Muamar Gaddafi's Prophecies: "I will not go into exile to any foreign country. I was born here in Libya, and I will die here. This country was a dessert, and I turned it into a forest, where everything can grow. No one Love this land more more than its citizens. If Europe and America tells you that they love you, be careful. They love the wealth of your land. The oil and not the people. They are helping you to fight against me but, it will be more wise for you to fight against them because they are fighting against your future and progress. My message to you the people of Libya is, they are helping you to kill me but you will pay the price because you will suffer. And my message to you America and Europe is, you will kill me, but be ready to fight a never ending TERRORISM. Before you realise your ignorance, terrorists will be hitting you at your doorstep." GADDAFI once told the Nigerian and British governments to divide Nigeria into two, so that the Hausa/Fulani (Moslems), Yoruba (Christians) and Biafrans/Igbo, can live as neighbouring countries. It's good we look at these 16 REAL REASONS WHY COL. GADDAFI WAS KILLED: 1. There is no electricity bill in Libya, electricity is free for all its citizens. 2. There is no interest on loans, banks in Libya are state-owned and loans given to all its citizens are at a 0% interest by law. 3. Home is considered a human right in Libya. Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a home. 4. All newlyweds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinars (US$50,000) from the government to buy their first apartment. 5. Education and medical treatments are free in Libya. Before Gaddafi, only 25% of Libyans were literates. Today, the figure stands at 83%. 6. Libyans taking up farming as a career, they received farm land, a farming house, equipment, seeds and livestock to kick- start their farms – all for free. 7. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they needed in Libya, the government funded them to go abroad for it. 8. In Gaddafi's Libya, if a Libyan buys a car, the government subsidized 50% of the price. 9. The price of petrol in Libya is $0. 14 per liter. 10. Libya has no external debt and its reserves amount to $150 billion – now frozen globally. 11. If a Libyan is unable to get employment after graduation, the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed until employment is found. 12. A portion of Libyan oil sale is credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens. 13. A mother who gave birth to a child under Gaddafi, received US $5,000 as child benefit upfront. 14. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs $ 0.15 15. 25% of Libyans have a university degree 16. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great Man- Made River Project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country. If this is called "Dictatorship", I wonder what type of Leadership Democrats has!! Share this to remember Gaddafi
Global human rights movement Amnesty
International has today published a sixty-page document titled "Nigeria:
Bullets were raining everywhere", the report clearly maps out the barbaric
human rights violations by Nigeria's security forces.
In the document following
investigations by Amnesty it shows how: The Nigerian security forces, led by
the military, embarked on a chilling campaign of extrajudicial executions and
violence resulting in the deaths of at least 150 peaceful pro-Biafra protesters
in the south east of the country.
Analysis of 87 videos, 122
photographs and 146 eyewitness testimonies relating to demonstrations and other
gatherings between August 2015 and August 2016 consistently shows that the
military fired live ammunition with little or no warning to disperse crowds. It
also finds evidence of mass extrajudicial executions by security forces,
including at least 60 people shot dead in the space of two days in connection
with events to mark Biafra Remembrance Day.
The report in greater detail also
covers: Extrajudicial Executions of Biafrans by Nigeria, Excessive use of
Force, Torture, Arbitrary Arrests and Detention of Biafrans, Pervasive Culture
of Impunity within the Military, The Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu's
Arrest and Detention, the denial of Freedom of Expression and Right of Peaceful
Assembly, the Militarization of routine Police functions, along with
accountability and the recommendations of the human rights group Amnesty
International.

BIAFRA: CONDEM
KILLING OF SHIITE
MUSLIMS; SUPPORT
KILLING OF
CHRISTIAN-
BIAFRANS;
AMERICA AND
MORAL VALUES
By
Ifeanyi Chijioke November
24, 2016
I have
constantly posited that America has not only lost her greatness under Obama;
God’s own Country has lost her moral supremacy. America is known for moral
soundness but all of a sudden; everything was cast to the whirlwind and blown
far away from her tent. Obama has done more harm than good to America; changing
her value system and everything she once stood for. The degradation is obvious,
ranging from moral values to immoral values, political values to monetary
values and from embrace of strength to embrace of imperialism.
Last
week, Washington condemned the killing of Shiite Muslims by Nigerian security
forces under the order of Muhammed Buhari, the first time the Oval office is
condemning regime atrocity in Nigeria. The condemnation which is inconsistent
has called into question the resoluteness of Washington or her willingness to
address the issue of human right without bias. This act raised consciousness of
the world to the preferential attitude of Washington. Washington is now known
for ‘pay for influence’ or can best be described as the ideology of Clinton’s
foundation. It would be fair to say that America has metamorphosed into
Clinton’s world. ‘Crooked Hillary’ as Trump would say has influenced America to
be crooked America.
The
killing of innocent people in Nigeria has been a constant thing which started
with Buhari’s pre-election speech which instigated a post-election violence
that killed thousands of people and later resulted to establishment of Boko
Haram to bastardize the Government he felt rigged election to its favor. The
failure of Washington to designate Boko Haram a terrorist organization was
testament to the fact that there is an effort to immorally protect Nigeria.
This protection can be called a crime against humanity because it contributes
or encourages crimes against humanity.
Washington
became obsessed with Nigerian government simply because she played a remarkable
role in enthroning the leadership of Aso Rock and enjoys a good relationship
which is not short of financial support; regime control, and inflow of oil to
America. Washington now puts the various gains they get from Nigeria above
humanity which poses a threat to the world at large. This position which is as
a result of Obama’s failure to build infrastructure and make America great
hence lean on other countries to make up for her greatness.
It is
disheartening that self determination declaration in 2007 by UN which was
championed by Washington under President George Bush has failed to be defended
in the face of genocide against the people lawfully and peacefully embracing
the Charter. While Amnesty International has continued to report the unlawful
killing of the people of Biafra; Washington has not found it crucial to condemn
the heinous crime against humanity. This silence has in one way or another
encouraged the killing of innocent Christian- Biafrans for no just cause.
Washington
has however found it a duty to defend Muslims and leave Christians; this is
evident by virtue of quickly standing to condemn the killing of Shiite Muslims
and has backed the killing of Christian-Biafrans by continued silence. This bias is quite worrisome because value of life ought to
be equated and balanced. Washington cannot go on to condemn the killing of
Shiite Muslims while remaining silent over the killing of Christian Biafrans.
It is
imperative to call the attention of Washington; that the killing of
Christian-Biafrans is well documented digitally. There is genocide going on in
Biafra just like it went on in 1967 and Washington kept mute. There is regime
atrocity that tends to undermine right to live and hence making
Christian-Biafrans a species of terror. There is the need to stand and condemn
the onslaught against peaceful and lawful people of Biafra. There is the need
to urge Buhari to cease military action against Biafrans and respect the right
of every Biafran.
If
Washington cannot stand for the oppressed people of Biafra; condemn violent or
unwarranted military crackdown that have led to death, then there is the need
to look back and say Donald Trump has much greater work to do than we thought.
If Muslims' lives are the only lives worth protecting or speaking up when
attacked or taken; then Washington has not only lost her moral value but lost
her belief and the Godly foundation the country stood on.

Since August
2015, Nigeria security forces have extra-judicially executed at least 150 IPOB
(indigenous People of Biafra) members and supporters and injured hundreds
during peaceful assemblies. In one incident, on 30 May 2016, during the Biafra
Remembrance Day to mark the 49th anniversary of the declaration of the Republic
of Biafra, an estimated number of more than 1,000 IPOB members and supporters
gathered for a rally in Onitsha, Anambra state, south east Nigeria, 60 of these
were killed.
Extrajudicial
executions are unlawful. They violate the right to life, as guaranteed by
Nigeria’s Constitution and International law.
Also,
IPOB members and supporters have been arrested, some in their homes and have
been subjected to various forms of torture, enforced disappearance and charged
with treasonable felony, which carries the death penalty.
The
families of these men and women deserve answers and justice. Sign the petition
below, urging the Governor of Anambra State, to initiate a prompt, independent
and impartial judicial commission of inquiry into the killings of Biafra
activists and other serious human rights violations by the security forces.
His Excellency, Governor Willie
Maduabuchukwu Obiano,
Governor of Anambra State.
We
call on you as the chief executive officer of Anambra state, to immediately
direct the state government to take all measures necessary to initiate a
prompt, independent and impartial investigation into the serious human rights
violations against IPOB members and supporters in Anambra. We call on you to
promptly establish a commission of inquiry into the extrajudicial executions
and enforced disappearance of IPOB members and supporters with a view to
bringing the suspected perpetrators to justice in fair trials without recourse
to the death penalty.
Masked witnesses in Kanu
trial, an unfathomable injustice, says HURIWA
28 December 2016
The Human Rights
Writers Association Of Nigeria (HURIWA) has described as a monumental injustice
the decision by President Muhammadu Buhari, through his Justice minister
Abubakar Malami, to parade masked witnesses against Mr Nnamdi Kanu the leader
of the Europe registered Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of
United Kingdom based Radio Biafra.
