Oraifite Mayhem: Detailed Background
&
Twenty-Four Unresolved Questions
That Arose From Police ‘Cut-&-Join’

Onitsha, Eastern Nigeria: 4th Dec 2019-The
leadership of Int’l Society for Civil Liberties & Rule of Law-INTERSOCIETY
has in the past 48hrs been bombarded with calls, text messages and emails by
well meaning and deeply concerned citizens of Nigeria and nationals of other
countries. The call bombardment was to ascertain the true situation of things
concerning the Monday afternoon, early and late evening mayhem in the ancestral
home of Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor (Onowu) in Umunakwa, Ifite-Orafite, Ekwusigo Local
Council of Anambra State in old Eastern Nigeria.
The bombarded calls came when Intersociety
leadership was still battling to tidy up its recent advocacy against threats of
extinction facing Igbo-Southeast senior police officers and possible others.
The detailed advocacy projected, started since past two weeks, was finally
tidied up and transformed into three letters sent to PSC, NPF, NAF and NCS.
Below are the detailed background of the dastardly act and twenty-four
questions arising from the Nigeria Police “cut-and-join” account. This
statement is signed by Uju Joy Igboeli, Chinwe Umeche, Esq., Esq., Ndidiamaka
Bernard, Esq., Samuel Kamanyaoku (Comrade) and Emeka Umeagbalasi (a
Criminologist & Security Studies Graduate); all principal officers of
Intersociety.
Right Of Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor As A Legal
Practitioner In Nigeria
Recall that Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor is a
Nigerian practicing lawyer of 15 years standing. He was called to Bar in 2004.
Under the Nigerian legal practice and legal system, every licensed legal
practitioner including Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor can practice law anywhere in the
country; and under ‘human rights legal practice’ in the country, any licensed
legal practitioner including Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor can defend any citizen
falsely or legitimately accused of breaking criminal law of the country or any
part thereof.
This is irrespective of the gravity of the
accused crime(s) or whether his client(s) is falsely or validly accused of
“acts of terrorism and terrorism financing”. In doing so, such lawyer, by
practice and profession, is shielded from being accused or made a party to the
crime. It must also be pointed out here that the Nigerian Bar Association; not
the Nigeria Police Force or the Army, is tasked with sole mandate of regulating
the conducts of licensed practicing lawyers in Nigeria
Specifically, the NBA’s Legal Practitioners
Disciplinary Committee is charged with the responsibility of disrobing or
suspending or fining a lawyer who is found, after proper investigation, to have
engaged in unprofessional or unethical practices. In Nigeria, too, crimes are defined and
categorized by penalties and generally categorized into: (a) felonies which
carry capital punishment as maximum and three years as minimum; (b)
misdemeanors which carry three years imprisonment as maximum and one year as
minimum; and (c) simple offences which carry six months as maximum.
Detailed Background Of The Oraifite Police
& Military Mayhem
Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor is bereaved and mourning
till date; having lost his beloved elder step brother, late Rev. Louis
Chukwukpelum Ejiofor. The Barr had relocated to Oraifite from his Abuja base
since 24thNov 2019 and on Tuesday, 26th, a night vigil was organized for his
late brother. On Wednesday, 27th, his brother’s body committed to mother earth,
followed by condolence visits till Sunday, 1st Dec when the family had a
thanksgiving church service, after which the condolences continued till date.
The condolences attracted present and past public office holders, senior
lawyers; human rights leaders, pro Biafra and other regional activists,
captains of industry and numerous others.
For purpose of ensuring security during the
funeral, the Ejiofor Family secured the services of both conventional (police)
and ‘unconventional (vigilante and unarmed private guards, popularly called
“bouncers”). Under Nigeria’s Private Guards Act of 1986 (now Private Guards Act
of 2004), any Nigerian citizen can seek and retain the services of such guards.
Also by the Firearms Act of 2004, any Nigerian citizen can validly or by
license, operate or seek, for purpose of personal security, the services of bearer(s)
of ‘un-prohibited firearms’, provided their firearms fall under Pump Action or
Double Barreled guns and not “prohibited firearms” such as assault or military
rifles.
