Fulani Herdsmen: Prof Wole
Soyinka Vindicates
Nnamdi Kanu
# NnamdiKanu, 6th Feb. 2014
“The Fulani will take over the entire south as
a continuation of their age
old agenda to Islamize Eastern Nigeria.
They will brazenly seize our land in pretence of
creating crazing fields for the Fulani. Then the
conquest will be complete, we will become their
serfs forever” #Nnamdi
Kanu, 6th Nov 2014
“Then a group deadlier than Boko Haram
will emerge, they will seize our farmland, rape our
women, kill our people and their master will
protect, defend and even arm them, because
their sole agenda is to enslave us forever. Those who
cannot
see it now, will soon see it. The hatred
in their souls for my people is legendary. They do not see
us as humans. They kill, they slaughter, they
burn and they destroy. Mindless bloodletting is in their
DNA. My people are in trouble”
Nobel
Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka has disclosed that herdsmen invaded his home while
he was abroad with the cows leaving a motorable path.
In an address to the National Conference on Culture and Tourism
on April 27, Soyinka decried the ruthless manner with which the herdsmen have
conducted their business of late.
He stressed that Nigerias tourism will never boom if it continues to tolerate
such insecurity, noting that, culture and tourism are interdependent.
He also stated that the federal government led by President
Muhammadu Buhari has not done enough to stop the onslaught of the herdsmen.
Let me narrate a personal experience just one among many that
was brought home to me, right against my doorstep. Before that specific
happening, I had observed a change of quality in forest encounters with cattle
herdsmen over the years. These changes had become sufficiently alarming for me
to arrange meetings with a few governors and, later, with the late National
Security Adviser General Azazi. At the time, we thought that they were Boko
Haram, infiltrating into the south under the guise of cattle herding. That was
then, and of course, that surmise has never been firmly proven or disproved, he
said in a press statement.
Narrating his experience, he said:
Recently, however, I returned from a trip outside the country
about to find that my home ground had been invaded, and a brand-new Appian way
sliced through my sanctuary. That motorable path was made by the hoofed
invaders. Both the improvised entry and exit are now blocked, but interested
journalists are invited to visit.
In over two
decades of living in that ecological preserve, no such intrusion had ever occurred.
I have no idea whether they were Fulani or Futa Jalon herdsmen but, they were
cattle herders, and they had cut a crude swathe through my private grounds.
I made
enquiries and sent alerts around, including through the Baale of our
neighborhood village. There has been no repeat, and hopefully, it will remain
the first and last of such invasion. What it portends, however, is for all
thinking citizens to reflect upon, and take concerted measures against.

Address to the National Conference on Culture and Tourism. April 27, 2016
THE KILLING CULTURE OF THE NEO-NOMADIC
Culture is
closely intertwined with tourism the former, in fact, often drives the latter.
The destination uppermost in the minds of most tourists we know is Culture.
This means that both share friends and enemies. Of the principal enemies,
seeing that we find ourselves within the precincts of governance, I intend to
engage your attention in this brief address to just one: Insecurity. That
inability of any vacationist to let go completely, relax, submit oneself
completely to the offerings of a new environment the sounds, sights, smells,
textures and taste. Of Culture itself, in and or out of the touristic intent,
there is no ambiguity in the mind of its enemies. They make no bones about
their detestation call them Taliban, Daesh or ISIS, Al Shabab or Boko Haram.
Their hatred is pathological and impassioned to a degree that goes beyond the
pale, beyond insanity and sadly beyond cure. The duty of governance towards
such retrogressive outbreaks remains unambiguous.
After Boko
Haram, what next? In fact, at this moment, Boko Haram has no after since it is
by no means ended, no matter what technical expressions such as militarily
degraded means. But let us assume indeed that we are already in the past of
Boko Haram. It is now clear that the succession is already decided, the vacated
space is already conceded, and that the new territorial aspirants are already
securely positioned. The entire nation appears to be theirs without a struggle,
and the continuity of an established Nigerian necropolis north to south and
east to west is being consolidated.
Some
necropoles are actually architecturally fascinating. They attract visitors from
distant places, but those are works of veneration, artistry, and dedication.
They are visual feasts, among whose structures the visitors actually picnic,
leave flowers and symbolic gifts to hovering ancestors. Latin America is full
of them. The Nigerian widening necropoles leave only the taste of bile in the
mouth, the corrosion of hate, stench and rage.
When I read
a short while ago, the Presidential assurance to this nation that the current
homicidal escalation between the cattle prowlers and farming communities would
soon be over, I felt mortified. He had the solution, he said. Cattle ranches
were being set up, and in another 18 months, rustlings, destruction of
livelihood and killings from herdsmen would be a thing of the past. Eighteen
months, he assured the nation. I believe his Minister of Agriculture echoed
that later, but with a less dispiriting time schema. Neither, however, could be
considered a message of solace and reassurance for the ordinary Nigerian farmer
and the lengthening cast of victims, much less to an intending tourist to the
Forest Retreat of Tinana in the Rivers, the Ikogosi Springs or the moslem
architectural heritage of the ancient city of Kano. In any case, the external
tourists have less hazardous options.
However, there is also internal tourism, to be considered a premium asset both
economically and in the spirit of nation building and personal edification.
This was an exercise I indulged in in the early sixties as a by-product of
other engagements, such as research. A lot, however, was simply under
curiosity. I can claim, modestly claim to be among the top twenty-five per cent
internally travelled Nigerians, acquainted with the smells, textures, and
tastes of their geographical habitation. I wish the late Segun Olusola were
around to testify to the sudden bouts of tourist explorations we made in his
Volkswagen Beetle in the pre-war sixties.
But now,
would the adventurous young set out to visit the mystery caves of Anambra and
its alleged curative pools from mere interest? They would think twice about it.
It is not merely arbitrary violence that reigns across the nation but total,
undisputed impunity. Impunity evolves and becomes integrated in conduct when
crime occurs and no legal, logical and moral response is offered. I have yet to
hear this government articulate a firm policy of non-tolerance for the serial
massacres have become the nations identification stamp. I have not heard an
order given that any cattle herders caught with sophisticated firearms be
instantly disarmed, arrested, placed on trial, and his cattle confiscated. The
nation is treated to an eighteen-month optimistic plan which, to make matters
worse, smacks of abject appeasement and encouragement of violence on innocents.
Let me repeat, and of course I only ask to be corrected if wrong: I have yet to
encounter a terse, rigorous, soldierly and uncompromising language from this
leadership, one that threatens a response to this unconscionable blood-letting
that would make even Boko Haram repudiate its founding clerics.
It is now close to a year since I attempted to utilize the Open Forum platform
of the Centre for Culture and International Understanding, Oshogbo, to launch a
national debate on the topic SACRED COWS OR SACRED RIGHTS. The signs were
already clear and the rampage of impunity was already manifesting a cultic
intensity of alarming proportions. For reasons which are too distasteful to go
into here, the forum did not take place. We were already agreed that General
Buhari be invited to give a keynote address, based on his long experience in
such matters as former head of state, and as a cattle rearer himself who might
be be able to penetrate the mentality of this post-Boko Haram pestilence. That
challenge remains open, but should now involve this gathering, which surely
includes tourist and educational agencies. They should join hands with human
rights organizations, the Ministry of Agriculture, Farming and local Vigilante
associations etc. It is a gauntlet thrown down to be picked up, and urgently,
by any of the affected or troubled sectors of society, or indeed any capable
and interested party at this conference. The CBCIU is prepared to collaborate.
Let me
narrate a personal experience just one among many that was brought home to me,
right against my doorstep. Before that specific happening, I had observed a
change of quality in forest encounters with cattle herdsmen over the years.
These changes had become sufficiently alarming for me to arrange meetings with
a few governors and, later, with the late National Security Adviser General
Azazi. At the time, we thought that they were Boko Haram, infiltrating into the
south under the guise of cattle herding. That was then, and of course, that
surmise has never been firmly proven or disproved.
Recently,
however, I returned from a trip outside the country about to find that my home
ground had been invaded, and a brand-new Appian way sliced through my
sanctuary. That motorable path was made by the hoofed invaders. Both the
improvised entry and exit are now blocked, but interested journalists are
invited to visit. In over two decades of living in that ecological preserve, no
such intrusion had ever occurred. I have no idea whether they were Fulani or
Futa Jalon herdsmen but, they were cattle herders, and they had cut a crude
swathe through my private grounds. I made enquiries and sent alerts around,
including through the Baale of our neighborhood village. There has been no
repeat, and hopefully, it will remain the first and last of such invasion. What
it portends, however, is for all thinking citizens to reflect upon, and take
concerted measures against.
Herdsmen, let us appreciate, are perhaps humanitys earliest known
tourists. They must be taught however that there is a culture of settlement,
and learn to seek accommodation with settled hosts wherever encountered. The
leadership of any society cannot stand idly and offer solutions that implicitly
deem the massacres of innocents mere incidents on the way to that learning
school. For every crime, there is a punishment, for every violation, there must
be restitution. The nomads of the world cannot place themselves above the law
of settled humanity.

British PM caught on camera
describing Nigeria as ‘fantastically corrupt’ nation
The British
Prime Minister, Mr. David Cameron was on Tuesday caught on camera telling Queen
Elizabeth that leaders of some “fantastically corrupt” countries, including
Nigeria and Afghanistan, were due to attend his anti-corruption summit.
He spoke at a time when President Muhammadu Buhari is airborne
to the United Kingdom for the summit where he is scheduled to deliver a keynote
address entitled: “Why We Must Tackle Corruption Together”.
Cameron will host an international anti-corruption summit on
Thursday aimed at stepping up global action to combat corruption in all walks
of life. He was talking with the queen about the summit in a meeting, the video
of which was obtained by Reuters.
“We had a very successful cabinet meeting this morning, talking
about our anti-corruption summit,” Cameron said when the queen approached. “We
have got the Nigerians – actually we have got some leaders of some
fantastically corrupt countries coming to Britain.
“Nigeria and Afghanistan – possibly two of the most corrupt
countries in the world,” he said.
The queen did not however respond to Cameron’s statement, even
as the Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Rev’d Justin Welby chipped in that “But
this particular president is actually not corrupt.”
Some of the world dignitaries expected at the summit, which will
also have acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, in attendance, include: US
secretary of state, John Kerry; Managing director of the International Monetary
Fund, IMF, Ms. Christine Lagarde; and World Bank president, Jim Yong Kim.
Afghanistan is at number 166, second-from-bottom, in the latest
ranking of countries by the campaign group Transparency International’s
Corruption Perceptions Index, while Nigeria is at number 136 in the index.
Some of the world dignitaries expected at the conference, which
will also have the acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, in attendance,
include: US secretary of state, John Kerry; Managing director of the
International Monetary Fund, IMF, Christine Lagarde; and World Bank president,
Jim Yong Kim.
I am Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous people of Biafra and also
the director of radio Biafra, I have restored Biafra without a gunshot, I have destroyed Nigeria with truth and I have conquered Nigeria with ChukwuOkikeAhbiama. They waited for mehbiam to bomb and shoot, but I refused to use metallic bullet and atomic bombs, I only used intellectual bullets and bombs and I have flawlessly won the war. I stood just ordinary radio station and propagated the gospel of ChukwuOkikeAhbiama, the word God is power and that power have destroyed Nigeria and restored Biafra.
I observed freedom of speech and fearlessly preached truth, I am fearless even before death because I am prophesy of over 400 years ago. If God is not man then his prophesy shall come to pass and those that stand against God will know Chiukwuokikeahbiama is creation.
I have lawfully
followed stipulated procedures for self- determination and have never been involved in any form of violence or crime, I have always told you Biafrans to be disciplined and law-abiding and you have made me proud. I am grateful that we are whiter than white and whiter than snow. We have no dishonor neither do we have any spot, they have killed us mercilessly and we have never killed back yet they arrested us and tried to break us to betray Biafra. They arrested me for saying the truth, nothing but the truth.
They arrested me
for demanding
Biafra, they arrested me for embracing
freedom of speech. They conspired and arrested me for being lawful and demanding attention. They arrested me because peace is prohibited in Nigeria; they arrested me because dialogue is impossible in Nigeria. They arrested me because I refused to take up arms, they arrested me because I defeated them
intellectually. When a man is defeated by reason,
he sought to discharge his frustration on
justice. I am a prisoner of conscience and I
am sure the world still have conscience.
I am Nnamdi Kanu, I have chosen death, I shall die for Biafra and let my death give my generation a better life, let my death be a guarantee for a better future, let my death be your smile and let my death end your marginalization, subjugation,
slavery and tears. I am Nnamdi Kanu the lion
that chose death over the abuse of his people. I instead die than renounce Biafra, give me Biafra or kill me is where I stand.
I have been
arrested for nothing, I am a prisoner of conscience, they are here to break me, to make me renounce Biafra but they don’t know me, they don’t know Biafra is my religion and they don’t know renouncing Biafra is a death sentence, is like committing suicide. In their widest dream shall I commit suicide and I assure them that days of reckoning will come, for Chiukwuokikeabiama shall avenge the death of His children.
I have taken an
oath with the name of God that I shall never betray or give up
Biafra because I knew this day will come. I am physically and psychologically prepared for this period. I took the oath and staked my family, my generations
and everything I am, and so giving up Biafra
in any condition is impossible, even at gun point, I will only accept my inevitable death than renounce Biafra. I
have been arrested before but this time is
more severe, the harder the price is the
closer the Kingdom of God, even Yahoshua prayed that only if this cup will pass over him.
They came with
every tactics they know to deceive me into signing off Biafra, they promised me freedom, heaven and earth, but I told devil to get behind me for the Kingdom of God worth nothing man can offer. I am more intelligent than them and I will defeat them to a point nothing will be left to fight for, Biafra will be and it has come to stay.
I appeared in the court on 19thFeb 2016, in the
face of this persecution to coerce me into
giving up Biafra, I wore a clean white cloth and tagged Biafran flag under the pocket of my white lace. I tagged the flag there because that is where life is and this is to tell you that Biafra is why I breathe. I will never ever disappoint you and will die for Biafra to come. The Biafran flag badge
tagged on my white lace is to remind the world that I am resolute and shall never in this life accept their gold to sale Biafra.
The world has no
option except giving me Biafra and everything
in Nigeria shall be at risk if anything
happens to me. Biafrans love me and together
we have chosen death or give us Biafra, should anything happen to me then my command
remains. Meanwhile, I have followed you
great Biafrans and I must confess that I am satisfied, you have made me proud and my message to you all is to Stay strong, remain resolute and focused. We must not give up, we should continue pushing strong, we should continue our peaceful protest because it is frustrating Nigerian government
and we must keep spreading the message of Biafra
and at the end we shall win.
BUHARI CRIES TO EX-NIGER DELTA MILLITANTS FOR
HELP: I CAN'T BEAT IPOB...HELP ME!
When
Buhari threatened and boasted to crush Radio Biafra London out of the Nigeria
airwaves and render it silent everybody took him seriously. But when he
couldn't achieve his threat, he sought and bought over Satelink communication
of Israel, the company carrying Radio Biafra signals (with Biafra oil money)
Consequent
to that, the satellite got missing in the orbit. Did he crush Radio Biafra London?
You know the answer.
Buhari
thought that by arresting Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra, that he
will succeed in silencing IPOB but he failed. Nnamdi Kanu is in detention and
Biafra Television London went on air and is broadcasting on satellite and on
Cable TV as well as on the internet. Now the haggard looking old pedophile has
issued another threat that instead of Biafra to come "he Buhari" will
die. And we know that to be true because Biafra will come and Buhari will die.
He has
never carried out any threat in his life without seeking outside help. The
little momentary success the Nigerian military had over boko haram was with the
help of Niger and Cameroonian forces. Now who is Buhari going to use to
actualise his threat of stopping Biafra? You won't believe this!
Information
reaching Biafra writers from a very reliable source, says that Buhari, under
the auspices of the Nigeria DSS summoned a secret meeting of EX-NIGER DELTA
MILITANTS
LEADERS yesterday in Abuja. In attendance were all the former millitants except
Asari Dokubor and Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo, who fought for resource
control until they were granted amnesty by the Nigerian government.
In the
meeting, Buhari offered them huge sums of money (money from Biafra oil) to sabotage
the Biafra restoration effort by fighting against those Biafrans of the Niger
Delta extraction and the millitants known as "THE AVENGERS" from
supporting the Biafra restoration project or calling for the release of Nnamdi
Kanu.

