Amnesty report on Biafra killings frightens Nigeria
Amnesty International an NGO concerned with human rights violations today released a damning report about the violations carried out against pro-Biafrans.
It would be recalled that yesterday, TMnews published that the NGO’s report would be published today.
According to information gathered from International Business Times (IBT) UK, it accuses the military of rough handling and killing protesters as the marched in support of the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

A team of officials from the NGO are currently on the ground to gather more information and has accused the military of heavy cover-ups.

The military currently denies the killings that occurred in the south eastern Nigeria and explained that they were intervening in what would have become a deadly event as some protesters were seen with arms.

Amnesty International also went on to condemn the jailing of the Biafra leader without bail and for such a long time. Emphasis was made to the series of unlawful detentions or prolonged detentions made by the DSS.

A dying nation, its travelling President and the lying party
General Muhamadu Buhari is leading a country that is apparently dying
In the run up to the 2015 presidential election, leaders and members of APC were very vocal in condemning the then president of the country, President Goodluck Jonathan, for every step he took. This even included attending churches on Sunday, Jonathan’s religion’s holy day of obligation. It was Babatunde Raji Fashola, the then governor of Lagos State and now Honourable Minister of Power, Works and Housing, that succinctly captured the mind of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and supporters then when at the sixth Bola Tinubu Colloquium in Lagos some time in March 2014, he charged at his listeners by asking them if they wanted “someone who spends most of his time in church or mosque, or the man who is ready to spend his time on the job.”
That was when life was very sweet as an opposition party especially with the tolerance level of Goodluck Jonathan. At least, Goodluck was spending his time in the country even if, in the hyperbolic words of Fashola, he was spending “most” of it in church.
However, fast forward to today, we have the same Fashola who is currently serving as a minister under president Muhammadu Buhari who would remain Nigeria’s most travelled president for a long time in our history. So far, since his inauguration into office on May 29, 2015, President Buhari has traversed 24 countries of the world within a short period of 9 months.
Considering our scarce resources, this is too frequent, too costly and is a disturbing development as the nation is in its worst economic quagmire since independence. Never in the history of our nation even when we thought we faced economic recession and hyper-inflation has our exchange rate run on auto-devaluation as it is now. The prices of food stuff and basic items are climbing higher and out of the reach of the common man. The purchasing power of the citizens has been badly eroded while people are not only not getting employed, those who are employed are losing their jobs in droves.

The economy is at a standstill! No gainful economic activity going on anywhere. Infrastructural development that characterised Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has since been brought to a halt; our revived agricultural sector is now in a speedy reverse course. While harmless and armless youths protesting peacefully within their constitutional rights are regularly mowed down by mindless security agencies in Zaria, Aba, Onitsha etc, the supreme court has come under several severe attacks from the ruling party as the Honourable Justices of the apex court have resisted the “body language” charm and refused to do the bidding of the party in some of the judgements given by the court recently.

Kidnapping has not only returned but assumed a more dangerous and fearful dimension, and the security agents seem overwhelmed. Power supply has become more epileptic than ever even as the DISCO’s have hiked their tariff by about 40% and they still expect Nigerians to pay for darkness supplied in the midst of gross financial powerlessness. There is general disenchantment in the land as the Buhari administration has sufficiently demonstrated a total lack of idea on how to run our economy to attain its full potentials at this time. This fact is further strengthened by the shambolic and embarrassing preparation of a simple budget that is a normal ritual of governments all over the world.

Nigerians believe that the budget was fraught with fraud and an indication of the hypocrisy of the current government’s anti-corruption stance. Having suffered so much, the Buhari budget is widely believed to be the “most stolen”, “most missing”, “most padded”, “most denied”, “most investigated”, “most withdrawn” and “most re-presented” budget, yet, there is no outrage in the land over that garbage. If PDP had made that “mistake” during its time, of course, the country would have been on an uncontrollable conflagration, set on by APC.
Despite the rapid descent of the country into catastrophic and unbelievable state of socio-political and economic anomie within a very short period, President Buhari carries on as if nothing is wrong. There is no sense of urgency or even needed level of concern for the state of the nation. Buhari keeps globe-trotting as if the solutions to the nation’s woes lie abroad.

The sophistry peddled by the administration’s spin doctors, as it was during the presidential campaigns, that the president’s frequent travels has already yielded much fruits for the country is only a lullaby-like tale told to children in order to put them to sleep and prevent their usual late night tantrums. Obviously, the complaints of Nigerians about the worrying situation of things in the country would no doubt have been sounding like tantrums to the ears of government.

Given Fashola’s lamentations about former president Jonathan’s frequent presence in church, one would have expected this same man and his likes to caution the president about his needless travels, sit back at home, consult with his cabinet and concerned Nigerians on how we can all move this country forward rather than junketing all over the world in search of foreign solutions to local problems.

The argument that he is in talks with some oil producing countries to see how they could help increase the value of oil in the international market by scaling down on output is akin to pouring water in a basket for the purpose of storage. If we are able to get Saudi Arabia to reduce output will a country like Iran not take advantage of that and flood the market with their own oil especially as they have a lot to unleash on the market having been shut out from the international market for a long time as a result of US sanctions until recently.

This is more so especially when one considers that Iran would be very happy to do the exact opposite of what Saudi Arabia does even if it is just to spite the Saudis owing to the frosty relations between the two countries. In addition, the pro-Shiite Iranians expressed very strong diplomatic reservations over the recent killings of Shiite Muslims in Zaria by a band of military men led by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai. This might just be an opportunity for a pay back by them.

It is also instructive to note that a majority of our oil patrons have either found new buyers or have embraced alternative sources of energy. So, whichever way one looks at it, embarking on extensive and expensive diplomatic shuttles majorly for this purpose is not only illogical, it is also antithetic to common sense and beats the imagination of even elementary economists. Little wonder then our president seems to be the only president among the oil producing countries who think the best way to shore up the price of oil worldwide is by diplomatic shuttles. No other president worldwide is travelling for this purpose.

Our nation is dying, the president is travelling and his party is parrying the truth about the situation of things and the true outcome of the president’s frequent travels. Let the president return, sit back and spend quality time at home and stop working like a distant learning student!

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has accused some Igbo politicians of using the Ohaneze Ndigbo group and the situation surrounding its embattled leader, Nnamdi Kanu to get cheap popularity.
IPOB made the accusation in the wake of a resolution by the Ohanaeze Ndigbo group on Thursday to visit President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja with a charter of demands.
The resolution the Ohaneze group is expected to present before President Muhammadu Buhari include, the reconstruction of the Enugu- Umuahia- Port Harcourt Road, the Enugu- Onitsha express road, appointment of more Special and Senior Special Assistants, as well as the completion of the Second Niger Bridge to end the ongoing agitation for Biafra Republic.
Reacting to the meeting, the group in separate statements signed by Emma Mmezu and Clifford Iroanya said, “Some Igbo politicians who are using IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu, its detained leader, or Biafra to get cheap popularity will fail, we advise them to stop doing so with immediate effect.”
IPOB listed Igbo leaders working against its interest to include, “Chief T. A Orji, Rochas Okorocha, Emeka Offor, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, Ike Ekweremadu, Chukwuma Soludo, Ralph Uwazuruike, Okezie Ikpazu, Onwuka Ukwa as well as Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
“The Ohanaeze Ndigbo was looking for access to Buhari for the selfish interest of its members; they are using the blood of dead Biafrans to enrich its members.”

Rose Oruru, the mother of 14-year-old Ese Oruru, has narrated her ordeal during her trip to the Emir’s palace in search of her daughter who was abducted from Bayelsa State, in August 2015 and taken to Kano State where she was converted to Islam and forcefully married off to one Yinusa Yellow, who prior to the incident was her customer.

In an interview with The Sun, the woman gave a detailed account of what transpired between her and some rate youths at the Emir’s palace who nearly lynched her.
Excerpts from the interview below:
Could you tell us how your daughter disappeared from Bayelsa?
On August 12, being a Tuesday, after we took our breakfast, I went to the market, from where I went to visit one of my relations. By the time I returned home, one of my children was angry and complained that Ese, who went out in the morning had not returned and that she left the house at about 11 o’clock that fateful day. I asked him whether he beat her and he said no. I asked if they had a programme in church and he said no. At that point, I began to get worried and wondered where Ese must have gone.
Initially, I thought she had gone to church because they usually go to our neighbour’s church even though we are Anglicans, and I don’t stop them. I then asked him to go and check inside the house if she was sleeping and he did but came to say she was not there. From that point I decided to go and look for her myself.

As I was going, one of my daughters told me that they saw the carpenter lying in front of his shop since morning and that Yinusa, who usually came between 12 and 1pm to buy Banga soup from their buka had not shown up that day. At that point, I decided to go and ask the carpenter, for the telephone number of Yinusa and he told me Yinusa does not have a phone and that he usually come to beg him to use his phone to make calls. The carpenter asked me why I was looking for him and I told him that I wanted to charter his Keke, and with that I left his place and went to another shop that he usually patronise to ask for him.
When I got there, I asked the owner of the shop, who happens to be a Yoruba woman about Yinusa, and she told me he was not there but that his Keke, had been parked all day. She asked why I was looking for him and I told her I wanted to charter his Keke. After a second thought I decided to open up to her that I was looking for my daughter, Ese. She asked what Ese had to do with Yinusa, and I told her Yinusa had disappeared since morning and my daughter was nowhere to be found.
When I left her shop, I went to the mosque where the Hausa boys usually gather to look for Yinusa. They were praying. I decided to wait; I waited for about two hours and got tired and left. I later sent one of my children to go and call one of them. He saw one Mohammed and invited him to my place. I asked him about Yellow and he revealed that he had sold his Keke and travelled to Kano. He was the one who told me that Yinusa, took my daughter along with him and told him he was going to convert her to Islam and marry her.
My husband wanted to go and report the matter the police that day, but they begged him not to. I later took her picture to all the police checkpoints in Bayelsa, pleading with them to arrest her if they set their eyes on her. I also went to all the motor parks to distribute the photograph.

