AMNESTY REPORT: MASSACRE OF
BIAFRANS BY BUHARI
NIGERIA: "Bullets were raining
everywhere"!!
Global human rights movement Amnesty
International has today published a sixty-page document titled "Nigeria:
Bullets were raining everywhere", the report clearly maps out the barbaric
human rights violations by Nigeria's security forces.
In the document following
investigations by Amnesty it shows how: The Nigerian security forces, led by
the military, embarked on a chilling campaign of extrajudicial executions and
violence resulting in the deaths of at least 150 peaceful pro-Biafra protesters
in the south east of the country.
Analysis of 87 videos, 122
photographs and 146 eyewitness testimonies relating to demonstrations and other
gatherings between August 2015 and August 2016 consistently shows that the
military fired live ammunition with little or no warning to disperse crowds. It
also finds evidence of mass extrajudicial executions by security forces,
including at least 60 people shot dead in the space of two days in connection
with events to mark Biafra Remembrance Day.
The report in greater detail also
covers: Extrajudicial Executions of Biafrans by Nigeria, Excessive use of
Force, Torture, Arbitrary Arrests and Detention of Biafrans, Pervasive Culture
of Impunity within the Military, The Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu's
Arrest and Detention, the denial of Freedom of Expression and Right of Peaceful
Assembly, the Militarization of routine Police functions, along with
accountability and the recommendations of the human rights group Amnesty
International.

BIAFRA: CONDEM
KILLING OF SHIITE
MUSLIMS; SUPPORT
KILLING OF
CHRISTIAN-
BIAFRANS;
AMERICA AND
MORAL VALUES
By Ifeanyi Chijioke
November 24, 2016
I have constantly posited that America has not only lost her greatness under Obama; God’s own Country has lost her moral supremacy. America is known for moral soundness but all of a sudden; everything was cast to the whirlwind and blown far away from her tent. Obama has done more harm than good to America; changing her value system and everything she once stood for. The degradation is obvious, ranging from moral values to immoral values, political values to monetary values and from embrace of strength to embrace of imperialism.
Last week, Washington condemned the killing of Shiite Muslims by Nigerian security forces under the order of Muhammed Buhari, the first time the Oval office is condemning regime atrocity in Nigeria. The condemnation which is inconsistent has called into question the resoluteness of Washington or her willingness to address the issue of human right without bias. This act raised consciousness of the world to the preferential attitude of Washington. Washington is now known for ‘pay for influence’ or can best be described as the ideology of Clinton’s foundation. It would be fair to say that America has metamorphosed into Clinton’s world. ‘Crooked Hillary’ as Trump would say has influenced America to be crooked America.
The killing of innocent people in Nigeria has been a constant thing which started with Buhari’s pre-election speech which instigated a post-election violence that killed thousands of people and later resulted to establishment of Boko Haram to bastardize the Government he felt rigged election to its favor. The failure of Washington to designate Boko Haram a terrorist organization was testament to the fact that there is an effort to immorally protect Nigeria. This protection can be called a crime against humanity because it contributes or encourages crimes against humanity.
Washington became obsessed with Nigerian government simply because she played a remarkable role in enthroning the leadership of Aso Rock and enjoys a good relationship which is not short of financial support; regime control, and inflow of oil to America. Washington now puts the various gains they get from Nigeria above humanity which poses a threat to the world at large. This position which is as a result of Obama’s failure to build infrastructure and make America great hence lean on other countries to make up for her greatness.
It is disheartening that self determination declaration in 2007 by UN which was championed by Washington under President George Bush has failed to be defended in the face of genocide against the people lawfully and peacefully embracing the Charter. While Amnesty International has continued to report the unlawful killing of the people of Biafra; Washington has not found it crucial to condemn the heinous crime against humanity. This silence has in one way or another encouraged the killing of innocent Christian- Biafrans for no just cause.
Washington has however found it a duty to defend Muslims and leave Christians; this is evident by virtue of quickly standing to condemn the killing of Shiite Muslims and has backed the killing of Christian-Biafrans by continued silence. This bias is quite worrisome because value of life ought to be equated and balanced. Washington cannot go on to condemn the killing of Shiite Muslims while remaining silent over the killing of Christian Biafrans.
It is imperative to call the attention of Washington; that the killing of Christian-Biafrans is well documented digitally. There is genocide going on in Biafra just like it went on in 1967 and Washington kept mute. There is regime atrocity that tends to undermine right to live and hence making Christian-Biafrans a species of terror. There is the need to stand and condemn the onslaught against peaceful and lawful people of Biafra. There is the need to urge Buhari to cease military action against Biafrans and respect the right of every Biafran.
If Washington cannot stand for the oppressed people of Biafra; condemn violent or unwarranted military crackdown that have led to death, then there is the need to look back and say Donald Trump has much greater work to do than we thought. If Muslims' lives are the only lives worth protecting or speaking up when attacked or taken; then Washington has not only lost her moral value but lost her belief and the Godly foundation the country stood on.