Military Officers
This is
another strategy devised by Buhari to create disunity among Biafrans,
especially those from the Niger Delta region as they choose to call them.
Buhari has seen that his effort is not yielding fruit and as such had to crawl
on his knees seeking help from our own people to destroy themselves.
Our
cousins from the Niger-Delta as they are called should not fall prey to
Buhari's machinations as it will only amount to a case of 'Use and dump'. This
present agitation to restore Biafra is unlike any. The whole of Biafra is
behind the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu and unlike 1967-70, we will no longer be
divided by the Arewa in conjunction with their cowardly yoruba counterpart. It
is very obvious that the only reason they want to create division within the
IPOB family and keep us bondage in perpetuity, is because of our oil and gas
that is their only means of survival.
It is one
thing to accept Buhari's bribe and it is another thing to sabotage the
restoration of your father land. This is a case of "stealing from
someone's father and using same loot to hire his son to assassinate his
father". A good child will accept the bribe because it's his father's
money, but will rather kill the hirer. So the EX-NIGER DELTA MILITANTS leaders
should realize that for a Hausa-Fulani to use Biafra sons to obstruct the
restoration of their father land will amount to one killing his father and
selling himself into slavery. TAKE THE MONEY (it's your father's money) BUT
WORK FOR THE RESTORATION OF YOUR FATHER LAND.
A wise
son can never take a bribe to destroy his father's family and be a slave
forever. Should the Niger Delta militants leaders accept to work for the
pedophile Buhari, they would have been the proverbial fool who allowed same
stick that plucked his left eye to pluck his remaining right eye and render him
permanently blind. And a true Biafran won't let that happen and I believe the
militants leaders are wiser than Buhari. The ex-Niger Delta militants leaders
should reflect back to what happened to their brothers who worked for
Hausa-Fulani Nigeria against their father's land and act wisely.
This is
therefore a notice to the international community to know how Buhari is
twisting the course of Justice in Nigeria. Buhari advocated for the sovereignty
of the people of Palestine and opted to be the first to support the self
determination efforts of people of Western Sahara. But in the case of the right
of Biafrans to self determination, Buhari sees it as abomination. A leader has
never branded himself a hypocrite so much so as Mohammadu Buhari.
We are
the Indigenous People of Biafra. The right of the indigenous people to self
determination is a lawful right supported by both local and international laws,
and IPOB seeks the right to self determination of Biafrans within the ambit of
the law. So nothing, nobody, not even General Muhammadu Hitler Buhari can stop
it.
Sanusi
Lamido's response to Sir Olaniwun Ajayi's book titled "Nigeria , Africa 's
failed asset?"
"Let me start by saying that I am Fulani (laughter). My grandfather was an
Emir and
therefore I represent all that has been talked about this afternoon. Sir Ajayi
has written a book. And like all Nigerians of his generation, he has written in
the language of his generation.
"My grandfather was a Northerner, I am a Nigerian. The problem with this
country is that in 2009, we speak in the language of 1953. Sir Olaniwun can be
forgiven for the way he spoke, but I cannot forgive people of my generation
speaking in that language.
"Let us go into this issue because there are so many myths that are being
bandied around. Before colonialism, there was nothing like Northern Nigeria,
Before the Sokoto Jihad, there was nothing like the Sokoto caliphate. The man
from Kano regard himself as bakane. The man from Zaria was bazazzage. The man
from
Katsina was bakatsine. The kingdoms were at war with each other. They were
Hausas, they were Muslims, they were killing each other.
"The Yoruba were Ijebu, Owo, Ijesha, Akoko, Egba. When did they become
one? When did the North become one? You have the Sokoto Caliphate that brought
every person from Adamawa to Sokoto and said it is one kingdom. They now said
it was a Muslim North.
"The Colonialists came, put that together and said it is now called the
Northern Nigeria. Do you know what happened? Our grand fathers were able to
transform to being Northerners. We have not been able to transform to being
Nigerians. The fault is ours. Tell me, how many governors has South West
produced after Awolowo that are role models of leadership? How many governors
has the East produced like Nnamdi Azikiwe that can be role models of
leadership? How Many governors in
the Niger Delta are role models of leadership? Tell me. There is no evidence
statistically that any part of this country has produced good leaders. You talk
about Babangida and the economy. Who were the people in charge of the economy
during Babangida era? Olu Falae, Kalu Idika Kalu. What state are they from in
the North?
"We started the banking reform; the first thing I heard was that in Urobo
land, that there will be a curse of the ancestors. I said they (ancestors)
would not answer. They said why? I said how many factories did Ibru build in
Urobo land? So, why will the ancestors of the Urobo people support her?
"We talk ethnicity when it pleases us. It is hypocrisy. You said elections
were rigged in 1959, Obasanjo and Maurice Iwu rigged election in 2007. Was it a
Southern thing? It was not.
"The problem is: everywhere in this country, there is one Hausa, Ibo,
Yoruba and Itshekiri man whose concern is how to get his hands on the pile and
how much he can steal. Whether it is in the military or in the civilian
government, they sit down, they eat together. In fact, the constitution says
there must be a minister from every state.
"So, anybody that is still preaching that the problem of Nigeria is Yoruba
or Hausa or Fulani, he does not love Nigeria . The problem with Nigeria is that
a group of people from each and every ethnic tribe is very selfish. The poverty
that is found in Maiduguri is even worse than any poverty that you find in any
part of the South.
The British came for 60 years and Sir Ajayi talked about few numbers of
graduates in the North (two at independence) . What he did not say was that
there was a documented policy of the British when they came that the Northerner
should not be educated. It was documented. It was British colonial policy. I have
the document. I have published articles on it. That if you educate the
Northerner you will produce
progressive Muslim intellectuals of the type we have in Egypt and India. So, do
not educate them. It was documented. And you say they love us (North)."I
have spent the better part of my life to fight and Dr. (Reuben) Abati knows me.
Yes, my
grandfather was an Emir. Why was I in the pro-democracy movement fighting for
June 12? Is (Moshood) Abiola from Kano ? Why am I a founding director of the
Kudirat Initiative for Nigerian Development (KIND)?
"There are good Yoruba people, good Igbo people, good Fulani people, good
Nigerians and there are bad people everywhere. That is the truth. "Stop
talking about dividing Nigeria because we are not the most populous country in
the world. We have all the resources that make it easy to make one united great
Nigeria . It is better if we are united than to divide it.
"Every time you talk about division, when you restructure, do you know
what will happen? In Delta Area, the people in Warri will say Agbor, you don't
have oil. When was the Niger Delta constructed as a political entity? Ten years
ago, the Itshekiris were fighting the Urobos. Isn't that what was happening?
Now they have become Niger Delta because they have found oil. After, it will
be, if you do not have oil in your village then you cannot share our resources.
"There is no country in the world where resources are found in everybody's
hamlet. But people have leaders and they said if you have this geography and if
we are one state, then we have a responsibility for making sure that the people
who belong to this country have a good nature.
"So, why don't you talk about; we don't have infrastructure, we don't have
education, we don't have health. We are still talking about Fulani. Is it the
Fulani cattle rearer or is anybody saying there is no poverty among the
Fulani?"
The
Conversation of Hausa
Man with A Christian, Beware All The Biafrans
Mostly Our Senators, Reps / Governors
This
is what Hausa man said about Biafra Igbos...... "Igbos are like rats, they
need to be hunted down and killed otherwise there will be a repeat of 1966 and
the murder of Saduana of Sokoto, therefore we must kill them " That was
the classified information reviewed by a Nigerian soldier Joe who happens to be
of an Hausa origin and a Christian. He said in his discussion with his Fulani
counterpart, these are the excerpts from the discussion among other things that
was happening in Nigeria. Buhari, economy, security and the killing of Igbo
people. This was where he dropped the bomb shell. ".....they (Igbos) killed our leaders thinking we will
forget so easily. Look, after the 1966 coup, we have been searching for the
weaknesses of Igbo people. We know their strength. Now we have the strategies
in place to avenge fully our murdered leaders. We haven't started killing them
in their villages. As I told you earlier, they are like rats, we must hunt them
out from their holes. They are going every part of the country spreading their
disease. They kill our leaders to get at us, but we use their leaders to carry
out our plan.
For
our Saduana they killed, God willing, ten million Igbos must be killed. We have
not started." .When the soldier interrupted and said that it was not
proper to kill children because of what was not proved:, he became infuriated
" there is no go Igbo person, unless a dead
one. Igbo people are the problem in this country.
They
are corrupt, greedy, ambitious, give them one mile to run, they will run twelve
miles.....yes I know they are hardworking, strong and intelligent, but they
lack wisdom and foresight. They don't like themselves and have no sincere
leaders. They play into our hands. The only true Igbo leader was Ajukwu.....Do
you know how to kill a rat? Give it a poisoned fish. Laughs. Then Joe interrupted again mentioning Nnamdi
Kanu. he dismissed it with a wave of hand, that Kanu doesn't matter. He is just
a small boy and rabble rousing. "We keep him where we want him to be, any
time we are tired of him, we get rid of him .......and nothing will
happen." We have their leaders at our disposal to do our bidding. When everything
is in place, we establish our southern caliphate and will be controlled from
the north. We know there are great potentials there, but they have to work for
us...... Joe chimmed in again: Ibrahim do you remember I am a Christian"
He retorted" You are, because you believe you are. Everybody is a Moslem
in this country. This country is our inheritance from the British. And we will
never allow kaffirs to run and ruin it for us. We will deal ruthlessly with any
group that makes us uncomfortable. If some people are not happy with it, they
can ask the British to create another country for them......."

Opinion: Let me explain why Biafra is very important
May 13, 2016
A certain part of Igboland
has a proverb that says “The person that does not know where the rain began to
beat him, the rain beat him well”. This simple proverb captures the fact that
somebody who does not know the source of his or her problems will never be able
to solve the problem
Over the past one year or
so, the agitation by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has gone from beer
parlour entertainment tale, to one of the most pressing challenges facing the
present administration (that is of course if the present administration takes
it seriously).
Yet I was surprised a few
months ago, when one of the leading lights of the Nigerian social media
world, and a learned young man to boot stated that he has searched as hard as he
could, but could not find any justification for the initial secession of Biafra
in 1967. It occurred to me immediately that we had either been lying to our
children from certain parts of the country, or we simply have refused to teach
History. I have a nagging feeling that the former is more of it.
It is therefore for the
sake of that young man, and millions of others like him that I feel the need to
do this work.
On January 15, 1966,
Nigeria was set on an irrecoverable path. It was the day that the famed “Five
Majors” decided to seize power from the civilian government. While many
initially lauded the Majors as revolutionaries who had come to redeem the
country from the wanton corruption, nepotism, and gross violence that had taken
over the nation under the watchful eyes of the civilian administration, this
view was soon to change, as more facts about the coup became available.
First of all, majority of
the ring leaders were born of Igbo parents(even though the ring leader, Major
Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu was more Hausa in reality, and only Igbo by name and
origin),and majority of those who lost their lives during the coup were mainly
leaders from other ethnic groups, other than Igbo.
The lives lost included
those of the Sarduana of Sokoto, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello, Prime Minister Tafawa
Balewa, Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh(Finance Minister), Lt. Col Shuwa Pam, Brig.
Zakariya Maimalari , Chief Akintola, etc.
From several of the
accounts available to me, it seems that only an Igbo office was killed.
Somehow, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe had managed to leave the country (for medical
check-up) prior to the coup, while Chief Michael Okpara, then Premier of the
Eastern Region remained alive. There have been several accounts especially
about why Chief Okpara survived. Almost all the accounts point to the fact that
his survival was due to Aguiyi Ironsi’s brave intervention to quell the coup.
Yet, one cannot deny the fact that those killed were mostly non-Igbos.
By May of 1966, the North
was rearing at its leash, to tear Ironsi (then Military Head of State) and his
people apart. But that was not the plan the leaders had in mind. The plan was
being well orchestrated. Soon after, the “vengeance mission” began. By the end
of 1966, about 200 Eastern soldiers (mostly Igbos) had been killed, including
General Aguiyi Ironsi. There have been historical records of how the then
Captain T. Y Danjuma led the team that murdered Ironsi and Fajuyi in Abeokuta.
Other stories tell of the
military drills called for in the wee hours of the morning, and how Igbo
soldiers were selected and summarily executed. If the plan was to avenge the
deaths of Alhajis Ahmadu Bello and Tafawa Belewa, killing Ironsi and taking
over power would have been enough. But the vengeance took the form of an ethnic
cleansing when over 190 Eastern soldiers were singled out and killed. If the
justification for the second coup was because the first one was an “Igbo coup”,
then “justification” went into over-drive when over 190 Eastern soldiers were
killed.
Soldiers of course knew
from the day they signed up that they may die any day. The same could not be
said of civilians. In a move totally with the support of government institution
especially the military and police, about 30,000 Easterners (especially Igbos)
were murdered in all parts of Nigeria except the East. The key word being
chanted by the rioting Northerners then was “Araba”, a word which Alexander
Madiebo in his book The Nigerian Revolution and The Biafran War explained,
meant “secession”. It was obvious then that the North wanted to do away with
Nigeria.
On their part, the Igbos
knew that they could not be protected by the Federal Government, so they sought
for ways to cross over to the East, where they believe they will be safe. There
are several stories of many Igbos who arrived incomplete. Stories of many who lost
their loved ones in the senseless massacre. Stories of how governmental
institutions even stood by and watched the massacres.
By the third quarter of
1966, the Igbos were fully convinced that their lives were no longer safe in
any part of Nigeria. So they returned in droves to the East, creating massive
refugee problems. But what mattered the most was their safety. As the Igbos
say; “onye nwere ndu nwere olile anya”(he who has life has hope). It was
however obvious that their safety could no longer be guaranteed in other parts
of the country. No, not after watching the Yorubas taunt them with “make una
go, make garri (s)heap for Lagos”, and the Hausas slaughter them like malus.
For the young man or woman
who still could not find the reason for the secession, here then is your
answer; the secession was a consequence of the belief that the lives of the
Igbos and other Easterners could no longer be safe in the larger Nigerian
context. Gowon’s government had looked on, doing nothing about it, while they
were being slaughtered. Biafra was just a stand to say “Let me be free and
alive in my home”.
But it did not end there. A
complete volte-face was done once Biafrans decided to stay on their own, away
from where they were not wanted. The government then decided to march into
their lands, and kill as many of them as they can!
Very instructive here is
the view of the investigator for The International Committee in the
Investigation of Crimes of Genocide Dr. Mensah of Ghana;
“Finally I am of the
opinion that in many of the cases cited to me hatred of the Biafrans (mainly
Igbos) and as wish to exterminate them was a foremost motivational factor”(his
emphasis. See Chinua Achebe’s There Was a country: A Personal History of
Biafra, pg., 230)
There are of course several
other opinions like the one above, but Mensah’s view would suffice here.
The war raged on, with the
full backing of the British, and about three million Easterners (mostly Igbos)
were killed, most of them children. It is not in my place to state the many war
crimes (most of which include the bombing of civilians and blockade of relief
materials) carried out by the Federal Government of Nigeria with their foreign
supporters that made this possible–there are books replete with them. What is
evident is that from shouting “Araba”, a volte-face was done and a systematic
extermination was put in place.
It is necessary to state
that I have not for once stated that the Igbos are entirely free of blames in
all of these. What I am doing here is to explain why Biafra matters, and
possibly get us to do what we have not done for years– talk about it. In several
posts, I have categorically stated that a one indivisible Nigeria is what I
want (in fact what I will fight for), but to stem the uprising, so many issues
would have to be addressed.
Now, the average Northerner
or even Westerner can point at the pogroms and the murder of about 200 Eastern
soldiers and get his or her catharsis. What does the Easterner have?
The young Igbo man, would
have listened to, or read stories of his ancestors gruesomely massacred under
government supervision (unlike the “victors” who chose to remain silent, these
stories are still passed down from generation to generation in the East). He
has sought for answers as to why this happened, and nothing was done, and
always comes up with nothing. Available historical recounts of the period only
give him reasons to be incensed and desirous of an answer.
He is also aware that since
the war, no Igbo man has held the highest office in the country, while
Northerners and Westerners have been interchangingly holding the position. Then
he realises that when the South-South violently agitated for recognition, they
were compensated with the Vice- Presidency, which ultimately led to Jonathan’s
tenure as president. But for the Igbos, still nothing, as plans were made to
transfer power back to the North. So he suddenly realises that his people are
still the “vanquished”, and not the “victor”, and must pay the price, still.
But the Igbo problem does
not end there. Shortly after President Goodluck Jonathan was voted out of
office, a large swathe of Yorubas took to the Social Media, calling for the
extermination of the Igbos for voting massively for Jonathan. According to
those young people, the Igbos had done what they were designed to do– sell out
and be tribalistic (they forgot that a lot of Igbos supported and voted for
Buhari. My cousin has been President Buhari’s ardent supporter since 2003).
The fact also, is that the
Yorubas and Hausas massively voted for President Buhari and his Yoruba deputy.
What the Hausas and Yorubas did was not “selling out” or being “tribalistic”,
it was called being patriotic, according to them. It did not matter that they
had made their choice and followed their own people, and the Igbos, for lack of
where to hold to, “held to their knees”(Goodluck Jonathan). But it was the Igbos
that had done wrong, for simply refusing to conform to their status as
“servants” in Nigeria. The fact that a prominent Yoruba Oba had endorsed this
point of view, is even all the more telling.
For the Igbos, it has
always been about fighting to get their voices heard, amidst the betrayals of
even their own brethren. For instance, the Ogoni people have for years had
their own struggle. Woe betide anybody from the South-South or South-East who
fails to show his or her support. But during the IPOB demonstrations, I have
watched so many prominent Ogoni people call the struggle of the IPOB a “useless
struggle”. I dare not call the Ogoni struggle a useless one. In fact, I have
been a champion of the Ogoni clean-up.
What all these show is the
fact that the Igbos find themselves alone. They have suffered years and years
of abuse, denigration, and even exclusion. Somehow, they still persevere, channeling
their energies to commerce.
Today however, Nigeria
finds herself on the brink. There is a need to address the Igbo problem. There
is an even urgent need to provide catharsis to the millions of Igbo youths who
still search for answers. We cannot run away from the mistakes of the past, all
we need to do is to address them, and find a resolution.
However anybody else sees
it, the truth is, that the predicament of the Igbos demands urgent attention.
That is why Biafra matters. For now though, we derive temporary hope in the
Phyno-Olamide alliance, and hope we can build more of such alliances.
AN URHOBO MAN AND A YORUBA MAN
DISCUSSING
ABOUT NIGER DELTA/BIAFRA: Here is what the Urhobo
man wrote.
The Igbos and the Niger Deltans
are one indivisible people. These states creation was to divide us but it has
not worked.
Engineer Roland Ediri Idimi an
Urhobo man then started by asking the Yoruba man the following question -
"You know my Delta state
governor, where is he from?” I could feel how cold he became when he received
my response, that my State Governor is an Igbo man and he is called Arthur
Okowa Ifeanyi. Governor Okowa was born at Owa-Alero in Ika North-East Local
Government Area of Delta State.
The next he said was that we
would suffer under the Igbos. I had to bring him up to speed, that there would
not be any thing like that. The whole states in Biafra are blessed with mineral
resources and every state shall be responsible for its land and the resources
it contains.
Then he said, “the Igbos will
fight with us.” My response is, we and the Igbos are one people who are bounded
together by same ideology; culture and religious belief and these are the
criteria that form the basis for peaceful coexistence.
At this point; he realize that I
am not one of those the Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba can deceive with their divisive
strategy against my Igbo brothers.
At least; I asked him one
question which he could not answer me. I asked him the following:
(a). Why are the Yorubas and
Fulani/Hausa fighting really hard to ensure that they create divide between the
one people of the Southsouth and Southeast?
(b). Could it be that they love
the people of the Southsouth so much and wanted them to join Arewa or Oodua?
(c). Could it be because they are
very interested in their economic; political and sociological development and
want to ensure that they are developed when they join Oodua or Arewa?
(d). Is it the Igbos who shared
the Niger Delta which include Abia and Imo into oil blocks among themselves?
(e). Is it the Igbos who fight
against true Federalism and Resource Control which we have been clamouring for
over the years?
(f). Is it the Igbos that shut
down all the ports in the SouthSouth (Port Harcourt; Sapele; Koko; Calaber;
Warri) for the port in Lagos just to kill the commerce in SouthSouth and
SouthEast?
(g). Is it the Igbos that fault
and kill the PIB proposed with 10% community share?
(i). Is it the Igbos that
concession Onne Port to Atiku Abubakar to continue the exploit of the people of
Rivers State?
Till now I am still expecting
answer from my friend…

