Biafra Urgent Press Release

[URGENT] IPOB Press Statement
Impending Operation Python Dance III: Another License for Fulani Muslims to Murder Biafrans
Dateline London | 18 August 2018
Following a recent statement made by the Fulani Islamic dominated Nigerian Army led by Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai regarding the impending commencement of another murderous season of Operation Python Dance across Biafraland, we the family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and it's leadership worldwide wish to alert the public that Nnia Nwodo led Ohanaeze Ndigbo/South East governors sponsored Islamic massacre of innocent Biafrans is once again in the pipeline. Let no one be deceived as to the real motives of the so-called Igbo leaders and Abuja based politicians, behind this latest round of impending slaughter of Biafrans.
The bitter truth is that South-East governors, Lagos-Abuja based Igbo politicians who are dependent on the political patronage of their Fulani godfathers, with the active connivance of Ohaneze Ndigbo, are the people behind every Operation Python Dance that ever took place. These Igbo politicians see the periodic military massacre of their own people as a necessary sacrifice that must be made to ease their Fulani masters and ensure their political survival, electoral victory and relevance because they know in Nigeria true power belongs to the Fulani caliphate.
To Nnia Nwodo’s Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East governors, especially Dave Umahi, Okezie Ikpeazu and Willie Obiano, the best way an Igbo politician can demonstrate his one Nigeria credentials is to actively participate or facilitate the wholesale slaughter of his own people. Should Buratai's Islamic soldiers march on the streets of Biafraland anytime in 2018 and beyond, Biafrans must hold Gov. Dave Umahi, Okezie Ikpeazu, Willie Obiano and Nnia Nwodo led Ohaneze Ndigbo responsible.
More unarmed, peaceful IPOB family members has been killed in the past year than all Boko Haram terrorists and genocidal Fulani herdsmen put together. When Fulani herdsmen attacked and killed unarmed villagers in Nimbo Enugu State, no Igbo governor or Ohaneze Ndigbo asked for Operation Python Dance to defend the people. In fact they became dumb. It is common knowledge that Aso Rock refused to take the calls of Gov. Ugwuanyi. Commander of 82 Division Enugu and various leaders of state security agencies that litter couldn't be reached until the Fulani killers left.
When it comes to the killing of peaceful IPOB family members, phone calls from Igbo governors and Nnia Nwodo are promptly answered and soldiers deployed immediately. Isn't it ironic that Igbo governors, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Fulani officers and soldiers that make up the bulk of the Nigerian Army, have chosen to ignore the murderous tendencies of Islamic extremism perpetrated by their own kith and kin in Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen but have instead turned their rage and guns on unarmed IPOB fighting for their God given right to self determination?
To make matters worse, the newly announced Operation Python Dance for the ember months of 2018 is coming on the heels of the discovery of yet more dead bodies of victims of Operation Python Dance from last year, in mass graves in Ukwa Ngwa Abia State in the past week. Ohaneze Ndigbo and Igbo governors will not even allow IPOB to finish burying those their Fulani masters killed last year before inviting them to come and kill us again. They have no regard for even the dead.
The criminal and conspiratorial silence of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, Igbo governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo in the face of the discovery of mass graves in Abia State is damning proof that these men we regard as political and traditional leaders in Igboland especially are nothing more than lilly-livered traitors, quislings and cowards, only interest in serving the will of their Fulani masters.
The number of IPOB family members killed extra judicially as a result of Operation Python Dance and associated military operations in the South East/South South by northern Islamic dominated Nigerian Army, run into hundreds, with many still missing and unaccounted for till date. Igbo governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo is silent on these atrocities because they are part of it as confirmed by IPOB intelligence that intercepted Gov. Wille Obiano's conversation with a top northern military commander in Onitsha Barracks.
Therefore, we wish to alert the public that the same Igbo men involved in the planning and execution of Operation Python Dance across Biafraland last year are at it again this year. South East governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo should be held responsible should Buratai decide to march his Fulani Islamic soldiers into our land on another killing expedition designed to reduce the population of the South East.
We wish to place it on record that Ohaneze Ndigbo led by Nnia Nwodo, current crop of South East governors and Igbo political contractors in Abuja and Lagos, will never be forgiven for their crimes and atrocities against our people. For the sake of electoral victory, money, contracts and political appointments, they have helped in the further enslavement of a long suffering people. They are fighting against IPOB because they don't want the people to be set free.
Biafraland has become a colonial outpost of the Fulani caliphate thanks to these men. Those of them that planned Operation Python Dance last year and seeking to do same this year because of their hatred for Biafra; the Lagos/Abuja errand boys that sold their soul to the Devil in return for political office, must know that judgment is fast approaching. They and their families will be held accountable at the appointed time. There will be no mercy. Let them not say they were not warned.