Apart from being the lawyer of the unarmed
Indigenous People of Biafra, controversially proscribed by the Buhari and
Osinbajo led Federal Government of Nigeria, Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor is also,
professionally speaking, the legal adviser of ‘Otu-Eke Cultural Masquerade
Group’ in his Oraifite hometown. Some time ago, the Masquerade group had issues
among its members, leading to a split and formation of a rival “Otu-Afor
Masquerade group”. The two rival masquerade groups derived their names from ‘igbo’s
Eke and Afor market days’.
o forestall the repeat of what ignited the
earlier dispute (i.e. unethical and violent conducts during ceremonial
activities), Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor in his capacity as the former’s legal adviser
was hired to trade-mark the group’s masquerade regalia at the Fed Ministry of
Trade & Investment, so as to differentiate the ‘Otu-Eke Masquerade’ from
their rival ‘Otu-Afor’. The said regalia were later trade-marked at the said
Ministry. Since then the relationship between the two has remained cat-and-dog,
with some troublesome rich men in the Community said to be fueling the crisis.
On Saturday, 29th Nov, there was a funeral
outing in the town where the deceased was said to have belonged to the two
factions of the Masquerade. The two factions were invited by the deceased
family. Somewhere, a misunderstanding broke out leading to scuffles or
fisticuffs; forcing ‘the Otu-Eke faction to leave the funeral venue in protest.
In the process, a member of the ‘Otu-Eke Masquerade was attacked and taken to
undisclosed location; angered by same, members of the group regrouped, stormed
the venue of the funeral and scattered tents, chairs, foods and drinks
mobilized for same. In the end, each faction had a member apiece attacked and
taken to their respective chambers or hideout.
Not done, the factional ‘Otu-Afor Masquerade
group’ lodged a complaint of ‘abduction’, ‘malicious damage to property’ and
‘assault-occasioning harm’ at the Oraifite Area Command/Divisional Police
Station. Among those named as culprits by the ‘Otu-Afor faction’, Barr Ifeanyi
Ejiofor was included and roped in as a culprit. As early as 6am on Monday, 2nd
Dec, the Oraifite Area Commander and his DPO, with 16 other armed police
personnel had stormed Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s ancestral home and demanded to see
him.
The lawyer’s elder brother was handy but the
Lawyer was not around. As a matter of fact, Barr Ejiofor specifically left his
house earlier for his Nnewi office for the day’s court session, but was put on
phone by his elder brother to speak with the Area Commander, who spoke to him
and claimed that ‘they were looking for one “Udene” being harbored as a
bouncer-security’ and that he is wanted for offenses elsewhere. An agreement
was reached and assurance given to the effect that Barr would come and see them
before 11am same morning and sort out the issue including releasing the said
wanted “Udene” to the Area Commander and his DPO.
Sadly, before the agreed time could come to
pass, truck-loads of armed police personnel said to be led by the Oraifite Area
Commander, ACP Oliver Abbey and the Ichi SARS Unit Commander, ASP Joseph Akubo,
had violently stormed the ancestral home of the Ejiofors and forcefully broke
into same. The police narrative was instantly changed from “looking for one
“Udene” to “looking for one Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor for case of abduction,
malicious damage to property and assault occasioning harm”.
On being told that the Barr was not yet back,
the armed police personnel fumed and opened fire, shooting in different
directions and at close range too. The Barr Ejiofor’s family compound was
turned into a war zone. Targeting scores of co-mourners and bouncer-security
guards left behind, numbering not more than twenty in all including house
errand boys; bullets rained in different directions, with many scampering for
safety including the widow of Barr Ejiofor’s late elder brother, who is still
mourning. As if that was not enough, too, the riotous and culpable armed police
personnel grabbed one of the unarmed bouncer-security guards and smashed his
fore head with thick plank, forcing him to slump and die instantly.
The resort to lynching followed local bullet
resistance charms used or worn by the unarmed bouncer-security guards when they
were severally shot at. In the end, two bouncer-security guards and two
‘common’ others were killed on the spot, with others sustaining gunshot
injuries. The two slain bouncer-security guards were rescued by their
colleagues and hidden while two others were made away with by the police.
Photos of the two slain citizens are attached below.