BRITISH
BORN HAROLD SMITH CONFESSED & APOLOGISE FOR MANIPULATING PRE- INDEPENDENT CENSUS AND ELECTION TO FAVOUR NORTH.
The man
Harold Smith is not new in Nigerian history. He is one of the architects of colonial foundation that midwife Nigerian
independence in
1960. I met him in a meeting three weeks
ago where he opened up a bit about the lingering problem in Africa especially; Nigeria unbalanced
protracted social political
situations. We asked if he could make this known to the media.
His
response was “I am in my 80s
now; I have agreed but in the past ‘they’ did not want me to say anything, but now I don’t want to go to my grave
without telling the truth about the
atrocities perpetrated in Africa by the colonialists. Brothers and sisters; on Ben TV last
Thursday, Harold Smith was
on a program to reveal what went behind the scene before the independence. The Oxford University graduate had
this to say about his role
in Nigeria pre and after independence era. ‘Our agenda was to completely exploit
Africa.
Nigeria
was my duty post. When we assessed Nigeria, this was what we found in the southern region; strength, intelligence, determination
to succeed, well established history,
complex but focused life
style, great hope and aspirations… the East is good in business and technology, the west is good in administration and
commerce, law and medicine, but it
was a pity we planned our agenda to give power
“at all cost” to the northerner. They seemed to be submissive and
silly of a kind. Our mission was
accomplished by destroying the opposition at all fronts. The west led in the fight for the independence, and was
punished for asking for freedom.
They will
not rule Nigeria! Harold Smith
confessed that the Census results were announced before they were counted. Despite seeing vast land with no
human but cattle in the
north, we still gave the north 55 million instead of 32 Million. This was to be used to maintain their majority votes and
future power bid. He stated
that the West
DONALD TRUMP BLAST BUHARI PERSONALLY – YOU SAY
BIAFRA IS A JOKE, COMPARE YOUR CHANGE WITH PREVIOUS CORRUPTION Donald trump
who blasted Nigeria previously by asking the question ‘WHERE IS THE
CHANGE” got a negative response . well trust the US presidential candidate
for being blunt , came personally for Buhari. – No sensible president
continuously travels round the globe while his country is in terrible
hardship and economic mess.
It can only happen in Nigeria where all that matters to the President is
the full introduction of Islam, annihilation of his political opponents
and absolute extermination of the people of the old Eastern Nigeria. Buhari,
prior to his questionable victory at the polls as the President of Nigeria
made lots of promises which he has obviously failed to keep and in most cases
denied.
As a
matter of fact, change could either be ‘positive’ OR ‘negative’. To
the earlier misconception of Nigerians and current state of the economy as a result
of initiationnof impracticable economic policies, it wouldn’t be wrong
to assert that what president Muhammadu Buhari and his All Progressives
Congress promised Nigerians was a NEGATIVE CHANGE. If Nigeria is a
country made up of Democratic Nations just like the immediate former
president Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan rightly proved, sound and unbiased
mind can now fully see the deterioration and damage the Muhammadu Buhari’s
led administration has caused the Nation’s democracy.

BIAFRA:
RED ALERT!!!
HAUSA-FULANI
READY TO ATTACK
NKPOR
Information reaching the desk
of Biafra Writers from a Biafran in Nkpor, is that Nkpor is under siege. He
said, ”Hello, I came online having you and other Biafra writers in mind, to
inform you guys that Biafrans in Nkpor Anambra state are under siege by Fulani
herdsmen". They wrote us a letter saying that they are already onboard in
Mgbachu Community, Nkpor Anambra state.
The Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano is hereby put on notice of the
imminent attack of Biafrans in Nkpor, Anambra State. We hope that you will not
wait like your colleague, the governor of Enugu state only to shed crocodile
tears when the heads of your subjects are cut off. Mobilize your security
operative to Nkpor right now to forestall the massacre that is imminent.
It is obvious that these Hausa-Fulanis are no good tenants and neighbours in
Biafra land. Its now up to you, the governors in Biafra land to save the lives
of your citizens from these agents of death. You all now know that what Nnamdi
Kanu was saying was not a "hate speech" after all, but a statement of
fact.
This alert is a wake-up call for Biafrans in Nkpor to rise up and give these
demons a surprise package, and to all Biafrans all over the world to start
doing whatever you can to ensure that we are not wiped out from the surface of
the earth.
Biafrans in Nkpor are great people and we know they will make Biafra proud by
meeting these Fulani herdsmen headlong. Pass this information and remain vigilant
as we proceed in this war. It is Biafra or death.
WE HEREBY WARN AGAIN THAT ANY ATTACK BY THE HAUSA-FULANI IN ANY PART OF BIAFRA
LAND FROM NOW HENCEFORTH, WILL USHER IN "OPERATION FLUSH OUT ALL
HAUSA-FULANI" FROM BIAFRA LAND.

Cross River Have Suffered In The Hands Of
Cameroon
Cross River State have suffered
lots and lots of oppression from the Federal Government and Neighbouring
Cameroun.
We will not forget the Bakassi massacre by Cameroon and Nigeria Soldiers in the
peninsula, we not forget the killing of Bakassi activists exercising their
right to self determination, we will not forget the game Gowon and Obasanjo
played with the oil rich Peninsula that has led to the dispatch of the natives.
Today Cross River State is no longer benefiting from the equitable distribution
of oil wealth, despite our oil, we are rich in agriculture, we are blessed
beyond measures, we are the richest in culture and tourism, the whether
condition in Cross River State can not be compared with any other whether in
Nigeria, what is it that we don't have to warrant this long time slavery? We
are tired of this situation, the only way is to wave them goodbye!
We want to go our separate ways to make them understand how important we Cross
Riverians are.
We can only recover all what we have lost in a new nation, we are located in
the ancient African region called the Bight of Biafra which lies here in
Calabar.
We are tired of their divide and rule strategies to destabilize us, first it
was the Bight of Biafra, then merged with the Bight of Benin to form Southern
protectorate of Nigeria, later we became Eastern Nigeria, before you know what
happened we beecame South East, later it was Old Cross River State, before you
know it Akwa Ibom and Cross River State emerged, later they said we are South
South, and included in the list of Niger Delta States, a name they coined for
their selfish desires, who knows we may be giving totally to Cameroun, we are
not fools any longer.
Stand up
for your right all Cross Riverians, our Hero General Philip Uko Effiong stated
that if we had not fought gallantly for the nation Biafra we would have been
buried by Northerners, the only language the north understands is Biafra.

Biafra: If President Buhari Remains General Buhari
Sixtus Chibueze
Ezennaya
Shortly after the
declaration of General Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the March 28th 2015 Presidential election in Nigeria, it was
carried in the news that the Daura General has dumped the clad of a Military
General and prefers to be addressed as President Muhammadu Buhari. Could the
decision be a passing fad or will Buhari maintain the Presidential clad in its
entirety was the question on people’s lips.
President Buhari’s
four cardinal purposes of becoming President include to be addressed as
President like his military colleagues who now enjoy the Nigeria/Biafra Civil
War loots and booties. Secondly, it is to crush Biafra agitation, to Islamize
Nigeria and to acquire wealth for his final retirement. Therefore the statement
credited to him on the issue of Biafra actualization as reported in the Sun
Newspaper of Tuesday 10th May
2016“That for Nigeria to divide now, it is better for all of us to jump into
the sea and get drowned”, is not unexpected. No matter how violent the wind
will be, it will never force the river to flow backward.
The President’s
statement coupled with his stand on Nnamdi Kanu’s Court bail that he would jump
bail if released shows what he thinks about Biafra and Biafrans. If you want to
know what a leopard is thinking, see what its tail is doing. This does not
represent maturity of a democratic President which he made people believe. The
sign of intelligent people is their ability to control emotions by the
application of reason according to Marya Mannes. However, the hood does not
make the monk (Cuculus non-fecit monacus). And if wishes were
horses, even beggars would ride them.
How can a President
speak like that, threatening war if his wishes are not carried out? As
democracy is the expression of the people’s wish through the ballot box, the
military mentality of fighting out things in him ought to be subdued by the
democratic principles, civility and modernity. President Buhari should know
that it is humility that turned men into angels while pride turned angels into
Devils and Satans. President Muhammadu Buhari is trying to play God which is
very impossible for him to be. Only God can make that type of statement and it
comes to be. Some presidents who have made such statements have always eaten a
humble pie.
The actualization of
Biafra is beyond the ability of Nigerian President to stop it. That Biafra
fought a civil war with Nigeria cannot foreclose the agitation for Biafra
independence. According to Marilyn Vos Savan, “Being defeated is often only a
temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent”. Napoleon Hill in
his book, “Think and Grow Rich” said,“I believe in the power of desire backed
by faith, because I have seen this power lift men from lowly beginnings to
places of power and wealth. I have seen it serve as the medium by which men
staged a come-back after having been defeated in a hundred different ways”.
Britain colonized America and they fought a war before America got
independence. By the way, have the countries that recognized Biafra withdrawn
their recognitions? Instead, more countries are recognizing Biafra including
the African Union.
America since after
Vietnamese war which she lost, has fought sixteen (16) wars. Since 2000,
America has fought six wars. Sudan after all, fought a 23-year war with South
Sudan yet President Omar Hassan Al Bashir deemed it necessary to allow for a
referendum for South Sudan independence that produced 99.5% yes-votes. Is it
not ironical that President Buhari advocated for the independence of Palestine
and Western Sahara that have engaged in wars for years with Isreal and Morocco
respectively going by his argument?
Biafra in ancient
history and map of Africa has been an ancient entity and was only temporarily
dissolved by Lord Fredrick Luggard’s amalgamation of 1914. Worse still the
cancerous name Nigeria was given to the amalgamated entity by Lord Luggard’s
girl-friend, Florence Shaw. What an ungodly imposition from an immoral and
amorous affair.
Ghana was formerly
Gold Coast. However J.B. Danquah renamed the country, Ghana and since then
Ghana has been on the right track of fortunes. Today Ghana not only produces
gold but also crude oil. President Leopold Senghor who was born in 1906 was a
poet who led his country, Senegal, to independence. Even though a Christian, he
led a country of over 95% Muslims. And the country’s national anthem and the
lyrics were his handiwork. The late Capt Thomas Sankara renamed Upper Volta,
Burkina Faso which means the land of the incorruptible. Even it was an American
Architect James Hoban who designed the White
House. The foundation of the irredeemable Nigeria is faulty and so the spirits
of the land are not happy hence the unending, recurring and intractable
fundamental problems of the country.
Wedlock is a padlock.
Unless it is opened by the couples, it remains sealed till death do them part.
If you marry the right person, you are complete but when you marry the wrong
one, you are finished. Like a cloth which marriage is, if your own starts to
tear and you keep quiet, it bursts. That is why inconvenient marriages are
divorced and dissolved. The inconvenient marriage of Biafra and Nigera can be
dissolved by the United Nations Organization as each is a wrong partner to the
other.
What is the North
avoiding in staying alone by forcing Biafra willy-nilly to remain in Nigeria?
If Biafra is indispensable to the existence and subsistence of Nigeria, why
must Nigeria play hide and seek game to express it? Rather force, pretence,
intimidation, suppression arrest, detention, shooting, killing, maiming etc are
the body language of Nigerian Government. But then, what can be forcefully
snatched away from a child is what it holds on its hand and not what it bears
in mind. June 24, 2016 is the day for referendum on whether Britain will remain
in European Union. Nigeria, please referendum for the Biafrans, is the only
solution not war. What a wise man does at the beginning, a fool does at last.

