Old Eastern State Governors, Senators, House of Representative members, and other Federal and State Government Parastatal, who are you representing in these various offices in Nigeria?

I woke up early this morning with the thought of what is happening in Biafra land and it prompted me to ask these politicians what are they doing about the welfare of the people whose interests necessitated their being in those offices in Nigeria?

Anywhere else in civilized countries, politicians exist only for their people’s welfare; protecting the full interest of their people, and not the pursuit of their personal aggrandizement or using their peoples blood as money ritual. Protection of life and the interests of a people, warrants the existence of any given political institution, but the case is different with politicians of Old Eastern States and Nigeria in general.

They turn deaf ears to the whaling of their people and blind eyes to the suffering of their people; the people's life is worthless than a mould of shit, whereas their existence is of the people. These are servants who Lord it over their masters! When a politician prefers his or her life over the life of his or her people, that politician is diabolic, brutal and must have a penchant for doing evil. Instead of protecting the life and interests of your people from the dangers, roaming about in Nigeria, especially in Biafra land; you are vehemently supporting the murderous and monstrous Hausa –Fulanis. No sane man or woman would support the killing of his or her people. The silence of these politicians only pays credence to the fact that their consciences have been sold cheaply to the devil.

Politicians of Old Eastern States are now dancing the infamous "Surugedee" dance forgetting that it is a dance of demons. Your failures to be your people’s keeper have shown how dangerous you are. When you are nonchalant about the welfare of your people, it means that you have an evil disposition, and a dead conscience. A sane person will promptly wonder if we really have representatives, at all, in the Nigerian Government. There are no more distinct demarcation between the Government and the Bokoharam sect as they both compete on the number of people they kill on daily bases.

Moral, dignity and the fear of God is lacking in you all and your collective silence shall approve your collective doom. Where is that Spirit of brotherhood in you? Why keep silent on the killing of your people by the Nigerian armed forces? It is said that "good name is better than silver and gold". And the life you live today will testify against you tomorrow.

Again I am putting it to you that your riches and wealth will never save you on the days of God’s wrath. Blood of murdered Biafrans have voices: The blood will surely cry against you from heaven, no matter the seat of power you occupied or is presently occupying. And to every Biafran abroad, it is about time we consider coming back home and taking what rightfully belongs to us.

We must all think home. Turning a deaf ear to the plight of your people is tantamount to your been regarded as a traitor and betrayal; pursuing money without having total freedom is like pursuing shadows. You are like the proverbial man who is pursuing a rat, while his house is on fire.
Come home brothers and sisters, come home! Chukwu Okike Abiama is waiting for you…. Biafrans come home!! Biafrans come home!!!

The most dangerous aspect of money or power is the ability to making one kill his conscience. When your conscience is murdered then humanity is at risk; sometimes, loss of conscience can even make one deny everything sacred. Such is playing out, where because of money and power; a gang of insincere men have chosen to severe ancestry of a people. Our ancestors should not be joked with before they strike you down; let our ancestors be respected and avoid politics with them. Our ancestry remains a sacred root that must not be touched against all odds.

Ben Etaghene a man from Okpe Urhobo and another from Bini Edo called Paul Osuyi; staunch members of APC and also the pillar of Buhari in their respective places. These two men are not proper Anioma native; their origin is not Anioma; Okpe Urhobo and Bini Edo cannot rightly be Anioma and yet they have the audacity to speak for Anioma. On the other hand, Osita Mordi has shown the Biafran DNA by coming out to shun them. Yes the son of the soil has spoken constructively and he has vindicated the great people of Anioma.

On the side of Ifeanyi Okowa, the son of the soil that spoke made it clear that as someone elected under Nigerian government and under oath should not be expected to say things that will affect the government. He is a government and can’t shoot his leg with a pistol. So the comment of Okowa is politically motivated and we should learn to understand our people. Okowa is a Biafran and in many ways he could not deny himself and even when he established that anti-Biafra statement; he was shivering and it can be seen all over him.

I am not here to start all over again as Osita Mordi has done the job; Dr Clifford Iroanya of IPOB also did the job. I want to just wrap it up that we may end this lingering issue. It is advisable to bring to the knowledge of these improper or imposed Anioma representatives; the people cannot be represented or spoken for by men alien to the soil. Traditions forbid it and it will be at their own risk politicizing the gods (ancestors) by way of separating them from their umbilical cord. Let men be cautious of their utterances and positions that are not self-concerned; let the spirit not be dared in the name of politics.

If Anioma is not Biafra then it is either Oduduwa or Arewa and can never be any other thing. Nigeria is the amalgamation of three nations and any other tribe is parented by either Oduduwa, Arewa or Biafra. Hence these men are ready to tell us that Anioma is Arewa or Oduduwa and not Biafra, then they should quickly tell us how Okokon Ndem, Achuzia and Effiong became the leaders of Biafra. I can’t actually decipher what is wrong with the brain of those men; but let me leave the soil to hunt and correct them scoldingly.

When over 1000 Biafrans of Anioma extraction were killed in Benin City during the war; I believe to these men that have been disfigured by politics, the federal troops were killing Nigerians. I have asked myself several times; does Nigerians know who Anioma people are than Anioma know themselves? This shame and disgrace is becoming too much that we cannot bear anymore. If a political group can stand up to make unguarded statement at the risk of severing tradition, ancestry and everything; then it is important to ask; has politics also destroyed our tradition like church destroyed it?

Finally, if men can wake up for the sake of political gain to attempt to destroy or profane a sacred tradition; then what do they teach or pass on to our people and if our people will leave such men without cautioning them; then of what hope is the future of tradition in our land. We must not let some strange men rape our ancestors and separate us from our umbilical cord. The truth remains that in the end, the gods of the land will not only punish the actors but punish every single one of us that kept quiet without defending the gods. The ways of the gods are not ways of men.

What is the benefit that has approached Okrika from Nigeria or from Rivers State? The dullard has no plans to diversify d economy, otherwise he will be talking about agriculture, not oil exploration in d north east. same region currently being ravaged by Boko Haram. ONE NIGERIA THEY CLAMOUR FOR IS all about oil money, nothing more. imagine BUHARI saying he is committed to diversification of the nigerian economy, yet mass propaganda office got more allocation than agriculture.

This normally happens only in a zoo called NIGERIA. This man is really a curse to humanity, looking for oil in dried sahel desert Land that is only good for human skull and terrorism ,If true, then .I still don't get why this government is so much focused on oil.

This would have been the best and might be Nigeria's only chance to diversify and invest in other sectors of the economy, I have no doubt that the money used for the exploration would have done wonders in the agricultural sector; The fall of oil price has shattered NIGERIA economy and This old man is yet relying heavily on it.

The problem of this administration is that it lacks CREATIVITY and this is because some people who are at the helm of affairs didn't go to school to get their creative mind sharpen.

They need to get their priorities right, as this is a golden opportunity to do so, imagine where you have a commodity whose market value is on the all- time low and you are still looking for it like it's some hotcake. Who funds this ego-massaging venture that's merely meant to prove the north has oil? Who does? Instead of building industries and creating employment BUHARI is busy looking for oil, Where there is no light, no fuel, job losses, Fulani
killings and boko haram terrorism, dollar to naira is rising, he travels too often, investors fleeing the country, businesses are shutting down... refineries are in comatose

This is the best Buhari can come up with. buhari is giving hope to the hopeless almajiris. Buhari is crazy. Looking for Oil in a place full of all kinds of terrorists from Boko Haram to Al shabab. Who in their right minds is going to go to such a place to extract Oil even if Oil is found there? buhari dullard wants to use oil facilities in d north to give financial independence to boko haram. Crude oil is the only thing keeping this country together.
I pray they find oil and gas in the North. They can advocate for secession themselves. If the crude oil in the south south was originally in the North, I cant imagine how they would have treated other citizens. Maybe, they may have disintegrated a very long time ago. When the rest of the world are embracing renewable energy Buhari is trying to find oil in his backyard...

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reportedly hired relatives of top party leaders and government officials in a recent highly secretive recruitment process.

According to a document exclusively obtained by Sahara Reporters, no fewer than 91 relatives of influential Nigerians and top government officials were beneficiaries of the appointments considered as ‘peddling of influence’ which came to fore a few weeks ago.

Among them were a son of Mamman Daura, a nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, a daughter of former Vice President Abubakar Atiku, and one of the closest members of the president’s inner circle, a son of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, a daughter of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Na’aba, also daughter of of the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, a son of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Abdurahman Danbazzau and at least 86 others.

A top official of the bank CBN whose identity was withheld told Sahara Reporters that the Governor, Godwin Emefiele approved the appointments in his bid to retain his job amidst some serious threats of appointment termination by the current government.

It was gathered that Emefiele reportedly accused the Director of Human Resources, Chizoba Mojekwu, for being the brain behind the leak and thereafter, redeployed her as the bank’s Director of Capacity Development and IT.

A CBN source revealed that, in September 2015, Emefiele had hired Claire Arase, a daughter of Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.

Additionally, it was gathered that the apex bank went to great lengths in their illegal recruitment, including tweaking the names of recruits in order to hide the identities of beneficiaries of politically motivated recruitment.

Often the CBN used the beneficiaries’ first names and their father’s middle names to hide their real identities. For instance, the bank listed Maryam Atiku as “Maryam Abubakar.”

The bank had also reportedly used the name ‘Nagode Abdulrahman’, instead of Abdulrahman Dambazau, the real name of the son of Nigeria’s Minister of Interior. They also allegedly used the maiden names of the beneficiaries instead of their married names.

The appointments were considered illegal because of the bank’s failure to advertise the vacancies in order to allow interested and possibly more qualified Nigerians participate in the recruitment process.

Moreover, the bank’s “political” recruitment did not follow principles of federal character set out for employment by government agencies and other public institutions.

“Jobs were just handed to the children of ministers in the current administration,” one bank official stated. The source added that most of the new recruits were given opportunity to choose a department of their choice where they were posted.

The renewed agitation for the actuation of the republic of Biafra led to the shooting of unarmed pro-Biafran protesters in Aba, Abia State on 9 February this year.

Recall that over two million lives were lost during the Nigeria civil war between 1967 to 1970 on the demand for a Biafran state.

Members of Nigeria’s intelligence agency, the State Security Service (DSS), arrested Kanu—the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)—in October 2015 on charges including sedition and ethnic incitement.

The Nigerian government has previously tried to shut down Radio Biafra, an underground media outlet of which Kanu is director and which refers to Nigeria as a zoo and denigrates Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari in its broadcasts.

Kanu’s arrest has prompted thousands of people to demonstrate across southeast Nigeria, demanding the activist’s release and calling for independence for Biafra, which existed as a republic in southeast Nigeria between 1967 and 1970.

Kanu, who is in his 40s, has been described by IPOB members as “a legend in the making,” according to IBTimes U.K., and he has previously said that Biafra would be established “no matter what happens,” though the group has denied that their leader endorses violence.

Kanu’s trial is due to begin in the Nigerian capital Abuja on Tuesday on the back of a controversial period of detention. A federal high court in Abuja ruled in December that Kanu should be granted unconditional bail and released immediately, only for the Nigerian government to file new charges against Kanu, including treason. A Nigerian court ruled on January 29 that Kanu should be denied bail but transferred him from DSS custody to Kuje Prison in Abuja.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has rejected calls for Kanu to be released, describing the activist—who is based in the U.K. but frequently returns to Nigeria—as a flight risk. In his maiden presidential media chat on December 30, 2015, Buhari claimed that Kanu entered Nigeria without using a passport and had brought in broadcasting equipment to propagate Radio Biafra’s secessionist message in the country. “There is a treasonable felony against him and I hope the courts will listen to the case,” Buhari said.

Despite his ongoing detention, Kanu remains firm in his convictions. “Mr. Kanu is a very resilient gentleman. He is very fortified by what is happening and the fact that he believes in what he is fighting for, which is the restoration of Biafra,” says Nnorom.

The issue of Biafran independence is gaining traction outside of Nigeria. A group of Dutch lawyers filed a case against Buhari at the International Criminal Court in the Hague in January, demanding that the Nigerian president be investigated for allegedly overseeing the deaths of Biafran protesters at the hands of Nigerian security forces.

More than 20 protesters and two police officers have been killed in pro-Biafra protests since October 2015, AP reported, though Biafran activists claim the figure is much higher.

The matter was also raised with the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office by Labour MP Harriet Harman. Kanu, a dual British-Nigerian citizen, resides in Harman’s constituency of Camberwell & Peckham.

“An Igbo man sees the entire world as his village, while an Hausa man sees Kano as the Universe and a Yoruba man sees Lagos as his entire world. Nigeria is just too small to contain the Igbo man’s dreams, aspirations, industry, commerce and expertise. He needs a platform to rule and dominate the entire Universe which is Biafra.

He does not really need oil to survive since he does not work in the civil service, public service, or does he constitute the majority of politicians or government contractors but earnestly needs FREEDOM to control his destiny. His dominion is in the area of invention, creativity, industry, development, commerce and the provision of goods and services for the good of mankind and not religious, cultural or political dominion.

He has capacity to drive the world technologically like the US, the UK, Russia, France, Germany, China and Israel. An average Igbo man is far better than an average Yoruba or an average Hausa-Fulani: intellectually, economically and industrially, not withstanding his money that Awolowo stole to develop and empower Yoruba land, or his properties that Gowon destroyed and others he dashed out.

He carries the blessing of Abraham, Nigeria will remain cursed as she continues to curse and undermine him. The only way Nigeria will see light is by blessing and letting Biafra Go.

The blood of the Igbo man slaughtered by Hausa- Fulani, the blood of the pregnant Igbo woman whose womb was slit open to kill her and the unborn child by Hausa-Fulani, and the cry of the Igbo child starved to death by Yoruba will continue to speak against the Nigeria project.

Nigeria is doomed and under a curse, and therefore needs to make atonement, restitution and seek forgiveness from the Igbo man. Hausa-Fulani-Yoruba should bury their faces in shame, how would you explain why an entirely military affair as regards the 1966 coup led to the slaughter of millions of Igbos in Northern Nigeria.

What about the massacre of the Igbos in the bloody riots of Jos and Kano in 1945 and 1953 respectively in Northern Nigeria and the cycle of Igbo slaughter ever since then and now crowned by the Boko Haram insurgency. The plotters of the 1966 coup were not all Igbos. Even at that, Nzeogwu did not consult his kith and kin before embarking on the coup? Why should an ordinary Igbo man pay for what was clearly a military rebellion? Several officers of northern origin took part in Nigeria’s first military coup.

The “Igbo coup” tag attached to the assault ignores the fact that scores of northern officers took part in the Lagos operations, and even assisted Nzeogwu when he stormed the residence of the Northern Region’s premier: Ahmadu Bello. Nzeogwu was later to describe the detachment of troops accompanying him to Bello’s house as “a truly Nigerian gathering” (New Nigerian – 18th January 1966). Nzeogwu pointed out that the northern soldiers accompanying him “had the chance to drop out. More than that, they had bullets. They had been issued with bullets but I was unarmed. If they disagreed they could have shot me….most of the Other Ranks were Northerners but they followed”. Among the prominent northern soldiers that helped Nzeogwu to overthrow the Northern Region’s government was John Atom Kpera. Kpera later became the military governor of Benue State. Many of the soldiers that accompanied Major Ifeajuna when he abducted the Prime Minister: Tafawa Balewa, were also northerners. As much as Hausa-Fulani-Yoruba, not withstanding heavy grip on the Nigeria resources, civil service, public service, politics and government contracts etc., decide to remain backwards, being held back by their religion and culture, as much as the Igbo man continues to progress Abrahamically, fearlessly propelled by his culture and strengthened by repression and hash antagonistic economic policies, the hatred, jealousy and envy towards an Igbo man will have no bounds.

The Federal Character Policy – that allows mediocre to insult the talented and skilful – and the Educational Less Disadvantaged States policy – that allows dullard to sit in class with the exceptional gifted – are wrongly misapplied as an anti-Igbo policy and have ironically brought the beneficiaries further down and the Igbo man further ahead. How would you explain why 55 years of independence and operation of these policies some tribes still join the civil service, public service and politics with primary school certificates to debate and reason with professors and PhD holders from other tribes? Nnamdi Azikiwe joined politics with Ph.D, while Emeka Ojukwu and Chukwuma Nzeogwu joined the Army with Msc and Bsc respectively. What zoo is worse than a country where the ill-educated and mal-informed control the affairs of the well-educated and well-informed, where the non-talented and non-gifted control the affairs of the gifted and talented, the Igbo man is caged in Nigeria and unequally yoked with his neighbours, and desperately needs freedom?

The Igbo man is dominating the entire world and has left the Nigeria behind long ago. He is an all-round global player and seeks international jobs and offers across the world in the global contest, like in the United Nations organisations, the World Bank, the IMF, the Commonwealth, etc where he is appreciated and appraised. He is just not in tiny Lagos or Abuja, Kano, Kaduna etc, he is in every country of the world where he feels safe, secure and free, even in Arab nations, but never in Nigeria. You cannot hold an Igbo man down to catch up with him. Nnamdi Azikiwe was born in Zungeru in Niger State in 1904, so when did his father settle in the North? Emeka Ojukwu was also born in Zungeru in 1933. Chukwuma Nzeogwu was born in Kaduna in 1937.