IPOB Press Release

August 23, 2018

“Shame On All Igbo Leaders

 Not Condemning Detention Of

 Our Women By Okorocha”

– IPOB

The global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) condemn in its entirely the ongoing judicial charade and actions of the Magistrates Court sitting in Owerri under the control of Rochas Okorocha of Imo State with the backing of Aso Rock and those Igbo Efulefus whose silence so far is confirmation of their treacherous nature and ambivalence to the suffering of Biafrans in general and Igbos in particular.

We equally note with particular concern, the silence of some supposed human rights groups in Nigeria. We are aware that IPOB related cases always showcase the very worst in Nigerian judicial practice. The level of ignorance and disregard for simple rules of a properly constituted court of law presently on show in Imo State lends further credence to our assertion that a significant proportion of magistrates and judges are ignorant of the laws of Nigeria and rules governing their conduct.

By allowing the detention of mothers, wives and sisters that pose no discernible threat to the state, APC government represented by Rochas Okorocha in Imo, Igbo politicians in Abuja, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Igbo governors and countless other fronts are all in the pocket of Arewa north. They are weak, compromised and incapable of speaking out against blatant injustice against their own people. It confirms what we have always known, that they were all appointed or rigged into office to defend the interest of their northern Fulani masters against the collective will of the Biafran people.

Anybody in doubt as to the impotency and subservience of the Igbo political class, should look no further than the treatment of our mothers in Owerri prisons. Imo State is supposedly run by a man bearing an Igbo name, the magistrate that remanded our mothers is Igbo, the prison is run by Igbo men but they still refused to give our mothers food or allow those still nursing to breastfeed their babies.

The complete and total humiliation of the Igbo race is what we are witnessing today because even laws enacted and passed to defend the people can no longer be relied upon to save the innocent. Practicing and studying law in Nigeria is a utter and complete waste of time. It is either Nigeria and those charged with her law enforcing and judicial interpretation are not civilized enough to practice English Common Law or the essence of principle of separation of powers is completely lost on them.

What Owerri Magistrate Court displayed today and last week by remanding innocent mothers in prison is the height of judicial impunity, executive overreach and abuse of power by collaborators, both in Imo State and Abuja. Justice is no longer based on the merits of a case but on the wish of a governor or Aso Rock cabal.

The level of ignorance of the law prevalent in the Nigerian judiciary is a far greater threat to democracy than gun wielding Fulani terrorists. By allowing themselves to be used to remand our mothers in prison today and last Friday, without any legal backing, is tantamount to political suicide and judicial illegality.

A first year law student knows that a ‘Holden Charge’ is illegal because the Supreme Court of Nigeria have so declared in their ruling. Why therefore is the APC government at federal and state levels using this process, that has been declared illegal, to detain Biafrans? Rochas Okorocha, his APC Party in Imo State and the prosecutor handling the case have all broken the law by allowing the presiding magistrate to declare lack of jurisdiction as a way of delaying the case, while at the same time ordering the detention of innocent mothers. The is the exact same thing Supreme Court ruling said should not happen.

It is baffling that an overwhelming number of human rights groups in Nigeria cannot speak out against this blatant injustice because those being persecuted are Biafran women. The hatred and bias against Biafra is as much as that experienced by Jews in Europe in the days of Adolf Hitler.

Mr. Clement Nwankwo Director of Policy and Legal Advocacy Center (PLAC), Chief Innocent Chukwuma of CLEEN Foundation, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu former Chairman National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Dr. Sam Amadi Former Chairman of Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission, Barr. Uche Wisdom Durueke President Civil Liberties Organization (CLO), Okechukwuma Nwanguma Coordinator Network on Peace Reforms (NPR), Dr. Joe Otteh, Dr. Jude Ohanele, Chido Onuma, Barr. Chinenye Edmund Obiagwu Director Legal Defense and Assistance Project (LDA), Barr. Eze Onyekpere Director of Center for Social Justice. Dr. Uju Agomuoh ED PRAWA Enugu, Chilos Godsent, President Igbo National Council (INC) have all refused to talk because money and serving Fulani interest is more lucrative than standing up for the truth. They are compromised and will never speak against injustice despite being in charge of NGOs that claim to be fighting for human rights.

Nigeria is perhaps the only country where a Magistrate can overrule a Supreme Court judgement. Of what use is the Supreme Court if it’s pronouncements is not binding on a lower court. But they call themselves learned men and women. Sometimes one is tempted to ask, would it nit be better for Europe to come back and recolonise Africa because rather than making progress, we are regressing with the passage of each day.