Biafra Didn't
Surrender; Show The World The Surrender Documents If We Did, Achuzia Challenges
FG, Others
“ We didn’t surrender. If there was a surrender, there must be a
surrender terms of agreement. There must be a paper to that effect. Let them
publish the terms of surrender, so that the country will know.”
By Chidi Obineche
Former Biafra warlord, Col Joe Achuzia (Air raid) reminisces on
the Nigeria–Biafra war, concluding that the short-lived Biafra republic was
neither defeated, nor surrendered. The famous author of Requiem Biafra and
General Secretary of IPOB (Indigenous People of Biafra) also speaks on the
recent Enugu killings by Fulani herdsmen, declaring that nobody has the
monopoly of aggression. He added that those who believe that Nigeria is
indivisible are living in a fool’s paradise. Sunday Sun met him at his residence
in Asaba.
Do you believe Nigeria has got it right, after 17 years of democracy?
My own opinion is that we have never got the situation right since
after the first coup in 1966. Democracy means a political arrangement by the
people, for the people. In other words there must be a concord or disagreement
between the led and the leaders. In this instance, since the 1966 coup took
place and the military came on board, the military introduced a system of
government where aspects of development are arrested and the majority of those
being led are at the bottom. Within that system, it is the person at the top
that gives the order. What he wants, with his cronies around him is what takes
place. But in a democracy, it is supposed to be the wishes of the people, and
for democracy to work, the top hierarchy must be weak enough to derive its
strength from the lower bottom, where the masses are. It is the wishes of the
masses that make for democracy, not the autocracy of the person on top.
Do you attribute the prevailing ethno-religious tension and
clashes as manifestations of the dictatorship you are talking about and where
do you think it will lead to?
The ethnic clashes have always been about the pogrom. It was
ethnic clashes that led us into a civil war, or what you can call a genocidal
war. It was a one-sided genocidal war, that we on our side were able to defend
ourselves. I will always say thanks to the Almighty who gave us the knowhow and
the ingenuity to be able to ward off a war that would have decimated and wiped
off the Igbo nation from the map of the world. That notwithstanding, ethnic
clashes have two factors that one should look into.
First, nobody whose land or ethnic environment looks good and
serves the people well, will dare to move out of their own surrounding and go
to lay down their lives in another person’s territory in an attempt to possess
that place. It is only when a group finds wherever they are unfavourable and
uninhabitable that the thought of venturing or adventuring into other people’s
territory becomes the vogue. At the moment, ethnic clashes in Nigeria, have
what we call environmental problem, which even the government hasn’t been able
to look into. They continue thinking it is a political arrangement that can be
solved politically. No. I don’t believe that.
The Fulani herdsmen/farmers clashes in the south, which I believe
is what you are alluding to has consumed many lives. How do you think it can be
resolved?
The issue of Fulani herdsmen could be solved, but not the way our
present government is treating it. The way our present government is pursuing
it, taking into consideration all the hate accusations and hate propaganda that
took place during the last election, and within the last 12 years to be
precise, is wrong. When Jonathan was in power; all that was coming out from the
north was that we will make the government ungovernable; we will make the
country ungovernable. Somehow, political pundits will say they were able to
make the country ungovernable. Now the situation is that the same people who
were saying that they will make the country ungovernable are now the people in
government. Their coming into government was predicated on the adventures of
Boko Haram, which, they said, they will put a stop to. Instead of Boko Haram,
we are now hearing about the Fulani herdsmen.
These herdsmen are the same people who attacked people from the
middle belt since the past seven years or more, and shifted them from the west
bank of Benue state into the eastern part, and it has taken almost three years
for the same people (Fulani herdsmen) to cross River Benue to the eastern side
and killed these ethnic people that live there; and are now pursuing them into
Plateau State. And while at Plateau State, they are now pursuing them as if the
instructions given to them are pursue and occupy. You don’t burn houses and
kill people so that cows can graze. We are shocked that the herdsmen that we
used to know are involved in these kind of killings. I ask myself, is it Boko
Haram metamorphosing into a specie called herdsmen by virtue of the fact that
they are all armed?
For them to be armed, somebody must be arming them, and I don’t
believe that any sensible Fulani person will go out of their way to arm the
herdsmen who they expect will carry their herds down southwards , so that they
will make money out of it. By using sophisticated weapons and arms against the
people who they expect to buy the cows, means that they are not really
interested in taking their flock down south for economic purposes. It is an
adventure into land occupation, and if it is that, what happened recently in
Enugu is a clear signal to us. It is a declaration of war, and we have taken
note. We will not tolerate such a situation happening again. Any more move of
such nature will meet with force. Our neighbours in the middle belt have been
fighting them, and they have now gone beyond them to our doorsteps. As far as
I am concerned, to be cautious doesn’t mean that you are afraid. Caution is a
state of stop and think, and prepare so that you are not taken by surprise.
How do you see what happened as a declaration of war?
If you listened to the statement of the governor of Enugu State,
and that of the security officials, they had up to four, five days notice. How
did that warning reach them? And what action did they take? The governor said
he called a security meeting, which is the proper thing to do. But instead of
action from the security officials, they were telling him to reach the
president. But unfortunately, the response that should have come from the
president was not forthcoming, and as a result the officers refused to act
claiming that they are federal officers. And so the threat took place as
scheduled, and those that came from Nasarawa state were fully armed. Who are
those that we know that are fully armed in Nigeria? They are Boko Haram. In
other words, are they trying to tell us that Boko Haram has headquarters in
Nasarawa State. If that is so, Boko Haram is already at our doorsteps
masquerading as Fulani herdsmen.
Now you have got the notice for declaration of war, what is to be
done?
When you get a notice of declaration of war, you put the mechanism
of diplomacy in place. That way, discussions on the ways and means of averting
any clashes that will take human lives. But at the same time, you that got the
warning will reply by telling the other side that you have received the notice,
and that you are sending words back that any more move of this nature, you will
not wait for interpretation. You will react automatically.
Have you put the mechanisms you just enumerated in place?
Of course! Do you expect us to sit back and wait for other
communities to be attacked? Of course not! I said earlier that caution is not
fear. We were cautious by not reacting immediately, because if we do that
things will go bad. The period or the need for diplomacy would have eluded us.
The government will now listen to what we are saying, because the threats from
these herdsmen have been with us for a long time. We have been tolerating it
because we felt it is because of lack of education on how to handle animal
husbandry. They are used to nomadic ways of life of moving from place to place,
but what has happened in the last few years is not nomadic way of life. It
seems to be a deliberate external action. The only way of getting weapons is
through external sources. To say we don’t know where the weapons are coming
from is a lie. Boko Haram doesn’t get their weapons from the ports in Port
Harcourt or Lagos.
Is it just Boko Haram you are suspecting; or you feel there is
state involvement?
Boko Haram has disrupted the structure in parts of the north by
claiming that they are a religious organization on a jihad. It is for this
reason that sometimes we tend to associate what Boko Haram is doing with
islamization of the country. But most of our friends who are Muslims say Boko
Haram are not Muslims. Boko Haram have declared that they are here to gain
territories. They have had time to establish themselves in some states in the
north. It is possible that they have changed their tactics by fusing with these
Fulani herdsmen, find minor jobs, and interact with the local people while
waiting for orders. That’s why I say that a message of war declaration has
been sent to us and we have taken note. We will now start searching to make
sure that any remaining camp of Fulanis within our territory does not contain
arms dump, ammunition dump and terrorists.
Do you believe that the herdsmen attack has given fillip to the
struggle for Biafra?
The struggle for Biafra has been going on since the day the war
stopped. The Federal Government failed to do what the three “ R’s” suggested .
We sent a lot of our children abroad during the war, for fear of extermination.
These children went out wearing labels on their necks indicating their names
and birthplaces and country; for example Okafor, native of Biafra. Not Nigeria.
We packaged them to different countries. They are now adults. Coming home,
they find that they need to be engaged with work or business. They are now
asked to state their state of origin, local government, etc. If he says he was
born in Ohafia, they tell him to go and get a letter signed by his traditional
ruler, and local government chairman. If he fails they say where were you all these
years? He becomes an alien in his own country. That’s why we the elders insist
that we need interpretation of the law so that these children will be treated
as Biafrans in Nigeria. To get it clear, we had to take the Federal Government
to court.
What hope do you have that the court can help in this sensitive
issue because there is no precedence?
Precedence are created by people. If we didn’t go to court and
such a situation occurs again, the people that will seek interpretation will
come across the same thing you are asking me that there is no precedence. If we
lose, we will seek redress in a higher court.
In this quest for self determination, are you consulting other
ethnic groups?
The former president set up a committee to look into ways and
means of dousing this agitation for self determination across the country.
Recommendations were made, but steps were not made to actualize the decisions
taken. Obasanjo also set up a similar committee, but they accused him of nursing
a third term agenda. Jonathan was accused of trying to go beyond two terms in
office for setting up the committee and efforts were made to scuttle whatever
was intended from that conference. The new government ought to take up the
resolutions of that conference.
You were involved in the last struggle which was violent. If
diplomacy fails, and you are asked to fight, will you fight?
( Laughs) It is not only one person that has the monopoly of
aggression. If aggression is imposed on my people, of course, I will react
accordingly.
Is Nigeria indivisible as some people are wont to say?
No country is indivisible. If a country like Britain with four
component parts –English, Welsh, Scottish and the Irish – can split after so
many years, then that argument can’t stand. The Irish pulled away and fought
for self determination for so many years. The Scottish have been using diplomacy
all along and we aware that a few years ago they were almost on the verge of
going. The Welsh are just waiting to go, if Scotland goes, they will go.Who
packaged Nigeria? Was it done by a Nigerian? This is a legacy of colonialism,
and because of that it is a cloak that can be thrown off anytime. When Ghandi
was fighting for the independence of India, he chose passive resistance, like
what we in IPOB have chosen. After independence India became divided. Pakistan
went its own way. Bangladesh went its own way, and so on. That of Nigeria, it
is only a fool- hardy person with a colonial mentality, and who wishes to
replace the colonial master that will be working under the mantle of an
indivisible Nigeria.
But northern elders recently urged the president to crush any
resuscitation of Biafra like was done before. Do you have that defeatist
psychology?
It is only a fool who did not understand the history of the
Nigeria- Biafra civil war, and how it ended that can say such a thing. The
fellow you are talking about how old is he? What role did he play during the
civil war? Those who partook in the civil war, none of them will go out of
their way to use such a language. Even the younger officers like Babangida, and
Buhari will not say, we won the war. Where was he at the time.?
So was Biafra defeated?
Of course, not. Biafra was never defeated. If anybody…
(Cuts in) But you surrendered.
We didn’t surrender. If there was a surrender, there must be a
surrender terms of agreement. There must be a paper to that effect. Let them
publish the terms of surrender, so that the country will know. It has been so
many years since the war ended. Any document that is being kept should now come
out of the archives, so that we should be able to know exactly what took place.
Are you still bitter about how the war ended?
If I was bitter, I wouldn’t have taken the steps that I took that
brought about the end of the war.
What were the steps?
The steps that I took were first being told by the members of our
exco to bring the war to an end. I could have said no, that I will not, because
to bring a war to an end requires certain amount of knowhow and techniques.
And if you don’t put it right, it will escalate the battle. But if you handle
it properly the way we handled it, everything dies down. The federal troops
picked up their guns, went back to their camps. Our troops picked up their
weapons and went home.
That was why there was no exchange of prisoners of war, no
exchange of weapons seized. Is that how a war of such magnitude should end? And
some people are saying that they won? If they won, there would be prisoners of
war.

Chief Chekwas
Okorie, the founder of United Progressives Party (UPP) has urged President
Muhammadu Buhari, to release the detained director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
According
to Okorie, should Buhari release Kanu and dialogue with the aggrieved members
of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB),
Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and other affiliate groups demanding for
Biafra secession, then the nation can return to its peaceful state.
Okorie,
the former Presidential candidate under the platform of
UPP in last year’s general election made the call against the backdrop of the increasing
spate of violence emanating from different geopolitical zones in country.
Speaking to Vanguard, Okorie said:
“The agitation for a separate state of Biafra by MASSOB, IPOB are
legitimate as long as they have remained non-violent and it has been recognized
by the United Nations. I am aware that the agitation has taken place in 180 countries
of the world. In other words it has been internationalized.
My advised to Buhari
therefore is to dialogue with the groups and address the agitation.
“The agitation did not spring up overnight. Between 1999 and now, the
sufferings of the people have heightened. That is why the agitation is
increasing in tempo.
For this agitation to
succeed, a lot of legal legwork has to be done which has already commenced.
“Also, Diplomatic legwork has to be done which is in place by IPOB observers in
the United Nations. But the missing link is the Political legwork which has not
begun. “The political legwork has not started.
These are factors
that must come together and not without the other to lead to a Biafra state.
For this to be achieved, a Referendum must be held in the area among ourselves.
So, it is not an overnight affair. Buhari should instruct the security agencies
not to apply force to these non-violent demonstrators.”

JUST
IN!!! Alleged Plots Of FG To Make Biafrans May 30 Celebration 'Unsuccessful'
Exposed (Very Shocking)
As
Biafrans prepare in earnest the widely publicised annual remembrance day of
their fallen heroes in conjunction with the remembrance of the Biafra genocide
which ranks as one of the most deadly genocide mankind has ever seen, the
pro-Biafra group has accused the Nigerian government of finalizing plans to
unleash mayhem on Biafrans come May 29th and 30th during this year's celebration.
The federal government has already
started recruiting and transferring the deadliest members of the Nigerian
military into Biafra land, who will be executing the plots to ensure that this
years celebration is not successful. Most of these deadly military personnels
are to disguise themselves in police uniforms and are to mount themselves at
various checkpoints across Biafra land, from where they will be abducting
Biafrans who will be making their way to Aba Abia State where the celebration
proper will be taking place, the group said.
Similarly,
another report from our intelligence department has it that Boko Haram
terrorists who have flooded the eastern part of Nigeria in the guise of
security agents are set to bomb Aba on May 30th when millions of Biafrans must
have gathered in Aba for the Remembrance day celebration. The bomb which will
be situated at a strategic point will at its explosion, cause a heavy
pandemonium which the security will use as an excuse to unleash mayhem at any
Biafra activist nearest to them, after which they will dissociate themselves
and blame the casualties on the bomb that exploded as well as the pandemonium
that followed.
Meanwhile,
reports coming from Biafra activists in Anambra State has it that there is an
unusual heavy and hostile-looking security personnels within and around the
vicinity of Okpoko police station in Anambra State as at the time of filing
this report. Our source has disclosed that these disguised Boko Haram
terrorists who are of Northern origin are the group that will be used to make
life miserable for Biafrans in Anambra State during the course of their
celebrations.
Calls have been made to the Abia State government to be on alert and protect
the lives of its citizens despite their political affiliations. Aba is set to
be a major tourist attraction come May 29th and 30th as different foreigners
and international journalists are set to join Biafrans at the period of the
celebrations.
According
to the indigenous people of Biafran, nothing can stop this year's commemoration
day, not even the evil plots of the government.
Biafra: Any Igbo man not
talking about Biafra is a
lunatic -
semi-open letter to
Ndi-Igbo
TUESDAY,
24 MAY 2016
Hello my people, am sorry to anyone that feels bad about
this topic... but it is because of the way I feel and I have right to express
it.
Our Igbo brothers are the most greedy set of people, they
feel that talking about Biafra will mean that their investment will be
destroyed or taken. They prefer material things to human life. There
mothers and fathers are been killed everyday in every part of Igbo land and
even outside Igbo land, but what you will see most of them saying is money, and
the worst is that the money they are making are all invested outside their own
land. And this is why I envy Nnewi people who prefer to invest in the
East. Sometimes most of our people act as if they are Brainless, they
invest all their life in the north while youths in their villages run out of
their home as if Igbo land is a cursed land, The boast of having Estate in the
North, but not even a factory in Igbo land, fools!
It is because of people like you that Igbos are subjected to
Slavery in this wicked "Glorified Zoo called Nigeria".
The reason is that such incident that happened in the east really required
drastic actions, but most youths fear of what will happen to most of you living
in the North. But there is a time a man have to take action without
thinking back and the time is now. The barbaric activities of the
"Enemies" in our own land can never go unchecked. Something must be
done, but this time around no one cares about what the out come will be.
When Fulani established their "REPUBLIC IN
Umuahia" people from other parts of the east said it does not concern
them, when it happened in Aba no one talked, when it happened in Anambra last
two weeks ,people said it's not their village, it has happened in Delta
severally but we said they are "Niger Deltans", it also happened in
Abi community in Enugu last three weeks and when the villagers gathered to have
meeting they were arrested by the Nigeria Army for trying to cause crisis, when
they kidnapped reverend Father and sisters, we said it "Catholic
people", but today the Worst have happened - Uzo-uwani in Enugu
state has witnessed the largest Genocide in Igbo land after the Civil War.
Our Leaders are also the Worst Zombies, they keep mute,
because it's either they all dream of becoming a president, Governor or Senator
in future. You can't become a President, Governor or Senator in an empty land,
where there is no life.
When will the Igbo people grow Above Material things and
value their lives???
If the killing is this much, now that the Grazing Reserve
Bill has not been passed, then imagine what will happen when they pass the
bill, when they will be given Authority to take any land from any part of the
country with Government backing. Then they will sack us. Igbos must wake up now
or die in silent.
Biafra is the only Answer to our problems because No
"Barbaric Fulani Man" will cross Nigeria and enter Biafra Land when
we have our own Government.. No country will like to fight war with another
sovereign Independent Country. And they can never enter Biafra without
checks. You might think that your Community is not affected, but who knows
your mother, your sister or any of your Relation or entire Community will be
next .
Can you imagine the Governor of Enugu State visited the
affected area and declared a two days fasting and prayer! Nonsense! Fools in
leadership positions. So it is prayer that will reverse the dead bodies or
return back all the churches and houses burnt!! Fools I repeat.
They are waiting to hear what Buhari who doubles as Fulani
man will say or do against his own people, then you shall wait in vain. Because
his silent means total support to the activities of his people. They are
systematically doing these things for everybody to believe that the only
solution is National Grazing Reserves for Fulani - to take my own land and dash
to terrorists! Never will it happen!!
We all must speak in one accord or we all die as cowards.