The rights group
has also criticised Justice Binta Murtallah Nyako for bragging that the Federal
High Court room is hers and therefore she can do whatever or issue whatever
order she deems appropriate just as the group said the presiding judge can’t go
outside the provisions of the Constitution in reaching a determination of any
prayer at any given stage of the subsisting matter because doing otherwise
would be illegal and absolutely non-permissible by law.
HURIWA reminded
the judge, Mrs Binta Murtallah-Nyako, that the global community is watching her
proceedings even as generations yet unborn will judge her conducts and
decisions, which would have far-reaching implications in whatever legacies she
intends to build.
Besides, HURIWA stressed that it is an unmitigated crime against
natural law for the Federal High Court to have disregarded the constitutionally
guaranteed human rights of the defendants to fair hearing and open trial just
in a choreographed attempt to railroad the accused into prison to satisfy the
wishes, whims and capricious intentions of President Muhammadu Buhari who has
on many occasions in the media passed a verdict against Mr Nnamdi Kanu and his
organisation as having committed ‘serious crime’ against his government.
The
rights group further stated that the ruling by the Federal High Court to shield
the identities of witnesses who would testify against Mr Daniel Kanu is
reminiscent of kangaroo trial process used during the brutal dictatorships that
held Nigerians in bondage for over four decades prior to 1999 when overwhelming
global pressures forced the coup plotters to vacate political offices, restored
political and democratic order and proceeded to return to their military
barracks.
“We
totally condemn Justice Binta Murtallah Nyako for granting this awkward and
unconstitutional prayers of President Muhammadu Buhari which will in the long
run deny the defendants and the rest of the citizenry the right to witness an
open, transparent, accountable and clean judicial process since the matter
involving the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) versus Muhammadu Buhari ruling
elite has since become a national phenomenon in which every citizen of Nigeria
is keen to know how the entire scenarios are resolved. The plot to present
masked witnesses is both anachronistic and antithetical to moral, and ethical
justice. This can only happen in banana republics or failed political entities
whereby military might is right”.
“We in
the human rights community believe that the claim by the leader of the
Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, of a plot by the Federal
Government to invite foreign personnel to testify against him in court is
extensively damaging and from the trajectories of events since the legal
ordeals of Mr Nnamdi Kanu started it is not farfetched to notice that indeed
the Presidency which has been on an overdrive to jail the IPOB officials by
hook or crook may have actually perfected plans to import ghost witnesses to
rope the accused into a phantom crime of treasonable felony. This illegality
which has made the current administration a laughing stock in the international
community of civilised people must be challenged and overturned on appeal.”
HURIWA
recalled that Mr Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently facing trial alongside three
other Biafra agitators, Mr. Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David
Nwawuisi publicly made the allegation on the very day Justice Binta Nyako of
the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court denied him bail.
The trial Justice
Binta refused to grant bail to any of the defendants pending the determination
of the 11-count criminal charge the Federal Government preferred against them.
Charges against Kanu and other defendants border on treasonable felony and
their alleged involvement in acts of terrorism. She equally granted the
government the prayer to present masked witnesses.
HURIWA has therefore
urged the legal team representing the IPOB hierarchy to file an appeal without
let nor hindrance just as the group has appealed to all right thinking persons
to call President Buhari to order so as to terminate this kangaroo persecution
of Mr Nnamdi Kanu and his colleagues.
HURIWA said the trial
of Nnamdi Kanu must be terminated because the agitation by IPOB for
self-determination for South East of Nigeria finds legal basis in extant global
humanitarian laws and for the practical facts that the members of IPOB are
absolutely peaceful and not known to carry arms or weapons unlike the several
rampaging gangs of armed Fulani herdsmen who have killed thousands of Nigerians
but are left by the Nigerian Military to continue their dare devil atrocities
against innocent citizens.
Let me clear my path; Nigeria
is ruled by the Northern dominated Hausa/Fulani - the political structure of Nigeria gave
the North undue advantage in Nigerian electoral system that they decide who
comes into power. The fraudulent Nigerian census that told us North has 100
million populace while east has 20 million and the west 50 million populace
killed any hope of anyone coming to power without the Hausa/Fulani supremacy.
This is why in the North; children born yesterday cast vote to meet up the
number and yet nothing happens. They may even decide to give fraudulent number
of votes and you cannot question that because they have a right to 100 million
votes.
Secondly, by tagging five Eastern governors ‘powerless’ am
very much in order because they derive power from Hausa/Fulani supremacy, thus
making them submissive. Nigerian system of government places supreme power on
the president that he can virtually stamp his authority in any state. If a
sitting governor ever goes against the wish of the president, he could possibly
be forced out of his position with presidential influence through rigging and
other means during election.
I love the five powerless men that proscribed IPOB; because
they value their political position more than anything else. They are not in
leadership for the people but in leadership for their pockets and for stable
living. Many of us who are not opportune to be there would even do more than
them, like, take riffle from the army to kill the people fighting for Biafran
statehood. We will be like; eh! These fools want to get Biafra
and cut off my own source of living, upon the kind suffering I suffer to come
here, dey wan destroy my reign.
Anyway; I commend the five powerless men for not taking the
riffle from the army but urged them to shut us up or kill us all. One thing
these state governors will regret is the fact that we the people have realized
that they get power when we vote but if we don’t vote, they would be powerless.
The power we gave them they have used against us and this is why we won’t give
them power again. They can proscribe all they want; proscribed people don’t
vote and when the revolution starts, they will come first on the list of boys.
By then; Rochas Okorocha will run back to North whence he came and others will
stay back to suffer death. If I am a prophet; that one I no sabi.
IPOB cannot in any form or shape be compared to Boko Haram
terrorists because they are unarmed, they are self-determination activists and
have no record of violence against anybody and neither have they taken a soul.
For the governors to proscribe IPOB giving the federal government and military
the fertile ground to label them terrorists is shocking. I quickly remembered
when Goodluck Jonathan tried to tag murderous Boko Haram terrorists; he was
shunned and threatened by Northern governors that it later took UN to declare
Boko Haram a terrorist group. Today; our powerless governors pleaded that IPOB
be tagged terrorist organization because of their love for money and desire for
power.
Wait a moment; had the governors defended their people, firmly told
the federal government that yes, you can criticize my people, you can clampdown
on them for their belief but you cannot rightly label them terrorists, you
cannot aggressively kill them, wouldn’t they be men and powerful?
Of course; their people are not terrorists and neither are
they armed; there is the need to love them in spite of their different
political belief, there is the need to think home and know that God is not a
man, Biafra could be restored today and they
won’t have the face to continue to be part of their people. These governors
have failed woefully but they should be rest assured that come election period;
the people will pay them back in folds.
LESSONS BUHARI SHOULD LEARN FROM MARK ELLIOT ZUCKERBERG’S EPIC ENCOUNTER WITH IPOB
November 5, 2016
Press
Statement
On
Friday, the 29th of October 2016, Mark Elliot Zuckerberg, the 32-year old
Jewish CEO of the social media platform Facebook (FB), pulled down the FB group
page belonging to Radio Biafra London (RBL). It is common knowledge that RBL is
the media arm of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). In essence, Mark
Zuckerberg intentionally and indirectly stifled IPOB from using FB to educate,
inform, and disseminate the gospel of the restoration of the nation of Biafra
to both Biafrans and non-Biafrans alike. What is more worrisome is that this
clampdown on RBL by Mr. Zuckerberg came a few weeks after he visited the serial
killer of Biafrans known as Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja-Nigeria. It is on record
that on the same day Mark Zuckerberg held a secret meeting with Buhari in
Abuja, his $95 million satellite exploded while on a launch pad in Cape
Canaveral, Brevard County in Florida-USA.
As a
stop-gap measure to the taking down of RBL FB page, the leadership of IPOB
opened another group page for RBL and invited Biafrans and friends of Biafra to
populate the page by adding their FB friends to the new group page.
Surprisingly, FB Management started blocking those who attempted to add their
friends to the group page. We posit that the blocking of people who were
populating the FB group page did not happen without the knowledge and approval
of Mr. Zuckerberg.
The
Indigenous People of Biafra are still in shock as they wonder why Zuckerberg
with a Jewish ancestry will work with an Anti-Semitic person like Muhammad
Buhari to block RBL, which is the media arm of IPOB that belongs to Biafrans
and these Biafrans have the same ancestry as Zuckerberg.
Did
money exchange hands from Buhari’s Government to Mark Zuckerberg? If so, does
Mr. Zuckerberg live with the philosophy that “money is thicker than blood“? Is
Mr. Zuckerberg aware that Buhari hates the Jews and Biafrans more than any
other thing in his life and that Buhari has visited all the neighbours of the
State of Israel but vowed never to step his feet in Israel? Does Mr. Zuckerberg
know that Buhari is the number one global campaigner for the division of
Jerusalem the Biblical and ancient capital of Israel? Is Zuckerberg aware that
Buhari covertly blocked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from conducting state
visits to West African region just as he visited the other regions of Africa?