The Igbo have cohabited with Hausa-Fulani-Yoruba for hundreds of years in their own land, yet he remains an easy prey for slaughter due to envy and jealousy. He is more Nigerian than every other Nigerian. He built Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, Port Harcourt, Abuja, etc because he is development-minded and sees the world, not just Nigeria, as his village – the reason he is hated, envied and killed. He needs Biafra so he could bring light, not just in Nigeria, but in the entire African continent, and frees Africa from mental slavery. The Igbo man has set new records in the US and in the UK in education, in science and in technology, if given the opportunity through Biafra, Africa will see light.

Newspaper vendors in Aba, are now living fear, as soldiers from 144 Battalion, which is under Ohafia 14 Brigade, stormed St. Michael’s Road at about 7am, in two Hilux vans and seized their papers bearing Biafra reports.

One of the vendor who spoke to The Nation, said; “At about some minutes past seven, soldiers in two Hilux vans arrived with one of the vendors that they picked along Mosque, asking him to point at the person who gave him the paper. But the vendor could not, because the person who gave him the paper had gone.

“They asked to know the publishers or suppliers but got no response. Then they confiscated New Republic, Vesym, Freedom Journal and some copies of The Authority, which carried Biafra stories. “We are yet to be told the reason for the confiscation, but the truth is that we have lost money as many readers were disappointed.”

A publisher, who pleaded for anonymity, condemned the action of the soldiers. He said they were overstepping their bounds and vowed that “attempts by the military to gag the press will fail. We are publishing reports about Biafra like other national dailies do. Let them close down all the media houses because they are carrying Biafra stories, after all, we are not the only ones publishing stories on Biafra.”

Media Officer of the 144 Brigade, Major Sydney Mbanefo could not be reached for comments but a source at 144 Battalion confirmed the seizure, saying it was due to the hate and inciting reports allegedly being published by the papers.

ENUGU—The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of breaching the 1999 Constitution, which he swore to protect by allegedly approving the killing of unarmed Igbo who were agitating for Biafran Republic. IPOB also frowned at the confiscation of newspapers that carried Biafran stories by armed soldiers in Aba, Abia State Tuesday, wondering what part of the constitution the publishers of the newspapers had infringed.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by Mr Emma Nmezu and Dr. Clifford Chukwuemeka Iroanya, who are spokespersons for IPOB yesterday. The statement read, “Retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari, the man who overthrew a democratically elected government in Nigeria on December 31, 1983 … has never hidden his orgy for the extermination of Biafrans. “Buhari was among the army officers who led the British-backed Nigerian military to massacre over two million Igbo at Owerri in 1968.

Since his forced entry into the presidency of Nigeria in May 2015, Buhari has supervised the massacre of Biafrans in their thousands. “When his government is not snuffing lives out of unarmed and peaceful Biafrans, he is incarcerating them and denying them access to basic information platforms. “Today (Tuesday) March 15, 2016, Buhari ordered his soldiers from 144 Battalion, Asa, Ukwa West Local Government Council, Abia state to seize newspapers that have captions or stories related to Biafra.

“We are wondering how much low and absurd Buhari could get just to show that he relishes killing Biafrans and intimidating those who are lucky not to have been felled by his gun-toting killer squads. “What does Buhari want to achieve by seizing newspapers that published Biafra stories? Which part of the 1999 Constitution is Buhari enforcing by this dastardly act? “Is Buhari aware that what he did today violates every aspect of Chapter IV of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria? Does Buhari know that what he did today (Tuesday) is in contravention of the Seventh Schedule of the 1999 Constitution and is a ground for impeachment? When will Buhari’s inspired (action) come to an end? “By confiscating newspapers, Buhari has taken this madness to another level. His despicable conduct today is another evidence that the International Criminal Court, ICT, shall consider when looking into the various crimes he has been committing. President Buhari has Condemned Rivers State Political Killings, Vows To Deal With Sponsors.

President Muhammadu Buhari has finally reacted to the political violence in Rivers state. Buhari, who is now in Malabo Equatorial Guinea, issued a statement through his media aide Femi Adesina saying that the killing of people over political differences was primitive, barbaric and unacceptable.

He said: “We will deal decisively with all sponsors of violence. I have given the security services clear directives in this regard. “We will show that violence in any form will no longer be tolerated before, during or after elections.”

President Buhari said that the electoral commission will be encouraged to discover the possibility of Nigerians abroad voting in the 2019 general elections. He stated that some African countries have commenced allowing their residents abroad to vote in national polls, adding that he fully sympathized with the desire of Nigerians in the diaspora to vote in polls.

Buhari vowed that he will therefore do all within his powers to fulfill that wish. “I want all Nigerians to know that I respect them and their right to choose their leaders,” the president said. The leader of the nation announced that his government’s main area of focus now was reducing the level of poverty in Nigeria.

The president added that developing the infrastructure needed to boost production in all sectors of the economy and create more jobs for young Nigerians, as well as other actions that will directly improve the living conditions of ordinary Nigerians will continue to be prioritized by his administration.

Alex Badeh arrives the courtroom

The trial of a former Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, Air Chief Marshal Alex S. Badeh, began on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, presenting its first witness, Air Commodore Salisu Abdullahi Yushau (retd) before Justice Okon E. Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Yushau, former director, finance/account (DFA), Nigerian Airforce between October 2010 and December 2013 told the court how Badeh allegedly took money to the tune of N3billion from the coffers of the Nigerian Air force to acquire properties in different parts of Abuja and Yola for himself and his family.

Led in evidence by the counsel to EFCC, Rotimi Jacobs, SAN, Yushau told the court that the accounts of the Nigerian Air force is being maintained under 3 main vote heads: Capital, Overhead and Personnel Emoluments.

The PW1 stated how personnel emoluments were released and when asked what the balance is used for, he told the court that a balance of over N1billion is usually left depending on the programmes executed within the month.

According to him, of the N1billion, the sum of N558,200,000 (five hundred and fifty eight million, two hundred thousand naira) is usually the amount earmarked for general administration for the office of the Chief of Air Staff.

Yushau told the court that the said amount is usually under the control of Chief of Air Staff . He added that, “the amount in most cases was usually converted into US dollars by the Finance Officer at Nigerian Air Force Headquarters, Abuja. Thereafter, it is brought to the Director of Finance who in turn takes it to the Air House which is the Official residence of Chief of Air Staff at the Niger Barracks.”

According to him, “no acknowledgement is given for such amounts, but he usually tells the Finance officer to meet him at the residence of the Chief of Air Staff so that he can see when it is being handed over.”

When asked about a property situated at No. 6 Ogun River Street, Off Danube Street, Maitama, Abuja, Yushau told the court that, sometime in 2013, Badeh requested him to get someone to buy him a good house in Maitama where he could retire to.

The witness stated that he subsequently contacted a lawyer, named Usaini Umar who said he had three properties for inspection.

Eventually, he expressed preference for the property at Ogun Street valued at N1.1billion.

He added that, Badeh directed that payment should be made for the house in dollar.

He also told the court that Badeh directed that the document of the property be prepared in the name of the second defendant, Iyalikam Nigeria Limited.

Yushau who dwelt extensively on a number of properties linked to Badeh stated that the former Chief of Air Staff abused his office by converting to personal use monies removed from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force.

The matter has been adjourned to March 23, 2016 for continuation of trial.

Justice Abang had earlier refused the application of Badeh’s counsel, Samuel O. Zibiri, SAN, challenging the jurisdiction of the court and validity of the charge saying that the application would be heard at the end of the proceeding.

It would be recalled that Badeh among other things allegedly between January and December, 2013, used dollar equivalent of the sum of N1.4billion (One Billion, One Hundred Million Naira) removed from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force to purchase a mansion situated at No. 6, Ogun River Street, Off Danube Street, Maitama, Abuja.

The offence is in contravention of Section 15 (2) (d) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011 (as amended) and punishable under Section 15(3) of the same Act.

Alhaji Ringim, may I remind you that the economic prospects of the South South is currently being seized and controlled by your people of the Northern protectorate of Nigeria. Does that in anyway mean that you agree that your people have colonized my region? Are you also aware that even the oil wells in Abia State, Imo State and Anambra state and recently Enugu State (Igbo land) is being owned by your people in the Northern Protectorate? Are you aware that we in the oil rich region (South South) do not have control over our wealth, and its fortunes are determined by your people? Are you also aware that after sharing the proceeds of oil between your protégés in Shell, Mobil, Agip and Chevron, the left over is given to 44 local government of your state Kano, and only 8 Local government of Bayelsa? How more criminal could that be? Do you know that even when the Natural Gas from my State Akwa Ibom is used to generate power from my state owned Power Station, that the fraud of a constitution you fostered on my people does not allow me to use same electricity in my state or region, but I am forced to load it into the National grid that sends same power to your home in Kano State? Have you seen how the United Nigeria is enslaving me? Are you aware that the fraud of your constitution took away the economic prospects of my region by empowering only the Federal government to build roads that your people from the Northern protectorate never built in my state for over 40 years until the coming of our own Son Goodluck Jonathan, when he allowed state governments to tamper with Federal Roads, yet you were busy building all the so called federal roads in your region. That your fraud of a constitution imposed on us by you and your allies in the southwest took away the power from us to develop on the economic prospects of the region thereby taking away our rights to economic progress for over 50 years. And here you are sir getting worried of what the Igbos will do to my people. Sir have you been ever worried about what your people have done to my people? How many of my people have you killed in your region? Please tell me the number of my people slaughtered by the Igbos in their land that is enough for me to be weary of them. Remember that these are my neighbors that lived peacefully with us for centuries, shared cultures, intermarried and even celebrated common cultural events before you came with your successful propagandas that deceived our fathers?

(2) COLONISE THE SOUTH SOUTH, CAPTURE THE REGION, COLONISE THE OIL FIELD FOR BETTERMENT OF THE IGBOS.
Alhaji Sagir Ringim may I remind you that the Igbos are not the colonist as you have insinuated here, but you and your people in the northern protectorate. They have so far not shown the threat to colonize as when compared to your people. It is your people that used the oil from our region to better the livelihood of your people and that of your few allies in the Southwest. It is you that is synonymous with the word “CAPTURE”. It is your people that kill non-indigenes in your region to take-over their property. Alhaji Sagir Ringim, just in case you think this generation is as vulnerable are our grandfathers and fathers you deceived by your propaganda. You were able to make them see the Igbos as their enemies in the 60s. Please note that this is the 21st century of 2016. We are aware of these same lies you told our grandfathers and fathers in the early 60s. We are aware that after lying to them that they were different from the Igbos, you still went ahead and killed them in the name of killing the Igbos. We are aware of the devilish, malicious and infernal act you used one of your willing protégés General Gowon to do when you suddenly created the South East State (Today’s Cross River/Akwa Ibom State), Rivers State (Today’s Rivers and Bayelsa state) just to devise the divide-and-rule policy that was advise by the evil British woman just to break the unity of the region. We know that is was also based on Awolowo’s advise that certain parts of Igbo were sliced off, and added into the new states you created so as to weaken any form of unity that could hold. We have also read from a list of newspaper publications from the New York Post of the 60s as compiled by the LOWER NIGER CONGRESS on all the atrocities you committed against the people of the region before your final propaganda to separate them by these hypocritical lies. And we promise you that even though you used your fraud of a constitution to discourage the study of Nigerian History of the said period in Nigerian Schools, we will do well to expose this events in a carefully Chronicled format for every child/youth of this generation to know the truth. How dare you assume that even in the retard state of your protectorate, that you can conveniently influence the minds of the learned region in this millennium?

(3) BIAFRA IS LANDLOCKED AND WASN’T BLESSED WITH SOLID MATERIALS APART FROM COAL, ADDED THAT THE GEOLOGY OF THE ENCLAVE CAN’T SUPPORT AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY.
Alhaji Sagir Ringim, if these are your fears about the existence of Biafra, first of all, are you revealing the fears of your region, the Northern protectorate of the 12 Sharia states or the entire protectorate? You do not have any mineral resources and you are landlocked. Are you telling me you and your people have been so worried of surviving alone hence your insistence of a non-functional ONE NIGERIA PROJECT? Let me explain this to you Sir; The Igbos you are taking about do not just have a large reservoir of Coal in Enugu that can last for another century knowing that Coal is presently running major economies in Europe, South America and South Africa, the region also has a large reserve of Oil and gas in Abia and Imo state. Oil exploration in Anambra state has also commence and will soon commence in Enugu State. Can you see that your propagandas won’t work as it did in the 60s? Apart from the fact that your people maliciously separated the Igbos from their original race to Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom states, we at the LOWER NIGER CONGRESS have taken it upon ourselves to expose the malicious schemes of lies you used to separate our region. Your protégé General Buhari made it easier for us on National Television when his hatred for the people overwhelmed his ability to continue in the cover of your propaganda. He acknowledged the fact that we were all the same people. That notwithstanding, in a matter time, your lies and propaganda will hit the broken bridges of discontinuity. How dare you generate fears that do not exist for your selfish interest? You must have been thinking how successful your deceitful and hypocritical lies would go in rejuvenating the lies of the 60s.

Alhaji Sagir Ringim, this is the most absurd and ridiculous of all your concerns as expressed by your expression of love towards my people in the Niger Delta region. Industrialist do not just sit and lazy about as expected by you. And these were one of the fears and concerned expressed by your late Sultan in a video we managed to see where he was worried about the Igbos in the north. Alhaji, are you aware that your successful brother, Dangote; one of the richest man in Africa, has his economic wealth spread and domiciled outside the Northern region? Or are you in anyway saying that because people expand, explore greener areas, that means such an individual has no space in his home? Your points are a bit too ridiculous to have considered as your reasons for granting this interview.

Having segmented your major reasons for advising my region to be weary of our Igbo brothers as those that intend to recolonize my people, I stand bold to say that you and your kinsmen are guilty of all your worries. It is also a cause for concern that you and your allies have suddenly decided to worry about the Niger Delta region. When did you love the region this much?
(1) Are you not the same people that classify us all as Igbos during your killing and butchering spree and largess in the north?
(2) How come you are bothered that the people you classify as one when butchering, are two different people when it comes to owners of wealth?
(3) If you could desecrate our land as if we do not exist, come in and take away our oil wells as though it belongs to you,
(4) Announce on National Television that the Oil in Bayelsa belongs to you in Kano and Jagawa,

There has been series of reports against President Mohammadu Buhari's double standard about self determination. The world were wondering how a president will abandon a self determination issue on his door step unaddressed and begin to address such issue as far away country as Israel and Morocco. For the past few years now there has been a call by IPOB for freedom and independent of Biafra, the call which is communicated through massive protest, tweets, petitions, journalism, others across the globe, but President Buhari instead of calling IPOB on a round table to work out modalities on how let them go, rather he responded differently and violently, he started by kidnapping Nnamdi Kanu the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra, he then order his Boko Haram commanders who are now in army uniforms to shoot at sight any suspected IPOB member in Aba, Onitsha, Enugu, Igweocha and others, the direct orders from Buhari includes pouring the IPOB victims acid and embalming chemical and bury them in borrow pit and shallow graves, as a prove of his non tolerance of the Indigenous People Of Biafra self determination which he rightfully tell Aljazeera interviewer.

While President Buhari shoot and kill Biafrans seeking for self determination, he reaffirms his support and backing of Western Sahara and Palestine self determination, despite the fact that the Palestine did not have a defined territory yet the president lend his support for them, he recently inaugurated a committee with the tax of making sure that the two gain their freedom. Pondering on this contradictory attitude of President Muhammadu Buhari, it throw some people into confusion, others accuse him of double standard, while many across the world believe that it is due to his mental illness, an illness which have disgraced him several time in public. Buhari may be a double standard man, he may be mentally ill, but his main motive on supporting Western Sahara and Palestine independent is to form Nigerian-led Islamic alliance against the Biafrans.
In a bid to take Jihad to the sea and to fulfill Ahmadu Bello's vow, President Buhari introduced his islamisation agenda which was fiercely resisted by Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB, as the legal war rages on, Buhari seem to be losing the legal war against the IPOB as evidence of his atrocities and genocide are glaring, which may subsequently make it necessary for his Western allies including Britain to abandon him. With this fear of abandonment in his mind, Buhari must form an Islamic alliance against the Biafrans, that alliance is Western Sahara, Palestine and other Islamic nations yet to be announced. Buhari must unify this Islamic union which must be led by Nigeria to ensure that Biafrans are oppressed, conquered and Islamised even without the British support.

In this interview, the prophet speaks on various issues, including President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration and Biafra, among other issues.

Excerpts:

What is your assessment of Buhari’s performance so far?

The President started well but the enemy wants to push him to overdo things. A good king is the one who always listens to himself and not just what people say to him. That is what makes one a wise king; he sits and meditates upon what people say to him and determines what is right or wrong before taking action. During his inaugural address, the President stated that he is for everybody and belongs to nobody.