How did you travel to Kano?
I made arrangement for them to take me to Kano, but they said it would not be possible until they heard from Yinusa. Two days later, they called to confirm that he has arrived Kano and that we could travel the next day. The person who saw him and my daughter said he asked my daughter what she was doing in Kano, and he said she didn’t know that it was Yellow that brought her there. I then reported the matter to my husband and he got so angry and blamed the incident on my food business, which has caused and Hausa boy kidnapping his daughter. He said if not that I was selling food, the boy would not have had any access to the girl. My husband wanted to go and report the matter to the police that day but they begged him not to.
Before we embarked on the journey to Kano, we were told that the matter has been reported to the chief of the town and they asked me to look for N20, 000 for the trip. They said that N6,000 will take me to Kano, another N12, 000 will take me and my daughter back to Yenagoa, while we keep the remaining N2 ,000, for feeding and local runs. I got the money and embarked on the trip.
What happened in Kano?
When we arrived Kano, I had to spend the night in the house of the boy that took me there, because we arrived very late in the night at past 12 midnight. The next day, we proceeded on the search for Ese. Before we arrived Kano, I had received a call from my daughter, asking me where we were and I told her we were close to Abuja.
She advised me to stop at Abuja and spend the night with my sister, as according to her, they would kill me if I came to Kano that night. She said they had taken her photograph and converted her to Islam and wore her the hijab because the emir, Sanusi, promised them that anybody that brought a Christian girl from another state and converted her to Islam would be rewarded with money, given a house, jeep and earn a salary, among other goodies. She said all the people were celebrating with Yinusa. Still on our way, the man who was taking me to Kano got a call and told me it was Yinusa, but that I should not mind him.
In Kano, in the morning, I asked him to take me to the parent of Yellow, but he said we would first go to the house of the chief and that when we get there the chief would hand over my daughter and we would leave Kano the next day. When we got to the chief’s house, the boy narrated why he came with me and the chief was so angry and started abusing him. I knew he was abusing him because he spoke little English and Hausa. At that point, I got on my knees and pleaded with him to help me because my husband had driven me out of the house, asking me never to come back until I produced his daughter. He called me useless woman and asked which child did I keep here, that my child has been converted to Islam and I will never see her again.
While we were there, the other Hausa boys, who had stayed in Bayelsa, on hearing the matter, came there to meet me because I was good to them. They made inquiry on how we could get to the emir’s palace and the chief gave us two telephone numbers. When we got there, one of the soldiers on duty, in front of the palace, saw my desperation, as I was trying to call the telephone number given to us. He approached me and asked what I was doing there and after explaining to him, he took pity on me and said I cannot access the palace from the front gate, that I should go through the back, which I did. When I got inside, an elderly man walked to us and asked the boy that came with me if he was the one from Bayelsa, and he answered yes. He then asked why he brought me to Kano.
I knelt down to beg him to help me recover my child, that she was only 13. He said it was not possible and that even if I must see her, it had to be on Monday. Before I knew what was happening, young men started to gather in their large number. I started running. They came after me, hitting me and abusing me. They could have killed me. While all these was going on, one God-sent man drove into the palace and rescues me. He called the police and they sent one of their patrol vans to the scene immediately.
After rescuing me, they took me to the Kwani police station, close to the palace. I told them my story; they handed me over to the DCO of the station. At the office of the DCO, they took my statement and took it to the DPO. The DPO, on getting the report, then drafted some policemen to the palace. They did not allow us to enter and before we knew it, people started trooping in; so the policemen sensing danger put me back into the vehicle and drove off back to the police station.
At the police station, the DPO, them decided that since the matter seemed to be getting out of hand, we should go to the palace of the Galadima. On getting there, they told us he was sleeping and that we cannot see him.
From the Galadima, we went to the adviser to the emir’s place and we were again told that he was sleeping; so we decided to go back to the station. On our way, they called to say the Galadima had woken up and that we should come back. When we returned, the policemen told him why they were there, but he drove us away, saying he was not aware of any case of a girl in the palace.
On leaving the Galadima, we went to the secretary’s place; that was about seven o’clock in the evening. When we got there, they were praying; so we had to wait and after the prayers, he asked why we were there. The policemen told him and he said he was aware of the matter but that there was nothing he could do because he was traveling and promised to act on it when he returned. It was him that now promised that we should go and come back on Monday and that they would bring the girl on that day.
From there we went back to the police station and I was advised not to go back to the village, where I slept because I would be killed. I then pleaded with them to allow me sleep at the station until Monday since I didn’t have any relation in Kano. They said I cannot stay there because the irate youths may come and burn down the station that I should look for a hotel to spend the weekend. However, one of the policewomen offered to accommodate me, so I went with her and stayed with her till Monday when we agreed to meet at 10 in the morning.
On Monday, I went back to the station from where some policemen took me to the palace. On getting there, we saw that the whole place was filled with youths, who abused us openly and threatening to attack us. When the police could no longer tolerate the situation, they took me back to the police station and promised to go back when the emir got to the palace. We returned to the police station. They later called to say the emir had arrived the palace and that we should come back. This was at about one o’clock in the afternoon. At the palace, one jeep came with my daughter. There were also two policemen in the vehicle and the chief of Tufa, with another man. The two policemen took my daughter inside.
Inside was Yinusa, and my daughter, who they Aisha. They did not allow me inside. The DCO went in and later stormed out in anger, saying he cannot tolerate a situation where the mother of a child would not be allowed to interfere in a matter that concerns her and where she cannot be allowed to go with her daughter. At this point, tension in the palace got very high; so they quickly pushed me into the car and drove off back to the police station.
At the police station, the DCO reported back to the DPO and then said with the way the matter was going, he would have to refer me to the state CID. We then proceeded to the state CID, and they took the letter and the statement and said since the case happened in Bayelsa, I would have to come with police personnel from the Bayelsa state command before they could commence investigation. So they advised me to go back to Bayelsa.
What was you daughter’s reaction when you finally met this week?
She was happy to see me. She recognised me and stood up to greet me when I entered the room where she was kept.
Did you notice changes in her behaviour?
I have not noticed anything like that yet because we have not really interacted. The only thing is that she asked me about her brothers and sisters back home. She is really looking forward to going home.

The person who saw him and my daughter said he asked my daughter what she was doing in Kano, and he said she didn’t know that it was Yellow that brought her there. I then reported the matter to my husband and he got so angry and blamed the incident on my food business, which has caused and Hausa boy kidnapping his daughter. He said if not that I was selling food, the boy would not have had any access to the girl. My husband wanted to go and report the matter to the police that day but they begged him not to.
Before we embarked on the journey to Kano, we were told that the matter has been reported to the chief of the town and they asked me to look for N20, 000 for the trip. They said that N6,000 will take me to Kano, another N12, 000 will take me and my daughter back to Yenagoa, while we keep the remaining N2 ,000, for feeding and local runs. I got the money and embarked on the trip.
What happened in Kano?
When we arrived Kano, I had to spend the night in the house of the boy that took me there, because we arrived very late in the night at past 12 midnight. The next day, we proceeded on the search for Ese. Before we arrived Kano, I had received a call from my daughter, asking me where we were and I told her we were close to Abuja. She advised me to stop at Abuja and spend the night with my sister, as according to her, they would kill me if I came to Kano that night. She said they had taken her photograph and converted her to Islam and wore her the hijab because the emir, Sanusi, promised them that anybody that brought a Christian girl from another state and converted her to Islam would be rewarded with money, given a house, jeep and earn a salary, among other goodies. She said all the people were celebrating with Yinusa. Still on our way, the man who was taking me to Kano got a call and told me it was Yinusa, but that I should not mind him.
In Kano, in the morning, I asked him to take me to the parent of Yellow, but he said we would first go to the house of the chief and that when we get there the chief would hand over my daughter and we would leave Kano the next day. When we got to the chief’s house, the boy narrated why he came with me and the chief was so angry and started abusing him. I knew he was abusing him because he spoke little English and Hausa. At that point, I got on my knees and pleaded with him to help me because my husband had driven me out of the house, asking me never to come back until I produced his daughter. He called me useless woman and asked which child did I keep here, that my child has been converted to Islam and I will never see her again.
While we were there, the other Hausa boys, who had stayed in Bayelsa, on hearing the matter, came there to meet me because I was good to them. They made inquiry on how we could get to the emir’s palace and the chief gave us two telephone numbers. When we got there, one of the soldiers on duty, in front of the palace, saw my desperation, as I was trying to call the telephone number given to us. He approached me and asked what I was doing there and after explaining to him, he took pity on me and said I cannot access the palace from the front gate, that I should go through the back, which I did. When I got inside, an elderly man walked to us and asked the boy that came with me if he was the one from Bayelsa, and he answered yes. He then asked why he brought me to Kano.
I knelt down to beg him to help me recover my child, that she was only 13. He said it was not possible and that even if I must see her, it had to be on Monday. Before I knew what was happening, young men started to gather in their large number. I started running. They came after me, hitting me and abusing me. They could have killed me. While all these was going on, one God-sent man drove into the palace and rescues me. He called the police and they sent one of their patrol vans to the scene immediately.
After rescuing me, they took me to the Kwani police station, close to the palace. I told them my story; they handed me over to the DCO of the station. At the office of the DCO, they took my statement and took it to the DPO. The DPO, on getting the report, then drafted some policemen to the palace. They did not allow us to enter and before we knew it, people started trooping in; so the policemen sensing danger put me back into the vehicle and drove off back to the police station.
At the police station, the DPO, them decided that since the matter seemed to be getting out of hand, we should go to the palace of the Galadima. On getting there, they told us he was sleeping and that we cannot see him.
From the Galadima, we went to the adviser to the emir’s place and we were again told that he was sleeping; so we decided to go back to the station. On our way, they called to say the Galadima had woken up and that we should come back. When we returned, the policemen told him why they were there, but he drove us away, saying he was not aware of any case of a girl in the palace.
On leaving the Galadima, we went to the secretary’s place; that was about seven o’clock in the evening. When we got there, they were praying; so we had to wait and after the prayers, he asked why we were there. The policemen told him and he said he was aware of the matter but that there was nothing he could do because he was traveling and promised to act on it when he returned. It was him that now promised that we should go and come back on Monday and that they would bring the girl on that day.
From there we went back to the police station and I was advised not to go back to the village, where I slept because I would be killed. I then pleaded with them to allow me sleep at the station until Monday since I didn’t have any relation in Kano. They said I cannot stay there because the irate youths may come and burn down the station that I should look for a hotel to spend the weekend. However, one of the policewomen offered to accommodate me, so I went with her and stayed with her till Monday when we agreed to meet at 10 in the morning.
On Monday, I went back to the station from where some policemen took me to the palace. On getting there, we saw that the whole place was filled with youths, who abused us openly and threatening to attack us. When the police could no longer tolerate the situation, they took me back to the police station and promised to go back when the emir got to the palace. We returned to the police station. They later called to say the emir had arrived the palace and that we should come back. This was at about one o’clock in the afternoon. At the palace, one jeep came with my daughter. There were also two policemen in the vehicle and the chief of Tufa, with another man. The two policemen took my daughter inside.
Inside was Yinusa, and my daughter, who they Aisha. They did not allow me inside. The DCO went in and later stormed out in anger, saying he cannot tolerate a situation where the mother of a child would not be allowed to interfere in a matter that concerns her and where she cannot be allowed to go with her daughter. At this point, tension in the palace got very high; so they quickly pushed me into the car and drove off back to the police station. At the police station, the DCO reported back to the DPO and then said with the way the matter was going, he would have to refer me to the state CID. We then proceeded to the state CID, and they took the letter and the statement and said since the case happened in Bayelsa, I would have to come with police personnel from the Bayelsa state command before they could commence investigation. So they advised me to go back to Bayelsa.
What was you daughter’s reaction when you finally met this week?
She was happy to see me. She recognised me and stood up to greet me when I entered the room where she was kept.
Did you notice changes in her behaviour?
I have not noticed anything like that yet because we have not really interacted. The only thing is that she asked me about her brothers and sisters back home. She is really looking forward to going home
When did you leave Bayelsa on Tuesday?
We left Bayelsa at about nine o’clock in the morning of Tuesday.

