Kogi, suspect confesses— 7th
May 2016
KOGI State Police Command now has in its custody, one of the suspected herdsmen who participated in the recent massacre of more than 48 persons in Nimbo community, Uzo- Uwani local government area of Enugu state.
Saturday Sun gathered that the suspect simply
identified as Mohammed Zure was initially arrested by the police because of
his connection with some suspected kidnappers in the state.
According to a reliable source in the state
command, Mohammed was granted bail after the prime suspect in the kidnap case
for which he was nabbed was arrested.
“He was granted bail and because he needed
someone to take him on bail, the investigating officer decided to switch on
his phone. Out of curiosity, he decided to go through the content of the phone.
It was in the process that he discovered horrible video clips of a murder
scene.
“Everything changed immediately and he was
taken back to the interrogation room. He later confessed that he was the one
who took the video while they were slaughtering one of the victims during the
Enugu killings. In the video, you could hear him shouting and saying in Hausa
‘I have killed you now. You think that you can kill Fulani herdsmen and go
free’.
He personally took the picture to show his
family members that he was actually successful and participated in the
killings”, the police source stated.
According to the source, Mohammed confessed
that they were more than 100 Fulani herdsmen who came for the attack.
“He
confessed that they were more than 100 and were selected from different
states especially from Taraba , Kogi, Benue, Nasarrawa , Kastina , Niger and
Kaduna states. He claimed that the people of Nimbo had killed so many of their
people in the past and government did not do anything about it. He claimed that
they also reported severally to Nimbo elders but they refused to investigate,
that was why they decided to retaliate.”

Excerpts:
What are your reflections on the state of the economy today especially in view of the lack of fuel and almost zero power supply?
I do not talk much now because there is nothing
to talk about. The state of the economy is a comprehensive failure. There is no
power, no petrol and in some places, there is no water. Never have we had it so
bad. In all the life of Nigeria, it has never been this bad. This is not a
matter of criticizing the government. Everybody including supporters of the All
Progressives Congress (APC) agree that things are bad. The President does not
seem to have some conscience by doing certain things against some people. He
does it without thinking back as if there are some people that should be
suppressed and some people who are above the law.
Let me tell you what is happening now. Now, I am in Awka where young students decided to launch a book on the vision of our heroes past. They decided to use Odumegwu Ojukwu’s name in the launching. Some boys ago met me to play a role in the launching after I went to the University of Calabar to attend a very beautiful conference where Maitama Sule, Ken Nnamani, Ibrahim Mantu and others were in attendance. The same students organized something at the Women Development Centre, Awka. But as I arrived Awka at night, I started hearing that the Department of State Service (DSS) was discouraging the event in Awka. Already, the students had paid the money for using the Women Development Centre. When I arrived at Night, I went straight to the governor, Dr Willie Obiano but the governor was not in town.
I was only able to get through to the Chief of Staff and I asked him why some people would be treated this way; why the president continues to treat the South East as if he wants them to leave Nigeria, I do not know. Some of us are forced to ask that question. Nigeria is not Buhari and Buhari is not Nigeria. I went to the state commissioner of Police in Anambra and discussed the issue with him and of course, it was not his business but it is part of it because if there is violence, he would be involved in controlling it. But there can be no violence because the people are so peaceful; nobody was carrying gun or weapon and there was nothing in the launching that is against the government.
I went to look for the state Director of SSS but I could not find him that night. I met some small, younger officers but the Anambra Police commissioner was kind enough to send me the telephone number of the state Director of SSS whom I talked to. I explained all the circumstances and how peaceful everything was and I discovered that I was one of the problems. Those who talked to the young boys told them that they did not like me and Pat Utomi playing a role in the launching. I called the Director of SSS and he told me that the directive was from Abuja, that it was a directive from above and there was nothing he could do. He said that I should talk to the DSS in Abuja and I knew that they all travelled with the president. I tried to reach the operating officer and his telephone would ring and he would not answer. This is what is called humiliation in a very dehumanizing way.