Looking at some of the steps he has taken so far, would you say he can still live up to that statement?

He said so and I can tell you that that was his honest mind. But some bad elements in the country are now misleading him. If Buhari wants to rule well, he should do what he agreed with his spirit before he was sworn in as President. For him to become a good President implies that he must offend many people, and will not overstretch things. He should also respect public opinion and rule of law at all times. I knew Buhari many years ago when he was in the military and I can tell who he really is.

But if the challenge is that if he should act according to what his conscience tells him, he will definitely offend most of the people that are working with him, as his decisions would not favour them, and that will prompt them to start planning to pull the President down. He should choose people on the basis of integrity and sincerity. He must do away with schoolmate, former associate, kinsman or old time friend and same tribe syndrome while choosing whom to work with because it is dangerous.

Do you think the country will fare well under the Buhari administration?

What I would say is that the President does not have good advisers. The same thing that happened to ex-President Jonathan is gradually happening to him now. When God showed me what was happening during Jonathan’s time, I spoke out. That is my job as a Prophet. I warned repeatedly that those the ex-president thought were leading him were the same people that would cripple his government. Many people wrote me off as someone seeking for attention or appointment.

Are you inferring that the present administration will not fare well?

Spiritually speaking, Buhari’s honest intention is to rule Nigeria faithfully and sincerely. But the truth is that he has to first, build adequate and sincere peace-bridges in the country. He should allow the law of the land to reign supreme. Most of those advising him are trying to jeopardise his relationship with Nigerians so that people will hate him and conclude that he is a sadist. Look, the lord showed me where a raging crisis befell Nigeria and if Mr. President does not tread cautiously, the country would be plunged into deep crisis that will attract foreign trouble. I see Nigeria attracting foreign trouble – another country attacking Nigeria, if care is not taken. Most of these things happening in the country today are traps set to catch Mr. President. You know what happens to the man who unknowingly matches on a banana pill? He slips. Buhari should tread with caution and not whip a child because he is too stubborn. He should whip the child with wisdom and love.

I believe you are referring to the current war against corruption in the country, especially the Dasukigate and Nnamdi Kanu issue?

Mr. President knows the truth about the corrupt people under Jonathan administration or the Dasukigate but I think he wants to please Nigerians. I pray he doesn’t end up displeasing himself in the process. Most of all those involved in the deal are cliques that played one role or another when he was in the race for the 2015 Presidential election. So, when you want to arrest thieves, you should also arrest those that have long-throat because they are under the same law. I warn again that he should tread with caution. If the corruption war will rightly spread across board, I am sure majority of citizens will support it. But when the war is viewed by many to be lopsided or sectional, there would be trouble. People saw Buhari as the one that has come to rescue this country. Let him stand on those intentions that originally made him to desire to rule Nigeria again, bearing in mind the factors that also made Nigerian to vote for him. Caution should be President Buhari’s watchword.

What is your advice to the President on the issue of Biafra and continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu?

Biafra? He should apply utmost caution in dealing with the Biafra issue because spiritually and physically, it is beyond what The President’s eyes can see or comprehend. Let him use utmost wisdom to handle the issue otherwise Nigeria will regret it. The President should direct his aides and federal agencies concerned to obey whatever the court proclaims over the issue. Nobody is above the law and nobody should be seen to be above the law. Nobody can change whatever God says about this nation. There is a mystery about this country. But all I am saying is that our President should be very careful about traps. There are so many better ways of handling sensitive issues to achieve the desired result.

Many people are of the view that Biafra had died a long time ago but several others still have strong belief that it will come to pass someday. What is your view?

There is no way Biafra will not manifest in Nigeria someday. The Lord showed that to me long ago. The only thing I cannot tell is when it will come to pass. But the way it manifested was not through violence – killing people or shedding blood. It happened through peaceful means – peaceful protest. Some years ago, I stated in The Sun how I was shown how three prominent Nigerian leaders, now late, had a covenant and agreed that the three tribes, under which the country was then categorised, would not betray one another. That was how the concept of ‘one Nigeria’ was born, during the time of Nnamdi Azikiwe, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and Herbert Macaulay. They had a concrete agreement to become one Nigeria but along the line, one of them betrayed the oath. The effect of that oath is what Nigeria is suffering today. During the Obasanjo regime, I advised him to convoke a national peace cleansing exercise for Nigeria and I repeated the call many times during the Jonathan regime to no avail. Unless a peace cleansing is carried out in Nigeria, no President will ever rule well in this country! You can quote me anywhere.

What is your take on the view of some Nigerians that President Buhari should prosecute former president Goodluck Jonathan if he is found guilty of corruption?

I am not Goodluck Jonathan and I am not prepared to speak for anybody. But I would advise President Buhari and his aides to talk less. Let the President talk less and show more action. A king does not talk anyhow. Whatever his aides say are taken as his direct words because they are his mouthpieces. If he loves himself, his credibility and this nation, he should talk less, because those that are making him to talk will still use his utterances to rope him and fight him in future. He is a king in this country and kings talk less. Let him talk less and the wisdom of God will come upon him.

IFESINACHI'S ABDUCTION: Our lives are in danger, mother cries out

Mrs. Rachael Ani, mother of Ifesin achi, the teenage school girl who was abducted in Abuja about six months ago and converted to Is lam, cried out yesterday that the lives of her family members were in danger.
She disclosed that since The AUTHORITY newspapers published the news about her miss ing daughter, who was abducted by a syndicate said to be working for a controversial Emir in the North West geo-political zone, she was being threatened by un known persons.
The teenage girl, Ifesinachi, was a student of the Government Secondary School, Apo Resettle ment, Abuja, before she disappeared from the FCT last year. The AUTHORITY newspapers started telling Ifesinachi’s bizarre story last week.
Mrs. Ani informed our re porters that “since the day this matter became public, we no longer sleep in our residence.

We do not even return home any longer. We don’t eat at the place either. We have become refugees because some persons have been coming to point at our house and uttering some words that showed they were monitor ing us and would hurt us had we been around”.
Asked to describe how she knew that the people who were coming around have sinister mo tives, she explained that “since the Police arrested Baba Abdul, the linkman to the abductors, the people threatening us, who speak Hausa language, have been coming in their numbers to our house. We have not been seeing such people before around here and I am not a child to under stand that if I don’t take the nec essary precaution, we might all be killed and all these would be come history.
“Moreover, we do not have any Police protection. So, I have to use my number-6 and moved my family members out of this place. We now hibernate around and sleep anywhere we could get assistance.
“I am please asking the Com missioner of Police in the FCT and the Inspector-General of Police to come to our assistance and protect us.
“I am also pleading with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State; the Chairman of the South East Governor’s Fo rum; the Chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area; the Chairman of Ohaneze Ndig bo and all well-meaning Igbo men and women to understand that it is the case of their daugh ter that is in issue.
“They should all help me and my family. We have no oth er people to run to and we hope they will immediately rescue my daughter and come to our aid.
“These people (the cabal of child traffickers) are murderous and have proved they can kill an yone because they believe that nothing will happen if they do so. We don’t want to die. Please help and rescue my daughter,” the woman pleaded, crying pro fusely as she said these words.
The missing girl is from Ani-Chime family in Umun nachi Ngene village in Amae chi Awkunanaw in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enu gu State. Their family house is a little after the home of former Senate President, Ken Nnamani.
Mrs. Ani’s family is Umu ene family in Aguwani section in Amagu Ukwu village. Their family house is close to the home of Senator Jim Nwobo do, former governor of old An ambra State.
The woman, a widow, with four children, lamented that since her daughter got abduct ed, she was no longer able to prepare and sell the local deli cacy “Ogbo”, through which she has been sustaining her family, stressing that “as a mother, it is difficult for me to concentrate and do the menial business I have been doing to sustain my family. We have been surviving on charity since then,” she la mented.
Investigations carried out by The AUTHORITY have re vealed that Ifesinachi’s abduc tors are bold, daring and ap pear to be a web of well-funded syndicate.
It was also discovered that the primary aim of the group is to abduct and convert to Is lam as many teenagers as pos sible from Christian-dominat ed ethnic groups in Nigeria, for handsome rewards.
The act is carried out through all forms of subterfuge including deceit, hypnotism and fetish processes. Many Igbo girls are believed to have already been abducted and trafficked in this manner.
In this particular case, when the Editorial Board of The Authority called the abductors through one of the three tele phone numbers provided by Mrs. Ani, 08060598215, a fe male voice at the other end asked Mrs. Ani to stop bother ing about her child’s wellbeing.
The recipient of the call equally wondered why the re porter detailed to communicate with her, who bears an Islamic name, should be asking about Ifesinachi’s well-being “since as a Muslim, you should under stand the reward for converting non-Muslims of other tribes”.
Midway into the discus sion, she cut off the telephone call, querying if truly the caller is a Muslim, as claimed.
The AUTHORITY has no technical facility to verify the actual location of the abduc tors but we can confirm that they have converted her to Is lam. The abductors also post ed her pictures on the internet and renamed her “Amatullahi”.
They also use telephone numbers 08081170324 and 07038310025. All these lines are still going through up till the time of filing this report. Detailed encounter we had with the abductors last week could still be read on The AUTHORITY on Sunday of March 13.

Gov Fayose Reveals Why Buhari Has Refused To Release Nnamdi Kanu ^Featured

Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s condemnation of Sunday’s terrorist attack on the Grand Bassam Resort in Cote D’Ivoire as a display of hypocrisy and an evident demonstration of his insensitivity to the plight of Nigerians.

Fayose wondered why President Buhari chose to keep quiet for two days after Fulani herdsmen murdered over 300 people in Benue, but immediately reacted to the killing of 16 people in Cote D’Ivoire.

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor said: “If President Buhari could afford to pick his phone and call the Ivorian President, Alassane Ouattara, immediately after the attack, Nigerians must ask the President why he kept mute for days over the Fulani herdsmen massacre of over 300 Agatu people of Benue State, the Mile 12 Lagos killings and wanton destruction of properties among others.”

“From all indications, our President has abandoned governance. The only thing going on in the minds of those running the affairs of this country in Abuja is how to entrench themselves in power by crushing anyone perceived as capable of hindering them.”

“That is the reason they are using the Department of State Services (DSS) to harass and intimidate us here in Ekiti, under flimsy excuses like investigating members of the State House of Assembly for alleged forgery of tax certificates when the Ekiti State Government, which issued the certificates have not complained to the DSS that its tax certificates were forged by the lawmakers.

“That is also the reason the President keeps showing his anger against Nnamdi Kanu and his Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) agitators while the same President has failed to approach the economy and insecurity, especially the Fulani herdsmen menace with the same level of anger.”

“Even when their own Information Minister, Lai Mohammed has told Nigerians that the economy has gone out of the hands of the President, they keep using anti-corruption fight to persecute opposition elements both in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their own party, All Progressives Congress (APC), forgetting that fighting corruption is not a substitute for putting food on the table of Nigerians.”

“The President must therefore be made to realise that Nigerians are suffering, with price of foodstuffs skyrocketing. The economy is in comatose, Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen are killing people. President Buhari must learn to begin to cry over Nigeria’s problems first before going to other countries to cry over their problems for them.

There’s no Going Back on Anti Preaching Bill in Kaduna, el-Rufai Tells CAN Delegates

The Kaduna State Government today explained that the Religious Preaching Bill aims to protect the state from religious extremism and hate speech. Architect Barnabas Yusuf Bala, the Deputy Governor of the state, told a delegation of the Kaduna State CAN that the Government has a duty to ensure that religious violence no longer threatens the state. He said that the Kaduna State Government is always committed to ensuring that religion can be practiced in a safe and secure and secure climate and there is no going back on the bill.

“We swore to uphold the Constitution which recognizes the freedom of religion and thought as fundamental rights. The same Constitution obliges us to ensure the safe exercise of these rights by legislating in the interest of public safety, public order, public morality or public health, and for the purpose of protecting the rights and freedom of other persons.

“This is not a new law. It has existed since 1984, with amendments in 1987 and 1996. The military governments which created the law were responding to outbreaks of religious violence such as Maitatsine in 1983; the riots after the Kafanchan incidence of 1987.

“This is the first time that the legislation is passing through a democratic process, with all the transparency that the public hearing and other legislative processes of the House of Assembly entails. Proposing this amendment is a deliberate decision by the government to subject the law to a democratic process, rather than just enforce the provisions of the edict as passed since 1984.

“Kaduna State has a history of Religious/Sectarian Crisis and what this Bill seeks to do is not anything new but to learn from painful experience, and discourage the use of religion for violence and division. The Bill, by virtue of Section 45(1) of the 1999 Constitution, is in order and does not offend the provisions of the constitution. The provisions of the Bill are in tandem with the Constitution.

“There is nothing in the Bill that suggests any effort to abolish, stop or derogate on the freedom of religion and religious beliefs. It merely seeks to ensure that religious preaching and activities in the State are conducted in ways that do not threaten public order, public safety, and to protect the rights and freedom of other persons.”

The 12-person CAN delegation was led by the state chairman, Bishop George Dodo. He expressed appreciation for the meeting and assured the government that CAN is preparing its position for submission to the House of Assembly and the state executive.

Ex-governor of Rivers state and current Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi came into Ugwuocha early this week and has been spitting fire and brimstone over the Rivers state re-run election which will hold on March 19 for the three senatorial districts, 11 House of Representatives and 22 state assembly seats. Amaechi has boasted he has received the mandate of Muhammadu Buhari the African Hitler and the COAS Lt. T.Y Burutai to give orders to the over 10,000 Islamic military personnels deployed specially for the election. He further boasted he will be partying in a night club on the eve of the election because he is sure his political party, All Progressive Congress (APC) will win the election.

Rotimi Amaechi who publicly embarrassed himself and stormed out of a live radio programme of Love 97.7 FM has shown his sheer pride and arrogance as synonymous with members of his political party. Amaechi made a public broadcast which has been on repeat every five minutes in his privately floated radio station, Today 95.1 FM Port Harcourt. In the broadcast he berated the state governor Nyesom Wike for declaring a two-day public holiday before the election day citing the current economic hardship the people are suffering and urge voters to defend their votes. He also reiterated he will be monitoring the election in various polling stations.

I am not personally interested in the election but those who will be willingly to go out to vote definitely knows it is APC lead by Muhammadu Buhari the African Hitler that kept them in the economic hardship they are experiencing and I am sure they will defend their votes as the people of Bayelsa did in the governorship poll. The voters have also not forgotten that Amaechi plundered the state's resources in order to sponsor Buhari's presidential campaign. I advice Amaechi to stick to monitoring his Ubima environs and not move about to various local government during election hours because he is neither a verified security personnel nor an approved election monitor. His attempt to foist Dakuku Peterside as the governor of the state failed just like his quest for Vice President, SGF and Party Chairman Positions. In shame, he narrowly became a minister after Buhari personally lobbied and forced the Senate Chamber to approve him

Rotimi Chibuike Ameachi in his overzealousness to serve his paymaster and to prove he still has a stake in politics in Ugwuocha has led the Islamic armed forces of Nigeria to continue the extermination of Biafrans in the guise of election security. He may bear a Biafran name but those who were born due to Ese's kind of predicament are clearly known and he is one. A new twist in the ongoing agitation by pro- Biafran group emerged on Thursday when the social media was awash with pictures purportedly claiming that soft drink giant, Coca- Cola, was supporting its cause with pictures of some Coca-Cola cans with the inscriptions “Nnamdi Kanu” and “Biafrans”. Kanu, who is the director of Radio Biafra and head of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was arrested in Lagos in October 2015, a development which prompted widespread protests within and outside the country with pro-Biafra agitators calling for the independence of the Biafran territories.

Saturday Telegraph gathered that though Nigeria Bottling Company (NBC) disassociated itself from the purported customised Coca-Cola can, the issue, however, elicited mixed reactions among Nigerians. Kalu, who is standing trial on six counts bordering on treasonable felony charges, was initially arrested for conspiracy and terrorism, which were later dropped.

However, it was gathered that some Biafran media outlets claimed that many shops across the country were now selling “specially customised” Coca-Cola drinks. An online news portal, Biafran Times, reported that:

“Many noted this as unprecedented as some also declared their interest in getting at least a few. Biafrans are exploring every available avenue to promulgate the gospel of the restoration of Biafra.”

Commenting on the development, the Head Legal Services, Public Affairs and Communications Manager, (NBC), Sade Morgan, said the management of the NBC was not aware of such customising of its products in the market or in the South-East.

She said though the company customises names on its can products, which is part of brand promotion in the “share open happiness” promo, such names, however, were duly scrutinised in accordance with the company’s ethical standard.

According to her, the company only uses one person’s name on each can bottle and any can with two names on it does not emanate from the NBC and is, therefore, illegal. The NBC Spokesperson said that the use of ‘Nnamdi Kanu’ and ‘Biafra’ to brand its products was unacceptable as it was not from the NBC.

Morgan stressed that because of the security risk in the country, the management of NBC would not be liable for any matter that could affect the peace and stability of the country, adding that the company will investigate the emergence of such can bottle products in circulation with a view to unravelling the truth. She added that the NBC as a responsible corporate organisation had contributed immensely to the development of Nigerian manufacturing sector for decades and would not do anytime that would incur the wrath of government and its agencies since it operates within the law of the land.