Since August
2015, Nigeria security forces have extra-judicially executed at least 150 IPOB
(indigenous People of Biafra) members and supporters and injured hundreds
during peaceful assemblies. In one incident, on 30 May 2016, during the Biafra
Remembrance Day to mark the 49th anniversary of the declaration of the Republic
of Biafra, an estimated number of more than 1,000 IPOB members and supporters
gathered for a rally in Onitsha, Anambra state, south east Nigeria, 60 of these
were killed.
BIAFRA : PROSCRIPTION
OF IPOB BY FIVE POWERLESS
September 25, 2017
Extrajudicial
executions are unlawful. They violate the right to life, as guaranteed by
Nigeria’s Constitution and International law.
Also,
IPOB members and supporters have been arrested, some in their homes and have
been subjected to various forms of torture, enforced disappearance and charged
with treasonable felony, which carries the death penalty.
The
families of these men and women deserve answers and justice. Sign the petition
below, urging the Governor of Anambra State, to initiate a prompt, independent
and impartial judicial commission of inquiry into the killings of Biafra
activists and other serious human rights violations by the security forces.
His Excellency, Governor Willie
Maduabuchukwu Obiano,
Governor of Anambra State.
We
call on you as the chief executive officer of Anambra state, to immediately
direct the state government to take all measures necessary to initiate a
prompt, independent and impartial investigation into the serious human rights
violations against IPOB members and supporters in Anambra. We call on you to
promptly establish a commission of inquiry into the extrajudicial executions
and enforced disappearance of IPOB members and supporters with a view to
bringing the suspected perpetrators to justice in fair trials without recourse
to the death penalty.
Masked witnesses in Kanu
trial, an unfathomable injustice, says HURIWA
28 December 2016
The Human Rights
Writers Association Of Nigeria (HURIWA) has described as a monumental injustice
the decision by President Muhammadu Buhari, through his Justice minister
Abubakar Malami, to parade masked witnesses against Mr Nnamdi Kanu the leader
of the Europe registered Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of
United Kingdom based Radio Biafra.
The rights group
has also criticised Justice Binta Murtallah Nyako for bragging that the Federal
High Court room is hers and therefore she can do whatever or issue whatever
order she deems appropriate just as the group said the presiding judge can’t go
outside the provisions of the Constitution in reaching a determination of any
prayer at any given stage of the subsisting matter because doing otherwise
would be illegal and absolutely non-permissible by law.
HURIWA reminded
the judge, Mrs Binta Murtallah-Nyako, that the global community is watching her
proceedings even as generations yet unborn will judge her conducts and
decisions, which would have far-reaching implications in whatever legacies she
intends to build.
Besides, HURIWA stressed that it is an unmitigated crime against
natural law for the Federal High Court to have disregarded the constitutionally
guaranteed human rights of the defendants to fair hearing and open trial just
in a choreographed attempt to railroad the accused into prison to satisfy the
wishes, whims and capricious intentions of President Muhammadu Buhari who has
on many occasions in the media passed a verdict against Mr Nnamdi Kanu and his
organisation as having committed ‘serious crime’ against his government.
The
rights group further stated that the ruling by the Federal High Court to shield
the identities of witnesses who would testify against Mr Daniel Kanu is
reminiscent of kangaroo trial process used during the brutal dictatorships that
held Nigerians in bondage for over four decades prior to 1999 when overwhelming
global pressures forced the coup plotters to vacate political offices, restored
political and democratic order and proceeded to return to their military
barracks.
“We
totally condemn Justice Binta Murtallah Nyako for granting this awkward and
unconstitutional prayers of President Muhammadu Buhari which will in the long
run deny the defendants and the rest of the citizenry the right to witness an
open, transparent, accountable and clean judicial process since the matter
involving the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) versus Muhammadu Buhari ruling
elite has since become a national phenomenon in which every citizen of Nigeria
is keen to know how the entire scenarios are resolved. The plot to present
masked witnesses is both anachronistic and antithetical to moral, and ethical
justice. This can only happen in banana republics or failed political entities
whereby military might is right”.
“We in
the human rights community believe that the claim by the leader of the
Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, of a plot by the Federal
Government to invite foreign personnel to testify against him in court is
extensively damaging and from the trajectories of events since the legal
ordeals of Mr Nnamdi Kanu started it is not farfetched to notice that indeed
the Presidency which has been on an overdrive to jail the IPOB officials by
hook or crook may have actually perfected plans to import ghost witnesses to
rope the accused into a phantom crime of treasonable felony. This illegality
which has made the current administration a laughing stock in the international
community of civilised people must be challenged and overturned on appeal.”
HURIWA
recalled that Mr Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently facing trial alongside three
other Biafra agitators, Mr. Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David
Nwawuisi publicly made the allegation on the very day Justice Binta Nyako of
the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court denied him bail.