Here is one of the leaders of
ogoni communities. The Traditional Ruler of 'Yege' in a disgraceful condition.
The Hausa / Fulani soldiers aided by some power seeking ogoni indigenes meted
such a serious inhuman treatment to a father. God must surely judge them.
If it were in the northern part of Nigeria,
regardless of the offence he must have committed, no soldier born of a woman
can be used to disgrace their emir in this manner.
I pity ogoni people, this will not happen in

LETTER
TO THE MILITANTS
Dear Brothers,
Niger Delta Avengers(NDA)
Concern Militant Leaders(CML)
Egbesu Mightier Fraternity (EMF)
Isoko Liberation Front (ISL)
KUDOS TO THE MILITANTS
I want to start by giving kudos to all
the brave soldiers fighting for freedom from the creeks, it will interest you
as a freedom fighters to see at least one person that's officially writing to
applause and welcome your activities within and outside the creeks,"
Sincerely speaking, you guys are doing us proud," Proud in the sense that you're
not demanding for resource control as usual, instead you have shown maturity by
fighting for a just course which is your freedom.
Freedom is golden to all humanity but
it is very unfortunate that the Zoological Republic of Nigeria have toyed with
our freedom and right to human existence. Many people have wondered why the
militants are bombing the oil facilities located in the NIGER DELTA area!
Honestly speaking, their reasons were as good as mine,"since the oil was
discovered in the axis, it have solved little or no problem facing the poor
masses, the poor youths of the land are in steady suffering, pains and gnashing
of teeth only because oil is flowing in the region.
The Northern figures that owned mostly
86% of the oil blocks came as far distance as the North to own oil blocks while
the original owners of the land are left to perish and die prematurely due to
hardship imposed on them by the Zoological Republic of Nigeria.
When you look into this matter critically, you will see that those strangers
from the North that owns the oil blocks have vowed not to develop the region as
it wasn't in their culture to develop a land not originally own by them, these
group of men seen today as oil block owners have almost destroyed 90% of our
people's lives and properties only to make sure that their oil businesses keep
flowing without even considering the damages been done to the Niger Delta
region and Southeast as a whole."
The militants see all these nonsense
happening in the region as a big insult and a slap on their faces, therefore,
allowing the oil to continue flowing is of no meaning hence the oil business
for ages haven't solve any problem relating to unemployment, Poor Living
Standard, Unstable Electricity, Poor Educational System,Bad Water Supply,Bad
Roads,Insecurity, Ethnic Cleansing, Marginalisation, Bad Infrastructures,Bad
Hospitals,Land Pollution,Oil Spillage and Land degradation.
The risk of allowing the oil to flow is
huge, and it is now obvious that the key players in the oil industries are
throwing their weight on our people by threatening to crush us each time we
rise up in unity to defend our lives, properties and heritage." Fighting
for our right will forever remain, and is a task worth dying for," for
those of you criticizing militants especially the Southerners" I want you
all to know that this fight is your fight,as the owners of these oil blocks are
mostly from the North and have shown no sign of being in love with you instead
they prefer to buy more sophisticated weapons, fighter jets ,employ
mercenaries, lobby with some Western allies to kill and destroy you for daring
to stand their way as an obstacle, the more you allow them to enrich themselves
with oil flowing in our land is the more powerful you ignorantly make them to
become.
Our right to agitate and fight for
freedom is enshrined under "UNITED NATION'S CHARTER" but is now
obvious that our right is not even found anywhere in the world not to talk more
of the so called UN Charter.
The course to liberate ourselves and emerge as a sovereign nation now lies in our
hands,as we can now see that every peaceful means of agitation have lead to our
death, now is the time to move the suffering away from our region and make it a
nationwide predicament by this guerilla warfare.
Everything we have as a people have
been taken away by the Zoological Republic of Nigeria." Nnamdi Kanu is in
detention, the one and only Maritime University commissioned by GEJ is
gone,Second Niger Bridge is gone,Sea ports are gone,Our Roads are bad,
Universities are on steady strike,Ibeato Cement is gone,Textile industry is
gone,Glass industry,Airports are going and yet they export oil that worth
billions of dollars from our land,"No,this is a very big blow for all of
us,I will stop here so far,but for those of you who don't get it,it is time you
join me by saying all hail the militants.

Buhari must release
Nnamdi Kanu with
immediate effect,
otherwise the heavens
will strike- Prophet
This, according to Vanguard, was made known by Prophet
Anthony Nwoko of the Church of God when he addressed a crowded press conference
at the end of a prayer summit organised by 24 pastors in Enugu. He said: “I cannot find any clean political leader from the
South East. The governors are selfish, self centered, and have never pursued
any action that will uplift the overall well-being of Igbo nation.
“Buhari must
release Nnamdi Kanu with immediate effect, otherwise the heavens will strike.”
While posing a challenge to the southeast religious leaders, the cleric said
they have to “step forward now and fulfil God’s mandate for the Igbo nation.
“The religious leaders saw the glory in the country but could not deliver the
message to the nation, the judgment will be upon them for denying Christ, his
glory.
I was
spiritually crowned for the nation and the world and was sent on a special
mission for the glory of God.“They should allow this light to materialize, if
not crisis will overrun the nation as a whole, Prophet Nwoko is a chosen
prophet, Igbos should seek for the prophet. The truth is finally here, but
Nigeria finds it difficult to believe, the nation refuses to recognize the
presence of the anointed saviour of the world because of tribalism.”

TB Joshua Releases Fresh Shocking Prophecy About Buhari, Nigeria, Plane
Crash, Warns Uk (Must Read)
On Sunday May 22, 2016, T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church Of
All Nations (SCOAN), made some shocking revelations on his Emmanuel TV station
concerning Nigeria and the world at large. The ‘prophet’ spoke on many issues
including the recent EgyptAir crash, African politics and agriculture, even
warning of a terrorist attack in the United Kingdom. He read out a transcript
of the prophecies he had given during his New Year’s Crossover Service,
highlighting particularly the national food scarcity. On each point read, he
expanded further, detailing what Nigeria and Africa are to expect in the
nearest future. FOOD SCARCITY “ There will be large scale scarcity, shortage of
food. As a state, country, continent, we have to go back to the farm to arrest,
to alleviate the forthcoming situation”, he read. Further expanding on the
details of the prophecy, he said, “It is only a ‘shortage’ that you are
experiencing now; you have not experienced ‘large scale.’ ” Giving further
insight, he proclaimed, “This one that I am saying now, ‘scarcity’, ‘large
scale’, it’s a proverb.
Whatever you can do from now till December – all of your money
you will use to buy food – you will not have enough to buy.” Advising those in
the real-estate business he said, “If you are the type planning to build a
house now, stop it for the mean time. If you are in the business of buying
land, stop it for the mean time – look for another business. Stop it for the
mean time until February next year. Use that money on the need of people now.”
Giving a sombre warning, he said, “I’m preparing you.
Get ready; lager scale scarcity is coming!” In the last few
days, Nigerians have woken up to the stark reality of the rising food scarcity.
Several reports were released on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday detailing the
extent of the current national food woes. ALSO READ: BREAKING! Buhari Orders
EFCC to Freeze Accounts of Billionaire, Ibeto (See Why) Tomato ebola, violence
from fulani herdsmen, missed harvests and rising transportation costs have all
been attributed as the cause of the food shortage and spiralling food prices.
On the rise of “tomato ebola”, Kaduna state agriculture
commissioner, Manzo Daniel, said: “This is only the beginning of a disaster if
we don’t take drastic measures because the disease is fast spreading across the
north.” NIGERIA’S ECONOMY On the economic plight Nigerians are facing, Joshua
read from his beginning of year prophecies: “The president will do everything
to reject devaluation of the naira – which is a good idea from a good leader. But
there will be overwhelming pressure which he will not be able to resist.
Nigeria, we are in a valley. DOWNLOAD ZUBBY BLOG ANDROID APP The future is
crying for help.” Expanding on the ‘valley’, Joshua said: “I explained that we
are in a valley but it is not the valley of the shadow of death. There is no
snake or scorpion, it’s different. When you are in the valley you will cry and
cry but you will still get out of the valley.”
SANUSI SPEAKS
The former Central
Bank Governor, and Emir of kano His
royal highness muhammadu Sanusi the second , surprised
guests present at the Muson Centre for the launching
of the book of Sir Olaniwun Ajayi. Below is his unedited speech. “Let
me start by saying that I am Fulani (laughter). My grandfather was an Emir
also fulani my uncle and guardian was also the immediate late Emir of kano Alhaji
Ado Bayero and therefore I represent all that has been talked about this
afternoon. Sir Ajayi has written a book. And like all Nigerians of his
generation, he has written in the language of his generation. “My
grandfather was a Northerner, I am a Nigerian.
The problem with this country is that in 2009, we speak in the language of 1953.
Sir Olaniwun can be forgiven for the way he spoke, but I cannot forgive
people of my generation speaking in that language. “Let us go into
this issue because there are so many myths that are being bandied around.
Before colonialism, there was nothing like Northern Nigeria, Before
the Sokoto Jihad, there was nothing like the Sokoto caliphate. The man
from Kano regard himself as bakane. The man from Zaria was bazazzage. The
man from Katsina was bakatsine. The kingdoms were at war with each other.
They were Hausas, they were Muslims, they were killing each
other. “The
Yoruba were Ijebu, Owo, Ijesha, Akoko, Egba. When did they become one?
When did the North become one? You have the Sokoto Caliphate that brought
every person from Adamawa to Sokoto and said it is one kingdom. They
now said it was a Muslim North. “The Colonialists came, put that
together and said it is now called the Northern Nigeria. Do you know what happened?
Our grand fathers were able to transform to being Northerners. We have not
been able to transform to being Nigerians. The fault is ours. Tell
me, how many governors has South West produced after Awolowo that are role
models of leadership? How many governors has the East produced like Nnamdi Azikiwe
that can be role models of leadership?
How Many governors in the Niger Delta are role models of leadership? Tell me.
There is no evidence statistically that any part of this country has
produced good leaders. You talk about Babangida and the problems of our economy.
Who were the people in charge of the economy during Babangida era? Olu
Falae, Kalu Idika Kalu. What state are they from in the North? “We
started the banking reform; the first thing I heard was that in Urobo
land, there will be a curse of the ancestors. I said they (ancestors)
would not answer.
They said why? I said how many factories did Ibru build in
Urobo land? So, why will the ancestors of the Urobo people support her? “We
talk ethnicity when it pleases us. It is hypocrisy. You said elections
were rigged in 1959, Obasanjo and Maurice Iwu rigged election in 2007. Was
it a Southern thing? It was not. “The problem is: everywhere in this country,
there is one Hausa, Ibo, Yoruba and Itshekiri man whose concern is how to
get his hands on the pile and how much he can steal. Whether it is in
the military or in the civilian government, they sit down, they eat
together. In fact, the constitution says there must be a minister from
every state.
“So, anybody that is still preaching that the problem of Nigeria
is Yoruba or Hausa or Fulani, he does not love Nigeria . The problem with Nigeria is that
a group of people from each and every ethnic tribe is very selfish. The
poverty that is found in Maiduguri is even worse than any poverty that you
find in any part of the South. The British came for 60 years and Sir Ajayi
talked about few numbers of graduates in the North (two as at independence)
. What he did not say was that there was a documented policy of the
British when they came that the Northerner should not be educated. It was documented.
It was British colonial policy.
I have the document. I have published articles on it. That
if you educate
the Northerner you will produce progressive Muslim intellectuals of the
type we have in Egypt and India. So, do not educate them. It was
documented. And you say they love us (North) more than the south. “I
have spent the better part of my life to fight and Dr. (Reuben) Abati
knows it. Yes, my grandfather was an Emir. Why was I in the pro-democracy
movement fighting for June 12? Is (Moshood) Abiola from Kano ? Why am
I a founding director of the Kudirat Initiative for Nigerian Development
(KIND)? “There are good Yoruba people, good Igbo people, good Fulani
people, good Nigerians and there are bad people everywhere. That is the
truth. “Stop talking about dividing Nigeria because we are not the most
populous country in the world. We have all the resources that make it
easy to make one united great Nigeria .
It is better if we are united than to divide it. “Every time you talk
about division, when you restructure, do you know what will happen? In
Delta Area, the people in Warri will say Agbor, you don’t have oil.
When was the Niger Delta constructed as a political entity? Ten years ago,
the Itshekiris were fighting the Urobos. Isn’t that what was happening?
Now they have become Niger Delta because they have found oil. After, it will
be, if you do not have oil in your village then you cannot share our
resources. “There is no country in the world where resources are found
in everybody’s hamlet. But people have leaders and they said if you have
this geography and if we are one state, then we have a responsibility for
making sure that the people who belong to this country have a good nature. “So,
why don’t you talk about; we don’t have infrastructure, we don’t have
education, we don’t have health. We are still talking about Fulani. Is it
the Fulani cattle rearer or is anybody saying there is no poverty among
the Fulani?”, he said.
This is a great
message to our generation.
EXPOSED!!! SEE NAMES OF ALL NORTHERNERS WHO

From Niger Delta Avengers
To the President of
Nigeria Buhari, we are sure you have not been to the creeks of the Niger delta
before and 90% of your cabinets does not know how the region looks like. You
think the Niger delta region is full of animals, who are going to frustrate
your government. Your government that is not following rule of law, unlawful
detention of innocent people just likes of Nnamdi Kanu. All he wanted was to
let his people go. Nnamdi kanu didn’t carry any arm against this country but
was incarcerated. We want you to know that’s no civilize President will behaves
this way. If that is how you devised to run the country we will prefer you do
that in the northern region.
When couples are
tired of living together to make peace they go their separate ways. That is
what Nnamdi kanu and the Niger deltans are asking.
You always say you
fought for the unity of this country during the civil war. You haven’t been to
the Niger delta, how can you know what the people are facing I believe your
Vice will tell how the region is suffering and under developed when he visited
the Forcados Terminal. That is if he ever looks out of his helicopter window.