Morgan said: “We use this medium to distance ourselves as a corporate entity operating in Nigeria from the customised ‘Nnamdi Kanu’ and ‘Biafra’ can bottles branded in Coca-Cola’s products that are in circulation in the South East or wherever in Nigeria. “We don’t brand our Coca-Cola can bottle with two names, rather it’s one name we adopt. This illegal, customised can bottles do not come from us.

So, we wish to tell the general public that the NBC is a responsible corporate entity and will not be involved in any controversy that will disturb the peace and unity of Nigeria. “We are going to investigate this matter and we want relevant agencies to note that the customised can bottles in circulation are not from the NBC.”

Meanwhile, a pro-Biafran activist, Mr. Lotachukwu Okolie, has claimed that he is due to be “illegally deported” from Norway to Nigeria, where he fears his life will be in danger due to his activism.

Okolie, who claims to be one of the leaders of a movement calling for the independence of the Biafran territories, told International Business Times (IBTimes), United Kingdom, that he was currently being detained at the Trandum Detention Centre from where he would be deported to Nigeria anytime from now.

Justifying his fear with what had befallen Kanu, Okolie claimed he fled Nigeria in 2004 after being allegedly tortured in a prison.

Okolie’s friend, who spoke to IBTimes UK on condition of anonymity, said the activist was arrested in Nigeria due to his activities and escaped from the Oko Prison in Edo State in 2004. In 2013, he was made the leader of the IPOB in Norway.

He claimed that after Okolie met with the Norwegian parliament and organised a Biafran conference in Oslo in August 2014, he was contacted by some Nigerians living in Norway who asked him to stop advocating a breakaway.

“These individuals demanded Okolie should stop campaigning for Biafra restoration because the Nigerian embassy in Stockholm is aware that he escaped from Oko prison,” the source said and added that Okolie was then arrested.

General Ben and Precious Iyoyo (aka General playboy) have demanded for the release of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The duo of freedom fighters has warned President Muhammadu Buhari to desist from killing unarmed protesters and should concentrate on curbing the menace of the Boko Haram Islamic militant. General Playboy implored the United Nations (UN) to prevail on the Nigerian government to allow peace reign in the country, freeing Kanu and allowing Biafra to have its sovereignty.

Suspected divers hit a Shell underwater pipeline last month, interrupting oil flows and forcing the company to shut down its 250,000 barrel-a-day Forcados export terminal for weeks. Security experts say the attack showed a level of skill and inside intelligence rarely seen since the 2004-2009 insurgencies by then militants which at its height halved Nigeria’s oil output of around 2 million barrels a day. In a paper presented by Sanusi Lamido Sanusi at the “National Conference on the 1999 Constitution” jointly organised By The Network For Justice And The Vision Trust Foundation, at the Arewa House, Kaduna from 11th –12th September, 1999, the former Central Bank Governor and highly revered Emir of Kano bluntly prophesied thus: “the Northern Bourgeoisie and the Yoruba Bourgeoisie have conspired to keep the Igbo out of the scheme of things. In the recent transition when the Igbo solidly supported the PDP in the hope of an Ekwueme presidency, the North and South-West treated this as a Biafra agenda. Every rule set for the primaries, every gentleman´s agreement was set aside to ensure that Obasanjo, not Ekwueme emerged as the candidate. Things went as far as getting the Federal Government to hurriedly gazette a pardon. Now, with this government, the marginalisation of the Igbo is more complete than ever before. The Igbos have taken all these quietly because, they reason, they brought it upon themselves. But the nation is sitting on a time-bomb. After the First World War, the victors treated Germany with the same contempt Nigeria is treating Igbos. Two decades later, there was a Second World War, far costlier than the first. Germany was again defeated, but this time, they won a more honourable peace. Our present political leaders have no sense of history.

There is a new Igbo man, who was not born in 1966 and neither knows nor cares about Nzeogwu and Ojukwu. There are Igbo men on the street who were never Biafrans. They were born Nigerians, are Nigerians, but suffer because of actions of earlier generations. They will soon decide that it is better to fight their own war, and may be find an honourable peace, than to remain in this contemptible state in perpetuity. The Northern Bourgeoisie and the Yoruba Bourgeoisie have exacted their pound of flesh from the Igbos. For one Sardauna, one Tafawa Balewa, one Akintola and one Okotie-Eboh, hundreds of thousands have died and suffered. If this issue is not addressed immediately, no conference will solve Nigeria´s problems.” Intimidation, coercion or arm-twisting by government will not deter the group either. Government should learn to heed saintly advices and take a cue from the undiluted opinion of not only the Emir of Kano but those of others who had previously made these same views known.

Biafra: Appraising President Buhari Understands of Biafran, Palestinian and Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic’s Struggle for Self-Determination ^Featured

Despite the perceived viciousness of the military regime of late General Sani Abacha and the condemnation which trailed it, that government did the unthinkable when it ironically or rather absurdly sent troops to restore a democratically elected government of Ahmad Tejan Kabbah of Sierra Leone which was toppled by the military. It was a case of one having a big plank in one’s eyes but was concerned about the little speck in the eyes of another. The action of that military junta then was aptly captured by the Economist which described Nigeria as a nation which imports what she has and exports what she does not have. Nigerian leaders clean their noses in the public with tissue papers or white handkerchiefs only to use their index fingers to clean the same nose in private.

The hollowness in that military diplomacy like the unprofitable age long futile diplomatic policy and leadership grandstanding as the “big brother” of the continent has taken a toll on government and its policies even after the death of Abacha. The government of President Muhammadu Buhari has once again sipped from the hypocritical cup of Nigerian leaders who see the tiny speck in other peoples’ eyes but fail to note the big planks in theirs. At the UN General Assembly on 28th September, 2015 the president vigorously championed for the independence of the Palestinian state. In fact in his address to the assembly, the president frankly made a good case for a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine. He said, “the international community has come to pin its hopes on resolving the Palestinian issue through the two – states solution which recognises the legitimate right of each state to exist in peace and security. The world has no more excuse or reason to delay the implementation of the long list of Security Council Resolutions. Neither do we have the moral right to deny any people their freedom or condemn them indefinitely to occupation and blockade.”

The president further echoed his support for the freedom of Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic lately. He made this known while receiving Mohammed Salem Ould Salek, Minister of foreign Affairs, SADR in the State House, Abuja. Buhari said, “the issue came up first when I was in office as military head of state. As I left government, Nigeria remained steadfast on it. In my maiden outing at the UN General Assembly last September, the issue of Sahrawi was in my speech. You have no cause to doubt our commitment. We stand with our African Union colleagues on the issue. Nigeria will maintain focus till everything is finally resolved positively” Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic – a partially recognised independent state that controls a thin strip of area in the Western Sahara region of Morocco has an estimated population of a minimum of 500,000 in 1976. The president assured the SADR delegation who paid him a visit that Nigeria will stand with them in their agitation for their rights to self-determination and independence. On the same day, over the same issue of self-determination, President Buhari’s government was in court to ensure the conviction of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra whose crime was peaceful protests to press home their demand for self-actualisation. President Buhari firmly believes in the cause and promotion of the Palestinian and Sahrawi struggles but will not tolerate the agitation for self-determination of Biafrans whose crime was the same cause the Palestinian and the Sahrawi’s are pursuing. This is an obvious case of same agitation; but different perception.

“The President authorised and encouraged Nigerian troops to shoot, kill and decapitate unarmed civilian protesters, boasting that he will kill more if the protesters did not stop demanding their rights. More worrisome is the fact that when it became clear to the protesters that justice can never be gotten within the context of Buhari’s government and sought international intervention, the Buhari-led military tampered with the evidence of their atrocity by cremating the decomposing bodies of the victims of their atrocity.”, said Chinomnso Awazie.

An idle Nigerian Movement for the Liberation of Western Sahara chaired by Professor Ibrahim Gambari with the membership of NLC and ASUU ably represented by Ayuba Wabba, Dr. Dipo Shina and Dr. Nasir Sagir former and current ASUU President respectively has found a common ground to drum support for the independence of aliens who they know little or nothing about while they kept mute in the face of provocation, injustice and wanton killing going on in the South East. Many Biafran demonstrators were slaughtered like those President Buhari rallies international support for their freedom from those he thought are their traducers and elements of oppression. What makes Biafra’s case different from these? What breeds discontent in every society is the deliberate effort to cover up falsehood, circumvent justice and the frantic attempt to bury the truth or turn it upside down. Truth is truth no matter who, where, when and how it is told. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

In November 2015, the Nigeria army publicly made a threatening statement that they will crush unarmed Biafran peaceful protesters, who were as their prerogative demanding for the unconditional release of their Leader Nnamdi Kanu. The Biafrans and their leader Nnamdi Kanu has no concealed plan to create any conflict in the old Eastern Nigeria, and neither did they plan to overthrow Nigeria government.
As a matter of fact, Biafrans are only seeking self determination as enshrined in the United Nations Charter, which is a pre-requisite to having a fulfilled life, and the continued survival of all.
The zeal to gain freedom from the unholy union between Biafra and Nigeria has so far been demonstrated peacefully, but on every occasion of each peaceful protest, the trigger-happy Nigerian Army and Police never hesitated to assault and kill our people.

It is despicable that the Nigeria Government undermined the legitimacy of Biafra as an entity of its own, and even more preposterous for its Army to officially make an open threat, and now claiming ignorance of the holocaust unleashed on Biafrans recently by its soldiers.
This various massacre were spontaneously planned, as the army found it ideal to relocate its headquarters to Aba of all places, with the sole aim of killing Biafrans for daring to protest peacefully, while Boko Haram that is considered the second deadliest terrorist sect and occupying the cities ravaged by it have no millitary base.
The Nigerian army began its mass exodus to Biafra land at the command of the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari with an accompanying instruction "GO AND KILL THEM ALL".
It is unimaginable that the endless crimes committed by Buhari's official assassins to kill innocent people, was never challenged by the UN and various notable human rights group. It is unheard of that the genocide which have been taking place from 1967 till date has not received any condemnation from world leaders, whereas America on the 17th of March 2016, was quick to state that ISIS killings has been classified as GENOCIDE. The conspiracy is very alarming indeed.
The architect of this various atrocity is no other person than the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari. It is an undeniable fact that the killings of Biafrans was intentional and masterminded by Buhari, this he demonstrated by refusing to watch the video of the killings of Biafrans on Aljazeera Tv.
More proof of his complicity was shown when he bragged over his foot soldiers exploit, stating that the peaceful protesters killed by his soldiers were joking with his security, and that he will do everything to keep Nigeria as one, even if it means killing all the Igbos.

This and many more speak volume about the person of Buhari. It is an already established fact that he is a religious bigot, whose sympathy is limited to his kith and kin, the Hausa-Fulani. Since his assumption into office, Hausa-Fulani Herdsmen have been on rampage killing at will, without hesitation. "Has it crossed sane minds to ask why Buhari has never condemned their terrible act, much more ordering millitary invasion to counter this upsurge? "haven't you wondered why the investigation over these killings were never taken into consideration, much more investigated?
Well the reasons are not far-fetched, but staring at us in the face.

I appreciate IPOB Worldwide who never relented in ensuring that international communities react to this unfortunate incidence. Their resillience has paid off, as Amnesty International and other bodies have caused an investigation to be initiated, with respect to the killings of IPOB in Aba as confirmed by the chief of Army staff LT. Gen. Tukur Bruatai, eventhough his statement is a mere charade.
It is advisable for him to make his findings and give a detailed report, as all are eagerly awaiting the outcome of his investigation. This investigation should begin at Aso Rock, where the army commander cum president of Nigeria reside in. He should not look far as if the killers and their Leader are under anonymity. When one does not know his right, he will only be a tool in the hands of a tyrant. We condemn the wicked act of these soldiers for allowing themselves to be an instrument for killing harmless civilians.

According to Charlie Chaplin " Soldiers! don’t give yourselves to brutes - men who despise you - enslave you - who regiment your lives - tell you what to do - what to think and what to feel! Who drill you - diet you - treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts! You don’t hate! Only the unloved hate - the unloved and the unnatural! Soldiers! Don’t fight for slavery! Fight for liberty!".

WARNING AGAINST THE ELIMINATION OF ASARI DOKUBO

Muhammad Buhari had never hidden his hatred against Biafrans and his hunger to exterminate them. As a matter of fact, he brags of his exploits in killing of Biafrans and has gone on record to state that he will do more whenever he gets the opportunity.

With this knowledge his satanic quest to wipe out Biafrans, many of us are not surprised that since he forced his way into the office of the president of the Federal Government of the Zoo-Nigeria (FGZ), many of our kith and kin have being dying either mysteriously or through direct bullets and chemicals from his killer squads.

If the murder-by-bullet is not from one or a combination of his orthodox security agencies like the police, army, navy, air force or Department of State Service (DSS), it will be from his unorthodox agencies among whom are Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen. The murders are usually in large numbers.

1.        The main point of this alert is the serial elimination of our traditional rulers. Prominent among them is the murder of the monarch of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom in Aniocha South Local Government Area in Biafra land, His Royal Majesty Akaeze Edward Ofulue III on January 5, 2016 by 4.00 pm, Biafran time. He was abducted by DSS who masqueraded as their unorthodox counterpart – Fulani herdmens We found his decomposed dead body on January 20, 2016 in a bush.

Mr Akaeze’s assassination is prominent in the sense that he is a lawyer and has compiled all the necessary Biafra restoration documents for onward submission to the United Nations before the DSS did the unthinkable. Furthermore, in our tradition, it is a taboo to kidnap a king, not to talk of killing him.

3.      Buhari desecrated our culture and defiled our land Several other such serial killings abound but the latest is the assassination of the traditional ruler of Ikeala Ahiaba Autonomous Community in Obingwa Local Government Area in Biafra land, Eze James Nwabekee. We woke up on February 23, 2016 to hear that the DSS assassinated the traditional ruler in the night and injured many members of his family. They rained bullets on him until he died in the pool of his own blood.

4.       We later reliably gathered that his offence was that he told his community members to pray for the release Nnamdi Kanu in line with the wisdom of the courts that have granted him bail. To corroborate the story that the DSS was behind this serial killing, the government has not made any statement with respect to investigation of the killing.

5.       With the established trend of serial elimination of our traditional rulers by the agents of Buhari, Biafrans want to inform Buhari in particular and the international community at large that we will no longer take it lying low if any of our rulers is eliminated henceforth.

This alert became necessary because we have a report of a plot to eliminate Asari Dokubo, the Alabo Edi Ababli of Kalabari. The highly respected traditional stool of Alabo Edi Ababli of Kalabari, established in 1782, is one of the oldest traditional stools in Biafra land and is currently occupied by Asari Dokubo. In the interest of peace, Buhari and his killer squads should neither arrest him in violation of known laws nor assassinate him for any reason.

In as much as the likes of the Emirs are not arrested even when they are implicated in kidnapping and raping of minors for ritual sex and sex slaves, our own traditional rulers should not be arrested or assassinated just because they are Biafrans.

Army investigates extra-judicial killing of Biafra activists in Aba

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, on Thursday in Enugu said the Nigerian Armed Forces had commenced investigations into the alleged extra-judicial killing of unarmed pro-Biafra protesters in Aba, Abia State.

About 10 members of the Indigenous People of Biafra were reportedly killed when troops opened fire as they were calling for the release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, in February.

There were also reports that about 30 other members of the group sustained serious injuries during the incident.

Amnesty International had condemned the development, accusing the army of ‘excessive use of force’ against the pro-Biafra activists.

Fielding questions from journalists, after addressing officers and men of the 82 Division, in Enugu, Buratai said the army was investigating the alleged extra-judicials killings.

“We are already investigating it. When such incidents involve the loss of lives we usually conduct an investigation – that is our procedure,” the army chief said.

But he also went ahead to observe that the soldiers could not have opened fire on the activists without provocation.

He said, “We have our rules of engagement, the troops cannot just open fire.”

Earlier, while addressing officers and men of the military formation, Buratai said the army’s rules of engagement permitted the use of force, once other measures fail to address a security challenge.

Instructing the soldiers on the need to be ‘professional’ in discharging their duties, he said, “We have to ensure that we work within the framework of our rules of engagement.

“You know that the Rules of Engagement provides for the protection of human rights, especially the protection of innocent citizens.

“But in situations that entail the use of fire, the protection of human rights does not apply.

“So when you apply the Rules of Engagement and it is necessary to open fire human rights will not apply.”

The COAS stressed that the 1999 Constitution, and the Armed Forces Act, all provided for the use of force when necessary.

The Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and Biafra Independent Movement (BIM), yesterday accused the Anambra State police command of killing about 20 of its members secretly, challenging them to debunk the allegation.

The accusation was made in Onitsha by the Regional Administrator, Anambra West, Mr. Wilfred Aninze, who said that most of the members killed were those caught with Biafra insignia and motorcycle plate numbers, wondering why such inhuman treatment would be meted to their members.

According to him, “the secret killing came to the limelight when one of our members, Okechukwu Joseph,

was reported missing by his wife.