Nnamdi Kanu Is Your True Hero Biafrans

NDIGBO AND BIAFRA, MAZI NNAMDI KANU IS YOUR TRUE HERO.
YES OR NO
BIAFRA: IPOB'S ULTIMATE DEMAND FOR THE RELEASE OF
MAZI NNAMDI KANU REMAINS UNCHANGED
BEFORE IGBO LEADERS
The refusal by the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo to meaningfully respond to the outlined terms for reconciliation and agreement with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) globally, is to say the least, most callous and a brazen act of irresponsibility. Professor Ben Nwabueze (SAN), a reputable Biafran elite had wisely encouraged a parley between the leadership of the IPOB worldwide and that of the Ohaneze Ndigbo socio-cultural group, to mend fences by seeking modalities to amicably resolve hostile areas inhibiting cordial relationship between the two bodies. This was to engender relative peace and cooperation in fostering the Biafran cause. However, the blunt refusal and insincerity of the Ohaneze leadership (Igbo leaders) to accept and address the ameliorating conditions as presented by the IPOB leadership as pre-requisites for meaningful dialogue, truncated the entire process. The unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his aged parents from the secret detention of the Nigerian army amongst others, formed part of the terms/conditions for peaceful dialogue.
Based on the Press statement signed by the IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful which was made available to Newsmen on Thursday 9th August 2018, the IPOB leadership made it pointedly clear to all the Igbo political, traditional and opinion leaders who connived with the Nigerian government to unleash terror on Igboland through Operation Python Dance II in 2017, to compel the government to respect the laws of the land and unconditionally effect the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents from illicit detention for close to one year running now. In that murderous exercise staged by the Nigerian army, hundreds of Biafran innocent agitators were tortured, killed and maimed in Aba, Isiala-Ngwa and Umuahia alongside 28 others gruesomely murdered in the palace of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's father, the traditional ruler of Afara-ukwu Ibeku, Umuahia, Biafraland. According to Comrade Emma Powerful, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has closed every available door opened for dialogue with anybody on third party consultation. He emphasized that anyone or group of persons seeking whatever attention with the IPOB, will have to directly link contact with the IPOB Global Headquarters in Germany.
The so-called Igbo leaders of thought misconstrued the opportunity presented to them to comprehensively bring repentance for their evil deeds and by implication, redeem their soiled image, to mean boasting that the entire sphere of Biafraland is firmly under their control. They proudly posited that they have the untainted pleasure of inviting or summoning anybody or group of persons at their own beck and call. This stemmed from their boasts before their Hausa-Fulani slave masters that the statements of the IPOB that the continuous extra-judicial incarceration of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his aged parents since the 14th of September 2017, portends a dangerous phenomenon which is capable of throwing the entire continent of Africa into an unprecedented upheavals if they were not immediately released. Whether Ohaneze Ndigbo with their other fellow leaders/accomplices are interested in brokering peace or not with the IPOB over their well documented treachery, it is pertinent to understand that the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents from detention serves as a veritable route for their escape from the upcoming damnable consequences. The Igbo leaders are at liberty of their right to decide on the rejection or acceptation of the conditions for peaceful reconciliation which IPOB leadership placed on the table. However, they are compulsorily obligated to demand for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu because they in concert with the Nigerian government, orchestrated the Operation Python Dance II murderous scenario from which Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was abducted on 14th September, 2017. The Ohaneze Ndigbo leadership with the Southeast Governors, unanimously instigated and endorsed that dastardly act to pave way for the planned forceful conduction of Anambra State election which Biafrans overwhelmingly rejected.
If Ohaneze Ndigbo, the Southeast governors, the traditional rulers and some other notable Southeast religious leaders who played outstanding roles in facilitating the Operation Python Dance II, fail to overtly place demands before the global community for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents, they should also note that they have wittingly given invitation to anarchy in Biafraland which will very definitely, consume all of them. It is necessary for the aforementioned/concerned Igbo leaders to fully understand that the IPOB youths have seemingly exhausted their patience, waiting for the release of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Let be aware that nobody lays claim to the monopoly of violence and therefore could resort to available means of extra-judicial, self-help mechanisms in rescuing their leader from the detention facility of the Nigerian army, with the countdown beginning hence.
The world bears witness that even the Nigerian judiciary has relinquished it's professional responsibility by failing to compel the military authorities to effect the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who was granted bail shortly before his abduction. Should Biafran youths carry through their threat, the Nigerian government should be prepared to bear the brunt because it will be catastrophic. The global community should hold Ohaneze Ndigbo, Southeast governors and of course the Nigerian army accountable for whatever eventualities. But should Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents be freed today, the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide, will then fully concentrate on global requests and diplomatic consultations for Biafra referendum cum restoration which are pivotal mandates.