To owners and operators of these oil blocs in our

just shut down your operations and leave.
Nigeria Is Fantastically Corrupt
Fantastically Corrupt Buhari! READ THIS, YOU will FIND
OUT WHY BUHARI IS said to be even more corrupt.
2.8
BILLION DOLLARS 1978 OIL MONEY WAS TRACED TO GENERAL BUHARI'S MIDLAND NOW HSBC
OFFSHORE BANK ACCOUNT THAT WAS WHY HE STRUCK ON DECEMBER 31 1983. Before he
became HOS in 1983 he was the General Officer Commanding the 3rd Armoured
Division Jos. With armour under your command you could launch coups.
Abuja
where President Shagari was celebrating the New Year is flat terrain suitable
for armoured warfare. But it never came to that. Shagari's regime (1979-1983),
incurred Buhari's wrath when it decided to investigate the US$2.8 billion that
disappeared from the Midland Bank, London account of the Nigerian National
Petroleum Cooperation, (NNPC), during General Obasanjo's era as military head
of state that preceded Shagari's. Dr. Olusola Saraki, Turaki of Ilorin, was the
majority party leader of the Senate at the time and he headed the Senate
Committee set up to trace the stolen money after some three years of clamour
for such an investigation by members of the civil society.
The
money was traced to the Midland Bank London branch fixed account of Buhari,
Obasanjo's appointee as military head of the Nigerian National Petroleum
Company. The Committee's report was presented to the Senate during the tail end
of Shagari's regime in 1983, so the House decided to deal with the matter soon
after the 1983 general elections.
The
attempt at civilian-to-civilian transition provided the fillip for mayhem at
the time. The elections were marred by massive rigging because incumbent
political office holders were refusing to slacken their stranglehold on Nigeria
Plc., mortgaged as the leaders private property. On the 31st December, 1983,
Buhari struck under the cover of the political commotion that trailed the
presidential election results. Buhari generally had no agenda for leadership
but vendetta against those he called critics and rabble-rousers. Buhari did not
see any moral wrong in his conversion of our oil money into his personal use.
Rather he railed at the press and what he described as the self-righteous
sections of the country for making a big deal out of the issue. He locked up
without trial, politicians and critics including Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, notorious
for clamouring for the exposure of the oil money rogue. Satire saved my neck at
the time. Vera Ifudu, who was an NTA reporter then, was sacked through his
prodding as military ruler, for reporting what Dr. Olusola Saraki had told her
in an interview about how the missing money was traced to Buhari's account at a
Midland Bank London branch. Vera eventually won her case of wrongful dismissal
in court against the NTA and was financially compensated. Abacha rehabilitated
Buhari with the chairmanship of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) before he
(Abacha) died in 1998. When Obasanjo returned to power in May 1999 as civilian
president, he found that over 2.5 billion naira had not been properly accounted
for in the PTF and that there was not much on the ground to show for the
colossal expenditure the agency was claiming.
On the
day Obasanjo announced the scrapping of the PTF, a non-staff brother-in-law of
the boss, allegedly serving as his conduit on some PTF projects, died suddenly
from what appeared to be heart failure. Haruna Adamu, who was appointed by
Obasanjo to investigate the PTF before finally consigning it to the dung heap,
allegedly quickly pocketed one hundred million naira of PTF's money before
operating table could be set up for him, thus forcing Obasanjo to hurriedly
close the place down without further investigations. Buhari has been trying
desperately since to return to power, perhaps to get a chance to shred the PTF
documents? BUHARI IN STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN: A picture taken 13 July 1977, in

You Lied, Anioma Is Igbo And Part Of
Biafra, Traditional Ruler
of
Ukwuani Tells Gov. Okwwa
By Ike A.Offor
It is said that those who do not know
their history always pick any story about who they are and run with it.
The effect of the
military intelligence and propaganda onslaught during the Nigeria versus Biafra
war by the Nigerian federal troop against the people of Igbo extraction, who
were viewed, though erroneously, as the sole ethnic group that make up
Biafra, has not been completely eliminated.. This created enormous distortion
of pyschology and conmittant erroneous distortion of history amonsgt Igbo
speaking people within the ancient Biafran region.
Recently, the
governor of Delta State Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa, was quoted of saying that Anioma,
though they speak Igbo are not Igbo and so not part of Biafra. He warned the
Biafran agitators to steer clear of his state, Delta.
Though, most or
majority of Anioma people accept their Igbo ancestry, but so many ugly politics
has been played since the war ended with the identity of Anioma or Ika people.
The best people to
tell children who they are are indeed the elders, they are masters of history
and custodians of tradtion and culture. So, who is the best person to tell it
the way it is other than the traditional ruler of Ukwuani in Anioma?
The traditional
ruler of Ukwuani in Anioma Local government of Delta state, Okpala Ukwu
emphatically told the governor of Delta state that he lied about Anioma and
their ancestry.
The aged traditional ruler seen here in the photo told the
media that, the governor lied and said that Anioma people are Igbo and
therefore part of Biafra.
But there is
a saying that goes this way “those who where present during burial can tell
where the head of the corpse lies”. Those who are custodians of tradition and
masters of their history can veritably tell who they are and narrate their
history.
Though many
argued that Gov. Okowa has deep knowledge that Anioma is Igbo but he, as a
sitting governor, cannot openly support those agitating for sovereign state.
Some argued that the best thing was for him to remain mute about the agitation
instead of making efforts to rewrite the history of Anioma people.
A great
number of Anioma scholars both at home and in diaspora have been very emphatic
about the Igbo ancestry of Anioma people. Though a small number of them have
deep hatred traced to the wartime propaganda, which still eoches in some
quarters till this day.
Though the
words from the aged traditional ruler may reaffirm the stand of the majority
of Anioma people, it will not douce the fire amongst those who do not want
to be counted as Igbo and consequently Biafra.
Nigeria is Already Divided; See Proof!!! –
Philip Emeagwali

Sharia is observed in twelve of Nigeria’s thirty-six states.
Why should a section of country adopt a different law from others?
“The Nigerian constitution stipulates that we are Nigerians first and then
Muslims (or Christians) second. However, some fanatic northern Nigerian elected
officials are insisting that Muslims are Muslims first and Nigerians second and, therefore,
are entitled to live by the sharia Islamic law. The contradiction is these
elected officials were elected through a secular constitution that is the
supreme legal document of the land. Each official swore to uphold the
constitution. After being elected, some Muslim officials now want that
constitution subordinate to sharia law. Proponents of sharia argue that the
constitution guarantees freedom of religion while opponents argue that freedom
of religion does not mean that Islam will be the state religion and take
precedence over the constitution. When a northern Nigerian state adopts Islam
as the state religion, it in fact puts the state above the nation and its
constitution. In other words, “freedom of religion” does not entitle some
northern states to create an Islamic state within the secular state of Nigeria.
More specifically, the Nigerian constitution does not permit the adoption of
Christianity or Islam as the state religion. ” – PHILIP EMEAGWALI

Allow Biafrans to Go, Britain Pleads after confirming that Niger Delta
Avengers has more than 12 Missiles to Launch
Former presidents Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan and current
president of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari was in a meeting yesterday in London with
the British Prime Minister, David Cameron.
In the course of the meeting, Cameron confirmed that the
Niger Delta Avengers has more than 12 missiles in its possession and they are
ready to strike till Nigeria ceases to exist.
The British PM pleaded with the three, Obasanjo, Jonathan
and Buhari to set aside their political differences and work together to make
sure that the indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB is cut off from existence;
making sure that NDA and IPOB do not in any circumstance link up together as
it’ll be catastrophic to the world given the unprecedented intelligence
embedded in the leadership of IPOB.
However, Jonathan will head the negotiations with the Niger
Delta Avengers to make sure that they are all paid handsomely (Amnesty and
gratuity inclusive).
Meanwile, Obasanjo will mediate between Buhari and Jonathan
to making sure that peace reigns between the duo which according to them will
bring a lasting peace to the country.
BREAKING: Nigerian
Military Killed Supporters
Of Biafra
Agitation At
Onitsha, BBC Reports
(Details)
June 11, 2016
The Nigeria’s
military under the command of Muhammadu Buhari killed at least 34 supporters of
Biafran independence agitators, according to Amnesty International.
The rights group called on Nigeria’s government to
investigate the deaths in the
south-eastern city of Onitsha last month 30th May 2016.
The Nigerian
military described the claims as unfounded and misleading.
At least one
million people died in the 1967-70 civil war started by Biafran secessionists.
Protests had resumed over the past year in south east region of the Country
over hardship and inhuman maltreatment across the region.
According to
Amnesty, some of those who died were members of the Indigenous People of Biafra
(IBOP), a group campaigning for Biafran independence.
Some had
been shot in the back, an indication that they were fleeing the scene, Amnesty
said.
IPOB says
Nigeria’s government is dominated by northerners and has not done enough to
develop the mostly Igbo-speaking south-eastern parts of Nigeria.
BOMBSHELL!!! Buhari
Runs
Nigeria Like A Northern
Community Business While
The South Suffer – Yoruba
Elders Lament
June 11, 2016
Yoruba elders
yesterday rose from a meeting in Ibadan, Oyo State capital accusing President
Mohammadu Buhari of favouring the northern part of the country above others.
The elders under the aegis of the Yoruba Unity Forum (YUF) at a press
conference in Ibadan addressed by Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Bolanle Gbonigi assessed
the administration of Buhari and concluded that he has not been fair to the
south.
The
cleric, at the well-attended conference which had in attendance his deputy,
Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu, his vice chairman who also doubles as the Yoruba
think tank Chairman, Senator Femi Okurounmu, a former minister, Prof. Tunde
Adeniran, former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Kofoworola Bucknor Akerele , Bisi
Sangodoyin, Mrs. Bolajoko Doherty and Chief Emmanuel Adelana among others
accused Buhari of executing policies “clearly designed to favour a particular
ethnic group which also happens to be his ethnic group.
“A glance at the table showing key appointments made so far
underscores the extent of the marginalisation of the south. The summary of
appointment shows that the North West which is the president’s zone has 26
positions or 44 percent of all appointments he made so far, North East has nine
positions or 15 percent, North Central has six positions or 10 percent, South
West has seven positions or 11. 8 percent, South South has eight positions or
13.56 percent and the South East three positions or five percent.
“This brings the total for the North to 41 positions or 69.5
percent while the South is left with 18 positions or 30.5 percent.’’
Gbonigi continued: “The last 365 days have indeed
been momentous for Nigeria. While the president has made significant progress
towards routing out the Boko Haram insurgents and restoring peace in the North
East, centres of various other insurgencies have sprouted in other parts of the
country, like the South South and the South East, not to mention the new terror
posed by the rampaging Fulani herdsmen.
These sectional insurgencies are bound to continue to arise from
time to time with our present over- centralised, quasi-unitary structure of
governance.
“This is why well-meaning, respectable Nigerians have
agitated for decades and continue to agitate for a restructuring of the country
to achieve true fiscal and political federalism and to enable each section to
mobilise and develop its own resources.
“The president’s recent remarks therefore that he will
consign the recommendations of the 2014 National Conference to the archives,
and the present posture of his party against restructuring show that they are
out of step with progressive thinking in the country.”
Questioning the rationale behind the frequency of President
Buhari’s foreign trips in the last 12 months to almost 30 countries, the forum
asked him to stay more at home to attend to pressing domestic problems and stop
making important policy pronouncements concerning the nation while engaged with
foreign audiences.
On the recent increase in pump price of petrol, the group said
while it recognised the need for a partial deregulation of the downstream
sector of the petroleum industry, “There should have been prior consultations
with all stakeholders and the various palliative measures which the government
intends to adopt to cushion the harsh effects of the sudden price increase
should have been made known to the public.”
AN
OPEN LETTER TO MY BRETHREN IN THE "SOUTH-SOUTH"
By Donald Ekpo, Akwa Ibom State
"For as long as the Old Eastern
region remain in disarray and not united, self-determination of the region will
remain impossible." ~ An anonymous retired Nigerian Army Chief
The word “South-South,” even though it
may sound absurd, is a name we have come to accept as a people. We can’t say
exactly how we came about to be identified with the name neither can we say
exactly when we were given the name, but we just know it is our name. While
growing up back in the days, geography taught us about “the North,” “the
South,” “The East” and “The West.” For proper definition of locations, we were
also told about “The Northwest, NorthEast, Southwest and SouthEast” I can’t
remember anything like the “NorthNorth”, “SouthSouth”, “EastEast” or Westwest ,
but here I am today, writing a letter to my South-South brethren. That is what
happens to a people that are not in control of their Cultural Development or
the Political and Economic Future.
That is what happens to a people that
are just there for their numbers, that is what happens to people that are just
kept for their services, that is what happens to people that are just
custodians of wealth for a supposedly superior people, and finally, that is
what happens to peoples that are slaves. Any name is suitable for them, they
can only get whatever is given to them even if it is originally theirs. If in
doubt, please remind me of the meaning of KUNTA KINTE.
I write this letter not because it is
frustrating to see how we allowed a defrauded propaganda to position our people
as the pawns in the Political Chess called Nigeria, but rather, I write this
letter in an effort to request that we free ourselves from these propaganda
that has lingered for too long. If our grandfathers and fathers did not ask
questions, is there any divine law that says we cannot ask? We know we all
belonged to the old Eastern Region of Nigeria before the Northern Protectorate
took back their power after the gruesome murder of General Aguiyi Ironsi.
Just for the records, let me do us a
bit of history here; Major General Ironsi as Head of State was cornered and
arrested somewhere in western Nigeria on July 29th of 1966, his hands and feet
were tied together, then tied to a Land Rover with a little space in between,
and driven on a tarred road, face down for several kilometers. The then highest
ranking Northern officer, an acting (Unconfirmed) Lieutenant Colonel was chosen
to be the next Head of State ahead of serving Brigadiers, Colonels and
Lieutenant Colonels of the Southern Nigeria, followed by the dreadful killings
of officers and soldiers of Eastern Nigeria including our so called South South
soldiers and officers.
The genocide that followed is what is
recorded as the Nigerian Civil War of 1967 – 1970. As if that was not enough,
the Eastern region was broken apart with the sudden creation of the then South
Eastern State (today’s Cross Rivers and Akwa Ibom), Rivers State (Today’s
Rivers State and Bayelsa). It was during that war that propagandas were
designed, created and generated to separate us from the old Eastern Region and
make the average Igbo man our potential enemy in an effort to reduce their own
presumed enemies. In as much as it is a bitter history, but I find it necessary
to do you this preamble.
I write this letter to remind us that
our region, known as the South-South today was a creation of the North for the
sake of creating the disunity we face today. And moreso, it was not just for
the disunity for them to win the war, but to also take away our resources, our
manpower and our economic future. In 2014 when President Jonathan, a son of the
so called South-South decided to re-contest the 2015 elections, Sheik Junaid
Mohammed in an engagement on behalf the Northern Protectorate, reminded us that
the so called South-South was a creation of the North for effective management
of the Northern interest in Eastern Nigeria. How bad could this be? Can we
imagine that? So while we are busy reminding ourselves that we are a different
people or that the Igbos are wicked and are trying to kill us, the North is joyously
taking over and owning 85% of our oil wells while the West takes over the left
overs.
And what do we get? Noise! Even the
supposedly football legend, Sunday Okechukwu Oliseh is busy telling us he is
not Igbo as if it is a curse to be Igbo. One wonders if the name Okechukwu is
of Hausa or Yoruba origin. When you speak Igbo as a language and yet claim you
are not Igbo, is that not the saddest thing that can happen to any people of
identical culture? Even Major Kaduna Nzeogwu that led the first coup that was
said to be an Igbo coup is from Okpanam village in today’s Delta State. Could
he have come out to say today like Sunday Oliseh said that he was not Igbo? If
the Abakaliki or Nsukka indigene that has a more distant dialect of Igbo is
Igbo, how come the Anioma or Okrika indigene that is easily understood is not
Igbo? How did a people of the same culture get so separated these far?
I write these letter to speak to those
of us regarded as "minority tribes." How can we be minority when in
essences we are known to be about 35 million of the said 180 million of the
said Nigerian population? How can we be a minority in our own lands if we were
not treated as such, or if we did not accept to be such? If those from the
alliance that separated us from the West are said to be about 50 million in
population, and our brethren in the East are said to be about 40 million, how
can we accept we are a minority? Our compatriots from the alleged minorities of
the North are said to be another 30 million, who then is the minority? Having
run through these figures, we know who the real minorities are.
Be it as it appears, the truth is that
our region was broken into two so as to weaken our original strength given that
at a combined population strength of 35 million and 40 million people, our
economic and entrepreneurial strength put together would be something the
alliance will be worried about. So why should we ever think that it is logical
to claim we are two different people when in essence, we have always been one
and the same people for over 400 years before the arrival of the white man. If
what the white man did to us was not bad enough, is it not ridiculous that we
allowed a certain minority immigrants to assume control of our economic and
political future?
I write these letter to ask my brethren
in the South-South these pertinent question; Let us assume the very worst
situation in this fracas between us and our Igbo brothers, why are we worried
about the Igbos taking over our “natural resources” (assuming they don’t have
theirs), ARE WE PRESENTLY IN CONTROL OF OUR “NATURAL RESOURCES”? Does it make
more sense that our natural resources is being controlled by some strange
people from over 700 miles away? People that kill us at will at a single
provocation of their religion? People that even kill us in our land? People
that challenge us to the ownership of these our resources? People that show
absolute disregard of who we are? People that think it is a privilege for us to
be in any position of authority? And finally, people that do not in any way
have the kind of entrepreneurial skills that we have?
Why would we allow our imaginary
quarrel or fights with our brothers translate to the decision of one of the
women in King Solomon’s Judgment that insisted that since she couldn’t have the
child, the other woman should not. So are we in essence saying it is better for
none of us brethren to own our resources simply because we don’t trust our
brothers, yet we do nothing about the stranger that has ripped us apart? Are we
logically correct in these senseless quarrel?
Even while we are senselessly worried
about how the Igbos will colonize our people because that is what we were told,
and that is what some of these alliance are still trying to tell us; can we
sincerely tell ourselves that the Igbos are that evil? Evil enough to leave
their Natural resources in Abia, Imo, Anambra and Enugu states to come and take
ownership of our resources? How will they do that? How possible will it be for
a people that barely kill by the sword compared to our present oppressors? Do
we honestly see that as a possibility? How and why did we allow these
propaganda to go these far? Is these not what the alliance has used to rule us
through the divide and rule scheme? Sheik Jumiad Mohammed said it clearly that
our separation was a creation of the North for the effective management of our
resources while we keep fighting an imaginary enemy.
I write this letter to remind us that
we and our Igbo brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers have cultural
identities, we uphold the sanctity of life, we do not kill a man like a
chicken, we worship the same God, and we have identical looks and reasoning
capabilities. Education is a respected virtue to both of us, entrepreneurism is
a common love between us. We both respect constituted authorities. Even-though
we both have the cultural odds that cannot, and should not be used to castigate
an entire people. So how come the Igbo man suddenly became evil shortly before
the war if the castigation was not a propaganda tool of the war?
How did we accept that our Igbo
brothers were evil while we were saints? How are we saints? Is there any evil
that is the monopoly of the Igbos that we are totally clean of? That we don’t
have a single man/woman that does same if positioned in the same situation? How
did we allow a distant people determine how we leave our lives? If we think we
are different and as such we are treated better than the Igbos; have we noticed
that the fate of the Onitsha Port is the same fate that befell the Ports in
Calabar and Port Harcourt? We from the East are all forced to go to Lagos to
pay taxes to those ports. How have we been treated differently by these
alliances if we were different from the Igbos? Are we not facing the same fate
as our Eastern brethren? How do you think we will fare if we were the only ones
to receive these treatment given a circumstance where the Igbos are no more in
this contraption called Nigeria?
I write this letter to our brethren to
remind us that without a unified stand of the entire region, the
self-determination process will be a farce. We need each other in all
difficulties. We are the Eastern Region; we are the region of the Lower Niger;
we are a common people; we are not different from each other. Starting from the
Hills of Ogoja to the rocky soils of Ebonyi, down to the temperate region of
Anambra down to the enclaves of Ishekiri and Isoko, we all look alike.
The Akwa Ibom man and the Abia State
man are the same people simply divided by boundaries. The Calabar man and the
Arochukwu man have identical ancestral masquerades. The Ikwerre man is just an
Igbo man that was separated by the North to act as a different people. A
British woman, camped somewhere in Kaduna decided to add the “R” consonant to
the “U” vowel to totally break the identities of the Igbos in today’s Rivers
State. The Ijaws, Kalabaris, Oron, Efik are practically the same people
positioned in different locations possibly during the settlement centuries ago.
We are all interrelated in the region and as such must not be divided.
We have been used for decades,
disregarded at every opportunity, our rights are perceived as privileges if not
favors. We do not have control over our future as instructed by the late Ahmadu
Bello when he instructed his people not to allow us have control of our future,
and should be seen as a conquered territory. Are we a conquered people by some
strange people that believe they are born to rule, conquer and kill? These are
a people who do not hold as sacrosanct what we revere as one. How can we continue
in this Union that was designed to enslave us? How can we allow the lies told
by these strangers to pitch us against ourselves?
AN ADDENDUM TO MY IGBO BROTHERS
I write to you to remind you that you
can only fight a lie that was imbedded into the hearts of my brethren by
putting yourself in his shoes to know how best to respond. We cannot fight evil
with evil. Like we know, they say two wrongs don’t make a right. It is your
responsibility to subtly ask those accusing you some logical questions that may
prick their hearts to realities. We are all in this mess called Nigeria
together.
Our Son, Goodluck Jonathan, was treated
the same way General Ironsi was treated, they were both rejected. They were
both despised. Both of them wanted a united Nigeria that existed beyond tribes
and religion, but what did we see? President Goodluck Jonathan was lucky to
escape with his life, but the General was not that lucky; He was tied to a Land
Rover and driven on the rocky tarred roads between Abeokuta and Ibadan till he died
and was shredded to pieces. Based on the Alhaji and Kunle’s phone conversation
I believe we all listened to, we know that it could as well have happened to
President Jonathan if he was not wise enough to let go of their birthright. But
can we continue like this?
Look at what they are doing to Nnamdi
Kanu? These are the same people that organized 70 lawyers to represent the Boko
Haram suspects that have raped, maimed and Killed Nigerians, yet the one they
choose to lead us says Nnamdi is too dangerous to be released because he has
dual citizenship. Is these the kind of place we will continue to belong to when
we are likely going to be having malicious morons of this magnitude leading us?
I write to you my brothers to remind
you that the Gambaris know for certainty that having broken a greater part of
you into other states in the "South-South," it may be difficult to
successfully secede knowing what we know today. So it is inappropriate for you
to remind my own brothers that with or without us, that you will succeed.
We cannot allow the propaganda of these
gambaris to keep us apart. We must reject it by all means and efforts. We stand
a greater chance to succeed as one region. As the older one of the two broken
parts of our region, it is your responsibility to expose the deception that was
used to mislead my people. It is you that will tell my people you do not have
any intentions to colonize them. We have to collectively put these alliance to
shame by consciously keeping our relationship cordial in the region. My dear
brethren, I write to request that you take it as a duty to remind us that we
are all one people because in truth, WE ARE ONE!
THE LOWER NIGER CONGRESS will not
succeed if we do not position ourselves for success. We cannot go to a
referendum with a divided house. We have to all agreed that we cannot continue
in this contraption called a United Nigeria that was not just built on lies and
propaganda, but was designed to fail while it enslaves our people. We have been
battered, raped, disregarded, maimed and killed at will for the past 50 years.
I am talking about the entire Eastern region. While we are being raped and
killed, we are busy seeing each other as our enemy, while the real enemies
smiles at our folly. We cannot continue like this. We should all take the
opportunity presented to us by the UNITED NATION CHARTER ARTICLES ON
SELF-DETERMINATION FOR INDIGENOUS PEOPLE.
The Lower Niger Congress, has so far
made presentations to the US Congress on the plight of our people, made a
presentation to the United Nations, and have been able to secure a period by
which the referendum will take place here in our region. But will we succeed
during the electoral process if we are not united? Is it not time we put our
swords into plowshare and see how we can take control of our political,
economic future and Cultural development?
The Lower Niger Congress having met
with traditional and titled leaders in all the corners of the Lower Niger
Region believes the project will not be a success if we do not see ourselves as
a united body. We cannot afford to go into a referendum that may be sabotaged
by the propagandas of the alliance of the North. It is our duty to educate
ourselves, educate our relatives, and educate our brethren. It is the best duty
we can do for the generations unborn of our region.
This contraption called Nigeria was never designed to succeed,
not with the present fraud of Constitution, not with the present mentality that
only a section of the country were meant to rule, and finally, not with the
present odds that accompany those that make it to the leadership position.
Finally, brethren, I appeal to you all
to join hands in actualizing our dream to build a new nation based on
principles, agreed morals, agreed terms and absolute regional autonomy to
provoke developmental competition. This is what the LOWER NIGER CONGRESS IS
WILLING TO OFFER.