“Early this year, 10 of our members were declared missing and from the report we got, they were secretly arrested and killed by the Police without the knowledge of our members.

“We learnt that the police topshot in the country had a meeting with all the State Commissioners of Police, and in the meeting, it was resolved that MASSOB/BIM members would be secretly caught and killed.

“By the end of February, the number of those declared missing which we suspected to have secretly been killed stood at 20.”

The Regional Administrator stated that “we will not continue to keep our hands akimbo and watch our members being killed without committing any offence. “We are a non violent organization fighting for a sovereign state of Biafra.”

THE WORLD MUST RISE UP IN DEFENCE OF TRUTH

Truth they say comes at last and if there is any sophisticated weapon needed to win an enemy, then i will agree with Nnamdi Kanu that it is nothing but TRUTH. He exposed ahead every hidden agenda of the Millitary led government of Muhammadu Buhari, which has eventually come to bare. With unfolding events, he has gained the right to be called a 'prophet'.
His predictions and its eventual display are the reason why the world at large especially lovers of truth and freedom should not fold their arms and watch things get out of hand. I was not there when the UN agreed on the right to self determination for indigenous people. Many countries have gone their seperate ways, beginning with the balkanization of the USSR and more after them. This goes to prove that Biafrans have the same right to seek freedom from oppression and slavery, and rightfully freedom of self governance.

One might start to wonder why the case of Biafrans are different, despite glaring evidence showing that our right to self determination is legal. Nothing good comes easy no doubt about that, but i think it is high time the lovers of truth and freedom all over the world rise up and do the needful, which include advising the dictator, Muhammadu Buhari to allow Biafrans go and if possible initiate referendum for peaceful dissolution of this abominable marriage between Biafra and Nigeria.

The killing of Biafrans in Nigeria is too much to endure, much more ignored. We appreciate Amnesty International for wading into the matter, by initiating an investigation, and letting the world know that Biafrans are being massacred by the Nigerian Army and Police especially in Aba. We urge other human right bodies to rise up and condemn the actions of the blood thirsty Nigerian government.
The recent address by the Chief of Army Staff of Nigeria Lt. Col Tukur Buratai, shows how well the Nigerian military orchestrated the unjust massacre of Biafrans and finally concealed it by burning the corpses, so as to erase all evidence connecting them to to the murder.
Col Buratai, i assume you have not watched the video of what your men did that very day, because if you have done that, maybe your conscience would not have allowed you to make such inhumane statement in public. Ialso think that if not for intervention of Biafrans in exposing your soldiers crime, letting the world know what has been happening, you might not have admitted at all that your boys executed this great evil.

One may argue why it took you (Buratai) a week and one month before reacting to this, but we know you are looking for more ways to cover your track.
Judging from what you said and what we saw on ground that day, it is never in doubt that you and your boys planned the massacre ahead of time. Please we urge you to gather your evidence and start compiling your rules of engagement because it will be needed at ICC Hague. We also advise you to gather all the evidence that sparked provocation, resulting to the application of your rules of engagement.
Biafrans never had any weapon, but their flags and banners. Downplaying this scenario is not acceptable, but then it is Nigeria where everything is possible. Biafrans will be waiting, while Buratai conduct his presumed shambolic investigation.

I am not advocating violence for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra but let it be known that in the face of violence, the Ibibio,Idoma,Ijaw,Igede,Igbo,Itsekiri,Igbanke,Isobo(Urohobo) and Efik people will defend themselves. Dakubo says Kanu has done nothing wrong and should be released and allowed to continue working towards the restoration of Biafra.

“Kanu did not commit any crime by calling for self-determination and he should be freed.

“It is never a crime to call for self-determination, thus, he should be freed. Biafrans have to put away their differences and make sure he comes out. When I was in detention, Igbo came together to bring me out. Nnamdi has done tremendously well and has shown resoluteness in the Biafra struggle. Our goal is our independence and the good of our people.

“IPOB should extend their campaign to every region in Biafraland and not just Igboland. The Biafra gospel should be preached everywhere and people should be told why they should fearlessly join in this movement.”

He lauded IPOB and Kanu for coming this far in their struggle.

“It is our collective responsibilities that will make Biafra restoration a success.

“The Biafra struggle is for everyone and no one can do it all alone, thus, everyone should do away with differences and come together to make sure Kanu is freed and Biafra is restored. Leadership should not be our interest now; everyone should focus on our goal, which is the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra.

“Any Biafran who wants to deny the fact that Kanu catalysed this quest for Biafra independence is lying to himself; it is an obvious truth.

“This is not time to nurse grudges against one another so that our enemies will not take advantage of it and then use it against us.

“ I urge every Biafran to be strong and also call for the release of our brother, Kanu,” he affirmed.

Alhaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo, Leader of Niger Delta Volunteer Peoples Force has called on the Federal Government to release the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, who has been detained since October 2015.

Waterford city facebook page described the biafrans as having fantastic colour and music. The city of Waterford was agog on seeing the formidable Biafrans marching, dancing and singing in style. The Biafran colour was so conspicous and beautifully paraded. while the Nigerians recieved no commendation.

The normal traditional is to dress in green, party with beer and music. The Celebrations generally involve public parades and festivals. It is very normal that they wear a Shamrock, a three leaved plant which is also a symbol for Ireland. The first St Patrick's Day parade in Ireland was held in Waterford in 1903. How Fulani herdsmen butcher men, rape women in Delta communities

The best of times for Ossissa, an agrarian community in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, are yet to come. The same applies to Umuosumili, a neighbouring community to Ossissa. The fear of little Fulani herdsmen has become the beginning of wisdom for the peace-loving and quiet villages. Situated few metres away from the expressway running between Ogwashi Uku and Ughelli, the communities’ major means of livelihood is production of cassava and yam. But the invasion of the communities by the gun-wielding Fulani herdsmen is sending shivers down the spines of the hapless farmers. Many of them now dread going to the farm for fear of the herdsmen.

Last Wednesday, March 9, the Fulani herdsmen unleashed havoc on some residents of the settlement. Bicycles and motorcycles were burnt while one Ndudi Chiedozie and his wife escaped nearly being killed by the men along the way to their farms. But a youth, Afam Enennoh, was not so lucky as he was brutally attacked and butchered by the men. The little Fulani herdsmen attacked him with a cutlass, cutting his buttocks, arm and ankles, leaving him reeling in the pool of his blood. His survival is currently hanging in the balance as he is presently undergoing intensive treatment at the poorly equipped clinic in the village.

The Fulani attack on the youth was unprovoked. According to Afam who struggled to speak from his hospital bed, he was going to the farm when he met the men on the way. “I met them on the way, they asked me to stop and as soon as I stopped, they brought out their cutlass and started cutting me. They didn’t ask me any question, they just stopped me and began using the cutlass on me. I was going with my motorcycle, I managed to escape with blood all over my body,” he said.

Afam explained that he was dragged to the clinic by sympathizers who met him reeling in blood on the road. He said having being rushed to the clinic, he later heard that his motorcycle had been burnt by the herdsmen who disappeared into the bush with their cattle. The nurse at the clinic, Miss Joy Eboma, gave a description of his condition when he was dragged to the village clinic. Eboma said, “I was here when he was rushed in from the bush to the clinic. He was macheted on the arm, buttocks and ankle. He was unconscious when he was brought in. I had to quickly begin treating him so as to bring him back to life. We rushed him to the theatre, pumped blood into him, fixed drip into him before we began stitching the cut portions of his body”.

Miss Eboma said her quick intervention saved the life of poor Afam. She said the police in the community came for investigations and his relations were invited to the police station for statement. “Afam is still undergoing treatment, when he came there was so much bleeding, leading to loss of so much blood but we gave him blood before we started the treatment”, Miss Eboma added.

For Ndudi Chiedozie, it was between the devil and the deep blue sea; he narrowly escaped death by the whiskers. Some members of the Fulani herdsmen had mercy on him; hence his deliverance from the jaws of death. According to Chiedozie, he was confronted on the way from the farm where one of the three herdsmen demanded water from him. He declined giving him water citing their misbehaviour in the area. But that response was his undoing. The angry herdsman snatched the water from him, drank it and cut the container into pieces and thereafter, stretched the cutlass to butcher him. But it seemed the gods favoured him.

He said the other members of the herdsmen pleaded with his assailant to let him go, having taken his water by force. Besides cutting his gallon of water, he also cut his bike, making it useless to him. Chiedozie said, “They were three in number, he didn’t give others from the water. He drank the water alone, then used his cutlass to destroy my bicycle and thereafter stretched his cutlass to end my life. It was the other members of his gang that begged him to leave me alone, if not he would have finished my life on the road.”

Chiedozie, who is both angry and now afraid to go to the farm, said their farms have been destroyed by the animals as their cassava farms have been leveled, leaving them in hunger and starvation. Their only means of livelihood, he said, is the cassava farm which the cattle have destroyed. Hence, he said “we are very sad, we are not happy at all. We want them to leave our land, that is my opinion. Let them leave our land so that we can have peace of mind”.

The youth President, Lucky Ijibueze, expressed utmost sadness over the development. He said for over three years, the herdsmen have been unleashing havoc on the community dwellers. He said they have been doing much evil, raping women and abusing their girls in the farms. According to him, “If you meet them in your farm and say aboki, abeg oo, leave my farm, they will shoot you and cut you with cutlass. That is the battle we are facing in this village. The community now does not know what to do. Every day, our women are afraid to go to the farm. If men do not accompany their wives to the bush, they cannot go alone. We are confused in this village, we don’t know what to do”.

He said the Fulani herdsmen have overtaken the community as they now seem to be the owners and landlords of the area. He alleged that the Fulani herdsmen at times shoot in the presence of policemen but no one dares apprehend them. To him, the situation has become so pathetic, noting that their silence was not weakness on their part but they are peace-loving, unwilling to fight back, knowing that such retaliation could lead to unforeseen disaster that could have monumental impact on the village.

“Not that we can’t arrange boys to fight the Fulani men, but we feel like maintaining peace in our community. If we do as they are doing, you will see government arranging police to arrest our boys. It’s not that they are stronger than us, they are not stronger than us at all. It is the interpretation that government will give to our action that is making us to be silent. My suggestion is let all these people leave our village, they have a place where they came from, let them go back to their place, that’s all we want”.

Also, the chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC), Kingsley Okoh, said the herdsmen have been terrorizing the community for over 10 years, mostly their farmlands. He said they kill with the gun, butcher with the machete and intimidate the people without provocation. “What happens is that any time our people mistakenly meet them in the farm, they challenge the person and when you try to beg them, please go out of my farm, they would use machete or gun on the challenger. Last year, their activities were so bad, so rampant in this village. And the butchering of this Afam is the latest of their onslaught on the village. Their motorcycles and bicycles were burnt by the men. This is too much for us to bear. We are no longer comfortable with their activities”, he said.

But against the wish of his people who are of the opinion that government should send them packing from the state, Okoh said rather than doing that, the state government should confine them to a particular area where they could take care of their cattle. To him, sending them packing is not the best option. “One man’s food is another man’s poison. My own view is that they should confine them totally out of the villages. They can be confined to places like Asaba and Warri where there are no much farming activities. There are cows in Abuja but they are not destroying things as they do here. If we say government should send them packing, what about our people in the North?” he asked.

The traditional ruler of the village, Okpara Uku Ijibeze, said many years back, cattle rearers were known to control animals with sticks but they have resorted to gun and machetes. But rather than using the gun to protect the animals, they now use it on fellow Nigerians. To him, this is inhuman and barbaric. He said his people no longer go to the farm for fear of the herdsmen. Like the view of many of his subjects, the Okpara Uku said the best option is for government to send the men out of the community for there to be peace in the area.

He said law enforcement agents should send them packing to their states and leave the village alone. “Our people are no longer going to the farm for fear of the herdsmen. I don’t want to see them again in our land. We’ve been reporting to the police and the State House of Assembly members but they are not doing anything. The chairman of Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Nkechi Chukwurah and the House of Assembly member representing the local government, Friday Osanebi, have all failed us. Let Governor Ifeanyi Okowa come to our aid”, the traditional ruler pleaded.

A community member, Patrick Onwuemene, also threw his weight against the activities of the herdsmen in the village. He said there is now hunger in the village because the people no longer go to farm for fear of being attacked by the herdsmen. He said the attack started since four years ago. Though the village youths could fight as a revenge against the Fulani activities, he said they are a peace-loving people who resent fighting against neighbours. He expressed fear over the survival of the butchered Afam who was in the clinic as at the time of filing this report.

Onwuemene, who was a driller but now farms on yam and cassava, faulted the present government of President Muhammadu Buhari. According to him, the change the Federal Government promised is yet to come. “The new government told us they want to bring change but the change has worsened the whole situation in the country. Where are we heading to in Nigeria? Are we heading to doom or where? We are not happy over the developments in the country. I can’t be in my own village and not have food to eat because of Fulani herdsmen”, he said.

He is also of the view that the herdsmen should leave the community. “We want government to step in and send them back to their land. They are from the North, let them return to their land. They should leave our territory so that peace will return to our land”, he added

BUHARI MOVES AGAINST NNAMDI KANU’S APPEAL ^Featured

The federal government urged the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, the nation’s capital to dismiss the suit instituted by Nnamdi Kanu – Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, along with other agitators instituted a suit against the federal government calling their release.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, with two other agitators named David Nwawusi and Benjamin Madubugwu, went to the Court of Appeal challenging their detention in what they called, “strange procedure.” The three Biafra agitators are facing a six-count treason charge.

They asked the Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja, not to continue with their trial, until the determination of their consolidated appeal. The three men said that Justice John Tsoho did not accept hearing the trial. He only allowed the prosecution council to shield the identity of the eight witnesses, that would testify in the case. Justice Tsoho at the same time, refused to discharge and acquit the three men, citing the prayer under section 351(1) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.‎ ‎

The three agitators’ lawyer, Chief Chuks Muoma, SAN, opined that the trial judge, Justice Tsoho, made some mistakes, “when having refused the application for the witnesses of the prosecution to testified behind screens, or masked,” on February 19, “suddenly varied the said order in the ruling delivered on March 7, 2016, on a mere oral application by the respondent.”

They said this was on what was in tandem with the mere oral application by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Mr. Mohammed Diri. ‎ In the DPP’s submission, he said: “My lord this is because they are already receiving threats from associates of the defendants that they will be dealt with.

The witnesses said they love their lives and requested that their identities be shielded from people who are coming to witness the proceeding.”

The Biafran war, fought between Nigeria and Biafra from the years 1967-1970 has been recorded as the most brutal civil war any black Nation has ever witnessed. With the help of the British, innocent young people, mostly women and children numbering close to 6 million lost their lives.

The leadership the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has infused a new spirit into the struggle for self-determination.This spirit has awoken from its slumber the drive to exhibit the fundamental human right under the rule of law to protest the Buhari lead Administration. This Nigerian government has unleashed terror on the innocent citizens who are seeking a better life and good governance for their children and future generation.

Scores have been killed by the Department of State Security (DSS), including those shot by the combination of both military and police personnel. Despite Amnesty International being aware of these heinous crimes, the United Nations lead by Ban Ki-Moon and world leaders have kept quiet. Nigerian security forces continue to kill Biafrans in secret, attacking street vendors who sell newspapers with anything concerning Biafra. The Buhari led government has even destroyed Coca-cola customized products and their warehouses that were made especially for Biafra awareness.

Is Nigeria meant to be democratic or an autocracy?

The Nigerian state is presently suffering from governmental incompetence, human rights abuses, and a lack of justice for the ordinary man. Ironically the government’s policies have backfired. Buhari believes the killing of unarmed innocent civilians will subdue the struggle. Yet by attacking and jailing Nnamdi Kanu they have ended up making him the most influential personality of the century. The struggle for self-determination of the people of Biafra has now become a global one.

The crux of the issue now is convincing those who think the Biafran protests are merely a mirage that they should wake up from and face the new reality that there is no going back. The message to the world must be clear that the level of insecurity that Nigerian government operates in, is total. We don’t want what happened in 1967-1970 to happen again. Despite the Biafran willingness to lead a peaceful struggle, how long shall we fold our arms and watch our citizen been killed in cold blood?

“I will lead a 500,000000 Million man march that will crack Nigeria globally!” Those were the words of the brave Biafraian and we are getting close to it. Both local and International media, organizations, world leaders are now getting up to see the injustice that has been meted out to the people of Biafra by the central authorities in Buhari’s so called Nigeria.

Considering where we began, much has been achieved and yet more needs to be done. There is no going back on Biafran independence. There is a deep lack of credibility in Nigeria concerning the independence of the judiciary system. This has added to the ordinary citizen lacking any confidence in all aspects of the government’s relationship with the broader society. We have all seen this in the ongoing case of Nnamdi Kanu the Leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra and the Nigerian government.

The Mohammed Buhari lead Administration has taken the whole pf Nigeria for granted and it is very imperative to remind him that he can’t eat his cake and have it also. It is not going to be like those days when he refused to appear before a tribunal on charges corruption.