Biafra : [Case Study]: Nnamdi Kanu
A True African
 Revolutionary Leader
Editorial By Biafra Reporters |

February 21, 2019

Nnamdi Kanu's method, approach, and way of life may not suit his detractors or enemies of what this young man Mazi Kanu is all for or championing; listening on his last night Wednesday been February 20, 2019, live broadcast showed a man who is determined on what he really wants from the Nigerian government or Nigeria will not rest until his people of Biafra aspirations for a free Biafra State is achieved.

The young man Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is well trained enough to counter and recounter whatever moves the Nigerian government makes towards silencing his Biafran people of their fate; Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is well spirited that it seems obvious even the cabals in Aso-Rock that once proved hard heartened to kill this innocent young man for his quest to self-determinism are all shifting grounds looking for who to heap the blames on. The Nigerian government failed initially to understand that this man was right from the onset, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should not have been imprisoned by the Nigerian government in the first place that escalated the whole thing; humanity came for his rescue when it became crystal clear that the Nigerian government are killing his people in a Nazi Holocaust-Genocide style.

The Nigerian polity got heated up repeatedly because of this very noble young Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the young Nnamdi Kanu is the master key holder of events in Nigeria of today and not one Aminu Jubril Al-Sudani that was recruited to impersonate late General Mohammadu Buhari, Maman Daura, Abba Kayria and, Tukur Buratai can attest to this hence the forced or imposed statement made by one Aminu Jubril Al-Sudani that mandated the Nigerian security agents to rain down bullets on innocent Biafrans that will virtually come out to vote since Mazi Kanu had foisted their plans.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had studied the criminality of the Nigerian government on electoral malpractices and fraudulence hitherto effected the "boycott election" order; sensing that results had already been worked and winners emerged before the election exercise called off the boycott election order and everyone in Nigerian government and her electoral organization went astray, confusion set-in; in her magnitude. The Nigerian government thinking that they have gotten Mazi Nnamdi Kanu went on quick and signed the documents the Indigenous People of Biafra presented to them as preconditions to the Biafra restoration project.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a man enough to have bend Nigerian government kneels begging for mercy and survival, the Yorubas, on one hand, are panicking what sort of agreement did the Nigerian government signed with the people of Biafra without their consent and the consent of the middle Beltans, that is to show humanity how powerful the Indigenous People of Biafra are; others, on the other hand, are demanding that IPOB made the agreement open in print and not asking their Nigerian government to make theirs open and why must it be Biafra that will make her resolutions open before her detractors that never believed in her course.

Is there any law mandating the Indigenous People of Biafra to make her stance known in any agreement whatsoever that the murderous Nigerian government tend to or signed into; take it to the bank or not, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB had rendered useless many cauldrons and not leaving no stone unturned in this struggle to freedom, Nnamdi Kanu's enemies understand this. Nnamdi Kanu is a true world-renowned revolutionary leader.

Leadership prowess is not about killing the people so as to have a government formed out of intimidation like the Nigerian government are doing, Biafrans are not interested in anything Nigerian government elections because the electoral acts of 2010 as amended was also derived from the fraud 1999 Abdulsalami Abubakar constitution; late Mohammadu Buhari imposter has contravened the constitution also by charging the Nigerian government Military and Police Force to shoot at sight electoral offenders this goes to show humanity that Nigeria is a big zoo in Africa that needs to be destroyed urgently. Here are some of Nnamdi Kanu's speeches last night being February 20, 2019, live broadcast that concluded the thesis of this article:<< ‘I am coming to Nigeria in Power and Glory>>:

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu reveals why the Saturday election may not hold. The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has said the postponed presidential election for Saturday may not hold.

The IPOB Leader said this on Wednesday night in a live broadcast. Describing election as ‘sham’, Kanu said Saturday polls may not hold because ‘Jubril of Sudan’ will be chased out of Nigeria.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu lamenting about killings of Igbos spearheaded by some Southeast governors, further revealed that he is coming back to Nigeria soon.

He said: “There’s no government in the world that doesn’t know about IPOB and fortunately I met most of them, we don’t publish all on social media.

“All these saboteurs you see online don’t exist. Check their profile and you’ll understand they’re fake. Just ignore them.

“I’m coming to Nigeria, in power and glory. I’m coming fully prepared, whatever the Nigerian government wants, we will do it there

“We called for a boycott of the Zoo. Nigeria was vibrating, we called it off they ran astray. That’s how powerful IPOB is.

“No amount of intimidation, arrest, killings will stop us from marching

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said thus “I'm not sure that their Sham election will hold on Saturday 23rd Feb; because Jubril will be chased back to Sudan, then you will know that Buhari is dead.

There is no way Jubril can survive an election in this zoo.”