If there
were any doubts before, the personal experience of Mark Zuckerberg in the past
few days that he shut down Radio Biafra London on Facebook has indicated to him
the force behind the new Biafra movement led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Something
Buhari is confronting every day but too proud to acknowledge publicly.
Zuckerberg
and his Facebook felt the might and divinity of IPOB in the past days when they
lost over 5% of the value of his Facebook company which cost him $3 billion,
simply because he messed with IPOB. Having been visited by this second divine
retribution, he quickly backtracked and restored RBL FB group page on Friday,
November 4th, 2016.
Contrast
this conscientious and repentant attitude of Zuckerberg towards IPOB with that
of Buhari who miscalculated and kidnapped the symbol and arrowhead of the new
fearless agitation for Biafra, the IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Despite the
calamitous destruction of the Nigerian economy, disease, pestilence,
restiveness, hunger and pain, Buhari like the Biblical Pharaoh has refused to
restore the freedom of the IPOB leader quite unlike Mark Zuckerberg that saw
the demise of his empire and quickly did the needful.
It will
be in the interest of Buhari to learn from Mark Zuckerberg's experience since
they are friends. He tampered with RBL Facebook group page and felt the wrath
of God instantly. RBL on Facebook is the central new media platform for IPOB
and all lovers of freedom including journalists, which makes it naturally the
largest and most popular forum on Facebook.
Considering
the total mess Nigeria is in and the need to avert the complete collapse of the
country into an unimaginable state of anarchy, it is our expectation that
Justice Binta Nyako will be moved to salvage what is left of the wreckage that
Nigeria has become. Failure by Binta Nyako to dismiss outright the politically
motivated and frivolous charges against the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu will invite
deadlier calamities upon Nigeria.
Moving forward,
we warn Mr. Zuckerberg to steer clear of Muhammadu Buhari and to avoid anything
that will drag him into fighting against the restoration of Biafra. Anyone who
fights against Biafra is directly fighting against the Almighty God, Chukwu
Okike Abiama, hence repercussions must follow such a person or nation.
On the
other hand, we feel so sorry for Muhammadu Buhari because he has sunk billions
of dollars into stopping Radio Biafra and the Biafran restoration process
without any success. This is beside the thousands of Biafran lives he has
killed in cold blood from August 30th, 2015 till date. Muhammadu Buhari has
blood-letting in his DNA because this was why he started his military career
with the assassination of Major-General J. T. U. Aguiyi-Ironsi on the 29th of
July, 1966. Buhari was also involved in the massacre of over two million
Biafrans at Owerri in 1968.
The
futility of Mark Elliot Zuckerberg’s clampdown on RBL FB page and the failure
of Muhammadu Buhari in silencing IPOB is a big lesson to those who are opposed
to the restoration of the nation of Biafra. The restoration of the nation of
Biafra is a divine project whose time has come and the likes of Mark Elliot
Zuckerberg and Muhammadu Buhari cannot alter the plans of the God of Biafrans
because He is indeed El-Sali, El-Haggadol, El-Elyon, and El-Gibbor.
Biafra restoration is a mandate from Sovereign LORD of all Creation.

My 3hrs Conversation With Nnamdi Kanu In Kuje Prison-Fani Kayode
Permit me to begin this contribution
with an apology for my disappearance from the literary and political scene for
the last one month but this was due to circumstances beyond my control. On
October 21st, five days after my 56th birthday, I was arrested by the EFCC
without an arrest warrant at the premises of the Federal High Court in Lagos
where I had been earlier granted bail. Thereafter I was illegally detained by
them without any detention order for 21 days.
Kindly
note that this was after I had been detained by them for a grueling 67 days 6
months ago (from 9th of May till July 15th), brought before the Federal High
Court in Lagos, arraigned on spurious and politically-motivated charges and
locked up in Ikoyi prison for a number of days whilst I attempted to perfect my
court bail. After perfecting bail, on 21st October I was re-arrested and the
whole nightmare began again: only this time it was far more insidious and
worse.
Throughout the time of the second detention
I was kept in a dingy underground cell at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja where
I met a number of other high profile opposition figures like Senator Bala
Mohammed, the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Musiliu
Obanikoro, the former Minister of State for Defence and Mr. Reuben Abati, the
former spokesman to President Goodluck Jonathan. During the course of my 21
days incarceration, my abductors did not ask me any questions or say one word
to me other than to formally serve me with a new set of fresh criminal charges
the morning after I got there which I simply signed for.
After that I heard nothing from them
and I was told nothing though I had daily visits to the medical clinic at the
EFCC due to my deteriorating health. Three weeks later, on November 10th, I was
brought before the Federal High Court in Abuja and arraigned on yet another set
of spurious, baseless and politically-motivated charges. These ones were even
more ridiculous and far-fetched than the first set in Lagos.
I was falsely accused of receiving N26
million cash from the former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki,
for media work for the Jonathan administration in 2014. Thankfully, I was
granted bail by the court and I was detained at Kuje prison for a further four
days whilst I attempted to perfect my bail. At Kuje I was kept in the terrorist
wing of the prison which was built by the British government specifically for
Boko Haram convicts and suspects.
There were 47 of them in the facility
and I was with them throughout. These were tough, disciplined, hardened,
surprisingly well-educated and intimidating men. The single cells and the
entire terrorist section of the prison was pervaded by an eerie silence
throughout the night and low tone whispers throughout the day. The only thing
that broke the monotony of silence was the regular and constant call to Muslim
prayers and the loud and regular cries of “Allahu Akbar”. This was a frightful
place and those that were locked up there were very dangerous and frightful
people yet thankfully the Lord went ahead of me.
The single cells, though small, were
clean, self-contained, well-ventilated, dry and very neat. The inmates were
surprisingly very kind and friendly towards me and turned out to be my best
friends and bodyguards whenever I toured the other parts of the prison. I was
very impressed with them and when I heard their stories and what some of them
had been subjected to by the security forces and the state tears came to my
eyes.
Most of those men were not Boko Haram
killers but had been falsely accused, tortured and just dumped into prison and
I felt nothing but pain and sorrow when I heard their stories. When I went to
visit the great and brilliant freedom fighter, Nnamdi Kanu, who is the leader
of IPOB and easily the most courageous, powerful and credible Igbo leader in
Nigeria today in his cell, we had a very instructive and long discussion.
I had never met Nnamdi before and I was
amazed at his depth of knowledge, his immense courage and his deep convictions.
There is no doubt in my mind that that man is going places and in him the Igbo
have an Ojukwu and a Nnamdi Azikiwe all rolled into one. He is destined for
greatness. My Boko Haram friends accompanied me to that meeting, drew a ten man
security cordon around me when we entered the general population of the prison
and waited outside as Nnamdi and I spoke for almost three hours.
They even accompanied me to Church on
Sunday and waited outside until we finished. Given what I have written about
Boko Haram in the past and given my total aversion to any form of violence,
terrorism and radical Islam, this was a classic case of God granting me favour
before my enemies. Everyone dreaded them in that prison but I am proud to say
that they were my friends and I will never forget their courage, kindness and
fellowship for the rest of my life.
The enemy had placed me in the lions
den but the lions and their prey became the best of friends. Not only were my
Boko Haram section mates very good to me but so were the other inmates in the
general prison population. Not only that, the head of the prison DCP Akilu
Abdullah, his Chief warden and his entire staff and team of prison wardens were
firm, courteous and professional not just to me but to all the other inmates.
This was the doing of the Lord and it was marvelous in my sight. Throughout my
travails I have never questioned God and I have been inspired and comforted by
His word which says that in all things we must give thanks to Him. I am
innocent of all the charges and allegations and as I have said elsewhere the
whole thing is an attempt by the Federal Government and an increasingly
desperate EFCC that is obsessed with my name and putting me away to discredit,
break and silence me. Yet, in all this I am not moved and neither can I ever be
broken or silenced because, like the biblical Job, “I know that my Redeemer
liveth”.
Like Shakespeare’s Macbeth, “my head is
bloodied but not bowed” and “I shall fight until the flesh is hacked from my
bones”. And as that fight and struggle unfolds and unwinds I take solace in the
powerful and beautiful words of the Victorian poet William Ernest Henley in my
favourite poem titled ‘Invictus’ which was written in 1875. He wrote, “Out of
the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever
gods may be for my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I
have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is
bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror
of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I
am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul”.