If
the launching was in praise of Ojukwu, what could be wrong in praising him in
Anambra State. This is what I am talking about. You would look at the situation
and you wonder that people who have no business of carrying AK-47, carry the
weapons and saying that they are taking care of cattles. And the DSS told a lie
against Abia State, a lie that could cause ethnic crisis in the country. There
is no investigation on that. They did not go to the police; they just went out
and accused the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Five people were involved
in the kidnapping and two Igbos were involved and they said IPOB buried people.
I do not know what is happening. We should not talk with bitterness too much.
It is now time to plead with Buhari and his own people who support him(they are
not supporting him now anyway) to give Nigeria a chance. When you have a piece
of broom in your hands, you may not appreciate it until you throw it away.
Nigeria is so blessed and there is no going anywhere for anybody in this
nation. Justice can be done and why can’t justice be done. Who is losing? Every
section of Nigeria prays for one Nigeria.
Nigeria would work if you respect equity and justice. This is a very serious matter and it is ongoing. Do you know that even the person who wrote the book I am talking about was invited by the SSS. This show of hatred shows that you despise a people. It is a show of not caring, and saying you could go to hell. But pushing the South East out of Nigeria would not work. God would take care because there is God in heaven.
Now, there is no way Buhari would look at Nigeria and say he is doing well when people are suffering everywhere. I heard that a Fulani person killed another Fulani person for praising Buhari. Everybody is suffering in the country today and he must now listen. The worst mistake he made is appointing only his own people and he is still favouring them up till today. I believe that the failure of Buhari has been so grotesque, and so multi-dimensional that he should say to people, give me ideas. He should ask how do I leave Nigeria better than I met it. How do I stop this system that some people think I am dehumanizing them.
How do I stop this apparent preference for the Fulani without control? How do I deal with the issue of the economy? How do I appeal to everybody like he said during his inauguration that ‘I belong to nobody and I belong to everybody’. And I started performing as if I belong to Daura and not even Katsina, the state he comes from and saying other people should go to hell. I think that things would change and I tell you, when things change, if Buhari listens to people, he would have a good time. This is because if in six months, things become very rosy, all the sufferings of the past would be forgotten. What he should do is to listen to those who would tell him the truth. Imagine that somebody had the guts to ask Kachikwu of the NNPC to resign. He is one of the best brains that Nigeria has ever produced. Not everybody has a conscience. Some people could talk anyway he likes. My major worry is that the nation’s economy is going down the drain. One more thing I have to say is that Buhari has threatened the people of the South South who have been tampering with oil facilities that he would treat them like Boko Haram. Let me through you appeal to the people of the Niger Delta to cool off. What Buhari said he would do, he would do more than that. This is because the Niger Deltans are not among the preferred people. That statement by Buhari, I want the Niger Delta people to heed it and not go further because to destroy is very easy.
But the unfortunate thing is that the economy has crashed. Your naira crashed to N400 to one dollar. Your stock market has fallen woefully. Every indicator of economic growth is in the abyss. The economy collapsed in a short time from what it was when the president took over. But the issue is, out of love for Nigeria, I can give the president some ideas in areas where I have competence. This is because this is our country. We are praying for Buhari but the way things are in Nigeria today, I can only say that ‘God dey’.