EZE KINGSLEY, A U.S MILITARY OFFICER WITH BIAFRA DNA WINS SOLDIER OF THE MONTH COMPETITION IN FORT RILEY, KANSAS UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

I so much believe in this aphorism that says, 'whom God has blessed, no man can curse'. Biafrans from time immemorial have proven to be the chosen race. Inspite of the callous effort of mortal men to crush the chosen generation (Biafrans), we have continue to grow and prosper in our various spot of inhabitation all over the universe.

There is no country within the axis of America, Europe, Asia and Middle East that you won't find a Biafran who has been able to carve a good economic niche to reckon with. You will find us in most of the boards of multi national corporations, ranging from financial institutions, pharmaceutical firms, construction giants, logistics, oil and gas giants.
You will also find us in the military institutions of world powers like America, Israel and Germany. Some of the military hardwares of these world powers are being designed and manufactured by individuals with Biafra DNA. There are many of us in secret intelligent agencies of these countries. Outstanding and well decorated law enforcers. Our success in all human endeavor all over the globe speaks volume about our peculiarity.

It was yet another promising feat for an elegant, vision driven and hardworking Biafran who is presently serving in the United States of America Army. Eze Kingsley (who happens to be a close comrade right from our University days) is a graduate of political science from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka joined the U.S Army two years ago and within this frame of time, he has recorded numerous achievements in the pursuit of his lofty dream.

On the 1st of August 2018 in Kansas, Eze Kingsley who is a specialist of warfare under 1-5 FA battalion, fort Riley, won the SOLDIER OF THE MONTH competition. This is a competition that each company brings two soldiers to meet the military board. The board will question the contenders in other to ascertain the solidity of their knowledge about the US military. After which a physical fitness test will be conducted to satisfy one's level of fitness. Other factors like self confidence, appearance, uniform and many more are factored before any winner can emerge as the Soldier Of The Month.

Fortunately enough, Eze Kingsley with so much moral and intellectual mojo surmounted these high mountains and emerged as the winner of this competition. It is a recognition well deserved by this smart and hard working young Biafran. Biafrans all over the world are happy and proud of you. Congratulations to you (Nwafor) for this awesome achievement. Always remember you owe your mother land (Biafra) the responsibility of always projecting what we stand for as a people. A big congratulations!

Eze Kingsley was on the 1st of August, 2018 decorated with Army Achievement Medal in Fort Riley, Kansas! Eze Kingsley is from Mbaise in Imo State, Biafra land.