The Department of State Services, DSS, has arrested Sir Victor Umeh.
DAILY POST reports that Umeh was picked up at his Enugu residence Thursday afternoon.
Umeh, a former chairman of APGA is the party’s candidate for the postponed Anambra Central Senatorial District re-run election.
His media aide, Mr. Stan Okeke, who confirmed the arrest to journalists in Enugu said it was sequel to a petition by Senator Uche Ekwunife, former Governor Peter Obi and Uzu Awka.
According to Okeke, Umeh is being accused of sponsoring the recent pro-Biafra activities of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB and the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
He, however, said that contrary to reports that Umeh was handcuffed and was flown to Abuja, “They travelled by road and as I speak with you
(8.25PM), they are still on their way to Abuja”.

NIGERIAN ARMY, POLICE, AND NAVY, MUST ALLOW IPOB TO BURY THEIR DEAD
It is disheartening to hear that Nigeria army and police intercepted and arrested 22 Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on 26th Feb 2016 who were returning from the burial of one of their brothers by name Nzubechukwu Onwumere who was shot dead on the 9th of February 2016 while praying for the release of leader Nnamdi Kanu and the restoration of Biafra at national high school Aba.
They have killed these unarmed Biafrans, and will not allow their people to bury them. This is the only country where quest for self-determination is interpreted as treason and attending the burial of indigenous people a crime. This is unbelievable. Nigeria is a disgrace to black Africa and a disappointment to democracy.
I am forced by this barbaric act of the  Nigerian army to believe that Nigeria government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has employed released members of Boko haram, to ensure that total annihilation of Biafrans is achieved.

Self-determination is a universal law; United Nation should stand up to its responsibilities. I also call on the European Union to stand on the part of justice and call for referendum for the freedom of the Indigenous People of Biafra. The right of the indigenous people to self determination is an inalienable right. Why is Nigeria killing Biafrans on the basis that we ask for our right to be independence. Is the agitation not lawful?If it is, why is the United Nations that made that law not saying?

The Leader of the “Indigenous People Of Biafra” (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has allegedly sue the Nigerian Govt, for a whooping sum of $800 million for his unjust and illegal detention.
Reports reaching us late Thursday have it that the embattled leader on Wednesday filed the case at the ECOWAS court of Justice in Abuja Wednesday 02, March 2016,
Mr. Kanu has been ilegally detained in Abuja since October after he was arrested in a Lagos Hotel by the Nigerian security operatives (DSS)  further more charging him for a treasonable felony but without provable evidence has failed to convince the court.

We condemn in totality the arrest of Chief Victor Umeh (former chairman of APGA political party) by the operatives of the DSS, reportedly for “sponsorship of Indigenous People of Biafra or IPOB”. Criminalization of Nigeria’s international and regional treaty rights by the Buhari Administration and use of same to haunt and hound citizens into arbitrary detention is a height of State terrorism in Nigeria and out rightly condemnable.
It is shocking and alarming that the Government of Nigeria which willingly acceded to these treaties rights and fully accepted their obligations as a “State party and their protector and enforcer” can turn around and resort to punishing its citizens for exercising and enjoying the same rights.  Linking Chief Victor Umeh to the so called “sponsorship of IPOB”, is a height of political criminality and persecution on the part of the Government of Muhammadu Buhari. We have always maintained that social conviction leading to any nonviolent agitation for social or societal equilibrium is beyond what money can buy. It is conscientious and priceless!
Because Nigerian political leaders are rapaciously corrupt and immoral, they always believe that money answers all things. From our extensive investigations of the IPOB and its activities, it is found beyond any refutation that the group and its activities are internationally oriented with presence in over 80 countries including the brightest and darkest parts of the world.
The IPOB and its activities are also beyond the reach, influence and control and sponsorship of Nigerian politicians of Igbo extraction. What some, if not many of them and other Igbo political traders do is to go to Aso Rock, impersonate and gamble with what IPOB is doing with intent to defraud their hosts. But in reality, they do not have an iota of access to the group and its leaders, not to talk of “sponsoring their activities”.
The allegation of sponsorship of IPOB in non-existent in Nigeria and use of same to inflict political violence on innocent politicians of Igbo extraction should no longer be condoned; likewise politicians who take resort to same as their political weapons against their opponents.
We condemn all forms of political persecution in Nigeria under the Buhari administration.
While calling for immediate and unconditional release of Chief Victor Umeh, we also urge his camp to thread softly and avoid making questionable allegations or guess opinions directed at some persons. Our condemnation of the arrest of Chief Victor Umeh and call for his immediate and unconditional release is strictly on the basis of an allegation that “he is sponsoring IPOB in Nigeria”. This we found to be infantile, witch-hunting, ill-conceived and politically motivated.
But if the purpose of his arrest has to do with credible allegations of “commission of offenses related to corruption” or “street crimes” or traditional and non politically related crimes or offenses, then our advocacy sympathy for him will be very limited and restricted towards ensuring that he fully enjoys all his pre-detention and prosecutorial rights. We have held and still hold that all private, corporate and public citizens including politicians in Nigeria must stay away from “white collar (corruption)” and “street crimes”, and in the event any of them is arrested or summoned by the appropriate authorities, we shall throw our full weight behind their arrest or summoning provided it is done in accordance with the rule of law and respect for human rights.

A British opposition politician is calling on the U.K. government to investigate allegations of human rights abuses against Biafran independence protesters in Nigeria.
Thousands of people have demonstrated across southeast Nigeria in recent months, calling for a referendum on independence for the former Republic of Biafra, which existed between 1967 and 1970 and was mainly populated by members of the Igbo ethnic group. Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of a prominent pro-Biafra group called the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was arrested by Nigerian security forces in October 2015 and has been in detention since. Kanu is to stand trial in Nigeria on Monday charged with treason, which carries a maximum life sentence in Nigeria.
Angela Rayner, Shadow Minister for Work and Pensions and Labour MP for Ashton-under-Lyne in northwest England, tells Newsweek that she raised the issue with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) after receiving evidence from constituents alleging human rights abuses against Kanu—who is a dual U.K-Nigerian national—and pro-Biafra protesters in Nigeria.

“There is a strong Biafran presence in my constituency and I’m concerned that we don’t sit on our morals,” says Rayner. “I expect the government to take the issue seriously and to ensure they do everything in their power to protect individuals across the world.”
Kanu’s group alleges that scores of their members have been killed during protests since October 2015 and Amnesty International told Newsweek earlier in February that it was investigating reports of abuses in at least four locations—Aba, Enugu and Onitsha in southeast Nigeria and Port Harcourt in southern Nigeria.
An FCO spokesperson told Newsweek: “The U.K. takes all accusations of human rights abuses seriously. We do not share the assessment that there is institutionalized persecution of the Igbo or any other peoples by the Nigerian authorities.” The spokesperson added that British consular officials had visited Kanu several times and that, on each occasion, the activist was in good health and said he had access to a doctor and his lawyer.
Rayner spoke to Newsweek ahead of a pro-Biafra demonstration held outside the Houses of Parliament in London on Wednesday, which she attended. A pro-Biafra demonstrator attending the event told Newsweek that around 150 people had gathered with Biafran flags to demonstrate.                                 
While Rayner declines to comment on whether the group should be granted a referendum on Biafran independence, she says that the issue must be dealt with in accordance with international human rights law. “My role is to continue to ensure that our FCO is keeping an eye on what’s happening there and that the rule of law is applied in all cases,” says Rayner.
The Nigerian government has declined to comment on the pro-Biafra protests and Kanu’s detention despite several requests from Newsweek. In December 2015, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari said that Kanu could not be released on bail because he posed a flight risk and that he should face justice in Nigeria.

Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma popularly known as Ebube Muonso who oversees the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State has ordered the Federal government to promptly effect the release of the embattled Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra Mr. Nnamdi Kanu who has being incarcerated for more than 5 months on allegations of committing treason offence. 
Kanu's trial once again would hopefully be coming up on the 7th of March, 2016 and this is obviously where the competence, fairness and independence of Nigerians judiciary would be put to taste.

IPOB Begins Spiritual Journey For Kanu's Release, Restoration of Biafra

NNEWI—The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, yesterday in Anambra State, embarked on spiritual warfare in its agitation for the release of their incarcerated leader and Director of Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, with a prayer session and fasting in some parts of the state. 

The prayer and fasting which started at exactly 7am and ended at about 3pm in some locations of the state where members trooped out to without the usual display of IPOB flags and banners, was aimed at God’s intervention for the release of Mr. Kanu, actualization of Biafra, and the alleged intimidation, harassment, and killings of the members of the group by military operatives, whom they said will not go free for the innocent blood they are shedding. 

In a statement issued after their prayer at a location in Nkpor in Nnewi South Council Area, IPOB Media and Publicity Officer, Mr. Emma Powerful called on the Bishops and priests of the Catholic, Anglican Churches and Pentecostals Pastors to be prayerful for the restoration of Biafra and for the release of Mr. Kanu”. 
Nigeria is dwindling to irredeemable situation under the All Progressives Congress, APC, government of President Muhammadu Buhari. 

“Biafra is the only answer to the problem Nigeria is facing now. The APC government is confused and the people who led Nigeria into this mess, the APC henchmen, their so called national leaders who wanted change at all cost are now all dumb. 