WHY ANY GRAZING BILL MUST BE STOPPED:-
The story is told of how King Yunfa, the Hausa
Sarkin in Gobir (now called Sokoto) hosted a Fulani immigrant called Usman Dan
Fodiyo and his group in February 1804, as a result of this and since 1808 the
whole of the northern region lost its kingdoms and were replaced by Fulani
emirates.
King Yunfa is said to have been killed in 1808
and the Fulani warrior (Usman Dan Fodiyo) established Sokoto caliphate, making
himself Sultan.
Gradually, other Hausa kingdoms were pillaged
and taken over by the Fulani emirs. The ethnic groups in the core north were
the first victims of Fulani imperialism, a venture that occurred because the
people were given access to grazing land as a result of the hospitality of the
hosts.
They however failed to overrun the Bornu
kingdom, so the Shehu of Bornu remains paramount till today!
The Afonja dynasty compromised by allowing a
Fulani warrior known as Janta Alimi to settle in Ilorin, the Fulani guerrillas
killed Afonja in 1824
And Ilorin, a Yoruba town under the Oyo
empire, fell into Fulani hands, becoming an emirate under Sokoto caliphate till
today! Even the attempts of the O'odua People's Congress (OPC) to revert to
status quo ante and crown an Onilorin of Ilorin became an exercise in futility.
The Yoruba warriors got wise and defeated the
Fulani jihadists in Osogbo in 1840, if this didn't happen there would most
likely have been Fulani "emirs" as rulers in Oyo Alaafin, Ibadan,
Owo, Osogbo, Ede, Ado, and Igede Ekiti today!
If the Bini Kingdom did not fight and repel
the jihadists, they would have penetrated the Edo/Delta region beyond the
present day Edo North Senatorial District which gave in and allowed the
jihadists to overrun & islamize them.
Along with some ignorant folk most of them are
now angling for grazing areas and a corridor through the entire federation.
These grazing areas will in future become Fulani settlements, later communities
and finally local government areas with elected officials.
If you think I am being alarmist look towards the once beautiful and serene Middle Belt state of Plateau.
If you think I am being alarmist look towards the once beautiful and serene Middle Belt state of Plateau.
The exact same thing happened in Jos.
Therefore, it will not be farfetched to
conclude that the Fulani herdsmen are pawns in an agenda to overrun all towns
in Nigeria! So that we will have emirs in Owerri, Enugu, Benin, Agatu, Abeokuta
and other towns where FG creates "grazing reserves" for Fulani
herdsmen!
If Yunfa didn't accommodate Fodio and his
warlike immigrants from Futatoro, Hausa sarkins would be ruling today in the
north!
And if Afonja didn't conspire with Alimi, a
Yoruba kingdom would not have been ruled by Alimi's offspring till today!
It is a subtle continuation of the 1804 Fulani
jihad by the fully-armed and protected Fulani herdsmen with an age-old agenda
to overrun and Islamize the whole of Nigeria very quickly.
I will end this with what someone rightly
said- "The grazing bill is not an attempt to solve the problem, it's a
subterfuge to progress the agenda"
It's an age-old political strategy really-
..create a problem, come up with a "solution" that advances the
cause, and then give it a legal backing.
Make it look like a win-win situation.
Make it look like a win-win situation.

"Even When Four Of Us Were
Killed In Abia,We Didn't Launch Attack Because... - IMO State Fulani Leader
The
Imo State Commissioner of Police, Taiwo
Lakanu, on Thursday took a tour of duty
to Okigwe Local Government Area of the
state, where he preached peaceful co- existence
between the indigenous people and
Hausa/Fulani in the area.
The visit, which took place at the Okigwe Area Command premises of the Nigeria Police Force was not unconnected with the recent alleged attack launched by the Hausa/Fulani herdsmen in Enugu. The visit to the area was said to be necessary because Okigwe is the home of herdsmen in the state.

Speaking,
the CP said his visit was preventive
sequel to the rumours making round
the state that the indigenes were planning
a reprisal on the Hausa/Fulani people
in the area. Lakanu’s speech was
interpreted to the Hausa/Fulani people
in their language by
the leader of the Hausa/Fulani community in Okigwe, Alhaji Bui Yaya.

The
state CP said there should not be any room
for any form of mayhem, especially when
Nigeria is currently passing a critical stage. He said, “There
is no time disparity and disunity in Nigeria
will be allowed to rear their heads not to
talk of this period. We shall not bring in
ethnic sentiment in Nigeria now.
“For
the fact that Hausa marry Igbo people
and vice visa, it is enough to bring in
lasting peace in Nigeria. I as the CP will not be alive in this state and allow it to happen.
“Imo State Police Command is ever ready to enforce all relevant laws to maintain our peace in the state and country at large. “We will not allow either indigenous people or the non-indigenes to breach peace in the state. No person or group of persons should take law in his/their hands. We shall not condone that.”
The State Police boss, however, preached understanding among the people while saying that the herdsmen in the area should not take their cows to where they would destroy people’s farm products and the people not to attack the herdsmen or kill their cows.