Efulefu Biafrans (I): How to Play Ethnic And Religions
Card And Lose, By CHURCHILL OBINNA OKONKWO
NEWISSUES, Abuja
With clouded mind and distorted vision, you fabricate tales of
absurdity in the name of braveness. You combine narratives of love and hatred;
birth and abortions. You sneeze and crack you head in an attempt to force the
transfer of Apapa Port to the dry banks of the Niger River. You turn your back
against the world as if it’s an honor. Sounds like a good idea, but, permit me
to peel back just the top layer of your over overstuffed ego and show you that
you have lost your virginity – your virginity of pure heart and clear thoughts.
A good friend of mine recently screamed on his Facebook page
“Fulani Herdsmen! Fulani Herdsmen!! Fulani Herdsmen!!!” After blabbing for a
while, he provokingly concluded that in the “next 50yrs children of Ndigbo will
think Fulanis are their brothers by virtue of the dominance on the grazing
reserves in Southeastern Nigeria where they have settled. And in the case of a
conflict, you can’t send them back. Back to where?” he asked boldly.
For the record, I am in support of ranches land as part of the
solution to the herdsmen-farmers conflict, but when I came across this, I
realized the dangers of allowing such misconception (in relation to who is a
brother and who should be sent home) to fly and I felt the need to correct him.
So, I responded by telling him that he is feverish. I then reminded him that
his Igbo brothers and sisters have settled in the north (since time
immemorial), living in their mansions there and raising their families while
speaking Hausa fluently. In return, I asked him to tell me what the Hausa
Fulanis are telling their kids now and what will they tell them in 50 years to
come about his Igbo brothers?
After a while, he came back and saluted me, he then said that
“there is a big difference between Igbos in the North that acquire plots of
land disparately to build houses, than acquiring large expanse of land as
grazing reserve and subsequently settling there with their Emirs, women,
children and etc., etc.”
Again, I ignored his reference to grazing (that’s fear mongering)
and focused on his allusion to “Emirs”, “settling”, “women” and “children”. So,
I came back and asked him what if his Igbo people had been denied those plots
of land in Kano or Lagos or Kaduna simply because of their ethnicity or out of
the fear that they will settle and not return back “home”? I asked him whether
he has ever heard about Eze-Igbo in Lagos and Kano; I informed him that his
kinsmen come with their women and brothers in swoops, taking over all business
ventures (as well as “terrorizing” the local population with their wealth)
where they settled. At this point, he crawled back inside his hole (hopefully
to digest the brief exchange).
I also want you to take your time to digest the exchange above.
As you attempt to come up with an excuse to justify your
position (I know there are more than enough), here is my question: If it
becomes the standard to send people of different ethnicity and or religion
“back home” when there is a conflict with their “host” communities in Nigeria,
which ethnic group will be most affected? If Nigerians who move around to do
their businesses are first assessed and approved based on the potential
emotional, cultural, economic, religious or social pain and/or conflict that
may happen up at some point, which ethnic group will be most affected?
Think deeply about that. You see, I have always wondered why
people who live in a glass house are the ones provoking and demanding for a
stone throwing fight with their neighbors living in a mud house (I don’t mean
any offense here).
You cannot have a sincere conversation (even with yourself) with
a closed mind. Can’t you see that you are even betraying yourself? You tie
yourself in knots as you call for the destruction of the “zoo” even as you open
your shops in Alaba and Ladipo Market (in the same zoo) all in a single breath.
In your crooked thinking you reminded me that the cattle belong to rich
individuals and as such they should sort themselves out with ranches if they
can. You forgot that states and LGAs all over Nigeria committed serious effort
and resources into providing land and market space for your Igbo brothers
before its development and then heavy tax and levies. Why can’t the same be
applied to the rich cattle owners by helping find land for ranches and then
levy them? What will happen if states in the North decide not to help provide
alternative market place for your rich Igbo brothers after preventing them from
doing street business?
You are an Efulefu (take note of a redefinition of that word)–
when you attempt to portray yourself as the only wise man from the east, but
end up betraying and putting the lives of your brothers and sisters (all over
Nigeria) at risk. You are full of yourself as you go about bragging about your
high level of intelligence oblivious of how you action is betraying your
brothers and sisters in the Federal Civil Service, multinational corporations
and other workplaces across Nigeria. Because of your actions and big mouth,
they moan that they have been sidelined by other tribes in promotions and appointments.
You don’t have enough money to buy a shop at Ariaria Market Aba,
so you hang around the market struggling to make ends meet. Your brother who
has been living in Kano for more than 20 years with his family calls you to
find out how mama is doing, you informed him that mama is not feeling well and
needs to be taken to hospital but that there is no money. You then reminded him
that you have ran out of cement for his building project in the village and
that he should send additional money. He agrees to send some money first thing
on Monday morning. You drop the phone and join the mob on the street calling
for the destruction of the zoo – he same zoo that is sustaining you brother,
his family, you, your family and your mama?
As we all continue to fall in love with these seductive whispers
of war, here is my advice: Forget about your warmongers go and read about
Burundi and Rwanda. If you cannot read, go and watch the movie Hotel Rwanda, so
you can learn one or two things about brutal war and the real meaning of
genocide or ethnic cleansing.
Flashback: try and remember what happened in 1993 during the
last “Oso Abiola”. You all ran back to your enclave (surrounded by hostile
neighbors) abandoning all your businesses and properties in the zoo. So, when the
drum of war starts to beat again, where will you be? In a refugee camp in
Cameroon, Togo, Ghana or Benin Republic?
I have stepped forward, raised my right hand and I will not run
nor hide. Until I am confronted with a superior argument on why a people that
have spread their tentacles and taproots across Nigeria are the same people
going around and promoting hatred and cultural mistrust, I will never stop
writing. All I know and care about is that I am standing straight. So, I need
not worry about my crooked and odd shadow.
I am sure a lot of people are
thinking does Ipob or Massob have
plan "B"?? Is it only noise on facebook?? This is the question you
find in the heart of every core Biafran. I want to state this very clear they
have already declared full war on Niger Delta avenger and they will continue to
systematically kill us like chickens through their Fulani herdsmen and their Boko
Haram turned army. You will ask me what is the way forward and my answer will
still remain it is either we fight back or we stay mute because a coward always
have two options either he face the challenge with all his might and win or
keep quiet to avoid trouble if we don't want to beg for our life or beg them to
stop killing us let us all assemble our weapons however crude or sophisticated
it will be let the us defend our land.
The best form of defence is attack and we don't expect our Israel
brothers to come and fight when we don't even have a frontier force we start
this now and see the world giving us attention and dividing this fraud with
immediate effect. I don't preach war but we all know Biafrans are under attack
even the blind can see it but the so called world powers kept silent because
they are gaining something from Nigeria Americans won't fight for us but they
can choose not to fight against us. I hate it when we nurse this belief of
peaceful disintegration.
No country no matter how peace loving will divide peacefully no
amount of international pressure mounted on this present day fraud will make
the zoo to let Biafrans go peacefully. The sooner we give them what the want
(fight) the sooner we get our freedom i still stand with my word that says
FREEDOM IS NOT GIVEN IT IS TAKEN take it or live it, Britain itself can not
tell Nigeria to break up and Buhari will listen because all northerners have
been brainwashed that we Biafrans are cowards that can't fight back instead
they will give our top officials money and they will help them to hunt us down
please my fellow Biafrans to prove at least that we are not cowards!! To prove
that we are not infidels!! To prove that we are Lions we need to give them what
they are asking for.
LIONS don't eat grass but
here in nigeria for peace sake we take a lot of bull shit. Are we more Christian
than Israelites?? We have to borrow a chapter from the bible it said and i read
Mathew 11:12 SINCE THE DAY OF OJUKWU THE FREEDOM OF BIAFRA SUFFERETH VIOLENT
AND ONLY THE VIOLENT TAKES IT BY FORCE if we are not prepared to go violent
this people will not know that we are lions they will still be seeing us as
their infidels that they can give a token from the many they stole from us and
we will keep quiet and follow them.
What am saying is simple "the best way to start is to
start" i don't like violence but every lion must kill to eat no matter how
peaceful the lion may appear. Lovers of freedom please it is time strike them
real hard Nigeria army are not and can not fight Biafrans the only thing they
are perfect in is shooting at unarmed protesters and raping women and raiding
peoples pot (gbaramatu kingdom in mind) protest has giving us international
recognition and what we need now is to eliminate any governor kill them if need
be bring our own Biafra leaders to take over if the Nigeria government says
they are not happy with that let them bring their leprosy soldiers let's teach
them how to fight like men. I still maintain FREEDOM IS NOT GIVEN IT IS TAKEN.
GOD BLESS UNITED STATES OF BIAFRA
Nnamdi Kanu, Radio Biafra
Kanu was born in Isiama Afara, Abia State, Nigeria. His father
is HRM Eze Israel Okwu Kanu (JP) and his mother is Ugoeze Nnenne Kanu. He
attended Library Avenue Primary School (now part of Government House, Umuahia)
and went to Government College for his secondary education. He later gained
admission to the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), where he could not finish
due to incessant strikes before he left for London to complete his tertiary
education. On October 19, 2015, it was reported that Mr Kanu had been granted
bail after a secret arraignment at Magistrate Court,Wuse 11.[10] However, the
bail seemed "controversial" and there were claims the DSS announced
the bail only "to calm the angry people of Biafra".
Although the bail conditions were stringent some of which
required the Certificate of Occupancy of a landed property within Abuja
municipality, a level 16 officer in the Ministry, Mr Kanu's lawyer said they
eventually met the requirements in full. However, “upon the issuance of the
Form 36,the court ordeal went to execute the order but came back unsuccessful.
He was unable to produce the prisoner.
The lawyer, Vincent Obetta, called the continued detention of
the activist despite meeting his bail conditions "a clash between
judiciary and executive" in a democratic Nigeria. According to Mr Obetta,
"I have not seen or heard any place where a court grants bail and the
person is not released. Under UN and Africa charter, it is enshrined that once
bail is granted, you release the person upon meeting the bail conditions. We
are sliding to days of Decree 2 and 4 of 1984. This is pure Dictatorship.”
A Conservative minister said the British consular officials will
visit Mr Kanu following enquiry from the activist's constituency MP, Harriet
Harman. James Duddridge, Minister for Africa and the Caribbean confirmed that
Kanu, had been visited earlier by members of the Foreign and Commonwealth
Office but that he did not ask for British consular assistance