They have no answer to the problems they have created. The only answer now is Biafra.

“We are not joking about this spiritual declaration. 

We have been praying and fasting. 

No bloodshed of Biafrans will go unpunished. 

The APC members who are deeply religious should go and ask questions about the consequences of the atrocities they have committed with the killing of innocent youths who were praying at Aba, innocent youths who were peacefully agitating in Onitsha whom the military killed. 

“When we were taking those they shot dead to hospitals, their blood was revolting against the APC government and the party which will never know peace until they leave IPOB and other Biafra agitating groups alone”, he said. 
He also urged the churches to pray ceaselessly because the people being killed are their members and children of God who were exercising their constitutional rights of peaceful protest and non violent agitation, adding that they should equally pray for Mr. Kanu who is facing unjust trial. 

Mr Powerful described Kanu as God sent from United Kingdom, where he has everything going for him but decided to come to Nigeria and suffer and liberate the marginalized and humiliated sections of Nigerians that are asking for freedom. 
“We want Chukwuokike Abiama (God Almighty) to reveal the truth in the next court and to the world, for Mr. Kanu our innocent leader, to disgrace and blind the enemies of Biafra and those who want to use Biafra and Mr. Kanu to gain cheep popularity in their misguided government that is heading for the rocks” he said.

The Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has disclosed that shortly after the civil war, the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, advised the Gen. Yakubu Gowon regime to deploy new wealth from oil to building human capital through the implementation of a nationwide free education programme.
While pointing out that the government failed to act on that recommendation, he lamented that “Nigeria as a whole is still paying the price for that error.”
El-Rufai disclosed this on Thursday at the Chief Obafemi Awolowo commemorative birthday symposium at Efunyela Hall of the late sage’s Ikenne country home organised by the Awolowo Foundation with the theme: “Awo, Then and Now: Politics, Economics and Education”.

He noted that three decades after Awolowo’s death and over 60 years after he introduced free and qualitative education to the Western Region, the positive effects of the programme had continued to attract good comments, because he stood for the common good of his people.
According to him, “It is conventional these days to salute the thinking and the comprehensive execution of the free education policy. Sixty years after that signal policy, the consequences still echo in the dynamism of the professional classes and the political consciousness in the West.
“He resisted higher taxes in order to fund the programme.

“Chief Awolowo stood his ground for the common good. It is a lesson for political office-holders, an admonition to do what is necessary, important and consequential, rather than the merely popular.”

It is finally revealed, the reason why Reverend Ejike Mbaka, priest at the Catholic Adoration Ministry in Enugu, visited President Muhammadu Buhari recently at Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, Nigeria’s seat of power.
Biafra Media Group (BMG) investigation revealed that the Catholic clergy visited the Nigerian ruler for three major reasons, of which one was to solicit for funds for his pet project. The project was clinching the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) president position. Mbaka has been scavenging for funds to enable him pursue his ambition of becoming the next president of CAN.

One of our sources said the Nigerian ruler saw the development as a win-win situation for both of them and was ready to help. According to the source, Buhari needed a leader in CAN that would not present a strong opposition to his Nigerian islamization agenda, and he felt Mbaka was the man. He knew Mbaka was always ready to do anything for anyone that would help him fulfill his ambition.
Buhari knew that many Christians in the country were becoming jittery as his Nigeria islamization efforts were being exposed. He knew that the current CAN leadership was not resting on their oars to thwart his plans. This was why he obliged Mbaka’s requests, and the Catholic clergy left the Villa with a large war-chest to fund his CAN presidential campaigns.
On Buhari’s part, he was said to have also welcomed Mbaka with open hands because of his poor health which was said to be dangerously and mysteriously deteriorating fast. He needed friendly Christian leaders, in fact any friendly religious leader, to pray for him to get well.
Another reason why Mbaka got what he wanted from Buhari was because he (Buhari) had attracted a lot of hostility to his government, and in so doing, has run his government into a cul-de-sac. The genocide his men have been committing across the country against Biafrans and Shiite Muslims, and his illegal actions in court, have started to take their toll on the cohesion of his government’s activities, mostly his internationally engagements.
Also, he was not lost on the religious war that was loading dangerously in the country. He was looking for opportunities to douse it, and he does not also want the Christian community to become restive as well. Therefore, he believed that creating an image of chummy relationship with some Christian leaders would do the magic. He saw Mbaka as one of such Christian leaders that should be used.
Apart from the genocide his men had unleashed on the Nigerian population, Buhari was having serious pressure on his government for the extra-judicial detention of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra. Kanu’s detention has provoked an ongoing protest, both within Nigeria and internationally, in a way that is unprecedented in the annals of the country’s history. He had become jittery and in panic mode.
Coupled with Kanu’s illegal detention is also that of Sambo Dasuki, former National Security Adviser, who named him as beneficiary of a corrupt act for which he (Dasuki) was being tried.

Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo Allegedly Speaks against Biafran Restoration


Was it all publicity stunt? 
Madam Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo who had being publicly supporting the emergence of a sovereign State of Biafra through her facebook video post was recently alleged to have made utterances that could hurt her Biafran supporters who believed she was genuine about her support for Biafran people.
In regards to that, we stumbled upon hash tag #NeverTrustYorubas with an attachment of the clip. 
As at this moment, we cannot ascertain how true this report is, but in the audio, one could be right to say that the voice that was heard is likely to be that of Kemi Olunloyo.

ELDER statesman, Alhaji Yusuf Maitama Sule, is not known for granting many interviews; rather, the media gets update on his thoughts from his grand public speeches. However, on this occasion, he was willing to speak exclusively to Sunday Sun. Relaxed in his Kano home, the Danmasan in Kano reflected glowingly on the leadership qualities of the late Premier of Northern Nigeria, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello, he lamented the perfected thievery of the present times, waxed rhetorically through the trials of the Nigerian state, dusting up its tensed and troubled moments. He remarked that the true story of the Civil War in the country was yet to be told. Very importantly, he spoke on the recent efforts by some people in the South-east to resurrect the Biafra Republic, saying they would not succeed. To each of these topics, he was exhaustive, incisive and inspiring. Desmond Mgboh captured the words of this legendary orator and octogenarian.
You were an associate of the late Premier of Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello. 50 years after his death, we would like to share in your thoughts on the late Sardauna. What exactly marks him out as a great leader?

