Leter To The 109 Nigeria Senators Not To Support Social Media And Hate Speech Bill

TO THE 109 SENATORS OF NIGERIA

                    TO STOP SOCIAL MEDIA

                   AND HATE SPEECH BILL
Distinguish Senators Sirs,

I am Nnamd Obodoechi, who hailed from Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State; I reside in Athens Greece for many years now.

It is my pleasure to have your contact today! Today, I want to lay down my own perceptive about SOCIAL MEDIA and HATE SPEECH BILLS sponsored by Senator Representing Niger in the person of Aliyu Abdullahi that carries the death penalty. Hahahahahah! Nigeria on fire!

I write to inform the 109 Nigerian Senators to know that any Senator, supporting the BILLS OF SOCIAL MEDIA and HATE SPEECH is bringing more burdens to Nigeria / Nigerians.
The Fact remains that passing such HATE SPEECH and SOCIAL MEDIA BILLS means that Nigeria's Government is no longer practicing Democracy.

My question is: If you support such BILLS, which means the freedom of expression or freedom of speech as enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution is worthless.

No country in the world has ever constitutionalized that type of Bills and this type of BILLS will bring anarchy into the Country because freedom of expression must exist, no one can stop freedom of expression. Sponsoring such bills by Aliyu Abdullahi makes Nigeria a laughing stock in the eyes of the rest of the world.

Finally, no right-thinking SENATOR should support such BILLS because it denies citizens their fundamental Human Rights.
It is only the target of Senator Aliyu Abdullahi and his bad cronies to kill and maim people in Nigeria, to achieve their devilish aims and Objectives.

Remain Blessed as you heed this!

      Thanks.

     Your's hater of evil,

      Comrade Nnamd Obodoechi.

British Government High Commissioner Visiting S/ East

THE CYNICISM OF THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT
ON THE PLIGHT OF BIAFRANS SHOWCASED,
AS THE HIGH COMMISSIONER TOURS BIAFRALAND
It is quite unfortunate that at such a time like this when the organized International Community expects the British government's intervention on the plight of the indigenous people groups, it is neck deep on the embarkment of self-serving intrigues. The British government and it's officials yet derive joy and satisfaction in the continuous plight of the people of Biafra, Oduduwa and Hausa, lumped together in an unworkable union called Nigeria in the West African sub-region. Instead of strategizing to save humanity from another catastrophe, Britain is yet exploring options to try to keep the Nigerian contraption one, not minding the growing misery of the people. The cynical struggle by the officials of the British government to perpetuate the existence of Nigeria, was demonstrated once again through the desperate and needles tour of the British High Commissioner, Catriona Laing, to Biafraland, which she described as the South-East States of Imo, Anambra and Enugu. According to the High Commissioner, she would be meeting with government officials, traditional rulers and civil society organizations, to gather needed information regarding security and development within the region.
Now that it is Biafraland's turn to witness 3-days visit ever, by the distrustful British High Commissioner, it is pertinent therefore, to bring to her notice, series of obnoxious cum devilish policies of the Nigerian government bedevilling the region. This is to enable her masters get acquainted with the appropriate and accurate information about issues. Nigeria government's draconian policies against Biafrans in their homeland which she intently described as "South-East", include:
(1) UNWARRANTED MILITARY SIEGE AND EXTORTION
When the British High Commissioner, Catriona Laing gets back to Abuja to compile her findings, she should not fail to report the unwarranted military siege, occupation, intimidation and criminal extortion being shamelessly perpetrated against innocent Biafran citizens by the fulanised Nigerian soldiers in the region. It is necessary that she finds out from her hosting Fulani puppeted government officials, traditional rulers and civil society organizations, the rationale behind the bizarre military occupation of 100℅ relatively peaceful Biafra territories. Stipulated in the so-called Nigeria Constitution of 1999 as amended, the Nigeria armed military personnel involvement with such an occupation, is only required when a proclamation of state of emergency is effected, when a territory or region experiences breakdown of law and order to the extent that a such is being termed enemy territory or at least, when there is insurrection, defying the control of the police. It is only in such situations that the assistance of the military is required to help restore normalcy. The above listed conditions were never the case in Biafraland where the Nigerian soldiers are densely detailed today, criminally extorting money, victimizing and shamelessly killing the people. As Catriona Laing tours the three earmarked States of Imo, Anambra and Enugu, she should pass through innumerable military road blocks and police check points. Let it be made known to her that those security points on the way are designated extortion, intimidation/torture and killing outposts.
(2) INFRASTRUCTURAL DECAY DOTTING THE REGION
It is really gladdening that the British High Commissioner will be touring the region she surreptitiously tagged "South-East", on state by state voyage by road as there exists no longer any functional airport. She should brace up for her unbiased report pertaining the complete infrastructural eyesore of the region. Virtually all the federal roads in the so-called "South-East" where she would ply, are terribly dilapidated. It will interest the High Commissioner to also know that she cannot pick up a flight from Owerri in Imo State to any other city in Biafraland. The Nigerian government controlled by the Fulani cabals, has shut down the half-baked Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu just to cripple the economy of the region. This further explains their oppressive policies through zero aviation transportation against Biafrans. Although the federal government of Nigeria under the flimsy excuse on carrying out the renovation work, blatantly shut down the airport for three months running now without any appreciable end in view. The hydra-looting Nigeria government has relentlessly continued to hoodwink the gullible that the renovation project could not be completed due to lack of funds.
(3) FULANI HEADSMEN TERRORISM IN THE REGION
Catriona Laing, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria in her tour, is expected not to limit her voyage to the three major cities in the States. Her voyage to Imo, Anambra and Enugu should afford her the opportunity of interacting with the villagers too, so as to garner untainted information regarding the activities and menace of the Fulani killer herdsmen in the region over the years. It is unfortunate that the government of the United Kingdom cynically continues to feign ignorance of the ordeals of the Indigenous People of Biafra in the hands of these marauding Islamic terrorists. In most rural communities within Biafraland and particularly in Igboland, these marauding cattle herders satisfactorily kill the land owners, destroy farmlands/produce and pillage communities at will. These frequently happen in Ebonyi State as well as in Anambra-West local government area of Anambra State respectively. The worst of this their trade is that it is being sponsored by the Nigerian government with the President as the grand patron of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), the umbrella body of the Fulani herdsmen. The federal government yet hypocritically claims incapable of containing the attacks of these criminals ravaging the region.
If therefore, those political leaders, traditional rulers and civil society organizations awaiting the visitor fail to catalog the above mentioned issues in the course of inquiry, it will then clearly confirm that the British High Commissioner only succeeded in meeting a band of self-serving politicians, sycophantic traditional rulers and compromised civil society organizations. Catriona Laing is highly welcome to Biafraland but she must be firmly told to desist from referring to Biafrans as people of the South-East for there exists absolutely no such referral to any part of her native country of Scotland.