The controversially reported killing by
“Ejiofor’s men” of “two senior police officers” inside the Barr’s family
compound has remained independently un-authenticated; likewise reports of
killing of more defenseless citizens when soldiers invaded the Family houses
and set the six houses and properties ablaze. The Nigeria Police, Anambra State
Command must proof that the duo died and got killed in the Barrister’s place by
his loyalists or by himself. We have further checked the profile of the ACP
which the Police said was “killed in Barr Ejiofor’s house by his loyalists or
himself”. He is known to NPF as “Oliver Inoma-Abbey, with appointment number
AP36037 (number 167 in the NPF list of ACPs), born in Bonny, Rivers State on
15thJuly 1963, joined NPF on 1st July 1986, promoted to ACP on 21stNov 2016,
retires on 1stJuly 2021, held HND in Estate Management and appointed Area
Commander, Oraifite Area Command on Dec 11, 2017”.
Police ‘Cut-and-Join’ Account
The Anambra State Police had in later part of
same Monday, 2nd Dec, issued a ‘cut-and-join’ statement, riddled with
controversies and unanswered questions. The Command controversially said as
follows: “on 2nd Dec 2019, at about 11.30am, there was a formal complaint
against one Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor ‘m’ (a member of the proscribed IPOB) in
Oraifite on alleged case of abduction, assault occasioning harm and malicious
damage to property. Following the report, the Police patrol teams led by the
Area Commander of Oraifite, ACP Oliver Abbey mobilized and rushed to the scene
in order to arrest the suspect who declined Police invitation”. Recall that the
same Area Commander and his DPO were in the same house of Barr Ejiofor before
6am of the said date.
The Anambra Police ‘cut-and-join’ account
continued: “however, as soon as Police arrived the house, armed men suspected
to be IPOB members descended on the Police, set ablaze one Patrol vehicle and
attacked them with rifles and machetes. As a result of the attack, two police
officers whose identities are being withheld were killed bysuspected IPOB
members while others were inflicted with machete cuts…”.
“Consequently, the Command deployed
reinforcements from the State Headquarters comprising of PMF, SARS and Special
Anti Cult units in conjunction with the Arm y/other sister agencies who
cordoned off the area to fish out the culprits…”. The Police later issued
another statement and gave the names of two officers it said were killed as
“ACP Oliver Abbey” and “ASP Joseph Akubo”. The Command further issued arrest
warrant against the chief victim and maintained criminal silence over the havoc
it wrecked with soldiers in the Family of the Lawyer, his siblings and
neighbors.
Burning Of Six Modern Houses & Other
Atrocities: Moments after the Anambra CP’s ordered reinforcements arrived the
said family houses, soldiers of 302 Artillery Regiment Onitsha and Police SARS
and Anti Cult, joined by PMF personnel and others went on rampage and burnt to
ashes not less than (a) ten ‘provision’ stores located close to the Family
House. The burnt stores were stocked with goods valued at millions of naira.
Other properties burnt down were (b) six
modern buildings located within the premises of the Family Home including
house-hold properties and a storey building/house of late Reverend Louis
Ejiofor and his widow, (c) a car and a motorcycle parked in the premises, (d)
all livestock in the Family House including goats, dogs and fowls and (e) house
of a neighbor who supplied music and entertainment during the funeral. Apart
from rendering the mourning widow of the deceased and the aged mother of Barr Ejiofor
and other members of his nuclear and extended family homeless, the total burnt
properties are conservatively valued at over N100m. The owners of the ten burnt
stores were also made destitute over night.
Suspicious Burning Of A Police Vehicle &
Two Unknown Corpses: While the Anambra State Police Command claimed that “a
Police Patrol vehicle was burnt together with two officers beyond recognition
at Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s house”, findings showed that the said vehicle and two
yet-to-be independently identified corpses were suspiciously set ablaze along
“Nkwo-Oraifite to Nkwo-Nnewi (Nkwo-Nkwo) Road”; a far distance from Barr
Ejiofor’s ancestral House.
24 Questions For Anambra State Police
Command, IGP & COAS
When has it become a crime for a lawyer to
defend his or her client(s) in Nigeria no matter the offense gravity?