The trial Justice
Binta refused to grant bail to any of the defendants pending the determination
of the 11-count criminal charge the Federal Government preferred against them.
Charges against Kanu and other defendants border on treasonable felony and
their alleged involvement in acts of terrorism. She equally granted the
government the prayer to present masked witnesses.
HURIWA has therefore
urged the legal team representing the IPOB hierarchy to file an appeal without
let nor hindrance just as the group has appealed to all right thinking persons
to call President Buhari to order so as to terminate this kangaroo persecution
of Mr Nnamdi Kanu and his colleagues.
HURIWA said the trial
of Nnamdi Kanu must be terminated because the agitation by IPOB for
self-determination for South East of Nigeria finds legal basis in extant global
humanitarian laws and for the practical facts that the members of IPOB are
absolutely peaceful and not known to carry arms or weapons unlike the several
rampaging gangs of armed Fulani herdsmen who have killed thousands of Nigerians
but are left by the Nigerian Military to continue their dare devil atrocities
against innocent citizens.
GOVERNORS AND ELECTION BOYCOTT
By Ifeanyi Chijioke – TBP
By Ifeanyi Chijioke – TBP
September 25, 2017
I came late; but make you no blame me, I don think this
proscription sotee I wan talk. I decided to talk because I have taken enough
time studying what happened among Northern governors in the build up to
labeling armed Boko haram terrorist group. The then chief of army staff was
forced out of office by Northern governors for even daring to fight misguided
brothers of Northerners (Boko Haram). But in the case of peaceful and civilized
activists, our governors set the pace of genocide; they want us all to die so
that Nigerian money can be for them alone. Federal government has not illegally
tagged IPOB a terrorist organization before the five powerless governors read
their communiqué that proscribed IPOB. That is a strong indication that the
governors are dedicated servants of the Hausa/Fulani supremacy. They indirectly
made the way for the 'Trojan horse' to slaughter dissent voices with different
political belief by illegally labeling them terrorists.
Let me clear my path;Nigeria
is ruled by the Northern dominated Hausa/Fulani - the political structure of Nigeria gave
the North undue advantage in Nigerian electoral system that they decide who
comes into power. The fraudulent Nigerian census that told us North has 100
million populace while east has 20 million and the west 50 million populace
killed any hope of anyone coming to power without the Hausa/Fulani supremacy.
This is why in the North; children born yesterday cast vote to meet up the
number and yet nothing happens. They may even decide to give fraudulent number
of votes and you cannot question that because they have a right to 100 million
votes.
Secondly, by tagging five Eastern governors ‘powerless’ am very much in order because they derive power from Hausa/Fulani supremacy, thus making them submissive. Nigerian system of government places supreme power on the president that he can virtually stamp his authority in any state. If a sitting governor ever goes against the wish of the president, he could possibly be forced out of his position with presidential influence through rigging and other means during election.
I love the five powerless men that proscribed IPOB; because they value their political position more than anything else. They are not in leadership for the people but in leadership for their pockets and for stable living. Many of us who are not opportune to be there would even do more than them, like, take riffle from the army to kill the people fighting for Biafran statehood. We will be like; eh! These fools want to getBiafra
and cut off my own source of living, upon the kind suffering I suffer to come
here, dey wan destroy my reign.
Anyway; I commend the five powerless men for not taking the riffle from the army but urged them to shut us up or kill us all. One thing these state governors will regret is the fact that we the people have realized that they get power when we vote but if we don’t vote, they would be powerless. The power we gave them they have used against us and this is why we won’t give them power again. They can proscribe all they want; proscribed people don’t vote and when the revolution starts, they will come first on the list of boys. By then; Rochas Okorocha will run back to North whence he came and others will stay back to suffer death. If I am a prophet; that one I no sabi.
IPOB cannot in any form or shape be compared to Boko Haram terrorists because they are unarmed, they are self-determination activists and have no record of violence against anybody and neither have they taken a soul. For the governors to proscribe IPOB giving the federal government and military the fertile ground to label them terrorists is shocking. I quickly remembered when Goodluck Jonathan tried to tag murderous Boko Haram terrorists; he was shunned and threatened by Northern governors that it later took UN to declare Boko Haram a terrorist group. Today; our powerless governors pleaded that IPOB be tagged terrorist organization because of their love for money and desire for power.
Let me clear my path;

Wait a moment; had the governors defended their people, firmly told
the federal government that yes, you can criticize my people, you can clampdown
on them for their belief but you cannot rightly label them terrorists, you
cannot aggressively kill them, wouldn’t they be men and powerful?
Of course; their people are not terrorists and neither are they armed; there is the need to love them in spite of their different political belief, there is the need to think home and know that God is not a man,Biafra could be restored today and they
won’t have the face to continue to be part of their people. These governors
have failed woefully but they should be rest assured that come election period;
the people will pay them back in folds.
Of course; their people are not terrorists and neither are they armed; there is the need to love them in spite of their different political belief, there is the need to think home and know that God is not a man,
