Palm trees produces a lot, no part of palm tree is useless. Many years ago Malaysia Government came to Biafra Land and took palm trees. Today Malaysia is the highest producer of Palm Products in the World. Nigeria Government abandoned the tree because we are Biafrans.

students make mini bus from local materials
By Ebele Orakpo
The time for Nigeria to look
inwards is now. We have all the resources, both human and material, to be
great. To ensure that Nigeria is counted among automobile manufacturers in the
world, an industrialist, Mr. Innocent Chukwuma, chairman of Innoson Group of
Companies, took a bold step by investing in the Automobile sector.
The Innoson Vehicle
Manufacturing (IVM) Company has made Nigeria proud. Today, they design and
manufacture Hummer buses, Waste vans, Luxury buses, Hilux vans, Saloon cars,
Jeeps and so on in Nigeria and by Nigerians. Engineering students Following in Innoson’s
footsteps, seven final-year engineering students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University,
Awka, Anambra State, designed and constructed a mini bus from scratch with
locally sourced materials made specially to suit Nigeria’s topography and
climatic condition. “The bus was constructed from start to finish at the
University’s workshop, using all necessary design software and Computer-Aided
Design (CAD) tools. We constructed the chassis, down to every single part of
the mini bus,” said Callistus Ezeigwe, one of the seven.
The group, known as the
Autozik Group, was made up of six males and a female including Callistus
Ezeigwe, Victor Obinani, Ifeanyi Ezeanolue, Ogbu Ikenna, Fidelis Ominigbo,
Nnamdi Nwobodo and Chinaza Okoro, was supervised by the then Head of Mechanical
Engineering Department, Dr. C.H. Achebe. “We made the mini bus using mere hand
tools. This means we did all of the constructions and folding, with our hands,
since the university could not provide us with ground equipment, as used in
most automobile companies,” said Ezeugwu.
The mini bus which took about five months to complete, has a beautiful
finishing so that people find it difficult to believe it was made in Nigeria.
Ezeigwe said the aim was to construct a mini bus using locally sourced
materials, which is more durable and can better stand the test of time,
compared to other brands out there. “We named it Autobully,” said Obinani
Victor, explaining that the brand name, coined from the normal bullion van,
fits the shape of the mini bus. The challenge: There is no doubt that Nigeria
has talents but the challenge is how to tap harness them for the good of the
nation. These youths have been able to achieve this feat with no help from expatriates.
They have shown some sense of doggedness and proficiency and they must not be
allowed to be swept away by the tide of brain drain. Also in the same
institution, five final-year engineering students produced a Formula 1 car
(Racing car). They appealed to the government to invest in these youths and channel resources to the Automobile sector as they seek to diversify the economy. They also appealed to the public to buy made in Nigeria products to grow the Naira.

Biafra Made Shoes
Let's call him Ozodiegwu.

.
Ozo, as his peers call him, had gone to do something in a town close to the University town of Nsukka. As he stood somewhere close to a market, he was immediately approached by a Fulani-looking young man who polished shoes for a living. Nigerians call them "aboki" (whether they cut nails or shined shoes for a living). Ozo decided to allow the young man as he had already begun dusting his shoes even when he's yet to remove them. But then something scary happened...
.
When Aboki had bent down initially to shine the shoes, a card fell from his breast pocket. Aboki hadn't noticed something fell off but Ozo did. Ozo was a bit puzzled wondering how Aboki possessed such a sophisticated-looking personal effect. Was it ATM? Do they really use ATM cards? I've never seen Aboki shoe shiners and nail cutters/trimmers at any ATM machine all my life. Ozo wondered all that and more in a split of seconds.
.
Ozo bent down. While he picked the card, he alerted the Aboki that something fell off from him. In a flash of light, fiam, Aboki rushed the card and snatched it from Ozo, even before Ozo could raise up his head from the ground. From then on, Aboki's countenance changed. His friendliness was replaced with some officialness. He increased the speed with which he shined Ozo's shoes. Ozo watched him now with a deeper curiosity and thought a lot of things in consonance with the killings and threats of killings by Fulanis in Enugwu State and Southeast as a whole that have become the top on the list of what he teaches and discusses at the Political Science Department where he is a young professor.
.
Aboki rose up and collected his money and quickly zoomed off. Ozo watched him as he disappeared into the crowd at the market. Aboki didn't know Ozo had seen something on that card; just two letters. Two letters that sent his thoughts digging out histories, analyses, syntheses and antitheses.
.
The two letters: "M.I" (Military Intelligence). Ozo knew "M.I" was far deeper than just a Nigerian Military man. He had heard a news filtering town that a certain Catholic priest was stopped by Fulani killers as he drove to Onicha from Uzo-uwani sides. They didn't attack him. They simply gave him a message to deliver to a town not far from Nimbo. This was the message: "For any Alhaji killed by those people (in a reprisal), we shall claim 100 lives". Ozo was connecting certain pieces together.
.
Ndi b'anyi, Ndi Igbo, we are quietly at war!!! As it happened before, Enugwu State may be routed first. Every Igbo eye and hand must turn to Enugwu, especially around Nsukka areas. Don't wait till it goes beyond Nsukka areas, Ndi Igbo, don't wait!!!.

The works of
Emeka Nelson took the internet by storm in the last couple of days. Nigeria is
blessed with geniuses and Emeka’s story is just one out of millions, who are
working hard and tasking their brains for positive gains. The government needs
to create more enabling environments for these individuals to thrive.
Emeka Nelson
created an electricity generator powered by water. Also invented a machine he
named “MGBANWE C12” that turns non-biodegradable wastes like plastics,
waterproof nylon into petrol, kerosene, diesel and some other heavy oils and
interlocking stones.