Is there any law in Nigeria that makes a
practicing lawyer a party (or a criminal) to an offence accused of committed by
his or her client(s)? When have the Nigeria Police Force including Anambra
State Police Command and the Nigerian Army become the NBA and its Legal
Practitioners Disciplinary Committee and taken over their functions? Assuming,
but not conceding to the fact that “IPOB is a terrorist organization”, when
have it become the operational and law enforcement norms of the Police and the
Army for a defense counsel of a “terror” suspect to be roped or violently
treated as “a terrorist”? How many lawyers defending Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists
or Herdsmen jihadists in the Northeast or North-central have had their houses
and properties burnt to ashes by security forces anywhere in Others: Assuming
but not conceding to the fact that the said two police officers were “killed
and in Barr Ejiofor’s house and by his loyalists or himself”, when has it
become a police or military operational or law enforcement guide or ethic for
service personnel that died in the line of duty to be retaliated by wrecking
havoc such as burning down houses and other properties or shooting and killing
at will? Are personnel of the Nigeria Police Force and the Military now created
and catered for with tax payers’ resources to be saved from dying in the line
of duty? Are they created to defend and cater for themselves or for purpose of
securing vulnerable and defenseless general and individual citizens of the
country? When has arresting a suspect of offences of “affray-abduction”,
“assault occasioning harm” and “malicious damage to property”; turned into
mindless burning of properties, shootings and killings?
In the instant case, was the Nigeria Police
hired to kill and destroy or invited to investigate and prosecute the three
named lenient offences? What was the Oraifite Area Commander and his DPO doing
in the Family House of Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor as early as 6am on Monday, 2nd Dec
2019, only to turn-coat and claimed that they
“received a formal complaint at about 11.30am”? Was the said two police
officers truly killed? Were they truly killed in Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s house
and “by his loyalists or himself”? If truly killed, who killed them and where,
when and how were they killed and where are their corpses? Where are corpses of
the two defenseless citizens (‘Mission’ and Mathew) shot and killed by the
Police in Barr Ejiofor’s house? How come the “two senior police officers were
said to have been killed in the Barr’s house and by his loyalists or himself,
with a Police Patrol vehicle burnt”; yet the same vehicle and unknown two
corpses were found burnt along “Nkwo-Nkwo Road”, far away from the Lawyer’s
house?
The Rest: Was it a foul play or cover up
attempt? Is it correct to allege that the vehicle was burnt by the culprit
police personnel so as to maliciously rope in the chief victim? Is it also not
correct to allege that the two corpses burnt beyond recognition were the same
two slain bodies of innocent citizens shot, killed and taken away by the
culprit police personnel from the Lawyer’s house? Is it not correct to allege
that the mayhem in Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s house was the handiwork of service
agents of the Federal Government in furtherance of their hate policy against
the Igbo Ethnic Nationality? Is it not correct to say that what started as mere
intra communal misunderstanding was hijacked, fueled and escalated by the
referenced so as to rope in the innocent Lawyer with spurious capital offense
accusations?
Why is the Anambra State Police Command
shielding itself or keeping criminal mute over the mayhem its personnel and
soldiers perpetrated including burning of six modern houses and other tens of
millions of naira worth of properties as well as killing, maiming and
traumatizing defenseless citizens including the mourning mother and the widow
of the deceased? Where has the conscience of Police and Military personnel in Nigeria
including the referenced culprit service personnel gone, to the extent they no
longer value and respect the dead? Are they not going to die someday and expect
to be given befitting burials and funerals?

Nigerian Police Came to Kill me for Defending
Nnamdi Kanu
and IPOB Members – Bar. Ifeanyi Ejiofor
(transcript)
Good afternoon everybody! It is with deep sense
of grieve that I wish to address the world on the carnage that took place in my
house on Monday 2nd December 2019, at Ifite-Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government
Area of Anambra State.
Particularly, in regards to safety concerns,
I will be fine by my fans, friends, colleagues, well-wishers and members of the
Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who I am representing in all capacity. And
also to address the first narrative being penned by the Nigerian Police in
Anambra State on the incident of yesterday.
It has become compelling that I narrate to
the world what transpired in my house and how it all started. On Sunday, being
the 1st day of December 2019, at about 8-9pm, I was called by the Divisional
Police Officer (DPO) of Oraifite Police Station. He never passed any message to
me. Then in the morning of Monday 2nd December 2019, at about 6am, I got a call
from my elder brother, Evangelist Emeka Ejiofor, that the Nigerian police had
invaded my premises, led by the Area Commander himself. So I requested to speak
with the Area Commander and the request was obliged. The conversation was
fairly recorded. I requested to know why they were in my house because at the
time in question, I was not around.