subsequently, gave out police hotline
numbers to the people and formed a
peace committee, which comprised of security
operatives, indigenes, Hausa/ Fulani
visitors, community leaders and traditional
rulers.
Reacting,
Alhaji Bui Yaya said that therehad not been anytime the Hausa/Fulani was planning for reprisal. “Even when four of our own were killed in Abia State, we did not launch back attack because of the way the governor and the police addressed us.” Yaya, who said that the people of the state were misinformed about their activities in the state, debunked the allegation that herdsmen in the area went about their business with rifles and machine guns. He
called on security operatives to look inwards
and that any herdsmen apprehended with
dangerous weapons or perfected any dastard
action should be dealt with.
Biafra lands are not for Grazing Reserve
Biafra lands are not for Grazing Reserve
There are no lands for grazing reserves in the
Southeast. Such a policy won't work here because we don't have enough lands for
ourselves. If they want to establish such things, they should do so in the
North, where they have several free lands. What we advocate is the
establishment of ranches across our state to be owned and managed by our own
people, not outsiders. That way, there will be no clashes and no
frictions...Why do I want to wait for someone to trek down from Maiduguri
before I can eat meat?
Buhari¡¡ WHY THE ENUGU
MASSACRE?
Buahri
is never a national leader, he's just the president of the northern muslims,
precisely, the fulanis. President muhammadu buhari's hatred for Ndigbo and
whatever that name represents has risen to a crescendo, and now has become
palpable that even the most foolish ass can feel it. The venom he had
percolated in his stomch through the aeon against the Igbos are now manifesting
and being superfluously dished out without measure to the Igbos, and to
whatever their interest is all about, both at home in the east, and far away in
the north. Making supplications, prayers, and intercessions for the people in
authority as admonished in the scripture is not the absence of criticisms and
vituperations against that people in authority whenever they begin to have a
penchant for evil; when they are totally bent on perpetrating and inflicting
pains and agonies upon the same people that are meant to be praying for them.
Buhari has not stayed up to a year in this presidential seat and we have lost
counts of of the innocent blood he has guzzled down his throat to keep whetting
his unsatiable appetite and thirst for innocent blood of the hapless ones.
For
buhari to have killed this much under one year of his chaotic and hunger
administration, what will happen by the time he would have finished his four
years tenure as the most clumsy and sluggish tortoise that led a race made of
champions. How many more will still die in the hand of this islamic bigot
Nigeria has as a president? How many more blood will still be spilt in the hand
of this sardonic and sadomasochismic personality we've got as a president?
Could it be me, could it be you, or relations that will still die in the hand
of this muslim chauvinistic president? God forbid! You will never know what it
means to loose a brother, sister, relation, or a friend in the hands of these
muhammadu buhari's trained men, who have graduated from boko haram to #fulaniAk47men. Why is buhari emotionally
hardened and arrogantly displaying this much callous indifference to the
suffering and the plights of Nigerians dying everyday from the menace of his
terrorist trained kinsmen called #hausafulaniherdsmen? A
president that lacks capacity and acumen to lead, and prefers doing things in
archaic and mediaeval ways, thinking that flimzy excuses and propaganda will
continue to buy him the loyalty of the populace and salvage the economy that's
already in a state of quagmire.
A president whose frailty and evil antecedents
were mistaken and covered up by some of the wonderful works done by his vice in
his previous administration. Why are the northerners so sadistic toward the
Igbos? Why is it that each time Igbo man is not hacked to death, the
northerners won't be happy? Why is it that when their businesses and properties
are not being destroyed the northerner will go mourning? Do they think they are
the only people that have the monopoly of killing, destroying, and maiming
others? Do they see others and non-muslims as worthless and not deserving to
live? Do they believe that the Igbos don't have power but only to complain?
There's a conspiracy in the land; there's danger, and evil lurking in the
corner, i can feel it, i can smell it. Really, there's a secret and evil agenda
being incubated by the north against the Igbos. Remember that immediately they
announced muhammadu buhari as the winner of Nigerian's 2015 general election,
after some weeks later, there were a sudden influx of the hausa fulanis into
the eastern parts of the nation. Now they have crept into every nook and cranny
of the eastern communities disguising as herdsmen with their Ak47 rifle. Their
guns and ammunitions are often transported to every part of the east by the
lorries they use in conveying their cow. Being that they are the same
hausa-fulanis that wear kaki as nigerian armies, and stand on every road
leading to the eastern parts of the country, how will they check the excesses
of their own brothers, or stop them from carrying out the orders given to them
by their instigators.
Buhari, why are you bent on killing the Igbos? Why the
Enugu massacre again? Why! Why! Why buhari? Buhari and the northern oligarchy;
buhari and his kinsmen, you have been pushing the Igbos so hard. The Igbos are
now closer to the wall, beware of the erruption when it will come. Buhari, you
so much believe in your evil and secret alliance with the islamic world to
islamize the southern parts of Nigeria at all cost. And you think and believe
you have started? You believe your first step is to send fear down their spine
right there in their own terretory through the boko harams you asked to change
their name as fulaniherdsmen? Then, you'll coerce your subjects to pass and
sign the national grazing bill; the ''islamization grazing bill'' Buhari
beware! Be warned! We're watching you very closely, we aren't dummy, neither
are we daft to perceive the cud you chew. "The bird that's flying in the
air, the people on ground are clearly seing its belly''
But buhari why, your
boys again? Why the Enugu massacre? Be mindful of this, that no innocent blood
of Igbo man, woman, child, or adult spilt that will go unpunished. Why will you
come to Igbo land, destroy their farmlands, crops, water; kidnap them for
ransom, rape them, maim, and massacre them at will? But buhari why the Enugu
massacre? Why? If it'll take you to look through glasses, to see clearly the writing
on the wall, i advise you to do exactly that because, it's the fool that will
say, he doesn't see the looming danger, even the blind can see it. But why the
massacre again? Enugu massacre, after the genocide of 1967-70, and the numerous
other ones years before then?¿ Buhari why the Enugu massacre again by your
trained men you armed to the teeth, the fulanis? But why these blood flowing in
Igboland again buhari? I'm sad, my heart bleads. I am never the same again. Why
buhari? why? Why this time again, THE ENUGU MASSACRE?