I want to use this opportunity in a very symbolic fashion, in a very special manner to appreciate all IPOB family members in Biafraland, those who are on evangelism. Our evangelism teams, they are doing marvelously well. Individual IPOB members who are disseminating this gospel of restoration and redemption with respect to the upcoming referendum.
Those who are in different places and in different places in Biafraland, we are not going to mention names here, you know yourselves and even our people are seeing them. The works they are doing speak for themselves and we must give them every necessary support and backing.
Our people have clean hands, that is why they are courageously doing what they are doing. They don't have guns, they don't have weapons but they are able to confront courageously those who have all the arsenals, all the weapons of warfare in the zoo called Nigeria terrorising innocent people. If we can courageously challenge you with all your weapons of warfare, what will happen to you when we are all armed as well either proportionately or disproportionately and come against you?
The Most High God is in charge of this project. It is divine and heaven and Earth are bearing us witness. AND MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT THIS, BIAFRA IS CLOSER THAN YOU CAN THINK OF.
And all of you who are on the ground doing what is extraordinary will indeed never be forgotten. Because of what you are doing, we are where we are today. Because of what you are doing, the world is talking about Biafra.
We will not forget principal officers, members of Directorate of states led by our indefatigable, courageous Mazi Chika Edoziem. You individual hardcore dedicated Biafrans all over the world, our brothers in diaspora, our sisters in diaspora, our fathers, our mothers, our veterans in the diaspora, we salute your courage but we are also calling you to remember that this journey have just started and we are having more than ever before enormous challenges.
We have gone 90% of this journey. The remaining 10% is the most trickiest, the most complex, the most convoluted, but with every amount of dedication, tenacity, simple maintenance of focus and simple application of ourselves to this audacious restoration of Biafra, remaining ideologically consistent, together in unity, Biafra shall be restored.
For our brothers and sisters who are still undergoing different degree of pains and difficulties, simply appreciate the fact that without us passing through these experiences Biafra will not come. You are our living heroes.
Whatever experiences you have passed through, nobody in this struggle that have not passed through experiences but experiences vary and they have come with some degree of difficulties and discomforts. We must console ourselves in the sanctity of fact that Biafra shall be restored in no time for the zoo is imploding.
Mazi Uche Mefor, Deputy Leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra.
IPOB lists terms for peace
with FG, South-East Governors
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Sunday met with the highest Igbo socio-cultural association, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and leadership of the Prof Ben Nwabueze-led Igbo Leaders of Thought (ILT), demanding the unconditional de-proscription of the group labelled “terrorist” organization, insisting it was part of the terms for peace with the federal government and southeast governors.
Also, IPOB demanded an end to all criminal prosecutions of their members arrested in various parts of the country over their self-determination agitation as well as the recognition of rights of individuals as contained in the Nigerian constitution.
During a meeting held at Prof. Nwabueze’s countryhome in Atani, Ogbaru local government council, Anambra state, the organization also demanded compensation for all IPOB members killed during the last Operation Python Dance in the southeast and the prosecution of security men that murdered them.
They reportedly were said to have demanded an end to the constant and indiscriminate harassment and arrest of its members in any part of the country by security operatives.
It was gathered that during the meeting, IPOB was said to have noted that in all the prosecution made so far against its members, none had been found guilty or convicted for crimes, insisting that “since the Ohanaeze and Southeast governors gathered together to proscribed the group, they should also gather together to de-proscribe it”
Although the IPOB team to the meeting from Germany led by their General Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, had staged a mild walk out from the meeting following what they regarded as poor presentation and acceptance of their demands by the Ohanaeze leadership to the meeting, it was however agreed that another meeting involving the five governors of the zone would be held in Enugu on August 8, where the issues would further be deliberated.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, Constitutional lawyer and elder statesman, Prof. Nwabueze noted that the de-proscription of the organization as a “terrorist” one was key among other demands presented at the meeting.
He stated that the Igbo leaders of the Thought and Ohanaeze leadership have agreed in principle to do all within their power to ensure that the organization was de-proscribed, adding that it would guarantee peace in the country.
Nwabueze, who stated that Ndigbo was desirous for the peace, unity and development of the country, said such was not achievable with the level of disenchantment in the land by various groups.
According to him, this was part of the reasons why Ndigbo was pursuing for the restructuring of the country, adding that should the country be restructured, agitation for secession would automatically be checkmated.
He said: “This is what we told the IPOB members who attended the meeting in their number and made several demands. We will surely continue our discussions with them. That is why we are involving the governors of the zone and calling for another meeting in Enugu on August 8 to enable continue. We had met some days ago in Enugu with the leadership of IPOB and that was where we agreed for a ceasefire on attacks on Ohanaeze leadership and the rest of the country. I am happy to report that they have abided by the terms of that agreement and are willing to discuss further.”
Nwabueze who was flanked during the briefing by Ohanaeze President General, Chief Nnia Nwodo and Bishop Emeritus, Rt Revd Maxwell Anikwenwa, leaders of Jewish worshippers among others, restated that Ndigbo were not interested in producing a president for the country in its present political structure.
He said that it would be difficult for such a president from Igbo extraction or any other ethnic group in Nigeria to function effectively, hence the need for quick restructuring of the country to avoid total collapse.
He said the meeting affirmed the need for rotation of the office of the president as it would give a sense of belonging to all the geopolitical zones

Elder Nwaebonyi Patrick anchored the traditional rites of the festival in consonance with the demands of tradition. He thanked Chukwuokike Abiama (God Almighty) for the bountiful harvest recorded and prayed for His blessings upon the entire Izzi, Ebonyi and Biafran people globally.

Elder Uguru Daniel in his submission, explained the full meaning of OJIJI which according to him, stands for new yam. He stated that throughout the entire land of Izzi, it is valued, respected and celebrated by the people much more than every other festivity annually.

Elder Nwamini Obaji  clearly noted that the 2018 edition of the festival was exceptional in that Izzi people in Ebonyi State have unanimously resolved to give their total and unalloyed support to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in their uncompromising agitations for the restoration of Biafra sovereignty. "Izzi people stand with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB. We are ready to do anything to make sure that Biafra is fully restored. We are tired of the contraption called Nigeria", he pointedly maintained.

In his speech, elder Vincent Onicha gave detailed explanation of the ordeals of Biafrans from 1967 to 1970, when Nigeria connived with her foreign allies to unleash genocide against us,  gruesomely killing over 3.5 million Biafrans including children, youths, women and men, which they concealed from the world with the compromised media. He called on the entire indigenous people of Izzi and Ebonyians in general, in whatever location/trade, to give maximum support to the freedom of Biafrans and the restoration efforts of the nation of Biafra. "It is the last hope of the common man as long as the black race is concerned".

Addressing the people, Mazi Wisdom Ezike urged all to love one another and always work in one accord, even in the struggle for Biafra restoration. Without love and unity he further emphasized, we cannot achieve the much needed objective.