So he said that they came for one of my wards
who participated in a local conflict and demanded to see me, but I told him
that I was out to somewhere and will be back by probably around 10:30 to11am.
And that when I come back, I will come to the station to see him and find out
what really transpired and why he was in my house. So he said ok that he will
grant me that request but he emphasized that time is of essence and I should
keep to it.
So I became worried because I had no issues
with anybody. I never stepped out of my house. I have been indoors, receiving
visitors and sympathizers from all works of life.
So when I came back around 10 O'clock in the
morning, I briefly had a discussion with my mother whom I told that I was going
to see the Area Commander to find out why they were in my house.
But on a second thought, I decided to go and
see my uncle who will accompany me in that movement. So I had already left my
house to my uncle's place where I would pick him. And that served as a saving
grace to the carnage and disaster because the target was me. So we were on our
way going to the Area Commander's office, taking Ama conventional road, when I
got a call from my younger brother that policemen where in my house and they
had opened fire on all living objects in my home including all persons in my
house.
So I was like: somebody came to my house at
about 6:00am, I had a discussion with him on issues I know nothing about and I
promised him as a lawyer well respected, that I was going to be in his office
at about 10:00am to11:00am. What then that was taking place in my house took me
by surprise.
Therefore, I decided to observe. So I
restricted myself from that movement and waited till I was further briefed on
what was going on.
Then as the carnage proceeded, my brother
kept on furnishing me with the developments. And after about two minutes of our
discussion, he told me that about four persons had been gunned down in my
premises and the entire household set ablaze by the police.
So I said, what happened? What is actually
going on? Because I was confused. Police came to my house, opened fire on
everybody in my house, set the house ablaze, set the houses of the neighbors
ablaze, what have I done to deserve this kind of treatment? So I decided to
take refuge within the neighborhood. And as the carnage continued, the report
kept on filtering in as to the atrocities they were committing in my house,
including raping people around the area.
So in the end, they took away the corpses
(dead bodies) of the people they killed in my house, put them in their own van
to a place called Nkwo-Oraifite market, along Onitsha/Owerri expressway and
burnt all of them in their vehicle and left. So that is all that transpired
that I know I can say at this stage.
However, going forward to when I read the
Anambra State Police Command's report on Monday 2nd December 2019, I was really
shocked.
Firstly, The Area Commander came to my house
at about 6:00am and I spoke with him on phone afterwards and promised him that
I was going to be in his office at about 10:00am or I will be there by 11:00am
at most. How come he said somebody lodged a complaint against me at about
11:30am?
Then assuming without conceding to the fact
that someone lodged a complaint against me in the case of abduction and all
those frivolous offenses, is that sufficient enough to warrant them using force
on the people they found in my premises? Firing at random, killing people there
and also burning houses?
I am a lawyer with addresses. I have two
chambers, one in Abuja and one at Anambra State and I practice. I am a very
serious legal practitioner. I go to court almost every day. So I am not going
to run away from the police.
However, it is important for me to emphasize
that Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor has been in more than ten years of unbroken
relationship with the police higher ranks. They can attest to that fact at
Abuja. They know me as a peaceful man and as a gentleman. I relate with them at
all capacity. I do not look for problem. And I am not an enemy of the police.
So why should they invade my house? Why should such a thing happen?
However, I was finally informed on
investigations that the person behind the carnage in my house is one
controversial businessman in Oraifite who has built library and schools in
Katsina. That he had an undertaking from the Fulani Caliphate that he is the
only one that will see to my killing, no matter any means he want to use. That
was their agreement.
Because if their intention for coming to my
house was to arrest me, they would not have done anything. They would barely or
at worst case scenario, left an invitation letter for me to come to the police
station. This is a person that has spoken with the Area Commander in the
morning before that ugly incident. They would have left an invitation for me to
come to their station. At worst case scenario, they have many ways of getting
at me even if I refused to report as asked. As much as I know, I cannot run
away from the police because I have committed no offence known to law. But the
simple reason is that they are actually interested in getting me out of the
way. They are actually interested in killing me because they have seen me as a
torn in their flesh because I am defending the members of the Indigenous People
of Biafra (IPOB), and Nnamdi Kanu. Because they saw that any place they arrested
any member of IPOB, I will be there to get them out. I have been in all courts
with them, in Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Enugu and all
other places.