We call on all well-meaning lovers of freedom especially the Israeli government to take a stand and look into the issue of Biafra and Nigeria’s Christians in order to help lead them to freedom from the oppression of the Islamic state of Mohammed Buhari.

Biafra: IPOB rejects Buratai’s committee probing killing of its members

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has rejected the committee set up by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-General Tukur Buratai to investigate the alleged killing of pro-Biafra protesters in Aba, Abia state.
Rejecting Buratai’s committee, IPOB, in a statement signed by its spokespersons, Emma Mmezu and Clifford Iroanya, said the group “is fundamentally riddled with conflict of interest and lacks the moral compass to conduct quality investigation in a case of this magnitude.”
Rather than have the committee proposed by the Army Chief, the pro-Biafra group called for the setting up of an unbiased international team that will investigate the said killings.
The statement reads: “IPOB has noted that the Nigerian Chief of Army Staff and Borno State born Lt.-Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, openly confessed and admitted that soldiers of the Nigerian Army opened fire and killed defenceless Biafrans who were conducting prayer sessions inside the football field of Ngwa High Schoool, Aba in Abia State.
“This genocidal action of the Nigerian Army happened on February 9, 2016. According to newspaper reports, Lt. Gen. Buratai argued that his soldiers could not have opened fire on the activists without provocation. The Army Chief further stated that tge army has rules of engagement, the troops cannot just open fire.
“While dismissing the constitutionally-backed respect for human rights and sanctity of human lives as guaranteed in section-33 of the 1999 Constitution, Lt.-Gen. Buratai boasted that in situations that entail the use of fire, the protection of human rights does not apply.”
“In his display of crass ignorance of the constitution and the laws of Nigeria, the Army Chief surmised that the 1999 Constitution, and the Armed Forces Act, all provided for the use of force when necessary.
“But we could not locate in any of the 320 sections and seven schedules of the 1999 Constitution, which section that supported the dastardly acts of his soldiers. Neither did we find in any of the 292 sections and four schedules of the Armed Forces Act, CAP – A20 LFN 2004, where it stipulated the shooting of unarmed, peaceful civilians in peacetime within the Federation of Nigeria.

“In addition, the civilized world will be interested to know what the Nigerian Army’s Rules of Engagement (ROE) are when confronted with Christians praying in a secluded ground. In his conclusion, Lt.-Gen. Buratai assured that “we are already investigating it. When such incidents involve the loss of lives we usually conduct an investigation – that is our procedure. “From every word in the confessions of Lt.-Gen. Buratai, it is now indisputable that unarmed Biafrans were mowed down by the Nigerian soldiers. The IPOB do hereby demand the convocation of an impartial investigative team and not the group hurriedly set up by the Army Chief considering that the Army is the aggressor in this case.
“We further assert that the only credible entity which can carry out in-depth investigation is the International Criminal Court, ICC, in The Hague. The so-called investigating team arranged by the COAS is fundamentally riddled with conflict of interest and lacks the moral compass to conduct quality investigation in a case of this magnitude.
“Therefore, the United Nations Human Rights Commission and other allied organizations should intervene and work with the ICC to conduct a thorough investigation now that the Nigerian Army through Lt.-Gen. Buratai have confessed that they actually shot and killed unarmed Biafrans at Aba on the 9th of February 2016

Buhari’s continue to throw his undying support for Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) self-determination and independence, but clamping down on Biafran agitators in Nigeria. Buhari since coming into power as a so-called democratic leader ordered the arrest of the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra and director of radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu on the 18th October 2015. Since then millions of IPOB all around the world kept protesting and calling for the release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

But the tragic part of all this is that over 3000 indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB) protesting peacefully have been gunned down on the streets of Nigeria, by the Nigeria armed forces. Buhari keep ordering the killing of innocent Biafrans who simply ask to exercise their right to self-determination, but he throws his arms of support around Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and Palestinians who also ask for the same self-determination. What a hypocrite!

Christians in Nigeria are now becoming uncomfortable with the invents unfolding towards Buhari's plan to Islamise Nigeria. Christians Elders continue to warn Buhari, saying Nigeria is not a satellite state of S’ Arabia. The National Christian Elders Forum (NCEF), has condemned what it described as a one-side decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to include Nigeria into the membership of the Saudi Arabia Military Coalition of “Muslim/Arab” nations, warning that he should pull out before it would be too late.
Chairman of NCEF, Mr. Solomon Asemota (SAN) gave this warning at press briefing on the 18th of March 2016 in Abuja. Also the prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria also warned president Buhari on his plan to Islamise Nigeria, “We are closely watching this government because we are aware there is a game plan to Islamise Nigeria, and they are using the Fulani herdsmen to initiate it before they fully launch it out". - Samuel Uche. Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state also blasted President Buhari over his plans to turn Nigeria into an Islamic nation, “They have started subtle moves to make Nigeria an Islamic nation, but God will stop them. This was done in 1984, it failed, it would fail again,” he said.
This is not the first time a sitting president has tried to impose Islam on Nigeria. A group known as “Islamists” has been working secretly over the years to supplant Liberal Democracy with Sharia as the “source of legislation” in Nigeria, over and above the Constitution. Murtala Muhammed in 1975, did not hide their preference for the imposition of Islamism upon Nigeria. General Babangida also played his part but he merely extended Islamism to the South of Nigeria by Nigeria’s full membership in the OIC. Thus, in 1981 the race to make Nigeria an Islamic state was accelerated. While Islam is a religion, Islamism, otherwise called “political Islam”, “is a set of ideologies that holds that Islam is not only a religion but a political system” and this is what president Buhari have been trying to accomplish, where most others has failed. Buhari and his follow Islamists believe Islam is meant to dominate the environment in which it is practiced. Presently, the Islamists control the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary in Nigeria. Islamists “Hate” democracy and believes that it is a “man-made” law that must give way for “God made” law, which is Sharia. Islamists, as opposed to Muslims that practice Islam as a religion, will go to every possible length to eradicate democracy in any society so that Sharia can be introduced. And this is what Buhari and his fellow islamists are trying to accomplish in Nigeria.

Buhari, who willingly turned a blind eye to a lot of event going on under his government in a bid to islamise Nigeria, Kaduna is now under complete islamisation, while Christian young girls are been abducted in Nigeria and forced into early marriage, while they are also fiercely been converted into Islam without the consent of their parents. Also According to media report by eye witnesses, over 600 Nigerians were allegedly massacred by the Hausa-Fulani herdsmen and many communities were devastated in the attacks. It is most shocking that till today, there has been no prosecution of any of these marauders by Buhari's government and yet president Buhari claims his not trying to Islamise Nigeria, while trying to pay lip service to democracy and claims to support it but sends his army to shoot down innocent civilian, how convenient. Buhari ‘s ten months in office, a number of worrisome issues readily come to mind:
1. The apparent disregard for the Constitution, by President Buhari in many instances. For example, N900 billion was released in bailout package for states without Appropriation, the government was run for five months without a Cabinet, international commitment are being made without recourse to the National Assembly. Killing of innocent IPOB, and illegally arresting their leader, Nnamdi Kanu. All these are acts violating the Constitution.
2) Including Nigeria in the Saudi Arabia Military Coalition of “Muslim/Arab” nations would appear that the Foreign Policy thrust of the present administration is to make Nigeria a satellite state of Saudi Arabia. The strengthening of the nation’s democracy and security for all should remain the greatest priority of Government. This we see to have been negated by the President’s fiat/unilateral decision to enlist Nigeria in the 34 nations Muslim/Arab coalition. Given the emotive and sensitive nature of this unilateral Executive decision, it should have been handled by President Buhari in line with our democratic culture through popular discussion and participation by the citizenry, or at the very least, through the National Assembly.

3) Attempt to fund deficit in the 2016 Budget through issuance of Sukkuk loan which is a “Sharia compliant loan.” Nigeria is not a Sharia compliant nation.

4) The consideration of establishing “free visa” arrangement with Islamic D8 nations. These countries are: Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan, Turkey, and of course, Nigeria.

5) The apparent Islamization of key security positions in the country.

6) The apparent disdain and contempt of President Buhari for Christians in Nigeria as demonstrated during his interview on Al – Jazeera on the objection of Christians to Nigeria’s involvement in the Saudi led Military Coalition to fight ISIS. The British, in their characteristic divide and rule policy, left Nigeria with democracy in the hands of Islamists, knowing full well that democracy and Islamism cannot peacefully co-habit.
With all this happenings, evidence and facts, it’s very obvious president Buhari plan to Islamise Nigeria has already started.

I feel certainly disappointed writing this letter to the people of Israel and her government. Have we not screamed and wailed enough to be heard? Has FAMILY WRITERS not written enough to familiarize our ordeal? Has evidence of genocide not circulated enough? Nor has Israel not heard of our slavery in this Egypt called Nigeria? FAMILY WRITERS has evidently written about our horror, slavery, subjugation and injustices. RADIOBIAFRA has done more than any firm on this earth to exposing truth. By virtue of this, Israel will not tell me "she" is unaware. I make bold my disappointment because Israel is our biological home; I should not call Israel because what affects Biafra affects Israel. We are same father and blood even though we are found residing in Africa. Israeli government must not wait to be called upon before Israelites in Africa is saved from extermination.

When I was a little kid; my father used to tell me Biafra is the real Israel while my mother argued Biafra is from the house of Israel. Right from my childhood; Israel became part of me. If Israel is facing any threat, I solemnly go on my knees and pray thus "God, Israel is your foundation on earth, never allow any harm upon us". It is really frustrating that despite killing Biafrans, arresting Nnamdi kanu and destroying our existence and belief. Buhari still went to United Nations submit and declared openly his support for Palestine. He recently declared his support for Western Sahara; these people are fighting for independence; even when Palestine has no indigenous land,he still supported them while slaughtering Biafrans seeking same independence in a most lawful and peaceful way. He goes round the world backing Islamic brothers on self-determination quest; even when Nigeria has no power or relevance he still backed Islamic states with resources from Biafra-Israel land.

It beats my apprehension; that Israel has not openly declared support for her flesh and blood. Islam will consume us if this silence continues and the God of Israel will not forgive us.... In 1967; genocide of equal proportion with your holocaust came upon us; we shared same fate of different timing. Israel conquered and took her inheritance while Biafra-Israel lost- 3.5million. By virtue of that loss, we went back to Egypt of our old. We are under slavery, injustice and misery has overwhelmed us. We are killed in hundreds, arrested and tortured like orphans. Nnamdi Kanu our leader was arrested and even when we sought justice from Nigerian court; they have only battered us and left us worthless.
What was our crime? We wanted freedom to worship God of Israel without losing our heads. We wanted freedom that every man may live without infringement. We have only peacefully demanded for this freedom from Islamic Nigeria. We have never raised a stick, thrown a pebble or took up any arm. We have only lawfully and peacefully protested. Even when we came out to make our supplications to God of Israel-our God, we were massacred; they have sustained genocide against us. They have sworn to exterminate us even as we are being forced to disappear. Chemical weapons used against us while nobody talks. Life is becoming hopeless and miserable but I believe that God of Israel has not forgotten His children (Biafrans).

Should I start all over to state our total disenfranchisement? The oil that gave them money for 1989 Abuja declaration aimed at denying us our religion is ours. Our land is contaminated and in decay while their land is built at the detriment of ours. Our people kidnapped and raped, forced to convert to Islam and killed in Jihad. They have sworn that Sharia shall be implemented. They impose strange God, doctrine and culture on us. Our refusal to admitting it results to our death. They want our land without needing us and fight to implement their Islamization agenda with funds raised from our land.

We are economically and politically marginalized; they planned to keep us in slavery and subjugation because they fear our rise will motivate freedom quest. They have murdered and keep murdering us. What a mental and emotional torture to continue living and being exploited by murderers of our own and parents. Meanwhile, we have peacefully demanded to go home. We want this affliction called Nigeria to be lifted upon us.

I am disappointingly writing because Biafran problem should be Israeli problem. If I feel the blood covenant with Israel; then Israel should feel same way and wait not to be called upon before she saves her flesh and blood at the mercy of Islamization. Biafrans shall choose death over Islam; the Islamization going on in Nigeria will only consume the Israelites enslaved in Nigeria.

I therefore call upon the people of Israel and her government to remember "she" is the arm of God of Abraham our father. There should never be a situation where Israel leaves his blood and flesh to sustain this second phase of genocide that started since 30th of August 2015. We are the core Jews and our wish or desire to return to our tradition and indigenous home should not warrant the injustice, incarceration and genocide we are facing today. If Israel stays idle without leading the charge for Russia, US etc to follow then I had doubt that blood is thicker than water.

DSS Threatened To Kill Me Like They Did M.K.O Abiola – Says Nnamd

Leader of the Independent Peoples of Biafra and founder of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, has accused officials of the Department of State Services of threatening to kill him like the winner of the annulled June 12, 1993, presidential election, Chief M.K.O Abiola.

The late business mogul died on July 7, 1998, in controversial circumstances while he was detained by the military government.
Kanu’s lawyer, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, made the claim at a press briefing on Friday evening. .
Ejiofor criticised the security agency and the Federal Government for disregarding several court orders to release the pro-Biafra activist despite meeting his bail conditions.

The lawyer said, “(It is) very instructive to note at this juncture that we were reliably informed by Nnamdi Kanu that during the period of his arrest and unlawful incarceration in the custody of the DSS, he was threatened to be killed by the investigating officers, if he refused to cooperate with them. He was also told that Abiola was murdered in a manner that remained shrouded in secrecy; that he would be killed in similar manner, if he refused to drop his agitation for self-determination.
“He was further informed by the investigating officers that they had the backing and approval of powers that be to send him to his grave. And in response, Nnamdi Kanu assured them that killing him would not stop the agitation of the Indigenous People of Biafra for self-determination; that killing him in the manner being expressed by them would rather attract the wrath of God on the families of those that kill him; that not only them but their generations unborn will be visited by the wrath of God.”

That Kanu, who was arrested by the DSS on the October 14, 2015, in Lagos on his arrival from the United Kingdom, was arraigned by the secret service before the Chief Magistrate Court Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, on October 19, for alleged criminal conspiracy, managing and belonging to an unlawful society, and criminal intimidation contrary to sections 97, 97B and 397 of the Penal Code.
The court, presided over by Justice Shuabi, granted Kanu bail on the same day, while the suspect promptly satisfied the bail conditions but the DSS refused to release him, his lawyer said.
Kanu was charged with treasonable felony under Section 41 of the Criminal Code for allegedly belonging to and managing an unlawful society (IPOB).

His lawyer however denied the allegation, stating that, “It is of note that Nnamdi Kanu was never caught or arrested with any firearm, weapon or ammunition of any form. Radio Biafra as well as the Indigenous People of Biafra is respectively registered under the regulatory laws of the United Kingdom and United Nations. Certificates to the effect of these registrations are herein attached.
“The two dane guns listed among their exhibits and purportedly recovered in the course of their purported investigation at the residence of Benjamin Madubugwu are dane guns used for animal hunting, which are fully licensed. In the real sense of it, can these dane guns be used in levying war against the state in the manner specified under Section 41 of the Criminal Code Act?”

As always, Nigerians have continued to be docile even as impunity grows at an alarming rate, they have continued to ignore a faulty democracy that is speedily transmuting into an oligarchical dynasty. What appears to be a democratic system of government, within a secular state comprising of a mixture of Christians and Muslims, has continued to transform into a monstrous Islamic tyranny, against the people’s will, but yet, they have remained passive. Internationally and locally, the knowledge of an impending doom was aptly made known to Nigerians, but they decided to turn deaf ears. Nigerians were vehemently warned against a looming catastrophe, but they chose to ignore the clarion call.
The vision of an imminent danger was clearly revealed to the Nigerian public, but they were deceived by a false image of integrity. When a man takes a 500 dollar-worth product of yours and says, “I will give you money”, he can decide to either give you 1 cent or give you 1 dollar. Whatever be the case, he can confidently tell someone else that he has actually given you money. Therefore, it would be most appropriate to ascertain the amount of money that he wishes to give to you, so that you can both reach a befitting agreement on the price of the product. When the APC-led administration came up with the jingle – change, Nigerians were so gullible that they ignored the relevance of ascertaining if they meant a positive change or a negative change.
There have been numerous records of state-sponsored terrorism by the Nigerian government through its armed forces, but the government-controlled media outfits are known to deliberately ignore such incidents. The latest act of terror is the ban on news outlets that occasionally and independently report about Biafra, the confiscation of newspapers that have reports on Biafra and the apprehension and torture of newspaper vendors. This is the height of human right abuse and a slap on the face of democracy and freedom of expression. The Nigerian government under the leadership of Muhammadu Buhari, with this singular act, has made a mockery of democracy.

The incident of newspaper confiscation and ban of publishers is an act that is of a catastrophic consequence. Nigerian soldiers who presumably came from the 144 battalion under Ohafia 14 brigade in Aba, Abia state, were said to have invaded newsstands on the 15th of March 2016, apprehended innocent vendors and carted away their newspapers. This is a gross violation of press freedom, human right and a contravention of the freedom of information bill and should not be condoned. These nefarious acts by the Nigerian armed forces, which they have admitted to, should be condemned by all and sundry and perpetrators brought to book accordingly.