Sardauna was a great man. He was born great; he had great­ness thrust upon him and he achieved greatness. Sardauna was a leader in the true sense
 f the word. All his life, he was devoted to the service of his fellow man. He lived for the people and died for the people- A great leader who led his people with the philosophy of the herdsman.
The philosophy of the herdsman, you may have observed and may have seen is that the Fulani herdsman is always in front of his cows, leading them. He is not behind them driving them from behind. He is in front leading his cattle. The Fulani herdsman hangs a stick over his shoulders. That stick is not for beating them. It is for guarding his cattle. That Fulani herdsman can make his cattle do everything he wants them to do. While he is leading them in front, if he stops anywhere, they all would stop. If he should jump into the water, they all would jump into the water. If he starts running, all of them would run after him. He names all of his cattle. If he calls any one of his cattle by his name, he would come to him. He would leave the herd and come to him. In those days when there was the cattle tax, the Jangali, and if the tax man came to count the cattle in his herds, if he did not want his cattle to be counted, he would whistle or make a tune and the cows would all disperse into the forest. After the taxman had gone, he would make another whistle and they would all come back to him. During the rainstorm, the herdsman would take shelter under the tree and these animals would come and chase him away from under the tree and bring him to the open and make a circle around him, protect­ing him. They would not want him to sit under the tree for the fear that thunder may fall and crush their leader. Now, why do these cows behave like that? Why are they so obedient to their leader? The herdsman has sacrificed his life for his cattle, he has sacrificed his leisure for his cattle; he has sacrificed his health for his cattle. For the herdsman never leaves his cattle. He would sleep with the cows in the forest. If any one of them sleeps in the middle of the night, he would go out and get his herbs and leaves and treat this cow. If in the middle of the night he hears the cry of a leopard trying to take away a single calf, he would rather die than allow that wild animal to take away his calf……..
That is the herdsman. Sardauna sacrificed everything that he had for his people, everything! He became their leader and he got followership, loyal and obedient followership and that was how Sardauna was able to unite the North. He united the different tribes, the different religions and the different cultural backgrounds of the North.They were all united under one leadership. During his time, the people of the North were not calling themselves by the names of their tribes, they were not identifying themselves with their faith or religion. They were all known as Dan Arewa ( Arewa People). This was because of the quality of the leadership of the Sardauna. He did not discriminate against anybody on the grounds of religion, tribe or even political leaning and inclination. This was why Sardauna became great.
Indeed, if Sardauna’s philosophy were to be implemented and adopted today, we would solve all of our problems in Nigeria- political, religious and social. Why? Religiously, Sardauna never discriminated against anybody in the North because of his reli­gion. His best friend among the traditional rulers was the Chief of Kagoro, a minority from Southern Zaria and a Christian. This great man, the Chief of Kagoro, together with the Sardauna, built the North. The two of them belonged to different tribes and different religions, but both of them understood their reli­gions and the teachings of their religions – both religions taught us to respect one another, to live in peace, to help another, to love one and to do justice to one another irrespective of reli­gion. And they understood this and they implemented this. They built the North. Sardauna’s physician was a Christian; Dr. Ishaya Audu. His personal doctor was a Christian. His right hand man and indeed his next door neighbor, Michael Audu Buba, the Minister of Trade, he was a Christian from Plateau. There was a time when Sarduana went to the Kingsway Store in Kaduna to do some shopping. And he met some students going round in the shop doing some window shopping. And he asked them what they were doing and they said that they were going round looking at things. And he said alright, let each one of you go was a Christian from Plateau. He asked his servants to go and settle the bills. His servants did and unfortunately, his servants asked one of the boys,’ what tribe are you?’ What religion are you following? And unfor­tunately for that servant, the Sardauna overheard him. And he turned round furiously “Why should you ask him his tribe and religion? What has that got to with that? He is my son. Don’t you ever do that to me again? That was Sarduana. His Chief of Security, Sunday Awoniyi was a Christian, a Yoruba man. So you could not fault Sarduana as a religious leader. Even this CAN (Christian Associ­ation of Nigeria) was formed with the knowledge, the consent and support of Sarduana. Dr Ishaya Audu, his physician and Jolly Tanko Yusuf who was provincial secretary in Zaria, a Jukun from Wukari, and a Christian, both of them went to Sardauna and told him that they wanted to copy him- he was converting the Mazugawas (pagan tribes) to Islam. They said to him that in fairness to you sir, you are not converting Christians, you are converting pagans to Islam. He said good luck to them, that there is no compulsion in religion. It is matter of conviction. Later, they came to tell him that they have formed an organization to help them promote their cause. That organization was then the Christian Association of Northern Nigeria. CAN was the Christian Association of “Northern Nigeria”, not “Nigeria” at birth. It was later when the other Christians from the other parts of Nigeria embraced the association that the “ Northern” was taken away. And they became the Christian Association of Nigeria. But original­ly, it was the “Christian Association of Northern Nigeria. It was formed with the knowledge, the consent and the support of the Sardauna.
And mark you, at that time; Sardauna was the vice president of the World Muslim Congress, the premier of the North, a descendant of Shehu Us­man Danfodio, and a Muslim reformer, encourag­ing Christians to come together and promote their religion, would you fault this man religiously?
Politically, Mallam Aminu Kano and Tarka belonged to different political parties. Aminu was NEPU with his alliance with NCNC, and Tarka was UNCP with Action Group alliance; but these two gentlemen would always go to Sardauna to discuss issues concerning the North and if they had any personal problems, they would go and tell him also.
Aminu Kano, any time he went to Kaduna to lecture, would always stop at Sardauna’s house and once Sardauna was told that he was around, he would come out and meet him. Mallam Aminu’s boys would be grumbling, Sardauna’s servants would be cursing while Sardauna and Aminu would lock themselves up in a room, talking. And at the end of it, Sardauna would escort Mallam Aminu to his car and he would even give his boys money to buy something. Would you fault him politically?
Socially, if you went to Sardauna’s house in those days, you would see him sitting with his boys- his servants, his drivers, his cooks, his permanent secretaries, his ministers eating together, crack­ing jokes. Sardauna , he did not discriminate against anybody because he was poor or because he was ‘Talaka”. In fact, he never used the word “Talaka” on anybody because he thought that that was derogatory. Rather he would always say “My people”. Would you fault him socially? That was Sardauna. And again economically, you can’t even fault him. Sardauna used to tell his minister that you can’t run a race and scratch your buttock at the same time. Any of my ministers who wants to do business, should resign and go into business. I will help him. The people have elected us to protect their inertest. It will be wrong, it will be unfair and unjust for us to bounce on their interests because that is not our area. Hence, we had a situation whenever there were people from abroad that want to establish a business, he would try to find out those who are in that business and he would introduce them to the foreigners . He would not in­troduce his son, his brother or a relative of his wife. His main interest was to encourage and promote the interest of those people whose business it was to do that business. He used to say that I don’t want to be remembered after my death as having accu­mulated wealth. Rather I want to be remembered as having served my people.
Looking at the spate of corruption charges against some members of the political class, how do you think that Sardauna would have responded to this development?
I think that he would die 10 times over and would go back to his grave over the issue of corruption in the land. This is because Sardauna and our leaders in the First Republic- Dr Azikiwe, Chief Awolowo, Sir Abubakar Tafewa Balewa, Chief Aminu Kano and Tarka- were great leaders who went to do politics but not to be served; to give and not to take. Their main interest was the country. They were always prepared to cooperate with one another in order to move the country forward. They were always ready to sacrifice their personal interest for the personal interest of the country and in those days, their main concern and their dream was a greater Nigeria. A Nigeria united , a Nigeria whose people would be their brothers’ keeper, a Nigeria that would build a good reputation , a Nigeria that would be respected all over the world, a Nigeria that would be of a buoyant economy and a Nigeria that would enable her to lead in Africa , that would inspire the blacks all over the world. That was their dream. But has their dream been realized now? In those days, Nigeria had very high reputation in the world; Nigerians were respected all over the world. Wherever they went they were admired, they were loved; they were respected. The reputation of the country was high. Indeed, because of this, there was a report in 1961, which said that Nigeria with two other developing countries, would in 20 to 50 years, be shoulder-to-shoulder with the developed countries of the world- United States, Great Britain, Germany, France and so on. …. If it had gone with the kind of leadership that it had started with. That we would be great and we would be one of the great countries of the world. Because of what these leaders did. In those days, even the country at home was calm. We had morality in our society; there was respect for elders and respect for the constituted authority. Because of the good leadership, there was in fact little corruption in the system, if any at all. I have always stated that today unfortunately, all these norms and values that were left by our founding fathers- the Azikiwes, the Awolowos, the Tafawas-Balewas, all these norms and values have been thrown away and overboard. They are no longer with us. What is happening in the country, I mean the reports of corruption, is not in our char­acter. The institution of family has broken down, respect for our elders and constituted authority, which used to be a cardinal principle in our society is now at its lowest ebb. Honesty, where it does not pay, has become meaningless. Symptoms of revolt loom large in the horizon. In short today, there is meaningless philosophy, insecurity in polity; im­morality in society, corruption in economy and even frustration in arts and lack of creativity in literature. What is responsible for this is lack of good leader­ship. Sardauna and his likes would not like to see or hear the story of corruption. Like I said earlier, he would die 10 times and go back to his grave if he came to life and saw what is happening today.

But what is your personal reaction to the huge story of corruption that is prevalent in Nigeria today. How do you see it?
I see it as something that is very, very bad! I have told you, I have painted the picture black, but I have not lost hope. I have faith in God. And Nigerians, both Muslims and Christians are good followers of their religions and I hope that they would practice what they have been taught in their religions: he who has faith in God does not lose hope in Him. I am, therefore, optimistic – I am not a pessimist- that all the ugly things that are now around us would one day come to an end, by the grace of God. I have seen it in the past; I saw so many crises, before Independence, on Independence and after Independence. We have been able to overcome them, by the grace of God. Some­times, it was a miracle how we were able to overcome them, some of these crises. I saw the crisis of the Independence Motion of Chief Enahoro in 1952 or 53, which almost broke the country apart. That was during the colonial days. He brought this motion asking for Independence immediately and the Northern members of the House who were representatives amended the motion to read, ” as soon as practicable.” This did not go down with our Southern brothers and they organized all sorts of things against them. The Northern legislators were stoned, they were abused, and indeed, they had to be escorted to Kaduna by the police. Later Chief Akintola was sent to Kano to give a lecture, to explain to the people in the North that their representatives did not want Independence for the country. The lecture was never held and that was the reason we had the very first political riot in Kano. But soon after, we were able to put these things behind our back and our leaders came together and they started discussing the real issues of Independence. We overcame. Then, there was the Census crisis in the House of Representatives in 1958 or so. The Census figures were not accepted. For about a week, there was heated debate in the House, the country was about to break to pieces. Like a miracle , one morning the Prime Minister made a short a statement, a short statement lasting not more than five minutes. And that brought to an end the heated crisis. Again, we were able to over­come. In 1959, after the Independence elec­tions, no one party had the overall majority to enable it form the government alone. But NPC had more seats than either of the two parties , Action Group or NCNC. People started talking or urging the two southern parties, Action Group and NCNC, to form an alliance. If they did, they would be able to form a government. But some well-meaning people waded into the crisis. They said look, if you do that, you will elbow out the North. The NPC represents the North; it is more than half of the country in size and population. If you did that, you will elbow out the North and the North might think of breaking away from the country. They told Zik, “ Look you were in the forefront for the struggle of the independence of the country and you wanted an independent , united Nigeria. If you did this , you will be breaking up Nigeria. That was not your wish.” And Zik did the right thing, he agreed to enter into alliance with the NPC. He agreed to surrender the prime ministership with the executive power to the NPC. That saved the country again. In 1964, we had a controver­sial election, the two main political parties – Action Group and NCNC, boycotted the elections. The NPC and the UNDP, a new party formed by Chief Akintola after he had broken away from the Action Group, went to the polls. Akintola was the premier of the West. So the West and the North went to the polls. The East and Mid -West did not and we claimed that we had won the elections. The President, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, according to the Constitution was the one to invite the leader of the party or governing party or majority party to form the government. He said that he would not because elections were not conclusive, or the elections were not conducted properly. The country became ungovernable. Some well-meaning people waded into the crisis and they brought the leaders of the parties, NCNC and NPC together and they agreed that parties that did not hold the elections should go and conduct elections- in the Mid West and in the East where there were no elections and where the NCNC was in control. They went and held elections and brought their members, and they joined to form what was then called a broad-based government. Again we overcame. Even the coup in 1966 would not have been possible if the statement the prime minister had wanted to make the next day, if he had made it. This is because on the night of the coup, the prime minister was telling K O Mbadiwe and Festus Okotie -Eboh, when they went to discuss the Western crisis that he did not support the crisis and that he would make a statement the next day and declare a state of emergency in the West, remove Akintola and appoint an administrator. He had even draft­ed the speech and given it to K.O Mbadiwe and said he should go and sleep over it.
That if he had any suggestions he should bring them back the next morning. That was the statement he never made. On that night, he was carried away and killed. So if he had made that statement, we would have over­come that crisis. However, after the coup, when there was a counter coup in June and July 1966, many people wanted to break out. Again some people waded into the crisis and we were able to save the country and the country remained one. Then the Civil War came. Nobody expected that Nigeria would be the same again. In no part of the world was there any civil war at the end of which the country remained the same. Here in Nigeria, we were able to make it. After the Civil War, we came back together and we are still together. God has done it. What God has brought together, let no man put asunder.
(cuts in) But the Biafran people in the East are still making noise that they want to secede?
Although they are (still making efforts), they will not succeed by the grace of God. There are people who did not know what happened during the Civil War. The story of the Civil War, the Biafran war is presented in different ways by different people. But the truth is yet to be known. Those of us that know what it was and that saw it all……. For example, no one in Lagos; no one of us in Lagos today knows about the crisis of the Civil War or about the night of the coup and the day after, no one knows it more than I do. And I have been asked severally to write about what I saw on that night. But I have told people that I will not! Were I to say or to write and tell the nation what I knew, what I saw, what I heard before, during and after the coup, I will open a fresh wound. I will not do that! Having enjoyed peace, having come together, having forgiven one another, I should not open the old wound. No!
What about your advice to the youth agitating in the South-east for the birth of Biafra?
Let them listen to their elders. Those agitating for it are young people who don’t know what happened in those days; who don’t know the history. And in any event, those, for example, in the North are not afraid, but they don’t want it. I don’t want this country to disintegrate and I don’t pray for the disintegration of this country, not because we (the North) cannot stand on our own……. I was the minister of mines and power. At Independence, I was the first min­ister of oil and I had served more than any other minister in that ministry having been there for almost seven years- From 1959 to 1966, I know what we have in the country; I know what we have in the North. The North has got enough. We have got diamonds, gold, uranium and even oil and minerals. We have got agricultural lands. We have got the land and we can be on our own , but I don’t want us to be alone . I want us to share these with our brothers. It is not for nothing that God has brought us together- different tribes, different t religions and different political inclinations, and even different climatic conditions. God has brought us together so that we may learn to live with one another in peace. Because of the role he wants us to play. God wants us to lead Africa; God wants us to inspire the blacks of the world. We can only do this if we are united at home and if we respect one another at home. Nigeria is big enough to accommodate all of us. We must learn to respect one another. Today, we are talking of globalization and yet people here are talking of disintegration. Europe has formed European Union. Even Africa has got an African Union. The United States of America is thinking of teaming up with Cana­da and Brazil to form an Economic Union in that area. We are talking of globalization and unification. Quite recently, Scotland wanted to break away from Great Britain, they had a plebiscite recently . It did not succeed. They remained one. They are still part of Great Britain. Yet, here you are talking of breaking away. No! Let those sons of ours think of Nigeria, not of themselves. It is not in their interest. Their people are very enterprising, hardworking. They are industrious. They go to other parts of the country. I want them to feel free to go to any part of the country and feel that we are together, that we are our brothers’ keeper.
What is your assessment of the administration of President Buhari?
I am beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel with the coming of Buhari, because of his character, his track record and his achievements in the past. I think that we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We are beginning to see the end of these ugly things. Buhari is a man of integrity, a no -nonsense man. But mark you, he is a human being. I am not saying that he is not making mistakes. He is not perfect. Perfection is an attribute of God. No one person is perfect. But Buhari , by and large, is a man who can deliver. He is not corrupt, he is not greedy and he has integrity, both moral and financial. And what we need is a leader. We have a saying in Hausa that if any congregational prayer goes wrong, it is the man leading it that spoils it, and that is why I always pray that God may give us leaders and not rulers nor looters. May God grant that we may have leaders! Leaders; not rulers. Leaders; not looters. Leaders with the fear of God. Leaders who will not lie. Leaders who will accept in public what they have accepted in secret; leaders who are not corrupt. Leaders who will look at the com­mon man with eyes of compatriots; not with the eyes of a privileged few; Leaders with a vision and not a blurred vision. Leaders who will know when they are no longer equal to the exigencies of their nation and would have the prudence of handing over to others before they forfeit the respect of their coun­trymen; Leaders who know that they would one day stand before God to account for what they did. We must have such leaders. We had them in the past and at the beginning of this country- the founding fathers.
We are now having one in Buhari, I say this because of Buhari’s own record. When he was a military leader, we saw it. Within the short period that he led this country, he was able to instill discipline in our country, he raised the moral tone of this country, he started fighting corruption and he gave this country a sense of direction. I strongly believe and pray that he would do the same and even more this time around.