I have been in court with them and I defeated
them in virtually all the cases I am doing against them. Because IPOB members
are merely exercising their rights as the Constitution provided and so the
organization is not a terrorist organization. This terrorist tag on them has
been effectively challenged in the court of appeal.
So I do not know where I have got it wrong.
Only few days ago, I was told that two members of IPOB were gunned down by the
Nigerian Police at Arondiziogu, which case I am preparing to go to before they
came to my house.
So I am calling on responsible International
Organisations, European Union, United Nations, United States of America, United
Kingdom and also Amnesty International, to get involved and investigate the
carnage in my house because as I speak to you now, I am homeless. They have
burnt down virtually everything.
Furthermore, it is important to clarify that
many people were killed in that process. Now I learnt that many people that
were running into the houses were burnt down along. So until when an access is
given to people who will investigate what transpired in my house, then we can
be able to determine the number of people that were actually killed. Because I
can assure you that twenty to thirty people have been murdered in my house on
the account of this incident. And my mum also was gunned down. She sustained
bullet injuries, though she is receiving treatment.
So I do not know the offences I have
committed for becoming a lawyer of IPOB. I do not know where I got it wrong.
This is a person that has been at home since Sunday 27th of November 2019 till
Sunday 1st of December 2019, when we went for the afternoon service.
I am calling on the Nigerian Bar Association
(NBA), to also intervene. I have already made a contact with the NBA Chairman,
Abuja branch, to also take it up because my name is at stake as I speak to you,
because their intention is to kill me. Nothing More. So I want this matter to
be steadily investigated.
Furthermore, it is important to pass this
information to the whole world, that if my house will be attacked and people
gunned down in this manner by the Nigerian Police in conjunction with the
Military, it shows that there is nobody in the South-East region of Nigeria
that is safe from the hands of the security agencies.
It is also important to emphasize that NO
POLICE MAN'S CORPSE WAS FOUND IN MY PREMISES. I am supposed to say that because
even their vehicle was not found in front of my premises. NO POLICE WAS KILLED.
They took the corpses of the people they killed in my house to Onitsha/Owerri
expressway, burnt them and also burnt the vehicle.
I am very familiar with the workings of the
system by virtue of my relationship with the police.
Thank you very much!
EXPOSING THE EVIL ACTIVITIES
AND CRIMES OF
THE NIGERIAN POLICE
IN BIAFRA LAND
In developed countries; the police is a civil
service work, and an agency of the executive arm of government that maintains
and enforces law and order in the society. But in Nigeria, it is a
militarilized force, that carries gun, the same way the military go about with
it, as if we are at war in Nigeria. They are expected to enforce law and order,
and equally play a vital role in ensuring peaceful coexistence among the
citizens.
The Nigerian police, though a necessary evil,
has lost the confidence of several Nigerians because of poor attitude to work,
unethical conduct and ominous disregard for fundamental human rights that they
commit everyday on a broad day light. About 98% of the members of the Nigerian
Police Force never had interest in the job at the time of recruitment but they
just applied because they needed job to earn a living. Few of them are
frustrated Nigerian graduates, while greater percentage are uneducated
Hausa/Fulanis, even repented Boko Haram recruits.
But, countless ordinary Nigerian graduates
who after school have nothing to do, attempting to make precarious livelihood,
end up as taxi drivers, market traders and shopkeepers are accosted on daily
basis by marauding armed police officers who demand bribes and commit human
rights abuses against them through money extortion. Those who fail to pay are
frequently threatened with arrest and physical harm. The case of Chimaobi, a
young Biafran from Abia State who was killed by the Nigerian military
personnel, because he refused to give him ₦100.00,
is still fresh in our mind. Meanwhile, victims of crime are forced to pay the
police from the moment they enter a police station to file a complaint until
the day their case is brought before a kangaroo biased court. In this shadows,
high-level police officials embezzle staggering sum of public funds meant to
cover basic police operations. Senior police officers also enforce per
Nigeria Police ‘Cut-and-Join’
Account Of What Happened
At Orifite Anambra
The Anambra State Police had in later part of
same Monday, 2nd Dec, issued a ‘cut-and-join’ statement, riddled with
controversies and unanswered questions.