Like Nelson Mandela did at Robben
Island prison every day for 26 years, I recited that poem three times a day on
each and every day of my total of 90 days detention this year. And if I am
arrested and detained again by the EFCC or any of President Buhari’s orders numerous
security or intelligence agencies, I will continue to recite it. I have no fear
of what men or Satan can do to me and I trust and have faith in the God that I
serve. Having explained my absence for the few weeks with this appetizer,
permit me get to the meat of it and now serve the main dish of this
contribution. (TO BE CONTINUED).
Donald Trump’s rejoycing White House win is a slap in the face for Barack Obama, who was elected eight years ago as the country’s first black president on the promise of a nation united.
Hillary Clinton’s defeat is certainly a setback for Obama, who campaigned hard for his former secretary of state, traveling across the country and employing the charisma and charm that she sorely lacks.
But, aside from being the loss of a typical battle between the two major American political parties, the 70-year-old real estate tycoon’s success is also a stinging personal blow for Obama.
It certainly appears that as if this ever calm, cerebral and optimistic president failed to understand a large slice of the American electorate and appreciate their reflexes, fears and concerns.
Indeed, it would seem Obama has failed to take the pulse of this other America, a world of working class whites who felt they have been left in the lurch amid rapid fire change from globalization and an increasingly multicultural society.
Over the short term, Obama, whose approval ratings remain high as he prepares to leave office in January, might well ask what will even be left of his legacy after a Trump administration.
Trump has promised to scrap or overhaul many of Obama’s signature initiatives, such as the health care plan that bears his name, the battle against climate change and the Paris accord of 2015, and the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal.
Obama has stated adamantly that Trump, criticized as a loose gun on everything from foreign policy to his treatment of women, is a danger to democracy. “We can’t afford the other guy. Can’t do that! Can’t do that!” Obama said in Las Vegas a few days ago.
The Deputy Senate president, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has described the victory of Donald Trump in the US presidential election as a historic victory for the world.
Ike Ekweremadu, in a congratulatory message to Donald Trump has also commended Hilary Clinton of the Democratic Party for calling to concede the presidency to her rival and congratulating him on his hard-worn victory, Daily Post reports. “Mr. Trump has rightly described the election as historic. But it is not only historic for the U.S, but also for the world. It is an important reminder to the entire world of the true meaning and essence of democracy as government of the people,” Ekweremadu said.
“I urge him to work for democracy, global peace and prosperity because the peace and prosperity of America is intrinsic in that of the entire world.
Ekweremadu called for better bilateral deals for Nigeria by the incoming Donald Trump presidency, adding that the people of Nigeria and indeed the Peoples Democratic Party are willing and ready to work with the incoming U.S government for the good of both nations.
The Senator also enjoined emerging democracies, including Nigeria, to emulate the democratic and transparent nature of the U.S election, noting that the will of the people and respect for democratic principles must be allowed at all times.
“We have many lessons to learn from the American presidential election. It was highly democratic, transparent, peaceful, and free of intimidation, willful manipulations, contrived security scares; and it was absolutely conclusive, even though the ruling party was losing, and eventually lost,” Ekweremadu said.
Donald Trump from the Republican party defeated Hillary Clinton from the Democratic Party to win the US presidential election on Wednesday, November 9, in stunning victory that sent shockwaves around the world.
The Republican took the key swing states of Florida, North Carolina and Ohio early this morning, as he marched towards the White House.
Meanwhile, there is serious fear across the world that a Donald Trump as president of the United States of America would quicken tension between America and many countries.
Though Trump, in reaction to his victory, had said he would be a president to all Americans, citizens of the US, many have expressed fear over his victory.
Many of them, just like their colleagues in other parts of the world are ‘mourning’ and saying it is just a payback for an eight-year rule by President Barack Obama, a black man, just as Trump’s supporters have continued to celebrate.
Real estate developer Donald
John Trumpwas born in 1946, in Queens, New York. In 1971, he became involved in large, profitable building projects in Manhattan. In 1980, he opened the Grand Hyatt, which made him the city's best-known developer. In 2004, Trump began starring in the hit NBC reality series The Apprentice, which also spawned the offshoot The Celebrity Apprentice. Trump turned his attention to politics, and in 2015 he announced his candidacy for president of the United States on the Republican ticket. After winning a majority of the primaries and caucuses, Trump became the official Republican candidate for president on July 19, 2016. That November, Trump was elected the 45th President of the United States when he defeated Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
Early Life and Education
Donald John Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York, the fourth of five children of Frederick C. and Mary MacLeod Trump. Frederick Trump was a builder and real estate developer who specialized in constructing and operating middle-income apartments in Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn. Donald was an energetic, assertive child, and his parents sent him to the New York Military Academy at age 13, hoping the discipline of the school would channel his energy in a positive manner.
Trump did well at the academy, both socially and academically, rising to become a star athlete and student leader by the time he graduated in 1964. He then entered Fordham University and two years later transferred to the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania, from which he graduated in 1968 with a degree in economics. During his years at college, Trump secured education deferments for the Vietnam War draft and ultimately a 1-Y medical deferment after he graduated.
New York Real Estate Developer
Trump followed his father into a career in real estate development, bringing his grander ambitions to the family business. As a student, Trump worked with his father during the summer and then joined his father's company, Elizabeth Trump & Son, after graduation from college. He was able to finance an expansion of the company's holdings by convincing his father to be more liberal in the use of loans based on the equity in the Trump apartment complexes. However, business was very competitive and profit margins were narrow.
In 1971, Donald Trump was given control of the company, which he later renamed the Trump Organization. He also moved his residence to Manhattan, where he began to make important connections with influential people. Convinced of the city's economic opportunity, Trump soon became involved in large building projects in Manhattan that would offer opportunities for earning high profits, using attractive architectural design and winning public recognition.
When the Pennsylvania Central Railroad entered bankruptcy, Trump was able to obtain an option on the railroad's yards on the West Side of Manhattan. When initial plans for apartments proved unfeasible because of the poor economic climate, Trump promoted the property as the location of a city convention center, and the city government selected it over two other sites in 1978. Trump's offer to forego a fee if the center were named after his family, however, was turned down, along with his bid to build the complex, which was ultimately named in honor Senator Jacob Javits.
Trump's business practices were called into question when, in 1973, the federal government filed a complaint against Trump, his father and their company alleging that they had discriminated against tenants and potential tenants based on their race, a violation of the Fair Housing Act, which is part of the Civil Rights Act of 1968. Trump responded to the case in an interview published in the New York Times. “They are absolutely ridiculous,” he said of the Justice Department which filed the case. “We never have discriminated, and we never would. There have been a number of local actions against us, and we've won them all. We were charged with discrimination, and we proved in court that we did not discriminate.”
After a lengthy legal battle, the case was settled in 1975. As part of the agreement, the Trump company had to train employees about the Fair Housing Act and inform the community about its fair housing practices. Trump wrote about the resolution of the case in his 1987 memoir Art of the Deal: "In the end, the government couldn’t prove its case, and we ended up taking a minor settlement without admitting any guilt."
Meanwhile Trump had set his sights on making a big splash in commercial real estate. In 1974, he obtained an option on one of Penn Central's hotels, the Commodore, which was unprofitable but in an excellent location adjacent to Grand Central Station. The next year he signed a partnership agreement with the Hyatt Hotel Corporation, which did not have a large downtown hotel. Trump then worked out a complex deal with the city to win a 40-year tax abatement, arranged financing and then completely renovated the building, constructing a striking new facade of reflective glass designed by architect Der Scutt. When the hotel, renamed the Grand Hyatt, opened in 1980, it was instantly popular and proved an economic success, making Donald Trump the city's best known developer in the process.
Expanding His Empire
In 1979, Trump leased a site on Fifth Avenue adjacent to the famous Tiffany & Company as the location for a monumental $200-million apartment-retail complex designed by Der Scutt. Opened in 1982, it was dubbed Trump Tower. The 58-story building featured a six-story atrium lined with pink marble and included an 80-foot waterfall. The luxurious building attracted well-known retail stores and celebrity renters and brought Trump national attention.
During the same period Trump was investigating the profitable casino gambling business, which was approved in New Jersey in 1977, and in 1980 he was able to acquire a piece of property in Atlantic City. Trump brought in his younger brother Robert to head up the complex project of acquiring the land, winning a gambling license and obtaining permits and financing. Holiday Inn Corporation, the parent company of Harrah's casino hotels, offered a partnership, and the $250 million complex opened in 1984 as Harrah's at Trump Plaza. Trump bought out Holiday Inn soon thereafter and renamed the facility Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. Trump also purchased a Hilton Hotels casino-hotel in Atlantic City when the corporation failed to obtain a gambling license and renamed the $320 million complex Trump's Castle. Later, while it was under construction, he was able to acquire the largest hotel-casino in the world, the Taj Mahal at Atlantic City, which opened in 1990. In 2016, it was announced the Trump Taj Mahal would be closing its doors amid multiple bankruptcies throughout the years and a lengthy strike by workers. Trump himself had lost his last remaining ten percent interest in the company for the licensing of his name in March when Carl Icahn took over hoping to save the casino.