The biblical Judas Iscariot represents many in our today’s unfolding world of events especially that which has to do with Biafra restoration. Judas could wreck and mortgage his entire generation just for thirty pieces of silver. He thought that could solve his problems, little did he know that he was at the climax of his woes. Most people will hypocritically frown and wish they could kill Judas if he is to be here today in our world, but little do they know that they are worse than Judas Iscariot. One thing Judas of the old refused to understand was that his moves to betray the Truth (Yashua) was at his peril, he took the money but could not live to enjoy it.
Today many Judas are standing on the way of truth (Biafra) with no reflections as to their fate and the consequences of their actions. They are blind-folded by the Naira spirit that they find it irrelevant to peruse through history, through lives and endings of those who stood on the path of truth. While Biafra is coming forcefully like Hurricane, many Judas’ are already wounded while others are yet to be crushed. Below are those who are already wounded even as others are likely to get crushed.

Without thinking, he termed Biafran protesters “miscreants” and today, he has been proven to be the “elder states miscreant”. The reality on ground today has made him hide his face in shame whenever issues about Biafra is being discussed. His inability to distinguish between the resoluteness of Biafrans and the plots of his Ohanaeze friends cum some Governors failed his intelligence. Today he is badly wounded by the reality that no one takes him serious any longer just as no one takes Nigeria seriously.

Unfortunately, he was failed by today’s achievements and resoluteness of Biafrans to restore their nation that he became the Palestinian’s advocate for freedom; preaching freedom for Palestinians at every international platform he finds himself. Feeling frustrated by Nnamdi Kanu’s rejection of bribes and demonic promises offered him, decided to apportion the blame for the Biafran quest on National Assembly’s inability to start a debate on Biafra restoration. His strategy of killing Biafrans even at prayer grounds has made him a culprit at the International Criminal Court (ICC) and at Amnesty International (AI). Many who talked him into the mess are abandoning him knowing how stinking his future would be before the ICC and AI. Many investors are deserting the Nigerian scene knowing too well that Nigeria’s end has come. What a wounded general!

Today the Pope has also exposed Mbaka’s ignorance and made him look like a lone wolf when he (the Pope) acknowledged Biafran protesters in the Vatican. While the monetized Enugu priest called Biafra protests “evil”, the Pope to whom Mbaka is a subordinate, acknowledged Biafrans in a special way at the Vatican. What a wounded and frustrated Judas!

While many of these governors chose to collaborate with the enemies to kill Biafrans, they failed to realise that every blood that drops on the ground will speak against those who are responsible for it. These governors will suddenly see Biafra and then it would be a point of no return as it might be too late to make amends. Biafrans are not happy with them, they should understand that now, and their role over Nnamdi Kanu’s ordeals are seen on the Biafran radars. The earlier they realise that their pathway could only lead them to destruction, the better their situation would become, as time will definitely prove them wrong.

These are the few criminals who respected Igbo-Biafrans have distanced themselves from, since time immemorial. Ojukwu many years ago, described them as a bunch of “political job seekers”, knowing too well that they are just a gathering of thieves who are like Abuja tax-force against the progress of other Igbo-Biafrans. While in Qatar, Buhari was interviewed by Martine Dennis of Al Jazeera on shooting of unarmed pro-Biafran protesters in Aba, Abia State on 9 February this year. Dennis during the interview suggested Buhari could watch the video of the hideous genocide committed on his order. Buhari outrightly refused to watch the video. In response to the killing of innocent Biafran protesters, Buhari said: “At least two million Nigerians were killed in the Biafra war. And for somebody to wake up, may be they weren’t born, looking for Biafra after two million people were killed, they are joking with the security and Nigeria won’t tolerate Biafra.” When we said this man is too dumb to be a local government chairman let alone a President, some thought it to be a joke. How can a president who have been going around supporting the struggle for self determination of the Palestine state of Israel come up on a world TV to give such fable response a genocide committed on his orders. Someone might ask; how did you know it was committed on his orders? His response to Martin Dennis's question says it all, I mean besides the fact that he is the Commander in-chief of the armed forces. Through that response, Buhari has justified the present killing of innocent Biafrans. Should the fact that over 3million Biafrans have given their lives for the Biafran course with many more willing to do so not spur Buhari into granting Biafrans freedom rather than killing more Biafrans and going around putting up a pathetic try to justify his murders? The world is watching, a Hitler has risen from Africa with desperation to intimidate, kill, and suppress the Biafrans but he will fail at it. Hope the British that caused this by amalgamating Biafrans with insane Islamic semi-humans are watching? Hope the united nation is hearing? Hope the European Union and African Union is at alert? If Buhari is thinking that with a reference to the Biafran war he can intimidate Biafrans, then he should go and read about Biafrans, we don't fret or fidget at threats, we would rather in a fight for freedom like our fathers and grandfathers did in 1967-1970, than live as slaves to Buhari and his misguided brothers as he calls them. Questioned about his foreign exchange policy affecting Nigerians who had children studying abroad – just like himself whose daughter Zara is in University of Surray, UK. He said “those who can afford it can afford it”. It appears he is among those that can afford to send their children abroad for education; Zara Buhari is not only schooling in one of UK's most expensive schools, she also drives a Porsche to school and lives an expensive lifestyle, which is different from the picture his father Buhari painted when he claimed, while running for president, that he could not afford the nomination fee. 
On the padding of his budget, Buhari's response to the interviewer was “you know more about our budget than I do”. Imagine such a waveoff? After his spokesman, Garba Shehu had declared in February that the president turned down the invitation of Saudi Arabia to join a coalition of Islamic states against terror, Buhari flip-flopped in this interview to state that Nigeria had joined. He did not seem concerned that Nigeria was not an Islamic state and said that the Christians complaining about it can go and fight Boko Haram.
Watch video here Questioned about whether he had defeated Boko Haram after claiming that he would defeat them by the end of December last year, Buhari told Dennis that the people of Nigeria knew better than her.  THE INVASION AND SCOURGE OF FULANI HERDSMEN IN OUR LANDS

The unabated and unbridled terror been perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen has heightened since the assumption of office of President Muhammadu Buhari. Their heinous crimes in our lands has crossed the limit and a handshake taken too far.
The Federal Government has failed in its duty to protect hapless and defenceless innocent citizens especially in rural communities all over the country. They stood by while criminals wielding dangerous weapons like AK 47 assault rifles and automatic pistols not only lead their cattle to destroy farmlands but also invade, sack and seize lands belonging to communities. They also kill, rob, rape our women and kidnap both the high and low in the society, with impunity.

The most celebrated case was the abduction of Afenifere chieftain and a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae. Even after that, hardly will a day pass without such ugly incidents being reported.
The Fulani herdsmen have been invading farmlands and creating sorrows in their host communities.
Before now, their violent activities used to be within the confines of the Middle-belt region and some Northern states but they have since spread their carnage to the Southern part of the country particularly in Nsukka, Eziagu, and other communities in Enugu and Anambra States where their inhumane activities have been recorded.
For decades in the Middle-belt particularly the Idoma people of Benue state, the nomadic Fulani and farmers have lived in a symbiotic relationship, albeit with occasional clashes over farm crops. Recently, however, the Fulani have morphed into a violent ethnic group, eroding the long decade of peaceful co-existence they once shared with the indigenous populations during their seasonal North-South nomadic migration. They have traded the herding stick for the machine gun and have killed and maimed the indigenous peoples of the Middle-belt and other regions of the country.