The Command controversially said as follows:
“on 2nd Dec 2019, at about 11.30am, there was a formal complaint against one
Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor ‘m’ (a member of the proscribed IPOB) in Oraifite on
alleged case of abduction, assault occasioning harm and malicious damage to
property. Following the report, the Police patrol teams led by the Area
Commander of Oraifite, ACP Oliver Abbey mobilized and rushed to the scene in
order to arrest the suspect who declined Police invitation”.
As a result of the attack, two police
officers whose identities are being withheld were killed by suspected IPOB
members while others were inflicted with machete cuts…”.
The Command further issued arrest warrant
against the chief victim and maintained criminal silence over the havoc it
wrecked with soldiers in the Family of the Lawyer, his siblings and neighbors.
Apart
from rendering the mourning widow of the deceased and the aged mother of Barr
Ejiofor and other members of his nuclear and extended family homeless, the
total burnt properties are conservatively valued at over N100m. The owners of
the ten burnt stores were also made destitute over night.

I THINK IS HIGH TIME
TO PREVENT
WHAT IS MAIN
TO BE PREVENTABLE.
Lying down on the sick bed and
trying to recover from the bullets wounds being shot at me and my fellow
IPOBIANS by the Nigerian POLICE and ARMY at Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor's
compound. Even though, we received an intelligence report from our special team
on what's about to happen.
We knew that the Nigerian JOINT
security JIHADISTS forces (police and Army) were coming for us.
However, what we didn't know,
is that, they will open fire on us with live bullets and were READY to kill
innocent people and every living thing in that compound. We only thought! The
worse they can do, is to tear gas us if worse comes to worst.
However, that wasn't the case!
They came to assassinate
Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor and to kill every living thing in that compound.
With this emotion of theirs!
They ended up in killing many Biafrans on the PROCESS and the compound and
houses were set ablaze.
This is similar to what we saw
in Ngwa high school Aba, in Igweocha, Operation Python 2 Isi Ama Afara Ukwu
Ibeku and Nkpo etc.
Yet I am a humble servant to
IPOB and I will remain humble until the commander in chief (Mazi Nnamdi Kanu)
orders me and other hardcores on what to do next.
But one thing is certain! They
will be consequences to these atrocities being committed against us and against
humanity.
And finally, I think it's high
time to prevent these intimations.
May the SOULS of my fellow
comrades that fell on the PROCESS rest in peace.
May their souls rest in peace.
For those of you who love
reggae music, I want to quote some extracts from one of worlds' greatest reggae
Singer, Composer and Vocalist, JUSTINE HINES, in his famous track,
"
JUDGEMENT A COME"
from the Album, "MADNESS"
And I quote
".... Judgement a come,
when you gonna run.... In your working, whatever you may do, you should
remember, that there is the FATHER, yes you must, no, you don't remember HIM at
all, no you don't..."
Yes the above is some of the
lyrics from JUSTINE HINES in his track, JUDGEMENT A COME from the Album,
MADNESS
Since 4am this morning, I have
been playing this song for GOVERNOR WILLIE OBIANO of ANAMBRA State in his ill
advice and command to the Anambra state Police Command, as the Chief Security
Officer of the State to go and invade, maim and kill IPOB members who attended
the burial of Barr. Ejiofor's younger, who was buried over the week.
In this invasion commanded by
Gov. Obiano, the lives of two senior Police Officers were lost, four (official)
IPOB members were also lost, tens and hundreds of others, including the widow
and children of the deceased were badly wounded, property worth more than N1b
were destroyed, including two houses belonging to Barr Ejiofor and several
other houses belonging to neighbors of Ejoifor.
