Bill Gate Has Seen The Somalia Situation In Nigeria
BILL GATE HAS SEEN
THE SOMALIA SITUATION
IN NIGERIA
Authored by Chima Onyekachi
When Bill Gate decided to honor the invitation for the wedding ceremony of his Fulani business associate Aliko Dangote, I was excitedly concerned because it is a case of Forbes’ second richest person in the world being hosted by the richest person in Africa. I bet on his way to Nigeria, Bill Gate had it in mind to see first hand the benefits of his hard-earned cash of $1.6billion(over 500 billion Naira) which his “Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation” has invested in the country’s health sector. He must have wondered why Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari keeps travelling abroad for medical checkup and treatment.
His arrival in Nigeria confirmed his fears that his philanthropic investment for the well being of Nigerians is in shambles and the populace cannot afford to travel abroad for treatment hence they tend to die like flies. I felt the pain of Bill Gate during the wedding reception as he sat in between former governor of CBN turned Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido and Aliko Dangote alongside the country’s Vice President Osibanjo. He must have during the reception spotted and had pleasantries with other top power brokers like governors, ministers ambassadors and a host of others.
Bill Gate would have watched with amazement the show of razzmatazz and wealth displayed during the wedding party while at the same time shocked that the worst place to give birth in the world is Nigeria. He must have feigned excitement throughout the occasion and finally decided he has to speak to the President.
He was quickly invited to be part of a special meeting of the National Economic Council which included the President,Vice President, Finance Minister and the top of the cream of his administration.
Muhammadu Buhari and his cohorts were expecting high praises from Bill Gate when he was about to address them but were left dumbfounded when he brushed off sychophancy and spoke the truth. He looked at their faces and told them that the government’s economic plans are useless and do not address the needs of Nigerians because there are no investments on their citizens. He wondered how a country without good ports, roads and factories will be able to develop?
He didn’t forget to remind them that Nigeria is one of the most dangerous places in the world to give birth with the fourth worst maternal mortality rate in the world ahead of only Sierra Leone, Central African Republic and Chad.
Apparently frustrated by the exposure by the philanthropist, the Nigerian government and his party, APC, went on to facilitate a fake award claiming it was given by the Martin Luther King Jr. Foundation.
The King Centre had through their official twitter account denied awarding Muhammadu Buhari.
Bill Gate after leaving Nigeria still went on an international media platform, CNN, to defend his criticism of the Nigeria government. He was very much concerned that one in three children in Nigeria are malnourished.
The fact is that Bill Gate hasn’t said anything new that the sane minds in Nigeria haven’t spoken about. It is obvious that the investors in Nigeria have lost hope and are frustrated by the non charlant attitude of the Buhari administration whose sole aim is promoting the Jihadist agenda of the Fulani Caliphate.
As the economy of Nigeria continues to fall and the killings by the marauding Fulani herdsmen against defenseless citizens rise unabatedly, the contraption of Fredrick Lugard is already like the Somalia situation. The only thing lacking is the defenseless people have not been able to defend themselves from murder.