Back in New York City, Donald Trump had purchased an apartment building and the adjacent Barbizon-Plaza Hotel in New York City, which faced Central Park, with plans to build a large condominium tower on the site. The tenants of the apartment building, however, who were protected by the city's rent-control and rent-stabilization programs, fought Trump's plans and won. Trump then renovated the Barbizon, renaming it Trump Parc. In 1985 he purchased 76 acres on the West Side of Manhattan for $88 million to build a complex to be called Television City, which was to consist of a dozen skyscrapers, a mall and a riverfront park. The huge development was to invite television production and feature the world's tallest building, but community opposition and a long city-approval process delayed commencement of construction on the project. In 1988 he acquired the Plaza Hotel for $407 million and spent $50 million refurbishing it.
Ups and Downs of Business
Expanding his empire to the south, around this time Trump developed a condominium project in West Palm Beach, Florida, and in 1989 he branched out to purchase the Eastern Air Lines Shuttle for $365 million, which he later renamed the Trump Shuttle. After failing to be profitable, Trump defaulted on the loans and the airline venture ended in 1992 after a merger. In January 1990, Trump flew to Los Angeles to unveil a plan to build a $1 billion commercial and residential project featuring a 125-story office building.
It was in 1990, however, that the real estate market declined, reducing the value of and income from Trump's empire; though he had asserted his own net worth in the neighborhood of $1.5 billion at that time, a Forbes magazine investigation into his assets revealed that his existing debt likely brought the number closer to $500 million. In any event, the Trump Organization required a massive infusion of loans to keep it from collapsing, a situation which raised questions as to whether the corporation could survive bankruptcy. Some observers saw Trump's decline as symbolic of many of the business, economic and social excesses that had arisen in the 1980s.
Donald Trump eventually managed to climb back from a reported deficit of nearly $900 million, claiming to have reached a zenith of more than $2 billion. However, independent sources again questioned his math, estimating his worth at something closer to $500 million by 1997.
In 2000, Trump construction made headlines again when a state appeals court ruled that he had the right to finish an 856-foot-tall condominium. The Coalition for Responsible Development had sued the city, charging it was violating zoning laws by letting the building reach heights that towered over everything in the neighborhood. The city has since moved to revise its rules to prevent similar projects, but the failure of Trump's opponents to obtain an injunction allowed him to continue construction.
Reality TV & Political Ambitions
On October 7, 1999, Trump announced the formation of an exploratory committee to inform his decision whether or not to seek the Reform Party's nomination for the presidential race of 2000. However, after a poor showing during the California primary, Trump withdrew his candidacy. It would not quell his political aspirations, however.
In 2004 Trump took advantage of his high-profile persona when he began producing and starring in the NBC reality series The Apprentice, in which contestants competed for a management position within the Trump Organization. The show quickly became a hit and made famous Trump's television catchphrase "You're fired." The success of the show resulted in numerous spin-offs, including The Celebrity Apprentice that showcased well-known figures as contestants.
In 2012, Trump's flirtation with politics resumed when he publicly announced he was considering running for president again. However, his prior association with the "Birther" movement, a fringe group that staunchly believed President Barack Obama was not born in the United States, seemingly discredited his political reputation.
Beginning in early 2011, Trump expressed doubts about the validity of Obama’s birth country to media outlets. To quell the staunch outcry from birtherists, Obama eventually released his birth certificate in April 2011, verifying that he was born in the United States. Regardless, Trump continued to be a vocal critic of President Obama—not only regarding his place of birth—but also on a variety of his policies. In the years since, Trump continued to question the president's birthplace through his 2012 reelection.
In 2013, Trump tweeted that a Hawaiian State Health Director, who died of cardiac arrhythmia following a plane crash, was somehow connected to a cover-up of the president's birth certificate. In 2016, as he began to clinch his own nomination as the GOP candidate for president, Trump toned down his stance, telling CNN, “I have my own theory on Obama. Someday I will write a book.” Later that fall, feeling pressure from his campaign advisors to put the conspiracy theory to rest as part of a strategy to appeal to minority voters, Trump issued a statement conceding that the president was indeed born in the U.S. In his statement, Trump also blamed his presidential rival, Hillary Clinton, on the matter: "Hillary Clinton and her campaign of 2008 started the birther controversy. I finished it. I finished it. You know what I mean," Trump stated. "President Barack Obama was born in the United States, period.”

On June 16, 2015, Trump made his White House ambitions official when he announced his run for president on the Republican ticket for the 2016 elections, joining a crowded field of more than a dozen major candidates. "I am officially running for president of the United States," Trump said during his announcement at Trump Towers in New York City, "and we are going to make our country great again." He added with his signature bravado: "I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created.”
Upon Trump's announcement to run for president, his scathing, derogatory remarks about Mexicans and immigration caused NBC to sever business ties with him. “Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump,” NBC responded in a statement. "To that end, the annual Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageants, which are part of a joint venture between NBC and Trump, will no longer air on NBC."
The statement added: "In addition, as Mr. Trump has already indicated, he will not be participating in The Celebrity Apprentice on NBC. Celebrity Apprentice is licensed from Mark Burnett's United Artists Media Group and that relationship will continue."
In response to NBC, Trump was unapologetic and defiant, filing a $500 million dollar lawsuit against the company, with his daughter Ivanka stating that her father's comments were distorted by the media. Yet among great social outcry, other organizations have withdrawn from associations with Trump as well: The Professional Golfers Association of America pulled plans for its fall Grand Slam tournament to be held at Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles, while representatives for Macy's announced that the retail chain would no longer carry Trump's menswear collection.
On July 18, 2015, Trump set off another media maelstrom with comments made at the Christian-oriented Family Leadership Summit in Iowa, calling out Senator and one-time Republican presidential nominee John McCain's reputation as a military hero. "He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured," Trump said, referring to McCain having been detained during the Vietnam War for several years after being gunned down as an airman, surviving multiple broken limbs and torture. Military veteran groups and advocates have generally denounced Trump's statements.
Despite these and his many other controversial remarks, a national phone poll completed by late July 2015 saw Trump in the lead for the Republican nomination, with ex-governor of Florida Jeb Bush slightly behind and within the poll's margin of error. More than half of Republican voters polled said that they were still unsure about which candidate from the large pool of contenders they would ultimately support.
Nonetheless, having garnered major media attention, Trump was one of the ten top candidates who participated in a Fox News presidential debate in early August. While the mogul continued a tone set in earlier appearances, he was critiqued and questioned on everything from his business practices to demeaning, sexist comments made about women via television and social media. Trump later made highly insulting remarks about moderator Megyn Kelly for the nature of her questions, and was hence disinvited from an Atlanta speaking engagement. He also initially maintained that he might opt for a third-party candidacy if running on the Republican ticket wasn't viable, but later signed a loyalty pledge stating he wouldn't do so.
As of March 2016, Trump appeared to be the likely Republican presidential nominee, with only Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Ohio Governor John Kasich holding out hope for their campaigns. Trump maintained a commanding lead over his opponents despite ongoing criticisms and controversies, including his proposal to ban the immigration of Muslims to the United States, an apparent endorsement of waterboarding, and widespread protests at his political rallies, several of which had turned violent.
As the campaign rolled on, so did further controversy, this time about the lawsuits filed against Trump University. In 2005, Trump launched his for-profit Trump University offering classes in real estate and acquiring and managing wealth. The venture has been under scrutiny almost since its inception and at the time of his presidential bid, it remains the subject of multiple law suits. In the cases, claimants accuse Trump of fraud, false advertising and breach of contract. Controversy about the suits made headlines when Trump suggested that U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel, could not be impartial in overseeing two class action cases because of his Mexican heritage. Trump described the judge as “a hater of Donald Trump. . .”
Later, in a separate incident related to Trump University, it was reported that a Florida attorney general decided not to join the existing New York fraud lawsuit, just days after she had received a sizable campaign donation from the Donald J. Trump Foundation. Founded in 1988, the Donald J. Trump Foundation is a private charity organization designed to make donations to non-profit groups. As a result of the improper donation to the attorney general's campaign, Trump was required to pay the IRS a penalty and his foundation came under scrutiny about the use of its funds for non-charitable activities. Additionally, according to tax records, The Trump Foundation itself was found to have no charitable gifts from Donald Trump since 2008 and that all donations since that time have come from outside donations to the Trump Foundation.
Trump also courted controversy over the course of his presidential run when he repeatedly said he would not release his tax returns while they were being audited by the Internal Revenue Service. In August 2016, he confirmed that he would not release his tax returns before the November election. It was the first time a major party candidate had not released such information to the public since Richard Nixon in 1972.