The government of Nigeria has continued to perpetrate gross acts of injustice and has continued to terrorise innocent citizens with impunity, therefore, should no longer be ignored by the international community given the current situation. It has displayed acts of irresponsibility, hence, should be summoned and cautioned by the United Nations and other well-meaning organisations around the world. The governments of the world should not continue to watch Nigeria as it reduces the value of life in Nigeria and destroys the very essence of living.
The Muhammadu Buhari-led government of Nigeria should be made to understand the need to desist from its primitive gruesomeness as it concerns the handling of civil matters. The United Nations as well as the international community should also not be sending the signals that they can only mediate in matters that have metamorphosed into war, therefore should as a matter of urgency, give the Biafran question the attention that it deserves.

DSS said the court can't save me - Kanu

Detained leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Biafra Radio, Dr Nnamdi Kanu, has said that state security officials told him that the courts could not save him.

Kanu said through one of his lawyers, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, that operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) told him while he was in their custody that both the courts in Nigeria and the British government cannot save him in his bid to regain his freedom.

Kanu, who is facing a six-count treason charge, asserted that he is a victim of persecution by the Federal Government and its agents which have continued to violate his human rights through his prolonged incarceration.

Through one of his lawyers, the IPOB leader expressed his readiness to face trial, adding that what he wants is a “fair trial and not persecution.”

In a statement by the counsel, Mr. Ejiofor, which was made available to The AUTHORITY, Kanu said he was wrongly arrested and detained.

Kanu has already filed a suit before the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Court of Justice against the violation of his rights.

In the fundamental enforcement rights suit he filed before the ECOWAS Court, Kanu prayed for requisite redress under the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights and other International Conventions to which Nigeria is a signatory.

He said: “We were reliably informed by Nnamdi Kanu that his persecutors told him in the course of their interrogation that even the British government cannot secure his freedom, as the courts should go ahead and make orders they like but none would be obeyed,” Ejiofor said.

It was the submissions of his counsel that the unlawful detention of his client from October 14, 2015 till January 20, 2016, without any lawful order of the court, and in flagrant disobedience of orders of courts of competent jurisdiction, all directing for his unconstitutional release and discharge, amounted to a gross violation of his fundamental human rights.

Ejiofor, who chronicled all the alleged breaches of Kanu’s fundamental human rights, recounted that the Chief Magistrates’ Court in Abuja specified in the First Information Report originally filed against him, had discharged his client of all bogus and frivolous allegations against him but “the Department of State Security that dragged him to court refused to obey the orders of the same court”.

According to the statement: “Recall that on December 29, 2015, during the Presidential Media Chat, the President told the whole world that Nnamdi Kanu cannot be granted bail, alleging that he came into the country without a valid travelling passport. This pronouncement was roundly condemned by both local and international commentators. His pronouncement was viewed as a clear usurpation of the functions and powers of the judiciary.

“Though very regrettable and extremely unfortunate, Nnamdi Kanu was refused bail on January 29, 2016. In refusing him and other defendants bail, the court also cited the facts of his possession of dual passports as a flight risk, and as such held that he cannot be granted bail,” he said.

This position, according to Ejiofor “was in keeping in line with the pronouncement of the President of the Federal Republic if Nigeria in his media chat on December 29, 2015. It is a case of a witch crying in the night and a baby dying in the morning.

“The same Kanu who has been announced to the whole world to have sneaked into the country without a valid passport, now has his two valid passports (British and Nigerian) seized by the operatives of the DSS.

“A formal application to secure the release of these two passports was made in open court by Nnamdi Kanu’s defence team in February 9, 2016, which the learned trial judge in his ruling delivered on that same day refused to grant. This is a clear indication that Nnamdi Kanu came into the country with valid travelling passports contrary to the erroneous views expressed at the media chat.”

The AUTHORITY recalls that Justice John Tsoho had on January 29, denied bail to Kanu and two other pro-Biafra agitators, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi, who are facing trial with him. The trio are answering to a six-count treason charge that was preferred against them by the federal government.

Kanu, who was hitherto the Director of Radio Biafra and Television, has been in detention since October 14, 2015, when he was arrested by security operatives upon his arrival to Nigeria from his base in the United Kingdom. The defendants were in the charge that was signed by the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, Mr. Mohammed Diri, alleged to have committed treasonable felony, an offence punishable under Section 41(C) of the Criminal Code Act, CAP C38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria.

FG alleged that they were the ones managing the affairs of IPOB which it described as “an unlawful society”. Specifically, Kanu was alleged to have illegally smuggled radio transmitters into Nigeria, which he used to disseminate “hate broadcasts”, encouraging the “secession of the Republic of Biafra”, from Nigeria.

However, the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charge on January 20, even as the court ordered their remand at Kuje Prison in Abuja.

Obiano ought to know there is always a time of reckoning. Biafrans have long memory. One day he would vacate the Government House at Akwa. Then he would pay for all his atrocities.

The attention of all Nigerians and members of the international community are drawn to the fact that clock is speedily ticking for the duo of the outgoing Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase and the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai to account locally and internationally for “regime- atrocities” they committed while in service as Nigeria’s Police IGP and Army COAS (chief of army staff).

The Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force under their commands in the country’s current democratic dispensation of President Muhammadu Buhari have recorded and still record worst human rights abuses (State killings and terror) in the country’s democratic history, to the extent that in the past ten months, over 1000 State murders are credited to their names and killer-securitization responsibilities.

These they perpetrated through policy statements and issuances and conducts. Their gross incompetence and incapacities have also led to killing by malicious non-State actors of over 3000 citizens in the past 10 months. As the country’s chief and auxiliary internal security providers, they incompetently failed to secure the lives of these murdered Nigerians.

In the course of their disastrous eras as Nigeria’s Army and Police chiefs, they conducted and still conduct themselves as outlaws and incorrigible; forgetting that “power is transient” and nothing last forever as well as the fact that “there is always tomorrow to fall on and yesterday to fall back on”. Even when reminded plainly and constructively of their involvements in the dastardly killing of innocent citizens in peacetime and future dire consequences of their atrocious conducts; the duo would not only boast and justify their atrocious acts but also threaten to kill more innocent citizens like IPOB and Shiite members so as to “dissuade others from trying the might of soldiers and personnel of the Nigeria Police Force”.

Stark instances are the killing of 705 Shiite members in Zaria on 12th and 13th of December 2015 for “blocking the convoy of the COAS”; killing of 13 IPOB members in Onitsha on 17th of December 2015 for “jubilating over court-ordered release of Citizen Nnamdi Kanu”; and killing of another 22 IPOB members in Aba on 9th of February 2016 “for gathering in a school compound to pray for the release of Citizen Nnamdi Kanu”.

There are also other senseless killings by soldiers in Rivers State and war-like bombings and massacre of villagers in parts of the Niger Delta for the purpose of “oil colonization” and under the guise of “fighting sea pirates, etc”.

Today, time has come for the duo of COAS and IGP to account. End of “uniform or khaki immunity and impunity” is almost here, if not certainly here and now. Accountability litigation actions against the duo under reference are mounting locally, regionally and internationally in numerous jurisdictionally competent courts; both for personal and vicarious culpabilities.

The consequences of this are that once “boss-client and uniform/khaki immunities” being used by the referenced to commit their regime-atrocities are gone, local and international accountabilities follow. Mr. Solomon E. Arase (AP16474), according to the “Staff List for Senior Police Officers: CSP-IGP of 24th of January 2014” was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on 1st of December 1981.

He hails from Oredo in Edo State and was born on 21st of June 1956. He was promoted AIG on 22nd of February 2012 and became IGP on 15th of April 2015. He will retire officially or statutorily on 21st of June 2016 after attaining 60years of retirement age, according to Nigeria’s Public Service Rule (2008). He has paper degrees in political science and law.

For Lt Gen Tukur Buratai (COAS), he was born on 24th of November 1960 at Buratai town in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State. He was enlisted into the Nigerian Army via the Nigerian Defense Academy on 3rd of January 1981 as a member of 29 Regular Combatant Course 29 (29 RC) where he obtained a National Certificate in Education (NCE). He became a Second Lieutenant on 17th of December 1983 after.

By Nigeria’s Public Service Rule (2008:28-29), the compulsory retirement age for all grades in the service shall be 60 years or 35 years of pensionable service whichever is earlier. The Rule further states that no officer shall be allowed to remain in service after attaining the retirement age of 60 years of punishable service whichever is earlier and that provision of (i) and (ii) of the rule is without prejudice to prevailing requirements for judicial officers and academic staffs of universities who retire at 70 and 65 years respectively.

Going by this rule, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai ought to have retired on 3rd of January 2016 on completion of 35 years of service. Generally, the minimum age for enlisting into the Nigerian Armed Forces is put at 18 years old for voluntary service and at 60 years or after putting in 35 years of service according to the Federal Civil Service Rule.

In other countries, such as the United States, military officers are expected to put a minimum of 20 years of service and a maximum of 30 years, according to the department of defense directive. An officer can be enlisted in the force at the age of 17. In Britain, officers are enlisted into the force at the age of 16 and are expected to put in at least 18 years of service. In Africa, Ghana enlists officers at the age of 18 and retires officers at 50 years while in South Africa, officers stay in active service until they are 60 years and could be enlisted at the age of 18 (Source: Vanguard, December 28, 2012).

However, there is the Harmonized Terms and Condition of Services Officers (HTACOS), 2012 (Revised). HTACOS was intended to make retirement age in the military (army, navy and air force) different from other personnel or public servants of the Federal Government. The HTACOS was also meant to scrap the years of service of 35 years of service and fully embraced the age on rank bracket. This means that as long as officers and men of the Nigerian military pass the necessary promotion board examinations, they would not be retired just because they have served 35 years. But that will now depend on their Run- Out -Date (ROD).

But the HTACOS was further designed to start with the 36th Course (C36) and their equivalents and above. The 36th Course members were the first set to start full degree programs at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA). Before then, Courses 1 to 35 (including Lt Gen Buratai’s Course 29) studied and graduated with the National Certificate in Education (NCE) from the NDA. This means that while Course 36 and above will benefit from all the provisions of the HTACOS, their seniors, Courses 1 to 35, will not have the full benefits. Course 17 is the oldest still in service (source: Guardian, October 8, 2012).

From the foregoing analysis, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai having been excluded from HTACOS of 2012 on account of his belonging to Course 29 of NDA; ought to have been retired statutorily since 3rd of January 2016 after attaining the mandatory 35 years of service in the Nigerian Army having been enlisted into the Nigerian Army as a cadet officer on 3rd of January 1981.

We are fully aware that the Buhari administration’s affront to rule of law and due process has risen to an apogee and may most likely continue in the case of the COAS; by retaining him against the laws of the land as he has always done. But we want to put it on record and consciousness of all Nigerians and members of the international community and Lt Gen Tukur Buratai himself that the end of his dark era is speedily nearing when he will inescapably answer for his “regime atrocities” (killing of 705 Shiite and over 80 IPOB activists, among others, in conjunction with retiring IGP Solomon Arase). That is to say that someday soonest, he will hang his khaki and join the civil populace.

It is true that the Federation of Nigeria is still paying billions of naira compensations from international court verdicts for Obasanjo’s atrocities in Odi and Zakibiam in early 2000s, but himself and those he ordered to commit such crimes against humanity somehow walk freely till date because some international mechanisms now in place such as ICC and UN special crimes courts were yet to be in force them. The ICC Statute, for instance, came into force 1st July 2002; two years after the Odi and Zakibiam massacres and it does not have retroactive criminal jurisdictions.

The worst retirement life is that under which the retiree cocoons himself or herself and sneaks in and out of countries and places where he or she visits because of monumental “regime atrocities” committed while in office. Regional and international fugitiveness or criminal indictment or pursuit to account for atrocity crimes is worse than criminal conviction and sentencing. The fate of the likes of Omar Hassan El-Bashir of Sudan and his atrocious “Janjaweed” commander (Sheik Musa Hilal) in Darfur and his Minister in charge of Humanitarian Affairs & Darfur (Ahmad Muhammad Harun) is a clear case in point.

Nigeria will join the Saudi Arabia led coalition of Muslim countries against terrorism, President Muhammadu Buhari has said.

Mr. Buhari stated this in an interview with Aljazeera Television.

“We are part of it because we have got terrorists in Nigeria that everybody knows which claims that they are Islamic,” the Nigerian president said in reference to Boko Haram, the group whose activities has caused the death of about 20,000 people since 2009.

Mr. Buhari’s decision to push Nigeria into the coalition announced by Saudi Arabia last December appears to have been taken after a meeting with Saudi King, Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz.

President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria after a 5-day vacation and medical break in the United Kingdom.

“The petitioner further avers that he knows for a fact that the respondent committed adultery with and had an intimate, sexual relationship with his own father, General Olusegun Obasanjo, in order to get contracts from the government. This shameless man who should bury himself in shame,he publicly exposed his self's sexual lust against his own biological son. obasanjo said Biafra is dead,my question for him are,

(1) who killed Biafra? (2) is Biafra really dead and the world is talking about it everyday? The former special adviser to the ex-president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Ango Abdullahi has expressed concern with the way President Muhammadu Buhari is running the country.

Speaking in Zaria, Kaduna State, Abdulahi said the President has surrounded himself with incompetent sycophants, adding that the NEF is grossly dissatisfied with the way the country is being handled.

While addressing the issue, he also expressed his concerned as regards the sack of 13 Vice Chancellors by the President adding that the act was against the law.

He said; “Well, frankly speaking, university system has been virtually part of all my life. But what is always critically important for a country, for its institutions is to be guided by the rule of law. And anything that runs outside the rules, regulations and laws, you find out that the outcome is usually chaos. You see conflict of interest, and so on and so forth.

“Yes, historically, all Nigerian universities at the point of their establishment are established by law. The one that I know most is the Ahmadu Bello University, and it has to do with the Office of the Registrar as well as the Office of the Vice Chancellor. And of course, laws, when they are made, at various points in time, there are certain circumstances that need to be reviewed in line with the law to fit such circumstances in the evolution of that institution. And all universities are supposed to have laws and regulations.

“To come to this specific and recent happening about the dissolution of governing councils, the need for the sacking of vice chancellors that are in office, I think the resolution of the contentions must be found somewhere in the laws establishing universities, and for me, until recently, I was the Pro-Chancellor, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. I remember very well the most recent university laws that were amended had conferred specific powers on the governing councils of universities to have sole responsibility for the appointment of their principal officers, including the Vice Chancellors.

“Before then, usually, the councils play a role up to the point when three names are shortlisted among so many that have shown interest in becoming vice chancellors of these universities and eventually these three names are sent to the visitor of the university. And the visitor can use his discretion to take any one of the three names regardless of other recommendations that the council may have made in respect to those three.

“It was his prerogative to pick any of the three and that’s okay. But in the course of the amendment of these laws and particularly with the pressure that was coming from the academic staff over the years, wanting more autonomy, quote and unquote, autonomy for Nigerian universities, and I think associated with the last long ASUU’s strikes, I think the Obasanjo administration acceded to this, if not all, some aspects of university autonomy.

“Buhari should be careful about Nigerian politics especially the politics of the merger of APC, who are in the government to pursue their selfish agenda. Buhari should not be too rigid on permanent friends and enemies. He should be very careful with sycophants both in his cabinet, party and National Assembly.”

According to a close family source who confirmed the kidnapping of Dziggau to The Trent, this disturbing development is believed to be connected with “subterranean moves being made by some forces in the country to influence the election of the next President of CAN”.

Religious tensions in Kaduna have reached an all-time high following moves by the governor of the state, Malam Nasir El Rufai to clampdown on Christian activities in the state. In recent weeks, El Rufai has enacted policies which many in the Christian community view as discriminatory and targeted as “punishing them for not voting for him in 2015”.

El Rufai has deliberately altered the school calendar in Kaduna State to prevent schools closing for the Easter break. In a strongly worded directive to all schools in the state, the state government warned of sanctions to any school which dared to declare a break for the Easter holidays. Easter is the period when Christian remember the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Nigerian governments programme the school calendar for the second term holidays to fall within the Easter period.

A predominantly Christian community housing over 4,000 people, Gbabyi has been earmarked for demolition in a few days by the Kaduna State government. Already, El Rufai is being hotly criticised by Christian clerics around the country for “resurrecting” a 1984 decree that seeks to regulate religious preaching in the state.

Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, two-time president of CAN and incumbent leaves office in July 2016 and there have been reports of attempts by the Buhari-led government and the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to influence the outcome of the upcoming elections of the umbrella Christian body in Nigeria by ensuring that a Northern cleric is elected into the influential position.

According to sources within the CAN bloc, Rev. Dziggau, a one-time national president of the Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Nigeria (FCCN), has consistently resisted pressure to allow outside political interference in the election process to produce the next President of CAN.

Dziggau has openly hinted to the fact that the government was interested in installing a “friendly” CAN president “from the North” and expressed his neutrality on the upcoming elections. His principled stance has “drawn anger from some influential Christians in President Muhammadu Buhari’s government”.