As at today, the whereabouts of
Barr. Ejiofor, (Nnamdi Kanu's) Lawyer has not been known
In case you don't know, the
only offence committed by the slain IPOB members and those wounded, including
the ones in detention is simply because they were WAVING BIAFRAN FLAGS at the
burial ceremony
In case you don't know, the
only offence committed by the NEIGHBORS of Barr. Ejiofor, who were WOUNDED,
ARRESTED and had their HOUSES razed down was simply because they were neighbors
to Barr. Ejiofor
In case you don't know, the
only offence committed by the Two senior Police Officers, including an AC, was
simply because they were Police Officers
Whatever prompted Gov Obiano to
have given that order to the Police to invade Barr Ejiofors house, as widely reported,
was nothing but MADNESS
Gov Obiano must know that
there's the FATHER whose power is BIGGER than all the GUNS of the world put
together
Gov Obiano must know that a
JUDGEMENT DAY must surely come
Gov Obiano must know that KARMA
KNOWS EVERYBODY'S ADDRESS and must surely visit when the time comes.
My condolences to the families
of all those who lost their lives at the Oraifitte ugly but AVOIDABLE incident,
including the Police Officers,
Biafra: In A Bid To Forestall
Further
Legal Embarrassments Led To
The
Foiled Assassination Attempt
On Barr. Ejiofor's Life
By Nwawube Ezeobi | The Biafra
Post
December 05, 2019
In a bid by the Federal
Government of Nigeria to forestall further legal embarrassment led to the
foiled assassination attempt on the life of IPOB legal counsel. Two days ago,
before our very watchful eyes we saw history repeating itself this time in a more
disturbing manner and level.
On the bright morning of 14th
September 2017, the Nigerian Military junta led by an imposter Jubril Aminu Al Sudani of Sudan invaded the Abia State
country home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra - Mazi Nnamdi
Kanu in a bid to exterminate his life.
Till date, families including
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's are wailing in anguish as they mourn their beloved lost ones
in that attack.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was due to
appear before the honorable court room of Judge Binta Nyako in his about to
start trial only weeks away but was defeatedly stopped by the inordinate
behavior of the Nigerian State; calculatively the Nigerian government decided
to have him dead than allow him appear in court to testify against Nigeria. The
Nigeria government were already jittery as to the impending revelations that
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was about to make to the world through their own court.
Impostor Jubril Aminu Al-Sudani
and Aso-Rock cabals were already fixated and weak hearted to stand further
legal disgrace and testimonies by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for what he had in stock
hence the call for his life through the invasion of his home by the combined
armed forces of Nigeria, just two days ago, the same Nigerian Military forces
invaded Oraifite, the country home of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer, Barr. Ifeanyi
Ejiofor.
Just as an established
precedent and part of their routine job to subvert at will and instill fear in
those standing tall by the Indigenous People of Biafra request for a
referendum, they went about killing innocent youths and burning houses all in a
bid to kill Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor from representing IPOB in all capacity of the
law.
The chemistry is very simple,
they had tried exterminating Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's life by forcefully invaded his
home but to no avail, now they thought it wise as a timid government without
sound thinking that "if they exterminate Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor's life
that IPOB will die a natural death as other lawyers will be afraid to stand for
IPOB and her leadership".
Aso-Rock thought it wise maybe
if they murder Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Abuja will be relieved of the legal
embarrassments that awaits them in her own Nigerian court using Nigerian
constitution. What a bizarre temerity!
Upon the failure of the
assassination attempt, the shameless Nigerian government switched to their
laughable plan B of cut and join allegation.
If the assassination attempt on Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor fail, we - the
Nigerian security operatives will murder any youth we see in his compound or
around that may try to defend Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, this they did by burning
two innocent Oraifite youths that came to grieve with Barr. Ejiofor and the
bereaved family; this evil act was carried by the police that took away two
persons shot-dead at Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor's compound while the other two
bodies were taken away from their hold.
The ruthless Nigerian Police
set these two bodies on fire inside their Police patrol vehicle then turned
around to accuse Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor of instigating Oraifite youths to kill
two Police officers, to them we have succeeded in stopping him from appearing
in court and be on the run for his life.
What the Nigerian government
fail to appreciate is the fact that the Biafra question has gone far beyond the
Nigerian government court room session because of the world it is more or less
kangaroo in nature.
Biafra cannot be stopped now by
mere framing up of our legal body. Tyrants all over the globe in one time or
the other have done more stinking dirty works than this but then one would ask
"Did the machinations of the slave masters stopped any determined people
from being free in history?.
Biafra shall stand tall and
appear victorious at the end of all travails and never shall Biafra be
intimidated to succumb to pressure by the unlearned Nigerian government and her
crude, unreasonable security operatives.