GOP Presidential Nominee
Trump's decisive Indiana primary victory in May 2016, in which he won 53% of the vote in a three-way race, is marked as the moment he clinched the Republican presidential nomination and laid to rest any notions of a contested convention. On May 26, 2016, 29 unbound delegates told the Associated Press that they would support him at the GOP convention. With their backing, Trump pulled in the support of 1,238 delegates, slightly above the 1,237 delegate count needed to secure the nomination.
Senator Cruz's defeat in Indiana, after a previous string of losses, prompted him to suspend his campaign.
Leading up to the Republican convention in July 2016, there was much speculation about Trump's selection of a running mate. The presumptive Republican presidential nominee narrowed his decision down to three candidates — New Jersey governor Chris Christie, former House speaker Newt Gingrich and Indiana governor Mike Pence. On July 15, 2016, Trump officially announced that Pence was his choice for vice presidential nominee.
I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Governor Mike Pence as my Vice Presidential running mate. News conference tomorrow at 11:00 Soon after the Republican National Convention in Cleveland got underway, Trump was officially voted in as the 2016 Republican presidential nominee.
On July 21, 2016, Trump accepted the presidential nomination at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. In a one-hour-and-15-minute long speech, one of the longest acceptance speeches in recent history, Trump outlined the issues he would tackle as president including violence in America, the economy, immigration, trade, terrorism and the appointment of Supreme Court Justices.
"My plan will begin with safety at home – which means safe neighborhoods, secure borders, and protection from terrorism," he told his supporters. "There can be no prosperity without law and order."
On immigration, he said: “We are going to build a great border wall to stop illegal immigration, to stop the gangs and the violence, and to stop the drugs from pouring into our communities.”
Trump also promised supporters that he would renegotiate trade deals, reduce taxes and government regulations, repeal Obamacare, defend 2nd Amendment gun rights, and “rebuild our depleted military,” asking the countries the U.S. is protecting “to pay their fair share.”
In an historic moment, he became the first Republican nominee to mention LGBTQ Americans in an acceptance speech. After speaking of the mass shooting at a gay club in Orlando, Florida, Trump said: "As your President, I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology."
Following this remark, he received a standing ovation from the crowd in the convention hall. Trump also criticized his Democratic opponent saying: “the legacy of Hillary Clinton: death, destruction, terrorism and weakness.”
“The most important difference between our plan and that of our opponent, is that our plan will put America first,” he added. “Americanism, not globalism, will be our credo. As long as we are led by politicians who will not put America first, then we can be assured that other nations will not treat America with respect. The respect that we deserve.”
As the Democratic National Convention convened, Trump wasted no time responding to the speeches against him as well as the allegations he was some how tied to Vladimir Putin and a recent hacking of the DNC emails linked to Russia. Of Putin, he vehemently denied having a relationship with the Russian leader.
Trump also came under fire when he attacked Khizr Khan, the father of fallen soldier Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who had given a speech at the Democratic National Convention in tribute to his son who had been killed in the line of duty in Iraq. Asserting Trump has “sacrificed nothing and no one,” Khan called the billionaire out on a number of policies including his call to ban Muslims from entering the U.S.; he also questioned whether Trump had read the Constitution. The emotional speech struck a chord with the nation on all social and traditional media outlets.
In an interview with George Stephanopoulos following the convention, Trump responded to Khan’s assertion about his lack of sacrifice stating, “I think I have made a lot of sacrifices. I've [sic] work very, very hard. I've created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I've done— I've had tremendous success.” Trump also questioned why Mrs. Khan, who stood silent at her husband’s side, didn’t speak and later insinuated that perhaps it was her religion that forbid her to talk. “His wife, if you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably — maybe she wasn't allowed to have anything to say. You tell me, but plenty of people have written that.”
As the presidential race heated up in September 2016, Trump received a long awaited endorsement from Ted Cruz, his rival in the Republican primary. Cruz posted his endorsement on Facebook just days before Trump’s first presidential debate with his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton. In the Facebook post, Cruz wrote: “After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump.”
In his long explanation supporting his endorsement, Cruz wrote: “Our country is in crisis. Hillary Clinton is manifestly unfit to be president, and her policies would harm millions of Americans. And Donald Trump is the only thing standing in her way.”
Trump responded in a statement to CNN: ”I am greatly honored by the endorsement of Senator Cruz," he said. "We have fought the battle and he was a tough and brilliant opponent. I look forward to working with him for many years to come in order to make America great again." 'Access Hollywood' Controversy & Sexual Assault Allegations
On October 7, 2016, just two days before the second presidential debate, Trump was embroiled in another shocking scandal when The Washington Post released a 2005 recording in which he lewdly described kissing and groping women, and trying to have s*x with television personality Nancy O’Dell, who was married at the time. The three-minute recording captures Trump speaking to Billy Bush, co-anchor of Access Hollywood, as they prepared to meet soap opera actress Arianne Zucker for a segment of the show. "I’ve gotta use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her,” Trump said in the recording which was caught on a microphone that had not been turned off. “You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything."
He also said that because of his celebrity status he could grab women by their genitals. In response, Trump released a statement saying: “This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course — not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended.”
Trump later posted a videotaped apology on Facebook in which he said: “I’ve never said I’m a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that I’m not. I’ve said and done things I regret, and the words released today on this more than a decade-old video are one of them. Anyone who knows me knows these words don’t reflect who I am. I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize.”
The backlash was immediate with some top Republicans including Senators John McCain, Kelly Ayotte, Mike Crapo, Shelley Moore Capito and Martha Roby withdrawing their support for Trump. Although he did not withdraw his endorsement of Trump, House Speaker Paul Ryan reportedly told fellow GOP lawmakers that he would not campaign with or defend the presidential candidate. Some GOP critics also called for Trump to withdraw from the race, including former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice who wrote on Facebook: "Enough! Donald Trump should not be President. He should withdraw."
Trump remained defiant, tweeting that he would stay in the race. “The media and establishment want me out of the race so badly - I will never drop out of the race, will never let my supporters down!”
Around the same time as the video leak, numerous women began speaking publicly about their past experiences with Trump, alleging he had either sexually assaulted or harassed them based on their looks. Of the most egregious charges, one woman claimed Trump had raped her when she was 13 years old at a party hosted by convicted pedophile and billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.
Historic Presidential Election In a stunning victory that defied polls, Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States on November 8, 2016. He defeated Hillary Clinton by earning 279 electoral votes to her 218. After one of the most contentious presidential races in U.S. history, Trump's surprising rise to the office of president was considered a resounding rejection of establishment politics by blue-collar and working class Americans. In his victory speech delivered at 2:30 am the following morning when the race was called, Trump said: “I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all Americans."
"As I’ve said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign, but rather an incredible and great movement made up of millions of hard-working men and women who love their country and want a better, brighter future for themselves and for their families," Trump said about his supporters.
He also spoke to the Americans who did not vote for him. "For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I’m reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so we can work together and unify our great country.”
Trump acknowledged his opponent, who called him to concede, saying: “Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country. I mean that very sincerely.”
He ended his victory speech with a promise to the country. "We’re going to get to work immediately for the American people," he said. "And we’re going to be doing a job that hopefully you will be so proud of your president. You’ll be so proud. Again, it’s my honor. It was an amazing evening. It’s been an amazing two-year period. And I love this country."
Such a beautiful and important evening! The forgotten man and woman will never be forgotten again. We will all come together as never before
Personal Life
In 1977, Trump married Ivana Zelnickova Winklmayr, a New York fashion model who had been an alternate on the 1972 Czech Olympic Ski Team. After the 1977 birth of the couple's first of three children, Donald John Trump Jr., Ivana Trump was named vice president in charge of design in the Trump Organization and played a major role in supervising the renovation of the Commodore and the Plaza Hotel. The couple had two more children together — Ivanka (born in 1981) and Eric (born in 1984) — and went through a highly publicized divorce which was finalized in 1992.
In 1993 Trump married Marla Maples, an actress with whom he had been involved for some time and already had a daughter, Tiffany (born in 1993). Trump would ultimately file for a highly publicized divorce from Maples in 1997, which became final in June 1999. A prenuptial agreement allotted $2 million to Maples.
In January 2005, Trump married for a third time in another highly publicized and lavish wedding, this time to Slovenian model Melania Knauss, more than twenty years his junior. Among the many celebrity guests at the wedding were Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton. She gave birth to their son, Barron William Trump, in March 2006.
Trump's children — Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric— work as executive vice presidents for The Trump Organization.
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu, on Wednesday, said the United States of America, USA, will be great again under the Presidency of Donald Trump.
In a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the pro-Biafra group congratulated the winner of US Presidential election, stressing that Trump’s victory was an act of God.
The statement reads, “The IPOB under the command structure of Mazi Nnamd Kanu the director of radio and Biafra television thank the good people of America and Republican party who challenged the incumbent president of Barack Obama and the democratic party to a stand still and defeated them to the landslide winning.
“Furthermore, we thank God Almighty (Chukwu okike Abiama) who made it to be possible because if it is the wish of some power brokers and some party members in America, it will not be possible.