NOTHING LIKE SOUTHSOUTH/SOUTHEAST,
NOW ONE
AND UNITED PEOPLE----PETER OBI

NOTHING
LIKE SOUTHSOUTH/SOUTHEAST NOW ONE
AND
UNITED PEOPLE-PETER OBI
By Chima Onyekachi and Ifeanyi Chijioke
For Family Writers
The former
governor of Anambra state Mr. Peter Obi while addressing Chima Onyekachi and
Ifeanyi Chijioke of Family Writers noted that there is now nothing like
Southsouth and Southeast, he posited that it is now one region. He spoke
in Enugu, during the 17th anniversary of Igbo Youth Movement led by Evang.
Elliot Uko.
The Igbo Youth Movement honored Mazi Nnaamdi Kanu with the award of great
liberator for steadfastly and resolutely destroying falsehood with the power of
truth. This is the first time in history such award has been given. Mazi Nnamdi
Kanu despite being unlawfully incarcerated keeps scooping awards and revered.
Muhammadu Buhari came under staunch criticism for refusing to release Nnamdi
Kanu against court orders.
Recall that the major mission of radio Biafra was to unite the people of Biafra
and end division that made the state of Biafra minority after it was forcefully
re-annexed. There is no gainsaying to the fact that there is divide and rule
which narrowed the impact of Biafra. Southsouth became a minority while
southeast also was and hence making once united region ineffective in the
Lugardian establishment.
Unknowingly reacting to the award received by Nnamdi Kanu, Peter Obi shared
Nnamdi Kanu’s ideology and mission by finally succumbing to the feat and
liberation done by Nnamdi Kanu. Speaking after the event, he said “There is
nothing like southsouth and southeast, we are now one, everything is over, and
our position in the last election showed indeed that we are one. We have conquered
everything”
Evang. Elliot Uko and
Family Writers
|
Meanwhile he declined to give Nnamdi Kanu
the credit for liberating and destroying the divide and rule strategy of over
65years. He explained and lobbied for true federalism which he said is the only
solution to the present Nigeria. While others shared that releasing Nnamdi Kanu
is the beginning of true federalism. He posited that if cost of governance can
be narrowed down, governors will be able to pay their workers.
However when pressed further to speak on the murderous
approach or handling of unarmed and peaceful Biafran youths in Anambra state,
he declined comment and ushered Family writers to Evang. Elliot Uko and both
declined to speak. Reacting to the development, a top official who came to the
event told Family writers “ They won’t talk because the killing is too much; it
is starting to touch conscience, even the murderers are beginning to be
sympathetic” he spoke and pleaded that his name should not be in print.
Recall that Anambra state has recorded gross violation of human right of the people
of Biafra under the care of Willie Obiano. The state had backed the military in
recent killing where it said Biafran youths were criminals to have remembered
their fallen heroes without police permission. A statement some leading human
right bodies defined as reckless and irresponsible.
‘For Peter Obi to openly tell you today that there is nothing like southsouth
and southeast, then it is plain that Nnamdi Kanu has even liberated the leaders
and politicians in Biafra land” Mr Johnson said while reacting to Obi’s
comment. On the same note, members of Igbo Youth Movement who spoke to Chima
Onyekachi and Ifeanyi Chijioke of Family Writers said “We awarded Nnamdi Kanu
because everything he said is coming to reality. Nigeria arrested him because
of truth and we appreciate him for liberating us”
BRITISH
BORN HAROLD SMITH CONFESSED
& APOLOGIZED FOR MANIPULATING PRE-
INDEPENDENT CENSUS AND ELECTION TO
FAVOUR NORTH.
The man
Harold Smith is not new in Nigerian
history. He is one of the architects of colonial foundation that midwife Nigerian independence in 1960.
I met him
in a meeting three weeks ago where he opened up a bit about the lingering problem in Africa especially; Nigeria
unbalanced protracted social political
situations. We asked if he could make this known to the media. His response was “I am in my 80s now; I have agreed but in the past ‘they’ did not want me to
say anything, but now I don’t want
to go to my grave without telling
the truth about the atrocities perpetrated
in Africa by the colonialists.
Brothers and sisters; on Ben TV London last
Thursday, Harold Smith was on a program
to reveal what went behind the
scene before the independence.
The Oxford
University graduate had this to say about his role in Nigeria preand
after independence era. ‘Our agenda was to completely exploit Africa. Nigeria was my duty post. When we assessed Nigeria, this was what we found in the southern region; strength, intelligence,
determination to succeed, well established
history, complex but
focused life style, great hope and
aspirations… the East is good in business and technology, the west is good in administration and commerce, law and medicine,
but it was a pity we planned our
agenda to give power “atall cost” to the Northerns.
They
seemed to be submissive and
silly of a kind. Our mission was accomplished by destroying the opposition at all
fronts. The West led in the fight
for the independence, and was
punished for asking for freedom. They
will not rule Nigeria! Harold
Smith confessed that the Census results
were announced before they were counted. Despite seeing vast land with no human but cattle in the North, we still gave the North 55 million instead of 32 Million. This was to be used to maintain their majority votes
and future power bid. He stated that
the West without Lagos was the
most populous in Nigeria at that
time but we ignored that. The
North was seriously encouraged to go
into the military.
According
to him, they believe that the South may attend western education, but future leaders will always come from military background. Their traditional rulers were to be made influential and super human.
The Northerns were given accelerated
promotions both in the military and civil service to justify their superiority over the South.
Everything was to work against the South. We
truncated their good plan for
their future. “I was very sorry
for the A.G; it was a great party
too much for African standard.
We planned
to destroy Awolowo and Azikwe well, the West and the East and
sowed a seed of discord among
them”. We tricked Azikwe into accepting to be president having known that Balewa will be the main man with power. Awolowo has to go to jail to
cripple his genius plans for a
greater Nigeria. However, Harold
Smith justified the British agenda
of colonialism in Nigeria, which
he believed was originally to help
build Africa after the ruins of slave trade, but lamented that the British
only looked after themselves and
not after Nigerian interest.
The
British really let Nigeria down. When I see Nigerian been accused of fraud and from
what I saw on the streets of Lagos; the
British were worst fraudsters. Looking
at the Northern leaders now he said, “If
they have any agenda in Nigeria at all, sadly it
is only for the North, and nothing
for Nigeria.
He stated
that the British look after the
British people and this is so all over the
world. He said the time has come now to see people of intelligent minds with
an open and inclusive agenda for all
Nigerians in power…people who will
really look after Nigeria's large population…but
”I still curiously and sorrowfully
see now that the British has not
let go of Nigeria…her wealth, her
potentials, her future. He opined that
the Caucasian people now assert themselves
as the keeper of the “New Age”
keys. He therefore said that it is only logical for Europeans to maintain
their position of power, scientific superiority, economic exploitation, they must continue to perpetuate their lies and falsehoods and this is the most unkindest cut of all
in relation to Nigeria situation!
According
to him, Nigeria, a great nation was crippled not because of military juntas or corrupt leaders alone
but by the British and American fear of Nigeria
great future. He confessed, “The
fear of the place that will be our
‘dumping ground’ really
occupied our minds”. Some of the things he said were not new to Nigerians
or to the whole world but hearing
it from the horse’s mouth is quite
revealing and established more
reality zones.
He finally submitted that
the colonial masters have caused
havoc while they were in Africa, and planted timed bombs when they finally left. What we see since independence, the administration of new internal colonial masters by fellow Nigerians holding sway in power is doing more damage to Nigeria.
Instead of detonating the time bombs
planted by the British, the North is
planting mines.
He added
that "It was my duty to carry
out all of the above and I was loyal to my
country. Nigerians should try to be loyal
to their country leaders and followers
alike. Love your country. You have
got the potentials to be great again
and the whole world knows this" I am sorry for the above evil done to Nigeria.
OPEN LETTER TO GOVERNOR
ROCHAS OKOROCHA.
Dear
Sir,
It is
with a very heavy and bitter heart that I write to you.
This is a letter that has tarried in coming but long overdue.
I'm afraid I have to speak to you very bluntly and succinctly, as I am not
given to certain lexical embellishments, especially when addressing those who
have no regard for their constituents.
Sir, I
must put it to you that from genesis, you had no developmental plans for Imo
state.
You are a businessman, a smart businessman who saw an opportunity in 2011, when
could not under Ikedi Ohakim zeal to develop Imo for good.
You capitalized on that opportunity, aided by your kwashiokored philanthropic
free education given to a selected few.
You were a master orator who mesmerized the hearts of most Imolites, especially
the villagers and undergraduates.
You made empty promises while in your dark, inhuman heart, you had a sinister
agenda!!!
FAST
FORWARD TO 2016, 5 YEARS LATER!
___Imo
sate, in these few months has recorded the highest number of protests! This
time on weekly basis!
On February 10, the NLC from the 36 states of the federation held protest,
shutting down Sam Mbakwe Airport, protesting the suspension of workers from 19
parastatals of the state and salary cuts.
___Newly employed teachers protested over unpaid salary for 6 months!
Why employ fresh teachers when you're busy slashing salaries, owing salaries
and retrenching workers?
___Just recently, IMSU students protested over prolonged strike by their lecturers
who embarked on a strike over 30 percent slash of their salaries.
The students numbering over 2000 were dispersed by your police stooges with
pepper spray.
___Doctors are owed over 4 to 5 months salary.
___Teachers are being owed salaries for 13 months!!!
___The most heartbreaking for me is owing old and fragile men and women their
pensions, thus making them protest.
Some even collapsed in their bid to remind you that you are sitting on their
sweat and selfless service and feeding fat on them!!
(I'll make a separate post for this!)
___You keep demolishing buildings without plans. It is visible to the blind and
audible to the deaf that most of these demolitions are witch-hunting.
___Now, you're on a pet project, one that will be calamitous to the lives of
Imolites!!
You build bridges with 6 inch blocks!!!
___No roads!!! Not a sound one!!
Your
government is a total disaster and a failure of epic proportions!!
More unbearable is that you are the chief architect of your people's misery.
You are the catalyst to what will ultimately be the cataclysmic deluge that
will characterize your descent!!
If I may ask, what happened to the bailout funds given to you?
You claim Imo state is broke, yet you had the money to buy a Christmas tree for
over N600 million!
Imo state is broke, but you have enough resources to host muslims to feast
after Ramadan fast.
Imo state is broke, yet Imo state has the capacity to host football matches.
Why do I have strong premonition that perhaps, the motive behind your desire to
relocate the Eke Ukwu market to an uncompleted site, is because of your
legendary, insatiable, gluttony for land.....?
Why is Ama Awusa not being relocated too?
(Just thinking aloud sir).
It is not a hidden fact that it is a government of family, by the family and
for the family!!
The
greatest slap to the faces of Imolites came in two phases.....
First, was your backing Fulanis in your state and approving of the grazing bill
to the detriment of the lives of your people, who are being slaughtered most
barbarically by the same people, in the name of cattle rearing!!
Why should the government meddle in a private business?
The second is your move to establish a college in Bauchi state in commemoration
of their 40 years as a state, while you claim that the state coffers cannot pay
civil servants!!
I find it inhuman and insensitive that in your priorities, the people whose
mandate kept you on seat are being relegated to the background and considered
irrelevant!!
You are an Igbo man from Ideato South.
You will never be a northerner, but you will be like the leprous general, who
despite his wealth and influence was avoided by his kinsmen.
You,
dear Sir have left your footprints on the sands of time!!
Posterity will judge you!!!
Imo must
be in the hands of God to be better for in God we always trust.
Greed, envy of the elite and Politicians of
the East
and the rising of Nnamdi Kanu
I will start these essay with the meanings of greed and envy.
From Oxford dictionary greed is defined as A selfish
or excessive desire for more than is needed or deserved
We also have from same dictionary envy states "
To feel displeasure or hatred towards (Someone) for their good fortunes or
possessions.
I begin with the view in which the Eastern Politicians
and Elites have sold their people in numerous ways and now having a silent
unspoken jealousy for the leader of IndigenousPeople of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi
kanu. There is no true son of the East that does not know what have been going
on in the Eastern Nigeria since after the civil war till date.
The hatred of the east have started long enough before
the independence of Nigeria. And from my view let's be sincere, I don't see
Nigeria as a country that will survive a long time because the Country has
never for the on set have that spirit of nation hood, its more like a
"bitter sweet juice" In the sense that, we hate each other from time
and only pretending to love one another because of the crude oil money from the
east.
The Elite / Politicians have uncountable times failed
the people of the East, when i say East i mean the people of the old eastern
Nigeria which is recognized by the constitution of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria. I will mention only a few starting from Zik, we have Zik of Africa who
did little or nothing for his people more engulfed with ambition of being the
independence pioneer without putting several things into considerations, those
he championed the course having never deemed it fit to complete his burial
place. It lingered going to this present dispensation, those of these days are
bent on selling off the rights of their people for selfish interest, this
character which is rare in north and west more paramount in the East. And they
came across an uncompromised man like Nnamdi Kanu. Whom have refused all
selfish desires for the true and genuine liberation of his people Biafra they
became envious.
These Politicians and elites see the daily pain people
from the east suffer and go through daily in Nigeria, the question what have
they done to address it? The Fulani has massacred the cowardly govs declared
prayers and fasting, while we all sees what the Ekiti state governor did as
regards herdsmen or is it because Biafra issue is on the main stream discussion
courtesy of Nnamdi Kanu , every body is jumping up to key in to it for their
selfish interest not for the total liberation of the people of the East.
Coming down to the east there is no good road in
eastern Nigeria, east-west road bad, onitsha - enugu bad, enugu - portharcourt
bad, No good drinking water in bayelsea, onitsha and so on.
No good international airport functioning in the East,
I know some people will shout, run and compare the child's play airports in
enugu and portharcourt, in which embassy and consulate are not there,
"HAVING WONDERED THE REASON STELLA ODUAH WAS FOUGHT OUT OF MINISTER OF
AVIATION" she would addressed the matter but i continue
Thereby making the people of the East to depend on
Lagos or Abuja to be able to connect to the world that is one Nigeria for you!
Have the people of south south and south east ever questioned the reason why no
airports like Lagos or Abuja are not in the East? The same elders where there
when oil companies headquarters were moved to Lagos, what did they do? The
elders and politicians were there the whole oil blocks were shared among the
north what did they do?
The old eastern Nigeria was economically locked out
from the world, the sea ports in warri, portharcourt, calabar remain a shallow
seaport where big ships cant belt because the location chosen to construct the
port is shallow courtesy of Yoruba in other to keep Lagos booming, the
questions remains what have the elites, elders, politicians done to avert these
heinous crimes against the people of the East?
When we import the north and west are waiting as
custom officers to collect money each junction to the east, these people meant
to stay at airport, seaport and boundaries are now in all junction just because
you are from the East, what have the elders done? Does it mean they don't see
these? Should we say they are scared and foolish?
Now comes a man who is courageous, brave and strong
hearted, destined to lead his people out of slavery, these same politicians are
rallying round to see who will be the first to be able to stop the biafra
movement u can imagine?? These men are obviously not honorable, after their
personal pocket, greed and Don't have the people in their hearts and has become
envious of these young brave man. Some will say presidency will stop biafra,it
will be only a fool will buy that idea, even the last Biafran that ruled
Goodluck Jonthan was tormented out talk more of the igbo speaking Biafran. Okay
now we have seen what happened in edo, ondo states.. Lol i laugh in Spanish,
APC swamp it for those thinking Buhari can not win the 2019 elections are
dreaming, then i wonder how Rochas and Iwuanyanwu expect to win the presidency
against Buhari? You see the problem, these men are greedy, self centered not
honorable at all and envious of these young man that has positioned Nigeria to
her fall to disintegration.
Leaders becomes the love of the people if they could
understand the pains and Joy of the Commom man, that is whom Nnamdi Kanu is, he
understood the people and millions followed him.
Nnamdi Kanu came out bravery and opposed the raging
fire that is about to engulf the people of Eastern Nigeria, he stood up for
justice, he stood up against crimes, even unto death, he is ready to even die
that his people be free, what a man is he? His resilience is undoubtedly
doubted, his will power is unexplainable, what a special man, he is a true and
real freedom fighter. To be sincere the east (south south, south east) have
never had a man like this, believe it or not he is a hero.
Every one should be proud of him and rally around him
for freedom, the current dispensation of Nigeria is anchored on the slavery of
the east, it is our duty to untie ourselves.
Pay less attention to the politicians and some elites
they are after their pockets and deeply envious of the man Nnamdikanu instead
of genuinely seeking the freedom of their people in slavery (Biafra)