Mazi Ishioko Jacob amongst others who spoke in the same vein, expressed joy over the giant step so far taken by Izzi people in Abakiliki Province, to officially and boldly identify with the IPOB. He urged them to look out for the closest IPOB family units and get duly registered.

It should be observed that seven days prior to the new yam festival, the Izzi people witnessed incessant rainfalls throughout the clan. This according to elder Uguru Daniel, "is significant of the blessings of Chukwuokike Abiama upon his people". Many who witnessed the Ojiji new yam festival are marked recipients of God's blessings following this year's event according to tradition, he further posited.
The 2018 edition of the festival organized by the IPOB was climaxed by enormous merriments and exchange of pleasantries. sovereign nation", as freed The people are optimistic that the 2019 edition will be celebrated in "Biafra people.

Inside EFCC report on corruption allegations against Obasanjo
As President Muhammadu Buhari and a former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, continue to engage in a war of words, PREMIUM TIMES has obtained a report by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission regarding corruption allegations against Mr Obasanjo.
The clash between the president and one of his predecessors was triggered when Mr Buhari, while receiving a delegation of the Buhari Support Organisation at the Presidential Villa on May 22, indirectly accused Mr Obasanjo ofwasting $16 billion on power projects with nothing to show for it.
Mr Obasanjo immediately fired back at the president describing his claims as ignorant and unsubstantiated.
The report, signed by the then EFCC’s Director of Operations, Ibrahim Lamorde, addressed allegations of conspiracy, fraudulent conversion of funds, abuse of office, foreign exchange conversion and money laundering against the former president.
The petitions
On August 22, 2005, the then governor of Abia State, Orji Kalu, submitted a petition alleging corrupt practices against Mr Obasanjo to the EFCC.
A second petition was delivered two years later – in November 2007 – by the Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, a nongovernmental organisation headed by Debo Adeniran, a civil society activist.
The two petitions were consolidated into a single 12-point petition which dealt largely on allegations that Mr Obasanjo’s aides and some Senators connived and took huge sums of money in oil and commissions from Defence contracts.
The petition also alleged that the hostels and sports complex at Mr Obasanjo’s Bells Secondary School and University were constructed by Strabag Construction Company with taxpayers’ money, adding that the total assets value of the university – including ongoing constructions at the time – stood at about 40 billion.
It also accused the former president of, as the Petroleum Minister between 1999 and 2006, overseeing “a significant number of fraud” in crude oil sales and accrued commissions in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
Other allegations against Mr Obasanjo include the “evidence” that he owned foreign accounts, including a Platinum Credit Card, with which he siphoned money and made purchases abroad; that a “6.5 billion proceeds” realised from the appeal fund for the construction of Mr Obasanjo’s Presidential Library were diverted to private use; and that Mr Obasanjo used his presidential powers to approve a licence to Obasanjo Farms, which was in “shambles” while he was in prison, to be sole importer of grant parent stock of chicken.
The petition also included allegations that the federal government under Mr Obasanjo exceeded its spending on Ministries, Departments, and Agencies by about 133 billion in the 2005 budget and that 521 billion was sunk into the now defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria, and yet, Nigeria was in darkness.
The petitioners further alleged that the former president, while still in office, allegedly diverted official funds to buy about 200 million units of Transcorp shares; used state funds to pursue his ‘Third term’ agenda; and spent about 300 billion on construction and maintenance of Nigeria’s roads, yet, “there are still no good roads.”
The EFCC said after receiving the petitions, it sent out an investigating team to visit Bells Secondary School and University, Obasanjo Farms in Ota, and also contacted Strabag Construction Company and officials of the Presidential Library.
Furthermore, according to the Commission, a letter was written to Mr Kalu inviting him to meet with the EFCC investigating team and assist the investigation by supplying evidence to help substantiate the allegations he raised.
“This was followed by series of telephone calls to all his houses both in Nigeria and abroad,” the EFCC report stated.
“A final appeal, through publication of the invitation, was made in newspapers. All these spirited efforts were unacknowledged as Chief Kalu declined repeated invitations.
“The second petitioner, the Chairman of CACOL, Mr Debo Adeniran, appeared in the Commission in Lagos and threw more lights on his write-up.”
Contacted on Friday night, Mr Adeniran confirmed to PREMIUM TIMES that he did submit a petition against Mr Obasanjo in November 2007 at the EFCC’s Lagos office.
Mr Adediran said following the petition, the then EFCC chairman, Farida Waziri, set up a five-man panel to look into the allegations.
“I was only invited to adopt the petition, the panel did not invite us again, even after Mr Obasanjo gave his response, they didn’t invite us to puncture his claims,” Mr Adediran said.
Obasanjo responds