“Mr Donald Trump passed through so many trials and so many odds from the leadership of the party but God Almighty made it possible for him to become the president of United States of America USA, not man.
Trump: No Salary for Me as President
Billionaire U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Thursday he does not want the $400,000 annual salary that comes with the White House job and would turn it down if elected.
Trump, the front-runner for the Republican nomination in the 2016 race despite having no political experience, was asked at a town hall-style meeting in Rochester, New Hampshire, if, as president, he would roll back generous pension and healthcare benefits given to members of Congress.
“The first thing I’m going to do is tell you that if I’m elected president, I’m accepting no salary, OK?” Trump said. “That’s no big deal for me.” Trump, who built his fortune as a developer, real estate mogul and reality television personality, was listed on Thursday at No. 405 on Forbes magazine’s list of the world’s billionaires, with a fortune of $4.1 billion. Shortly after announcing his candidacy in June, Trump said his net worth was more than $10 billion. Herbert Hoover, who made millions of dollars in mining before becoming president in 1921, and John F. Kennedy, who came from a wealthy family, both donated their presidential salaries to charity.
Thank you. Thank you very much, everyone. Sorry to keep you waiting. Complicated business, complicated. Thank you very much. I’ve just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us. It’s about us. On our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign.
I mean she fought very hard. Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.
I mean that very sincerely. Now it is time for America to bind the wounds of division, have to get together, to all Republicans and Democrats and independents across this nation I say it is time for us to come together as one united people. It is time. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all of Americans, and this is so important to me.
For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I’m reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so that we can work together and unify our great country.
As I’ve said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign but rather an incredible and great movement, made up of millions of hard-working men and women who love their country and want a better, brighter future for themselves and for their family.
It is a movement comprised of Americans from all races, religions, backgrounds and beliefs, who want and expect our government to serve the people, and serve the people it will.
Working together we will begin the urgent task of rebuilding our nation and renewing the American dream. I’ve spent my entire life in business, looking at the untapped potential in projects and in people all over the world.
That is now what I want to do for our country. Tremendous potential. I’ve gotten to know our country so well. Tremendous potential. It is going to be a beautiful thing. Every single American will have the opportunity to realize his or her fullest potential. The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.
We are going to fix our inner cities and rebuild our highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, schools, hospitals. We’re going to rebuild our infrastructure, which will become, by the way, second to none, and we will put millions of our people to work as we rebuild it. We will also finally take care of our great veterans who have been so loyal, and I’ve gotten to know so many over this 18-month journey.
The time I’ve spent with them during this campaign has been among my greatest honors.
Our veterans are incredible people. We will embark upon a project of national growth and renewal. I will harness the creative talents of our people and we will call upon the best and brightest to leverage their tremendous talent for the benefit of all. It is going to happen. We have a great economic plan. We will double our growth and have the strongest economy anywhere in the world. At the same time we will get along with all other nations, willing to get along with us. We will be. We will have great relationships. We expect to have great, great relationships. No dream is too big, no challenge is too great. Nothing we want for our future is beyond our reach.
America will no longer settle for anything less than the best. We must reclaim our country’s destiny and dream big and bold and daring.
We have to do that. We’re going to dream of things for our country, and beautiful things and successful things once again.
I want to tell the world community that while we will always put America’s interests first, we will deal fairly with everyone, with everyone.
All people and all other nations. We will seek common ground, not hostility, partnership, not conflict. And now I would like to take this moment to thank some of the people who really helped me with this, what they are calling tonight a very, very historic victory.
First I want to thank my parents, who I know are looking down on me right now. Great people. I’ve learned so much from them. They were wonderful in every regard.
I are truly great parents. I also want to thank my sisters, Marianne and Elizabeth who are here with us tonight. Where are they? They’re here someplace. They’re very shy actually.
And my brother Robert, my great friend. Where is Robert? Where is Robert? My brother Robert, and they should be on this stage but that’s okay. They’re great. And also my late brother Fred, great guy. Fantastic guy. Fantastic family. I was very lucky . Great brothers, sisters, great, unbelievable parents. To Melania and Don and Ivanka and Eric and Tiffany and Barron, I love you and I thank you, and especially for putting up with all of those hours.
This was tough. This was tough. This political stuff is nasty and it is tough. So I want to thank my family very much. Really fantastic. Thank you all.
Thank you all. Lara, unbelievable job. Unbelievable. Vanessa, thank you. Thank you very much. What a great group.
You’ve all given me such incredible support, and I will tell you that we have a large group of people. You know, they kept saying we have a small staff. Not so small. Look at all of the people that we have. Look at all of these people. And Kellyanne and Chris and Rudy and Steve and David. We have got tremendously talented people up here, and I want to tell you it’s been very, very special.
I want to give a very special thanks to our former mayor, Rudy Giuliani. He’s unbelievable. Unbelievable. He traveled with us and he went through meetings, and Rudy never changes. Where is Rudy. Where is he? [Chanting “Rudy”] Gov. Chris Christie, folks, was unbelievable.
Thank you, Chris. The first man, first senator, first major, major politician — let me tell you, he is highly respected in Washington because he is as smart as you get, Senator Jeff sessions.
Where is Jeff? A great man. Another great man, very tough competitor. He was not easy. He was not easy. Who is that? Is that the mayor that showed up? Is that Rudy? Up here. Really a friend to me, but I’ll tell you, I got to know him as a competitor because he was one of the folks that was negotiating to go against those Democrats, Dr. Ben Carson. Where’s been? Where is Ben? By the way, Mike Huckabee is here someplace, and he is fantastic. Mike and his familiar bring Sarah, thank you very much.
Gen. Mike Flynn. Where is Mike? And Gen. Kellogg. We have over 200 generals and admirals that have endorsed our campaign and there are special people. We have 22 congressional medal of honor people.
A very special person who, believe me, I read reports that I wasn’t getting along with him.
I never had a bad second with him. He’s an unbelievable star. He is — that’s right, how did you possibly guess? Let me tell you about Reince. I’ve said Reince. I know it. I know it. Look at all of those people over there. I know it, Reince is a superstar. I said, they can’t call you a superstar, Reince, unless we win it. Like secretariat. He would not have that bust at the track at Belmont.
Reince is really a star and he is the hardest working guy and in a certain way I did this. Reince, come up here. Get over here, Reince.
Boy, oh, boy, oh, boy. It’s about time you did this right. My God. Nah, come here. Say something.
[Reince Priebus: Ladies and gentlemen, the next president of the united States, Donald Trump! Thank you. It’s been an honor. God bless. Thank God.]
Amazing guy. Our partnership with the Rev was so important to the success and what we’ve done, so I also have to say, I’ve gotten to know some incredible people.
The Secret Service people. They’re tough and they’re smart and they’re sharp and I don’t want to mess around with them, I can tell ya. And when I want to go and wave to a big group of people and they rip me down and put me back down in the seat, but they are fantastic people so I want to thank the Secret Service.
And law enforcement in New York City, they’re here tonight. These are spectacular people, sometimes under appreciated unfortunately, we we appreciate them. So it’s been what they call an historic event, but to be really historic, we have to do a great job and I promise you that I will not let you down. We will do a great job. We will do a great job. I look very much forward to being your president and hopefully at the end of two years or three years or four years or maybe even eight years you will say so many of you worked so hard for us, with you you will say that — you will say that that was something that you were — really were very proud to do and I can — thank you very much.
And I can only say that while the campaign is over, our work on this movement is now really just beginning. We’re going to get to work immediately for the American people and we’re going to be doing a job that hopefully you will be so proud of your president. You will be so proud. Again, it’s my honor.
It’s an amazing evening. It’s been an amazing two-year period and I love this country. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you to Mike Pence.
DONALD TRUMP WINS AS BIAFRA HAILS VICTORY READY TO GO HOME!!
Republican Donald Trump has stunned the world by defeating Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House, ending eight years of Democratic rule and sending the United States on a new certain path.
Mr Trump took to the stage with his family to claim victory at his New York headquarters, and said he had taken a call from Mrs Clinton, who will not be speaking publicly this evening.
“She congratulated us and I congratulated her on a very very hard fought campaign. We owe her a major debt of gratitude
Mr Trump had repeatedly slammed his campaign rival as “crooked” during their bruising campaign.
Claiming victory, the president-elect said it was time to “heal the divisions” caused by the campaign and find common ground.
However, the indegeneuos people of Biafra has express its profound gratitude for this merited victory. recall earlier that Trump promises to help restore biafra if elected president.
there are jovial hullabaloo in many parts of Biafraland now, says mr chukwu who expressed that the victory for trum is avictory for Biafra restoration.
“However, he should also remember his promises to the people of America and other people across the globe because USA is going to be great again by the power of God Almighty who selected him from the mist of millions in America.