“Please pray for the safety and release of Rev. Dr. Dzzigau,” a family member said in an email to The Trent. “The Church in Nigeria is facing perilous times.”

Buhari should dialogue with Biafra agitators to suspend unrest

– President Muhammadu Buhari should dialogue with those agitating for independent Biafran Republic

– “A peaceful demonstration or agitation is allowed in the confines of rule of law,” Rep Emeka Anohu said.

Rep Emeka Anohu, the member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency of Anambra state, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to speak to those calling for the independence of the Biafran territories in order to suspend any political unrest from the agitators.

Rep Anohu who described the Biafra agitation as a “topic that is totally fragile in Nigeria” said: “I am of the opinion that a situation like this, there should be dialogue. A peaceful demonstration or agitation is allowed in the confines of rule of law.''

A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stressed that Nigeria subscribed to the Charter of the United Nations recognizing the peoples inalienable right to complete freedom, self-determination, the exercise of their sovereignty and the integrity of their national territory and peaceful protests.

Commenting on the ongoing war against corruption by the President Buhari’s government, he said: “The best way to fight corruption is for government to block all leakages. Since independence, some names have been mentioned for corruption, have they been tried?

All the money repatriated, where are the monies, how much so far repatriated and recovered? Nigerians need to know, we don’t know where they are keeping the money.”

The president of charity organization The Emeka Anohu Foundation also touched on the Nigeria and the South African telecommunication giant, the MTN, issue.

He said: “We should not settle for less, we will resist any ploy by the MTN not to pay complete the fines imposed on it by the National Communications Commission, NCC.”

He called the current negotiations with MTN criminal, as during the time of arms deal scandal in the past administration, the South African government refused to discuss the problem with Nigeria.

It would be recalled that back in October 2015, MTN Nigeria was fined with N1.04 trillion (it was later reduced rate of N780bn) for failing to disconnect 5.2 million unregistered subscribers on its network.

Biafra: Amnesty International slams FG for killing Biafra protesters

Amnesty International has slammed the Nigerian security forces for killing pro-Biafra protesters.

– The NGO has called on the government to avoid using violence against activists and to respect the rule of law.

– The federal government responded that it does not consider pro-Biafrans to be a serious threat.

Nigerian security forces have used excessive force against pro-Biafran protesters in south-eastern Nigeria, Amnesty International has claimed.

Lucy Freeman, senior research adviser at Amnesty, told IBTimes UK the NGO has documented instances of excessive force used against protesters connected to the pro-Biafran movement.

Pro-Biafrans hold regular marches across south-eastern Nigeria calling for independence and the the release of her Nnamdi Kanu.

It is believed that during one of the latest demonstrations held in Aba state on 9 February, at least ten people were killed by the army and police, with footage purportedly showing security forces attacking pro-Biafrans being widely circulated on social media.

“What is happening in south-eastern Nigeria is not a conflict situation and the law enforcement model that has been used is not appropriate,” Freeman said.

“It is not appropriate to use lethal force on protesters, even in case of a violent protest.

“There are consistent reports of excessive use of force, deaths and injuries of people connected to the Biafran movement.” “The Nigerian government is obligated to carry out investigations that have to be independent, impartial and effective,” she said. “It is not enough to deny allegations and people need to be prosecuted and brought to justice.”

Freeman confirmed that an Amnesty team is on the ground to investigate the allegations of violence during recent pro-Biafran protests. “It is a difficult context because you have so much cover-up by the military. In an ideal situation if someone dies by the use of force, there should be an autopsy, some records of the death, of arrests.

What we have seen across the country is that these kind of basic documentation and investigations are not done.”

Speaking about recent court cases involving Nnamdi Kanu, the leading pro-Biafra activist who is currently on trial, Freeman condemned the Nigerian government for deliberately prolonging cases by using legal tricks.

“We have seen in several cases the practice of the DSS of arresting someone, holding them unlawfully, and when that person challenges their detention with bail, they are immediately charged with something else to prolong their detention. That’s unlawful detention,” Freeman said.

“There are a number of people who have been detained in connection to Boko Haram who had a similar thing happened. The question is: To what extent is the rule of law respected?

However, spokesperson for the Nigerian security forces, Rabe Abubakar, told IBTimes UK that the Nigerian police and army do not kill demonstrators.

He added the security forces had to intervene as some pro-Biafrans were allegedly carrying weapons.

The Nigerian government has always maintained that Nigeria’s unity is a priority for the country, and although peaceful pro-Biafran protests are welcome, demanding the breakaway of the Biafran territories is against the constitution. The government also told IBTimes UK that it does not consider the separatist movement a threat to the current leadership, and described pro-Biafrans as an insignificant threat.

A new report shows that British authorities, including Prime Minister David Cameron, knew that they were taking in tens of thousands of Syrians from refugee camps controlled by the Islamic State group, according to the U.K. Express.

According to the report from the Barnabas Fund, a group that aids persecuted Christians around the world, Prime Minister Cameron knew as early as September, when he visited the camps for displaced Syrians in Lebanon, that the Islamic State group was in control of them.

Cameron’s visit occurred before the British began taking in 20,000 refugees from the camp, leading to questions about whether the U.K. knowingly took in terrorists or radicalized “refugees.” Terrorists posing as “refugees” were linked to the Paris terror attacks in November, as well as other plots.

“In September 2015 Lebanon’s Education minister Elias Bou Saab told British Prime Minister David Cameron during a tour of refugee camps that some Syrian refugees traveling to Europe were Islamists, adding that this was also the case among those living in refugee camps,” the Barnabas Fund’s report read, according to the Express.

The report also said that “recent analysis” of the Free Syrian Army showed extremists were recruiting inside the Lebanese camps.

“While FSA does not seem to actively recruit among the refugees in Lebanon, radical Islamist groups appear to be active,” it read, according to the Express.

An investigation by the British Parliament’s International Development Committee also revealed that Cameron and the British government had received information that the Islamic State group controlled camps in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan from which the U.K. intended to take refugees.

In spite of this information, the government decided to take in 20,000 refugees from those camps over a period of about five years.

Mike Hookem, a spokesman for the anti-immigration U.K. Independence Party, said that he believed the camps had been taken over by the Islamic State group and that Cameron should be held to account.

“My sources in Lebanon have said for a long time that the refugee camps where Britain is sourcing the 20,000 refugees from are run by terrorists and are absolutely unsafe,” Hookem said. “If David Cameron did know about this and did not pay attention, at the very least, he needs to be hauled up in front of the Home Affairs Select Committee and answer these questions.

“We need make to make sure we have a prime minister who puts the welfare of the British people above the appearance of ‘doing the right thing’ in front of the international community.”

In the wake of threats by former military Head of State and All Profgressives Congress (APC ) Presidential Candidate, general Muhammadu Buhari to jail all corrupt government officials if elected into office, a statement made by former military President, Ibrahim Babangida in 2013 to the effect that he will expose the corrupt practices of General Buhari has resurfaced.

Babangida, who at the time spoke via a statement signed by him and issued by his media aide Kashim Afeogbua was reaching to claims by General Buhari that President GoodLuck Jonathan had killed the petroleum sector of the economy, threatening to expose information of General Buhari’s misconducts during his time as both Petroleum Minister and Chairman of the Petroleum Trust Funds (PTF), offices the APC Presidential candidate held before he usurped power from then President Shehu Shagari via a bloodies coup in 1983.

Using the popular adage that “those who live in glass houses do not throw stones.’’ Babangida said General Buhari should mind his utterances or else he will expose information of his (Buhari’s) financial misappropriation which he is / was privy to, advising General Buhari to quit his sanctimonious demeanor. Parts of the statement read: “He is a one-time Minister of Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) which records we tenure as minister. “Secondly, he also presided over the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) which records we also have. “We challenge him to come out with clean hands in those two portfolios he headed. Or, we will help him to expose his records of performance during those periods.’’

While stating that it was not in his character to exchange words with a former colleague, but for record purposes: “We are conversant with Gen. Buhai’s so called holier-than-thou attitude.’’ He also advised President Jonathan to graciously receive criticisms and if he was blackmailing past leaders for Nigeria’s woe, he (Babangida) should not be fingered. The statement continued: “On President Jonathan, there is nothing wrong in criticism if it is constructive and in the interest of the country. Gen. Babangida is one unique former president who does not criticize a sitting President as a matter of courtesy. :If President Jonathan is blaming past leaders, he should look elsewhere certainly not IBB.

Nigeria, Igbo must not go for second civil war Asked his take on the raging agitation for the Republic of Biafra, Ikokwu, who fought the civil war on the side of Biafra, said: ‘’Generally speaking and in line with what Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, who was the first leader of Biafra said, our people should not go for a second civil war. In saying that, he said history should be a lesson not only for Nigeria but also for Igbo people and that the grave implications of a civil war are such that the initiators do not normally know where it would end and who and who would suffer. In the first civil war, the majority of those who suffered were the innocent people. More than a million people died and they were not the ones who started the war or were fighting the war. He said a second civil is not in the best interest of Nigeria, that Nigeria should learn its own lesson and understand that the Igbo always add value to anywhere they go. To any situation they are called upon, they add value. They never go anywhere to deteriorate the existing situation. Not only that they are so flexible that they can change their culture – language and dressing that they and the natives will almost look alike; that the main thing Nigeria should do is to restructure the country into fiscal federalism as our founding fathers – Herbert Macauley, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, Ahmadu Bello, Dennis Osadebey, MI Okpara , etc, who agitated and got.

They fought for a federal structure and this is embedded in our national anthem – in diversity we stand, there is unity in diversity. Need for justice equity, fairplay ‘’That is where the Igbo stand. There should be unity in diversity. We should use the diverse abilities of each group. The Yoruba have where they excel. Six zonal structure The Urhobo, Hausa, Fulani, Tiv, Nupe, Kanuri, etc, each have where they excel. Use all these diversifications to promote a united front so that on the whole, the whole nation will rise up and be better for it. That is where we stand.

There should be justice, equity and fair-play. Once these three things are given, you will not find any more resentment or demonstration by youths. At the moment, majority of Nigerians believe in the six zonal structure. Leading Nigerians from all parts of the country like Emeka Anyaoku, Wole Soyinka, Kayode Fayemi, Bolaji Akinyemi, etc have said a thousand times: Give these geo-political zones federating powers so that they can become the federating units. Each federating unit can take care of certain things in its area. It can take care of its youths, hospitals, infrastructure and even local councils. If a federating unit wants one million local governments, let it create them and pay them from its own resources.

It is these federating units that will now engender the issue of diversification, which economic wise, the present Federal Government has been told: with falling oil prices, you don’t have enough federal revenues again, the economy should be diversified so that each unit will contribute what it has in its area. For instance, the South-East has oil palm, the North can produce groundnut, cotton. The South-South has rubber, oil palm. The South-West has cocoa. If we diversify the economy, Nigeria will be stronger and richer. You don’t have solid minerals in the East but you have it in the North-East and North-Central. It is only now that the Federal Government is asking the Solid Minerals Minister, Kayode Fayemi, to ensure that the Federal Government regulates the mineral deposits and how they are exploited.

Exploiting of solid minerals In the North, it is individuals that are exploiting the solid minerals but in the South, individuals are not allowed to pump oils. All these are not only to the detriment of the zone but also the whole the country. Looting our national treasury more treasonable than operating Radio Biafra On the way IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu is going about the Biafran agitation and the Federal Government slamming of treasonable charges against Kanu, he said: ‘’The issue of Radio Biafra is not treasonable. Radio Biafra is digital instrument registered in United Kingdom or America.

It is not the first time. Professor Wole Soyinka had Radio Kudirat, done abroad and broadcasting to Nigeria. NADECO endorsed such foreign radios by Nigerians. It is a matter of freedom of information. If Kanu is guilty of treason on account of Radio Biafra then millions of Nigerians are guilty of treason in the social media because it is a digital matter now. You take your smart phone and say whatever you like – good, bad, rubbish, exemplary, etc.

WHY NNAMDI KANU MUST NOT BE MURDERED

It beats my imagination why a man that commands over 70million people cannot be feared. If I can be willing to lay down my life for Nnamdikanu; then there is need to never think of murdering Nnamdi Kanu. I illustratively used myself because I know how precious I see my life, I fear death and avoid any slightest risk. But since I heard the voice of Nnamdi Kanu, I found out that the life I live is not as important as the reason I embraced death. Biafra became a religion and I found death as a blessing only when I die for Biafra, Biafra is the kingdom of God on earth and I have no regret dying for God.

Over 70MILLION people feel this way I feel and I wonder what will befall this contraption called Nigeria if Nnamdi Kanu is murdered by them. We are dying in the course of this peaceful protest and we are ready to die again as far as Nnamdi Kanu will be given to us. Imagine what it would look like if we look for this man we die for and could not find him. We then feel we have no reason to die sacrificially but die in action, how many Nigerians will love to die with us? The reality remains that Biafra has been made an ideology- a religion that cannot be taken away or killed. Any effort to kill Biafra will see unimaginable atomic reaction. Nobody wants to die and so I warn that Nnamdi Kanu must not be murdered.

Buhari through DSS have shown willingness to murder Nnamdi Kanu as he is adamant he won’t compromise on Biafra. All the efforts to lobby Nnamdi Kanu have proved futile and hence; he has maintained is BIAFRA OR DEATH and curse be upon he and people that would dare murder him. God won’t fight but men will fight as gods and die gloriously for God. Let woe betide the Indigenous People of Biafra if the murderers of our leader and their families see the light of their days. DSS had staged his murder when they accused family members of plans to forcefully kidnap Nnamdi Kanu from the court; after contemplation; they declined.

There is reliable information that Nnamdi Kanu is being targeted to be poisoned in the prison; as disclosed by an officer sympathetic to IPOB. Nnamdi Kanu must not be murdered because no one can stand this aggression that will beat imaginations. We the people of Biafra are human beings and deserve equal support like our terrorist supported Western Sahara and Palestine. There is now an established fact that Nnamdi Kanu is being persecuted; if Buhari can be killing and imprisoned our leader while he supported and funded the leader and people of Western Sahara and Palestine that are on self-determination quest as us; then this is a religious war or ethnic war against Kanu and Biafrans- our cleansing.

The member representing Nkwerre Constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Engr. Chika Madumere has taken a swipe on members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for the attempt to disrupt the speech of Governor Rochas Okorocha at Chatham House London recently.
The soft spoken Nkwerre born politician condemned the act in its entirety wondering why IPOB members should invade the venue of the presentation to embarrass the governor instead of showing solidarity .
He stated that during the IPOB demonstration in South East, Imo State is the only State where IPOB members was given security coverage to ensure that there was no violence eruption .
According to him, Governor Okorocha as the Chief Security Officer of the State has the constitutional right to ban IPOB demonstration in Owerri and its environs during the protest for the release of their detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu, he said, throughout the protest, there was no case of brutality of Biafran agitators by the security operatives like in other States in South East and South South, nobody was killed nor arrested, and for IPOB member to call Governor Okorocha a murderer in London is an unguarded statement, sabotage, malicious propaganda to damage the reputation of the Governor stressing that such unfounded allegation has exposed the height of irresponsibility, and ignorance of members of IPOB, he called on all and sundry to condemn the action of IPOB.
Madumere said, young people are being brainwashed in the name of Biafra actualization and the agitation seems to be the newest method through which people are extorted by some disgruntled fellows. He said, one of their leader started the Biafran agitation and after enriching himself and acquiring expensive properties, he abandoned the agitation, stressing that those agitating now may end up like their leader.
The Legislator opined that, it is unconstitutional for a seating governor to support a group branded by the federal government as a secessionist group. He wondered why people should still be talking about Biafra when its founding fathers had surrendered to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Madumere informed that Biafra died perpetually after losing the war in 1970 and when its founding father Dim Chukwu Odumegwu Ojokwu returned from exile and joined National Party of Nigeria (NPN) to work for the peace and progress of one Nigeria.
Madumere reiterated that most members of IPOB were probably not born or too young at the time the civil war was fought between 1967-70, stressing that about 2 million Igbo’s lost their lives and uptil today, the people are still suffering from the effects of the war. He site Syria as a test case of war devastation. He said agitation like this can lead to massacre and destruction of properties.
He also urged IPOB members to stop infringing on the rights of others who may not favor their approach, noting that in a democratic setting, you don’t expect everybody to favor your agitation.
In a nutshell, he urged Igbos to work towards national unity, especially now many Igbo’s occupy sensitive positions in President Buhari’s administration. He also called on Igbo’s to stop sabotaging the APC led government and he urged Imolites to continue to support Governor Okorocha and work towards peace and development of Nigeria.

Olusegun Obasanjo should reserve his sympathy for his dying one Nigeria. According to tradingeconomics.com, as at January 2016 the GDP of Nigeria is as low as 2.11 and it continues to go down by the day because investors are running away from the decaying economy. The Central Bank of Nigeria has reported that revenue from non-oil sector has gone down by 60 percent and forecasted to go down by 100 percent. By every indication Nigeria will grind to record zero revenue in 2017. Under Muhammadu Buhari, over two million people have lost their job and it continues.