Furthermore, they have allied with their Fulani kins from neighbouring countries so that, together, they can drive indigenous farmers from their lands.
They are at this moment, committing these acts with impunity and brutality. Their atrocities are so gruesome and grisly that only a savage mind could bear to imagine them. they go to the limit of putting to test, the tolerance of ethnic groups whose ancestral lands are at stake, depriving and dispossessing them of their lands.

Just recently, the Idoma people of Agatu Local Government Area of Benue state lamented and protested at the National Assembly complex at Abuja over the senseless killings of their people by the murderous and parasitic Fulani herdsmen who had invaded their communities. According to Paul Ede: the Coordinator of the coalition of civil society groups in the state, the Hausa Fulani had laid siege for weeks in their lands, perpetrating wanton destruction of lives and properties. He stated that about 400 persons had since lost their lives to the Fulani Herdsmen.
The Fulani activities are not only aimed at cleansing fertile lands of their ethnic owners, but at instilling islamization. We believe islamization is the reason the Boko Haram power structure has been aiding the Fulani. It also stands to reason, why their acts of terrorism are receiving the Janus condemnation from the Northern establishment.

The Fulani herdsmen under Buhari are sacred cows, and not only that, the most privileged and pampered ethnic group. There is a special education for them; Nomadic Education, where schools have been built for them along their nomadic routes. There are ill-conceived and misguided bills in both houses of the National Assembly to create a new bureaucratic and money-siphoning structure called National Reserves and Grazing Routes. These special treatments for the Fulani herdsmen will not solve the nomadic Fulani question.It is not only the Boko Haram insurgency that is the scourge of violence in the country, but also the nomadic Fulani who have been infiltrated by elements of Boko Haram, and Al-Queda from Mali, Niger and Chad.

 The truth about the Fulani nomads is that their number is very few, perhaps just a few million, but yet, they have in recent times, caused more death and destruction than any ethnic group.
It is not surprising that the Fulani herdsmen were hardly arrested despite their many acts of violence and destruction. Buhari who is very much sympathetic towards Fulani herdsmen just like he is to Boko Haram had in the past referred to them as 'my people'. We recall how, he had led a strong delegation of northern leaders to visit the then Governor of Oyo state, Lam Adeshina, after a violent clash between Fulani herdsmen and some Yoruba farmers in 2000 in the state. Buhari on arrival had asked the Governor; "Why are your people killing my people?". Governor Adeshina, apparently shocked with disbelief responded that he was rather surprised that a former Head of State would refer to one ethnic group as his people and another as someone else's. He stated that this was especially so, given the fact that people were killed on both sides of the divide in the sad and unfortunate conflict.

The upper north has space and is fertile enough for science to convert the barren desert and semi-desert parts into arable fertile grazing reserves where they can become semi-nomadic and the meat basket of the country. It is disheartening for nomadism to be politicized by Nigerian politicians, such as in the case with the Fulani nomads in the country. There is no doubt that there exists an agenda behind the Fulani ethnic group continuing their nomadic lifestyle. They are been used as a smokescreen for the internal colonization of our lands.
The Fulani herdsmen with links to Boko Haram are of a major security threat to any community they occupy because they can easily erupt crisis having populated the entire space under the ingenious guise of selling cattle. They are truly from Hell just like Femi Fani-Kayode rightly asserted; "These herdsmen have become the pests of our nation. They are like the East African tsetse-fly; wherever they go, they suck the life blood out of their hosts and like leeches; they indulge in a parasitic mode of nutrition and they suck the blood of the carcass until their victim is left dead".
"They are only known for the most hideous things. This includes terror, intimidation, theft, rape, abduction, mutilation, the violation of the rights of others, the destruction of our lands and crops of farmers and their properties".

Since the Federal Government have continued to fail to act and protect the citizens from these armed bandits who had become our greatest nightmare, communities should not be blamed if they organise reprisal attacks or resort to pick up arms to protect their lands, communities and their people from these scavengers and intruders who only seek to despoil their heritage.
Ese Oruru And her Abductor Yinusa
 It is said that throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted, the indifference of those who should have known better and the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most that has made it possible for evil to triumph.
The case of Ese Rita Oruru; a 14 year old girl from Opolo, Bayelsa state, was that of the act of pedophilia, child abduction, child trafficking, rape and abuse, slavery impunity, wickedness, and on the part of the Police and the Nigerian security agents, ineptitude, inconsistency and lackadaisical approach to the plight of Ese.



Ese Oruru who was abducted since August 12, 2015 in her mother's shop in Bayelsa state by one Yunusa Dahiru; the subject of the Emir of Kano; Emir Muhammadu Sanusi, was whisked away to the Emir's palace where she was forcefully islamized, renamed to Aisha Chuwas and married off to the extent of getting her(a minor for that matter) pregnant against her wish and the consent of her parents.
Ese has undergone physical and mental torture, she has been traumatized and has suffered since her abduction when she was just a 13 year old teenage girl by the Fulani men. She has been subjected through execrable situation since her abduction. Ese was confirmed 5 months pregnant after conducting a medical check-up on her at the Medical Department of the Nigerian Police Force in Abuja after securing her release from the hands of men of impunity.

It is very shameful and disgusting that up till this moment, this matter has not been holistically investigated by the country's security forces as according to the narration given by Ese Oruru's mother on AIT; "those who abducted her daughter admitted that the Emir of Kano himself; Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Nigeria's immediate past Apex Bank Governor, ordered for the abduction of Ese and was brought to his palace for his pleasure. If this piece of information is anything to go by, then the Emir as a complicit in Ese's abduction is not only culpable of a crime, but has proved that he is also a pedophile, girl-child molester and a child trafficker.

The Emir of Kano, Sanusi, surely has a case to answer in the ill-conceived abduction of Ese. It therefore behooves on him to come out from the closet and tell the public what he did with Ese and the role he played in the abduction of the minor, otherwise we are entitled to assume that what Ese's mother said is the truth. But lets look at the other part of the cover-up explanation he has given so far. Sanusi had rather blamed the Police, saying that: "The Police are those behind this delay. I have done my best for her and even directed for action, it's unfortunate that the Police are delaying this matter". He claimed that he had settled the matter over the last six months, stating that he had directed that the district head of Kura, Sharia Commission and Hisbah(Islamic Police) to investigate the allegation Ese raised over threat to her life by her parents. He said that he further directed the Sharia Commission to liaise with the Assistant Inspector General of Police to repatriate the girl back to her family.

It is crystal clear that Emir Sanusi is shamefully trying to save face with this disjointed press release. His statements, makes nonsense of his exposure and level of education and at the same times, makes mockery of Nigeria's institutions.
Considering that at the time, Ese was a 13 year old girl, does the Police require anyone's permission to send her back to her parents or the Ministry for Women Affairs?. Why is the Emir now usurping the roles and functions of the law enforcement agencies and that of the Judiciary? Why is it that it took the Emir up to this moment to make such matter public and if at all he had instructed the Police to act on this when he discovered that she was abducted and kept in her palace, why not just tell them to return or hand over the child to her parents instead of referring the matter to the Sharia Court when Ese herself is a Christian? What has Sharia got to do with a Christian and when did the Sharia Court supersede the civil Nigerian Courts? Is the Emir the Chief Security Officer in Kano as to give security orders to the police?.




Rather than trying to cover up or blaming the Police, the Emir should release a more suitable statement to provide a counter explanation or we will be forced to believe Ese's mother.

The fact still remains that the girl was kidnapped and held in his palace for six months and he is responsible for anything that happens in the palace. If one of the employees in the White House kidnapped and housed someone(not to talk of a minor) in the White House, I bet the President of the United States will make a quick statement and will accept some responsibility.
More importantly, it was not even enough that he ordered that the issue gets resolved, since last year, he should have made sure that this was followed through properly.

In conclusion, based on the facts reported, Ese was kidnapped and housed in the Emir's palace, the Emir was aware of it and made a ruling on August 26, 2015. Somehow, they did not follow through or made sure that the girl was rightfully returned home to her parents. The media broke the story a week ago, this was six months after the Emir found out about her abduction and suddenly, the girl was released within the week.
This speaks volume into the issue. The Emir should at least be ashamed of himself that he housed a criminal and his victim. Clearly his order(if at all he gave one) was undermined if people did not take proper action after six months of instructing them to. It is either he does not have the clout or will to govern or he complicitly and deliberately wanted to keep Ese in his palace and prevent her from reuniting with her family. There is more to this than met the eyes.

This has been the same with another girl from Benue state named Patience Paul who was allegedly abducted and hidden at the Sultan's palace in Sokoto. It was reported that when her family went there to look for her, they brought out at least three different Christian teenage girls including the one from Igbo origin who has also been abducted to be later converted to Muslims. The Nigerian security agencies should mop-up security and ransack all the Northern Emir and Sultan palaces to rescue innocent Christian girls been abused everyday by these evil and moronic Fulani men who pedophilia tendencies are insatiable.

If it were to be in a country that largely works, Emir Sanusi would be a prime suspect where they deal seriously with pedophiles and child sex offenders but alas, this is Nigeria; a strange country where evil by the high and powerful triumph and are been swept into the carpet and often times, rather than admitting the truth, it is been justified and covered up. Nigeria is a country where those who expose such evil abomination and corrupt practices of its leaders are been demonized, despised, persecuted, hunted down or been threatened with violence, intimidation, arrests and spurious or unfounded criminal investigations targeted at suppressing the establishment of truth by evasion. That is the sad and sorry state of Nigeria and the reason why she can never move forward.

It is only in the South and on the powerless and less privileged that the rule of law exists and is applied to the fullest but in the North, Mallams make, amend and use the law as they so wishes, thereby dragging everyone else back. That is the nature of the country they want Biafrans to continue to stay in.
If not for the wide reportage accorded to the travails of Ese in the hands of those Fulani savages, she would not have regained her freedom and reunited with her family today. Instead she would still be into slavery, captivity and all manner of abuse at the Emir's palace.

 Though she has been freed but the trauma, segregation and the stigmatization she will face in the society is something that will stand the test of time.
If the masterminds, abductors and the accomplices of these heinous crimes against humanity are not arrested, convicted and prosecuted, if actually that Nigeria is truly a country and not an animal kingdom as people had tagged it to be, then the Security agencies should have conducted a thorough investigation, inviting the so-called Emir for serious questioning into the matter and possibly detain him to extract the raw truth from him, so that the case of Ese would be granted good justice and that will serve as a deterrent to other unruly Fulanis whose penchant for pedophilia has crossed beyond incurable limit. Otherwise, Nigeria would be going deep into a precipitous slide.