“Therefore, we wish him successful handover and best luck in his days in the oval office at the white house. We pray to God Almighty (Chukwu Okike Abiama) to guide and protect USA and Donald Trump the newly elected president. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND DONALD TRUMP.”
Like our leader Nnamdi Kanu often says, Biafra is a Spirit, and any one that is fighting against it is fighting against the spirit, and that (he/she) will always lose, then, any one who is supporting it must always win-it is just a matter of time. . One of the mystery and untold (reasons) why Trump won the presidential election, is the "Spirit of Biafra" that possessed him on one of his rallies. This same Spirit made him to openly declare to the whole world that if he wins, that he will restore the Republic of Biafra-which is long over due to have independence. people may not understand this mystery. By that very singular utterance, I tell you, "it is finished." (This) same "Spirit of Biafra" has gone international. . IPOB, you asked for Biafra...., now, Biafra you are going to get-for the Spirit of Biafra is at work. Trump's victory is to our advantage-for Biafrans supported him to the very last point of his victory, so he can not fail us. The Biafra you (the) IPOB have been looking for, will soon be delivered to your door steps with ease, because Chukwu Abiama has done it. Just watch out from now-now that Clinton and Obama who pretended not to know how IPOB were being destroyed, enslaved and massacare; those who refused to speak out against the injustices meted against Biafra-are now out of the way. Now, you will know that indeed, "Biafra is a spirit." Very soon different world leaders will start talking about Biafra independed-just watch out. . REMEMBER, since 1928 when Herbert Hoover won the president of US, no Republican has won the US president except Richard Nixon and Bush family. And while the Democrats lay much emphasis on balanced of governance all over the world by ensuring "democracy" and adherent to rule of law world wide, the Republicans lay more emphasis on freedom and rights of people all over the world including the Rights to Self-Determination. Now, you will understand the difference between Obama's "Democrat" and Trump's "Republican." . Trump must do the needful and restore Biafra through a referendem, because the "spirit of Biafra" that gave him the victory is at work and also, fighting for (his) people of Biafra. . This same "Spirit of Biafra" has been responsible for the turning of predictions of TB Joshua and Primate Ayodele's (who) saw in the spirit rhyme-where Hilary Clinton (female) won the US president. The same Spirit had made "some" to have ear problem, as well as having destroyed the economy. It has also slapped a governor in SE at different occasion, yet (they) refused to stop working again Biafra and let Biafra go. Or do we talk about what the Spirit did to the owner of facebook: Mark Zuckerbeg-just for tempering with RADIO BIAFRA LONDON facebook-(Group) Page? . So, right now, IPOB, be (still) and be happy-for the "Spirit of Biafra" (has) arise to fight for (his) people. We know the God we serve-it is a living God-we know that (it) is not possible to defeat Clinton-with all Obama's connections against Trum; we also know that all the Nigerian leaders and enemies of Biafra were all supporting Clinton to win-so as to continue to enslavement Biafrans, but Chukwu Abiama said "no" and has done it for us; the "Spirit of Biafra" has given IPOB's candidate victory. All you need to do (after) (reading) this (post), is to "COMMENT" below that: "Biafra is a spirit" for indeed, (it) is a spirit.

stronger alliance

JERUSALEM, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday congratulated the United States elected president, Donald Trump, saying he believe the alliance between the two countries will grow stronger.
In a statement released by his office, Netanyahu referred to Trump as "a true friend of the State of Israel," saying he expect to bring the relations with the U.S. to "new heights" during Trump's governance.
"We will act together to advance the security, stability, and peace in our region," Netanyahu said, adding that the firm bond between Israel and the U.S. is based on "mutual interests."
Netanyahu refrained from endorsing either candidate during the recent presidential campaign. He held two separate meetings with both of them in New York.
During his campaign, Trump sided with Israel and vowed to acknowledge East Jerusalem as part of its capital. Israel occupied this predominantly Palestinian territory in 1967 and later annexed it in a move never recognized by the international community.
Trump’s Victory: Obama got what he did to Jonathan, says Fayose ON NOVEMBER 9, 2016
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has hailed the victory of the Republican Presidential candidate, Donald Trump in the United States of America (USA) election, describing it as “the beginning of a real change in Nigeria because those who imposed the present All Progressives Congress (APC) government on Nigerians just lost out.” The governor said; “Now that Trump has won, it portends hope for Nigerians that the excesses of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government will stop as the road has ended for those who conspired to impose Buhari on Nigerians.”
Reacting to Trump’s victory, Special Assistant to the Governor of Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka quoted the governor as saying in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday that he believed that Trump will be able to tell President Buhari to respect rule of law and sit at home to solve the country’s economic problems instead of junketing around the world.
The governor said: “Trump presidency symbolises different things to different people and nations. It symbolises God at work and a clear departure from the old order. “It is also a turning point for Nigeria and Nigerians, particularly those controlling the federal government that must have to change their ways as their allies who imposed them on us just lost out. “Most importantly, President Barack Obama got what he did to Dr Goodluck Jonathan.
God bless President-Elect Donald John Trump!” Describing the conduct of the elections as a lesson for Nigerians, Governor Fayose said; “The US elections started and ended seamlessly. The electoral umpire never meddled; the military, police and SSS did not provide cover for ballot snatchers. No printing of doggy result sheets. I think Prof Mahmood Yakubu and his INEC should learn from this for posterity.
They should stop aiding unpopular politicians to rob the people of quality leadership.” Speaking further, Governor Fayose said the election of Trump signals the hope of a possible defeat of the APC government foisted on Nigeria by the USA influence. The governor said; “I prayed to God that if Trump will be the one to save us from this present state of hopelessness, God should give him victory. I prayed that God should let Trump win so that another change can begin in Nigeria.
I am happy that God answered my prayers and gave Trump a resounding victory. “I am also happy that God has humbled those who conspired to impose the present APC government that has brought hunger, suffering, abuse of human rights and destruction of the Electoral system on Nigeria and its people.”

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra
(IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu on Thursday, November 10, wrote an open letter to the United
States of America’s President-elect Donald Trump. In his letter sent to
NAIJ.com, the IPOB leader congratulated Trump for his victory at the just
concluded US election. Kanu also warned the president-elect of the
responsibilities he will be facing as the 45th president of the US. He also
said there is need for Trump to be firm, knowing that most African leaders pose
a danger to world peace and a threat to the US. READ ALSO: JUST IN: US
election: IPOB makes a SHARP move on Donald Trump Kanu further listed benefits
the US and its leadership stands to gain with building a relationship with
Biafra. Below is the Kanu’s letter to Donald Trump: Dear Mr.
President-Elect It is with great joy that I Nnamdi Kanu received the news
of your election victory as the 45th President of the United States of America
at the just concluded US Presidential election. On behalf of the Indigenous
People of Biafra, please accept my warmest congratulations on your
well-deserved victory. Mr. President, the American people have given you
their mandate and trust, not only to make America Great Again, but also to
bring positive changes in the affairs of humanity.
Our
victory has placed a historic and moral burden upon you to liberate enslaved
nations in Africa, trapped in artificially created boundaries designed to
reinforce colonial domination and subjugation. Self-Determination is a sacred
right of all people as demonstrated by the good people of United Kingdom when
they opted out of the European Union. It is imperative to draw historical
parallels between your victory and that of the great Dwight Eisenhower a fellow
Republican, who was instrumental in the dismantling of European colonialism in
Africa. I pray that you follow in his footsteps, by bringing to a deserved end
neo-colonial enslavement, currently championed by puppet dictatorial and
tyrannical regimes.
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have
every confidence that as the leader of the free world, you have both the
capacity and the will to confront the challenges ahead and meet the
expectations of the American people in particular and the oppressed people of
the world in general.
Your victory has therefore come with the
responsibility to unite and heal the wounds of the past, including the
re-writing of some aspects of the dark history of American foreign policy in
Africa, championed by established interests, who worked through successive US
administrations to actively sponsor undemocratic rogue regimes, corrupt
dictatorships and more recently unrepentant arch genocidists.
Such
rulers, especially in Africa, remain a direct danger to world peace and
security but more importantly a potent and subsisting threat to United States
interests in Africa. A Trump administration should resist every
temptation, be it financial inducement to US politicians, political blackmail
or otherwise, to partner with these tyrannical regimes in black Africa that
specialize in ‘crushing’ the inalienable rights of its citizens, while
using this as a cover to loot the treasury dry. Tyranny is bad for mankind
because history have always taught us that all great wars were started by
tyrants.
It is
your responsibility Sir, as the leader of the free world, to hastily undo the
mess that US Africa foreign policy has become under the Barack Obama
administration. The rights of distinct ethnic nationalities to seek self
determination should be upheld. A free Biafra would be an ally of the United
States of America on many fronts, as both nations share the same
Judeo-Christian Greco-Roman value system with jealous disposition to
safeguarding the rights of the individual.
May the Almighty God give you wisdom and
protect you as you embark upon this historic service to humanity.
