BRUCE MAYROCK A TRUE SACRIFICE
AND
WHY I AM DEJECTED IN NIGERIAN
PASTORS (1ST JOHN 3:16).

Published 18th October 2018.
I will start this article by
reminding u that the history of BIAFRA and her struggle would not be complete
without the name Bruce Mayrock.
Let's know about this man.
Bruce Mayrock was born on the 6th
of May,1949. According to history he was a Jewish American citizen living in
New York and was a student of Colombia University.
History also told us that he was
one who those who designed plate cards to be used in protest AGAINST BIAFRA
genocide. Also according to a Jewish rabbi,he had written to American president
and UN body but all was abortive.
On the 29th day of may 1969, He
went to UN and pour petrol on himself and set himself ablaze
Two UN guards spotted the flames
and chased him across the lawn with fire extinguisher. But Mayrock eluded the
guards racing in front of the north lounge of the building before several
hundred horrified delegates and onlookers.
He finally fell to his knees
beside a statue bearing the biblical inscription "LET US BEAT OUR WORDS
INTO PLOWSHARES" and the guards extinguished the flames.
Mayrock was rushed to Bellevue
hospital where he was listed with critical condition with burns over most of
his body and was pronounced dead shortly after midnight (2am) on the 30th day
of May 1969.
At the UN,guards found a large
cardboard sign on the front lawn which Said "U MUST STOP THE GENOCIDE-
PLEASE SAVE 9MILLION BIAFRANS" and at the bottom of the sign,a quotation
read, "PEACE IS WHERE THERE IS AN ABSENCE OF FEAR OF ANY KIND".
Before I go further, let's also
understand what the Bible said in 1st John 3:16.
1john 3:16 says "For Christ laid down his life for us and we ought to do
same to others".
This young man(Bruce Mayrock) who
was just 20 really pragmatised what this part of the Bible was talking about.
Jesus Christ sacrificed his life
for humanity and he Bruce Mayrock SACRIFICEd his life for Biafrans, ppl he has
never met before
At this point I say again, RIP
BRUCE MAYROCK. May ur gentle soul continue to rest in peace. Amen
Now coming down to our
contemporary, the kind of PASTORS we have in Nigeria today are those who for me
are only selfish and never ready to do what The Bible talks about in 1john
3:16.
Yeah,there many ways to do
sacrifice, it might be by
Giving alms
Going to the hospital to pay their bills
Starting up a business for the poor
Sending these children roaming round the streets to school
Helping our poor fellow.
But pastors and church have
actually disappointed me in this aspect.
In Nigeria today,schools owned by
churches are paying higher in school fees than those own by government and
private individuals. What's the love and sacrifice the Bible is talking about
here?. The same school was built as a result of contributions, offerings,
tithes and seeds from the same members but at the end of the day,the so called
pastor will monopolize the whole thing,he will be the one to give name to the
school, tagg it any price he chooses and used the money realized from the fees
to buy himself private jets while poor members amongst them cannot be able to
train themselves in the same school because of the high cost of fees. Is this
godly?.
The same pastors and bishops
during Election period would allow Politicians to come to church to do campaign
to the point of using the altar as a platform. Ones the Politician is doene,he
would give out millions to the so called man of God but this money would never
be used for the welfare of the poor members but pastor will used the whole cash
for his selfish interest. Is this godly?.
In Nigeria toaday we have many
brothers and sisters littered in the hospitals for one case or the other but
these pastors cannot begin to locate them and helping them out there but they
Will use the money realized from his members for their own interests..
Many people are dying today as a
result of government sponsored terrorism but we never heard that these so
Criminals CALLED bishops and pastors have ever paid these communities a visit
to commiserate with them. Where is the love and sacrifice?.
Ipob members were massacred in a
Catholic church at onitcha on the 29th day of may 2016 but non of the so called
men of God ever raised their voice against the Carnage. They were actually
silent even when ppl are looking up to them as religious leaders to act..
Mrs magret a member of winners
chapel was beheaded for spreading the word of God but the so called bishops
were silent over this why because it's not their blood or relation.
Boko Haram have being killing
people for over 8yrs now but these so called men of God are afraid to hold
crusade and preaching of God's words in the northern part of NIGERIA while it
says preach to every tribe in mark 16:15.
In conclusion to this article,I
want to tell u plainly without mincing words that am so so disappointed in
Nigerian pastors. Yes they have actually failed us. They are the ones making
christainity looks like a child play today.. their silent is a sign that they
are not ready to pragmatised what they stand at the altar every Sunday to
preach.
These so called men of God should emulate Bruce Mayrock for Christ sake. This
is getting out of hand and when u speak now, some CREDULOUS ones will tell u not
to touch an anointed man of God!. Shall we continue to be silent also when
things are going wrong.
The government have failed us woefully but with the kind of money these pastors
realizes on a weekly basis,if they team up and take infrastructural development
project here in the country, these place would have been better. Church would
raise millions to build church while their members are suffering like hell.
There is hunger in the land and the pastors are comfortable with these ugly
situation.
I am personally not happy!!!!!!!.

This Is The Story Of Bruce Mayrock, He Set Himself Ablaze Before
The United Nations To Protest The Killing Of Biafrans
Bruce is Mayrock is the No1
Biafran Unsung Hero. While the war of extermination raged on in Biafraland, the
whole world watched in awe as the combined forces of British, USSR, Egypt and
Nigeria bombard and place an economic blockade over Biafraland, while the
United States of America supervise them. This Noble Gentleman Tried all he
could to get the attention of the United Nations to stop the Genocide going on
in Biafraland but all to no avail.
So he paid the ultimate sacrifice by giving his life so that the Biafrans may
be saved. He set himself ablaze in the UN garden in New York, yet the UN did
nothing to help the Biafrans even up till today. While he set himself ablaze he
had a sign with the inscription:
“You Must Stop Genocide! Please Save Nine Million Biafrans”
If you are a Biafran, you are owe Bruce Mayrock. He gave his life that you may
live.
Bruce Mayrock was born may 6, 1949 and he took his own life for people whom he
never met before in may 30, 1969.
Two United Nations guards spotted the flames and chased the youth across the
lawn with fire extinguisher. But Mayrock eluded the guards, racing in front of
the North Lounge of the building before several hundred horrified delegates and
onlookers.
The student finally fell to his knees beside a statue bearing the Biblical
inscription “Let us beat our swords into plowshares * and the guards
extinguished the flames. Mayrock was rushed to ßellevue Hospital where he was
listed in critical condition with burns over most of his body and was
pronounced dead shortly after midnight. At the U.N., guards found a large
cardboard sign on the front lawn which said, “You must stop the genocide–please
save 9 million Biafrans.” At the bottom of the sign, a quotation read, “Peace
is where there is an absence of fear of any kind.” hero on fire.
In past years, two other persons have immolated themselves in front of the U.N. Both died of their burns. Mayrock, who lived in Westbury, L.1., enrolled in GS and the Jewish Theological Seminary in September, 1967, but dropped out after one year and studied briefly at Hofstra University. He re-enrolled at GS last January. While at Columbia, Mayrock worked as a photographer for the Spectator sports department. Members of the youth’s family stated Friday that he had worked’ actively to protest the war in Biafra, writing letters about the war to the President and leading government figures.
However, according to one rabbi,
‘ who said he was close to the family, the student believed that “no one was
listening.” “He was an idealistic young man deeply upset by the events in
Biafra,” the rabbi said. “People were being killed and he felt no one was doing
anything. That’s why he did what he did.