WE NEED SEA PORTS IN THE SOUTHEAST ASAP

WE NEED SEA PORTS
IN THE
SOUTHEAST ASAP

When i went to Oseakwa Ihiala Anambra to take a look at the Orashi River, the closest potential seaport we have in Nigeria that linked Ndi Igbo to Atlantic Ocean.
After my meeting with Oseakwa Youth one of their leaders who based in Lagos his is name Prince TonyMax who took me to his house. During our interaction on the need to dredge Orashi Oseakwa River. To my utmost dismay and shock TonyMax revealed to me that, "Shipping goods from China to Nigeria cost #N800,000 for 40ft containers.
• To move the same container from Lagos Seaport to Trade fair Lagos cost #N1million
• To move the container from Lagos to Southeast Nigeria cost #N1.2 to 1.5million
• FG charges #20,000 each day for 40ft container packed at the seaport.
Meaning, it is cheaper to import from China to Nigeria, than to move the goods from Lagos to any part of the Country.
It may interest you to know that Lagos Seaport to Atlantic Ocean is 60 nautical miles, While the Potential Seaport we have in Oseakwa that was abandoned in 1959 is only 18 nautical miles to Atlantic Ocean.
Shipping goods from China to Lagos with Lagos Seaport is very far than shipping goods from China to Oseakwa Ihiala, using the Seaport at Urashi River Ihiala Anambra state.
This means that Imo, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra, Rivers, Delta, Edo Beyelsa, Benue, Kogi and Akwaibom business men living in Lagos will find it easy to have their business in south- East and South-south by using Oseakwa seaport when it's dredged.
THIS A STUDY DONE BY OHAKIM (Former governor Imo State) on this issue.
Please, let it be known from today that South East is not landlocked. It is only our economy that is locked. One quick way of unlocking the economy of South East is through marine business.
Contrary to the impression that the South East is landlocked, the truth is that it has one of the potentially deepest seaports in the country at Osemoto/Oseokwa in Imo and Anambra States.
A seaport was designated there in 1959, but the project was abandoned and the admiralty member erased for obvious political reasons. African Development Bank (ADB) feasibility report on this is unambiguous.
Oseokwa (Ihiala LGA, Anambra State) and Osemoto (Oguta LGA, Imo State) are the deepest natural harbor in the country (over 20m deep) and offer real naval and marine transportation platforms if developed. Besides, it lies only 18 nautical miles to the Atlantic Ocean and a strategic hub for the oil industry and inland dry-docks to promote trade.
This potential seaport has the capacity of handling over 35 per cent of marine business in Nigeria. As a matter of fact, it was the attraction to these potentials that made my administration in Imo state to site the Oguta Wonder Lake and Resort Centre in the area to encourage the federal government and foreign investors. If Ndigbo pursue and complete the seaport, it will also open up over 3,000 square kilometers of the most fertile agricultural land that has one of the highest alluvial deposits which has been in existence for well over a million years.
My pursuit of this revolutionary project attracted both national and international panic and may have cost me second tenure as governor (see “Demoracy By Military Tank” by Ethelbert Okere).
This deep seaport will create over two million jobs, directly and indirectly, in marine business, oil and gas, power, education, housing, agro-food industry, entertainment, tourism, etc. With that type of setting, Igbo youths will have no need to crisscross the country in search of jobs and in the process endangering their young lives.
Excerpts of his lecture delivered at the First International Chinua Achebe Conference held at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State, on Tuesday 23 May, 2017.
