Biafran Atonement Day 22-23 September 2015
Atonement - In
Chriatian Theology, atonement describes how human beings can be reconciled to
God. Atonement refers to the forgiving or pardoning of sin to enabling the
reconciliation between God and His creation.
In the bible
book of Leviticus 17:14, Chiukwu Okike Abiama (God) said thus- “the life of
every creature is in its blood. That is why I have said to the people of
Israel, ‘You must never eat or drink blood, for the life of any creature is in
the blood. ‘So whoever consumes blood will be cut off from the community.
In the years
gone past in Biafraland, our forebears committed all sorts of atrocities which
ranges from selling of fellow Biafrans as slaves to the Europeans, spilling the
blood of fellow Biafrans, Osu caste system etc. These were among other
despicable sins committed and abhorred by our Chiukwu Okike (God the Creator),
hence He allowed us to suffer in the ugly hands of Hausa-Fulani feudalists.
Notwithstanding
these detour, Chiukwu Okike Abiama been so merciful, knowing that His creatures
are mere mortals, He set out a remedy (atonement) and commanded His subjects to
atone periodically for their sins in order to be worthy to be called His
children again and reconciled with Him. In the book of 2 Chronicles 7:14,
Chiukwu Okike Abiama said, if my people who are called by my name shall humble
themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then
will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Harnessing
from this ample opportunity to reconcile with Chiukwu Okike Abiama, the
Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) all over the world in conjunction with Radio
Biafra shall atone for her sins on Tuesday 22 September 2015 starting at
sunrise till Wednesday 23 September 2015 at sunset as practiced every year.
Biafrans both home in Biafraland and in the Diaspora are encouraged to observe
this days of atonement, and seize the opportunity to ask for forgiveness of
sins but more importantly pray for the restoration of Biafra our beautiful
home.

The Day of Atonement starting on Tuesday 22nd of September and ending on the the Wednesday 23rd September 2015 by 4 pm.
In Hebrew word. Atonement is called Yomkipur. Atonement Day refers to the forgiving or pardoning of sin in general and original sin in particular through the death and resurrection of divine Yahoshua Hamashia enabling the reconciliation between Yahweh and his creation.
This Atonement comes up every year to atone via the Biblical formation and today, we the Biafrans all over the world chooses 22nd and 23rd September to atone for sins / iniquities of Biafra / Biafrans, so that Yahweh our Chukwu Okike Abiama will have mercy upon us.
The Bible's central message is atonement. From the first stories in Genesis to the last version of Revelation, it is everywhere apparent that Yahweh seeks to reconcile his people to himself and that he has provided a way to do so. The word atonement is almost the only theological term of English origin.
Most modern translations render this word "Reconciliation" in its other occurrences throughout the N.T (See Romans 5: 11).
Atonement in the Old Testament:
Certainly the most frequently mentioned means of atonement in the Old Testament were the blood sacrifices, dominating the use of the term by constant reference in the books of Leviticus and Numbers. Atonement needed to be made for everything from heinous crimes like idolatry (Numbers 16: 47) to mistakes of intent, when the only sin was ignorance or error, not willfull disobedience (Numbers 15: 22-29).
Day of Atonement:
The day of Atonement was an annual day of repentance for the Old Testament people of Israel the rites for which are set forth in Leviticus chapter 16 (also see Exodus 30:10; Leviticus 23: 27-31, 25:9; Numbers 29:7-11). it is described as a solemn fast, a Sabbath on which no food or drink could be consumed, and on which all work was forbidden. Sacrifices were offered by the high priest as atonement for himself and for the people. "Perhaps the heart of the Old Testament teaching on atonement is found in Leviticus 16, where the regulations for the day of Atonement occur. Five characteristics relating to the ritual of the Day of Atonement are worthy of note because they are generally true of atonement as it is found throughout Scripture: 1) the sovereignty of Yahweh in atonement; 2) the purpose and result of making atonement; 3) the two goats emphasize two different things, and the burning another, about the removal of sin; 4) that Aaron had to make special sacrifice for himself; 5) the comprehensive quality of the act.''
Atonement in the New Testament:
The New Testament presents the person and work of Yahoshua as Yahweh's ultimate provision for atonement. The English word atonement is used to describe the New Testament concept of Yahoshua presented as our reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18), as a propitiation (1 John 4:10), in giving his life as "a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28), having poured out his blood "for the forgiveness of sins'' (Matt:26:28).
"Particularly important for the full biblical pictures of atonement as it is found in Yahoshua is the sacrifice Aaron makes for himself and his family (Leviticus 16:11-14). Everyone, even the high priest, is guilty and needs atonement that can only be provided by Yahweh Himself.
The author of Hebrews emphasizes this point to make clear his doctrine of the purity of Yahoshua as both the true and perfect sacrifice and the true and perfect priest who performs the ritual of atonement (8:3-6; 9: 6-15). The Old Testament sacrifices are shown to be but shadows of the real sacrifice of Yahoshua on the Cross by the fact of Aaron's sinfulness; an imperfect high priest cannot offer a true sacrifice, just as the blood of bulls and goats could never truly pay for the offense of human sin or substitute for the shedding of human blood.''
Therefore Atonement is a day of reconciliation, humbleness, "Ubochi Nwedanala" and a day of total repentance.
A day of fasting and praying, confessing your sins and the sins of Biafra. Take note of Daniel 9: 3-20 and 2 Chronicles 7:14-16./
In light of this important revelation, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have selected 22nd September and 23rd Sept 2015 as a day of Biafran "Atonement.'' Prayers, yes, quantity of prayers are what is called for today and fasting is encouraged. Seek, your inner Spirit for clue on your exact direction to observe this propitiation.
Pray for forgiveness of our sins and ask Yahweh our Chukwu Okike Abiama to help us restore Biafra just like He answered for the Israelite, whom we identify with as the true children of Yahweh.