EXPECT A SURPRISE IN COURT TOMORROW AS NIGERIA PREPARES TO ANSWER A CASE AT ECOWAS COURT. Tomorrow being the 7th of March, The director of Radio Biafra/Biafra Television and the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra will appear in court in continuation of his unjust trial by the Nigerian republic. During his last hearing which took place on the 19th of February, the Nigerian government had asked a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to protect its witnesses from the public during the trial of the self-proclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. However, The trial judge, Justice James Tsoho said the prosecution did not furnish the court with enough evidence to show that, it’s witnesses were in danger, other than a mere mention by the prosecutor that his witnesses are scared for their lives. Justice Tsoho said he agreed with the Counsel to the accused persons that the demeanour of a witness is important in helping the court decide if he is a witness of truth or otherwise. He also said that the state has all of the resources to ensure that the witnesses in the suit are protected.
On another case, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has taken the Federal Government of Nigeria to the ECOWAS Court in a Suit No ECW/CCJ/APP/06/16 filed at the Court in Abuja on Thursday March 3, 2016, Kanu’s counsel Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor is claiming on behalf of his client that his continued detention violates Articles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, and 20 of the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights; Articles 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 12, 22 and 26 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights; Articles 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 13, 17, 20, 21 and 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; Article 22 Paragraph 1, of the Covenant of the League of Nations; as well as Resolution 2625 (Xxv) of the United Nations Charter of 1970 and Rulings of courts of competent jurisdiction and orders made directing the defendants to release which were flagrantly disobeyed. It is expected that the case filed by Nnamdi KANU might affect the federal high court's judgement in Abuja tomorrow owing to the fact that the Nigerian President, attorney general, minister of Justice and the Director of DSS has a bigger case to answer, and understands that any further unlawful dealing will definitely worsen the situation for them, though you can not for sure tell the level of daftness and ignorance of the dictator in power. Biafra: IPOB lambasts Ohanaeze Ndigbo

THE Indigenous Peo­ples of Biafra (IPOB) yesterday said that the Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr. Joe Nwaor­gu, lied over his denial that the pan socio-cul­tural organization has no hand in scuttling the actualization of the Sovereign State of Bi­afra.
IPOB insisted that its agi­tations actually spurred the U.S. delegation to the South­east contrary to Nwaorgu’s position that the Consular General visited other zones. A statement signed by the group’s spokespersons, Emma Mmezu and Dr. Clifford Iroanya berated Ohanaeze for using IPOB to gain access to Aso Rock Villa, while at the same time stifling the demand for freedom by all peace loving people of Biafra.
They also debunked the claim by Nwaogu that the U.S. delegation came to consult the Ndigbo on their perception of Nigeria, add­ing that IPOB was the real reason for the visit.
It read: “They have ex­posed their self-centered agenda for all to see. We shall be free some day, in spite of their spirited effort to sabo­tage, subvert and undermine anything good. The people know better. It is strange that they have stubbornly chosen to continue the dangerous play with naked fire”.
The statement further added: “No foreign delega­tion has ever had any meet­ing with Ndigbo, since 1970 except the U.S. delegation they met at Nike Lake last Friday. Nwaorgu and his cohorts still live in the past where trading off Ndigbo for personal gain has been their only source of livelihood as Ohanaeze leaders”.
“Their agenda remains: how to use our struggle and the blood of those killed in cold blood in the past few months to have access to Bu­hari, just so they can contin­ue their decades old culture of picking the crumbs in ev­ery government. This time, they have failed as nobody believes them.”

TERROR ATTACKS AND ABDUCTION OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA BY NIGERIA POLICE

The rate of abduction of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Family Members by SARS and Secret Islamic Police of Nigeria in every part of Biafraland for listening to Radio Biafra is alarming. It has moved slowly and secretly from Aba where arrest and unlawful detention of Keke Napep riders who tuned to Radio Biafra on their tricycle stereo,those with Radio Biafra App on their smart phone were molested and detained.

On Wednesday 7th October 2015, in a public display of terror attack; Ten Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)  were arrested in Trans-Ekulu Ugbo Odogwu in Enugu State by Nigeria Police "anti-robbery squad" while listening to the evening broadcast of Radio Biafra in a shop. They were accused of instigating war and thrown into jail. That is a ridiculous and absurd charge against innocent men. This is an act of abduction ordered by Muhammad Buhari's government to his Secret Islamic Police.

Radio Biafra has been jammed and neutralized by the Nigeria Broadcasting Commission(NBC) with millions of dollars but it still survived and blaring loud on every platform known as- online, app, satellite, radio FM,  shortwave, and also on TV station. The next decree given by President Muhammad Buhari of Nigeria is to neutralize IPOB members and listeners of Radio Biafra.
Recently as reported on Nigeria dailies, the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police Usman Gwary in charge of Zone 9 has declared categorically that the police are ready to battle the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Every Nigeria Police Command situated in Biafra land has been given the signal to silence and kill IPOB members.
Let Amnesty International, International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the United Nations be aware of the continuous terror attacks been perpetrated against Biafrans who have been exercising their right to self-determination peacefully even with the recent online petition going on the platform of http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/a-call-to-boycott-buhari.fb48?source=s.icn.fb&r_by=14335651 The Nigeria and foreign medias should not pretend they are not aware of these crimes against Biafrans. This is an act of provocation against Indigenous People of Biafra and may not be tolerated for too long. The killing of IPOB members in Onitsha on 30th August 2015 by a combine team of Nigeria Navy and Police is still fresh in our minds and will never be forgotten.

Breaking!!! Pope Francis Pronounced "Biafra" and Addressed Protesters (Video)

 This is a major breakthrough for Biafrans all over the world and many are happy with this since it is a very peaceful and wise way of demanding for freedom. The IPOB Italy zone has gathered in mass  for a peaceful protest in St Peters square in front of Pope Frances.

This is happening even as Biafrans all over the world where given direct phone number of Pope Frances’ Secretary and all those around Vatican City who work with the pope. After thousands of calls their voices where heard and for the first time in history a major world leader Pope Frances Pronounced BIAFRA and addressed the Biafran Protesters. and guess what? he didn't ask them to stop agitating but rather promised to do what he can. He also asked Biafrans to be prayerful about it.

Biafrans have protested in front of most Countries of the world but we have not reported a president addressing them and promising to help. other world leaders has supported Biafra one way or the other but have not come out to completely express support or address the protesters.
The Catholic Church being the mother church and the Pope being the head of the church here on earth in his wisdom gave the Biafran agitation a boost. This is to be recorded as one of their biggest breakthroughs for IPOB.

Biafrans have vowed to continue to protest peacefully any where possible and anywhere necessary until people and world leader follow the good example of Pope Francis to open up their lips to acknowledge Biafra.
                                  
 It will be recalled that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was abducted by the Nigeria Government since 14th Oct. 2015. He has been discharged and acquitted by various courts of competent jurisdiction, but the tyrant dictator in Nigeria Mohammadu Buhari refused to let him go. And ever since then, the people of Biafra have been protesting peacefully across Biafra land and in the diaspora, just as the Italian Biafrans did today at the St Peer's Basilica, in Rome. But instead of Buhari to address the issue of Biafra diplomatically, he deployed the entire Nigerian armed forces to Biafra land with the instruction to kill Biafrans wherever they are seen.This command has led to the death of over a thousand Biafrans. So we are asking, How long will the world leader be quiet?

NIGERIA JUDICIARY SHOULD REFUND NNAMDI KANU'S FULFILLED BAIL CHARGES

It is indeed fraudulent that the Judiciary of Nigeria will accept the bail terms of a defendant, whilst he is still in their custody. It is image staining to the Nigeria judiciary that it has allowed self appointed Judge Buhari to drag the Nigeria Judiciary into the mud that can never be washed off. The Leader Of The Indigenous People Of Biafra and Director Of Radio Biafra/Biafra Television, was unlawfully detained by the Nigeria Government on the 14 of October 2015 and was charged for treason and then possession of dual passport. According to the Nigeria Constitution you don't keep an individual in custody for over 90days and based on the rulings of Justice Ahmed Mohammed, he granted Citizen Mazi Nnamdi Kanu bail and asked that he should be released by the Nigeria Department of State Security, once his bail terms are fulfilled.

Over 4 recorded deaths of Biafrans rejoicing over the bail granting of Citizen Nnamdi Kanu was done. The bail terms was fulfilled, while the Indigenous People of Biafra awaits his return, DSS went against Court orders at the order of Mohammadu Buhari and refused to provide him in Court, and until Biafrans unabatedly demanded that he should be arraigned in Court.  Nigeria Judiciary never stood their grounds, but accepted the bail terms and shared amongst themselves, while Citizen Nnamdi Kanu is still unlawfully detained. Ahmed Mohammed previously in charge of the case, washed his hands of the case and dropped out of the case, following Citizen Nnamdi Kanu's objections to the unfair trial and he was cited to state that "It is needless that, I will be tried in a Court where the ruling is been repeatedly disobeyed and by a Judge who won't rightfully make standard rulings". Tyrant Mohammadu Buhari appointed another puppet Judge Justice Tsoho, who made rulings based on Buhari's public verdict against Citizen Nnamdi Kanu through the Presidential media chart when he stated that "The defendant Nnamdi Kanu will not be granted bail, due to his possession of dual passport".

It is totally against the Law that you accept the fulfilled bail terms of a defendant, without granting him bail. The Nigeria Judiciary should provide the bail terms worth millions of Naira, given to them. It is thievery and corruption of the highest order that Nigeria Judiciary, have embezzled the fulfilled bail terms, while he still remain in detention. I am calling on the International Criminal Court, to come and probe Nigeria Judiciary over this fraudulent act of stealing from defendants by tricks .On the 9 of February the counsel to Citizen Nnamdi Kanu SAN Chucks Mmuoma demaned that Justice Tsoho should order DSS,to return the personal belongings of his clients in their custody, which includes Two Thousand Dollars($2000) cars and other personal belongings which is not registered with the court.

The Nigeria Judiciary did not only fraudulently seize the defendants bail terms, but denied him his cloths. There is no excuse whatsoever that the Nigeria Judiciary will present as to why they haven't returned those fulfilled bail terms. Nowhere in the World have any defendant been granted bail and wasn't released after fulfilling bail terms. If you want to keep Citizen Nnamdi Kanu unlawfully in your custody, then give him what rightfully belong to him and return his fulfilled bail charges. This fraudulent act exhibited by Nigeria Judiciary against Citizen Nnamdi Kanu, must be probed by the International Criminal Court, because it is a total criminal act against human right.
