mistreatment of
southern Nigeria. The cookies are crumbling.
The Buhari government has helped in no small measures to advance the
course of IPOB. Any southerner who is yet to realize that we have been enslaved
all the while by the Fulani north must be an irredeemable moron. The west is
not going back on Amotekun, and the east is not going back on the independent
state of Biafra. The first step to self-reliant state is to have a strong
military. The southwest just inaugurated its own army.
Second is to orientate that army and equip it. Third is to call for a
peaceful negotiated exit, or you call the bluff of the authority. You are able
to defend yourself. Things are moving so fast now, and the new independent
Biafra may come sooner than we imagined. We have to get ready. We have to start
working on the development and industrialization blueprints. We have to start
working on what kind of military and police force we want. We have to start
mapping out the region and how to hit the ground running. We have to start
working on what kind of education we want for our children. We must not be
caught unprepared.
In one of my previous articles, I asserted that the coming of Biafra is
now inevitable. Nigeria’s breakup is imminent. The losers will be northern
Nigeria. However much they have taken out of the southern region cannot help
it. Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen, and bandits – terrorist organizations now
assembled as Jihad army for Islamic conquest of the south – will turn around to
destroy the north.
Biafra will survive because it will be led by a liberator, not a
politician. The liberator who lost both parents in the course of the struggle would
want to prove a point by taking Biafra to the summit of economic, technology
and military power. He would want nothing else.