In his response to the allegations against him to the EFCC, Mr Obasanjo denied any wrongdoing or involvement in corrupt acts.
He said his Obasanjo Farms was ‘structurally developed’ between 1979 and 1995 and was making a substantial profit before his detention in 1995 caused the farm to suffer a reversal of fortune.
However, by 1998, Mr Obasanjo, according to the report, said the farm was reorganised “towards a new profitability path that spurred its full rehabilitation and expansion.”
On Bells Schools, Mr Obasanjo said all the construction in the school since inception in 1995 had been done through direct labour which was supervised by himself and other officials..
On the issue of crude oil sales and fraud in the Petroleum Ministry, Mr Obasanjo said the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, and the Minister of State for Petroleum, were fully responsible and should be contacted for more information.
The former president said he has never owned a Platinum Credit Card or carried one “all his life.”
He also denied having a foreign account anywhere in the world and called on the EFCC to undertake a global search and of any such account was found, it should be frozen and the proceeds be published and subsequently seized.
Concerning the defence contractor, Mr Obasanjo said the ministers of defence were in a better position to provide the details.
What EFCC found
The EFCC said based on its own investigation, Bells Schools started off in 1991 with two blocks of burnt bricks hostels, one each for boys and girls, as well as a few number of classrooms.
“That by 1998 two additional blocks of hostels were added, again one each for both and girls. Investigations revealed that these blocks of hostels were built by direct labour contrary to the claims in the petition that it was built by Strabag Construction Company Limited,” the report said.
The report noted that Strabag Construction Company never participated in building the sports complex or hostels at any of Mr Obasanjo’s institutions.
On the Defence contracts, the EFCC said investigators showed that the Ministry awarded contracts ranging from military equipment to other related hardware valued at about 6.7 billion, $28 million, €26 million, DM6 million.
“All documents pertaining to importations, bank statements, payments and supplies made by Ministry of Defence were scrutinised and nowhere did it show that any benefit accrued to any individual or group associated or in any way linked to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo,” stated the report.
On the various contracts awarded by the NNPC and the Petroleum Ministry, the investigators also found that contracts valued at over $300 billion and 500, awarded to over 20 different companies, were neither directly nor indirectly linked to Mr Obasanjo.
The report’s findings on the Presidential Library showed that its fundraising launch on May 14, 2007, realised 3.5 billion and $250,000. Of that sum, 1.3 billion was paid to the project contractor, Messrs Gitto Construction Company of Nigeria, as well as the sub-contractors and the project consultants.
On May 26, 1999, three days before he was sworn in as President, Mr Obasanjo entered into a Trust Agreement with Lucky Egede, a lawyer, and Daniel Atsu, whose both addresses were situated at Obasanjo Farms Nigeria Limited, Ota, Ogun State to handle the affairs of the entire farm, according to the report.
The former president’s name was also removed from the list of Directors of the Farms in 1999 when he was going into public office, the report added.
The Trust Agreement with Messrs Egede and Atsu were terminated immediately after Mr Obasanjo left office in 2007.
“That investigation revealed that the Obasanjo Farms had steadily grown its balance sheet over the year (sic) through credits obtained from various banks long before he was president,” stated the report.
“That between 1988 and 1998, over 41 million was borrowed from First Bank, Union Bank, NAL Merchant Bank, Afribank, and UBA and this was used to grow the Farms while proceeds through profits were reinvested into farms.
“These loans, it was gathered during investigation, had since been repaid.”
On the Transcorp shares, the EFCC said the blind trust managers of the former president’s businesses approached the UBA for 500 million credit with which they bought 500 million units of Transcorp shares as 1 each.
“It was also revealed that the shares were used as collaterals and when the president was approached on the matter, he opted to yield back the shares to UBA as it became apparent that this has a strong public concern.
“The decision he took was to return it to UBA where it had been warehoused all along.”
The EFCC further stated that between 1999 and 2007, the PHCN received over 273.65 billion and not 521 billion and that the appropriation was for its day to day activities, including generation of electricity, transmission, and distribution.
The various contracts awarded in relation to electricity generation, according to the report, amounted to 22 billion, $445 million, and €29 million.
“All the documents relating to payments have been checked and scrutinised and there was no reference whatsoever to the former president, his relations, or any front benefitted from the contracts.”
The report further stated it could not establish that Mr Obasanjo diverted public funds for the pursuit of his ‘Third term’ agenda even after the Commission “threw public challenges soliciting for evidence from anti-third term forces in the National Assembly.”
“Going by the evidence from the facts assembled during the course of the investigation, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo could not be directly linked with the allegations,” the report concluded.