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state yesterday outlawed the bearing of sophisticated weapons like including AK-47 rifles by Fulani herdsmen; and ordered security agents to seize the cattle belonging to any herdsmen flouting the ban and prosecute the owners.
Addressing
a tripartite meeting of leaders of the Fulani community in the state, the
traditional rulers of agrarian communities and the state government to fashion
out a proactive response to the menace of herdsmen Thursday night at the
Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, Obiano said “I don’t want anybody to take laws into
their hands.
“That is
why we set up this committee and we have agreed that compensation should be
paid for any losses on either side. That is the way to co-exist in a
multi-ethnic anddiverse society. More impor tantly, we agreed at the Security
Council Meeting that we will not allow herdsmen to carry arms.
“That is
a clear directive fromAbuja. Herdsmen are not supposed to bear arms. Please, if
you see any herdsmen with AK-47, report them early to the police so that they
can be picked up. revealed that there were suspicious movements in some parts
of the state that were being carefully monitored to ensure that there was no
immediate threat to the security of the state.” “But these Fulani herdsmen that
carry AK-47 rifles are worrisome. We don’t want what happened in Enugu to
happen here but if the three options we are proposing fail, we are ready to
defend ourselves. We don’t want it to get to that point. We don’t want anything
to destroy the beautiful relationship that has existed between Igbos and
Fulanis and other Nigerian tribes. We want Anambra to be a shining example,” he
declared.

“We will make life unbearable for
Igbos like they are in Hell, and yet we won’t let them have their useless
Biafra because the whole of South is a conquered territory. We can never see
Yorubas as allies no matter how hard they try to please or serve us because
they are born traitors and infidels. Those slaves in the Middle Belt would
continue to be willing toos in our hands, and the day they attempt to raise
their heads, we will cut off their heads like weeds. I lack words to tell the
inconsequential and always crying Niger Delta because what we are waiting for
is for President Buhari to declare a state of emergency in Rivers, Bayelsa, and
Delta, then we will show them how to use power. ALSO READ Mikel is

masters. We will not stop killing you until we fully take over your land as a
conquered territory. This is not the time to mince words, this is not the time
to sugarcoat things, and this is not the time to be economical with the truth,
